Just a fun class... I'd recommend it to anyone w/ Mr. Bishopp.

Very easy and very informative

Really great guy, knows his stuff. Class is pretty easy, take home midterm and final. He requires that you come and meet with him at least once during the semester, and he's a really cool guy to talk to.

i went to class 3 times. once for the first class, second to turn in my midterm, and third tp turn in my final. easy A

You can tell Professor Bishopp enjoys teaching, and being around young minds that he can help mold.I know he gets a kick out of shocking the students with some of his comments like the one about Sesame Street contributing to attention-deficit disorder.

Bishopp is an enjoyable person, making a great teacher. Its important to attend class to take notes. They will be very important for your mid-term and Final. He doesnt strictly follow the book, but I recommend buying it. I enjoyed the museum assignment!

REALLY interesting class. Doesn't compare to other IVC classes or teachers for that matter. But be forewarned, he really believes in the feedback loop so be prepared to engage/participate in lectures. Attendance is also an ABSOLUTE MUST.

i barely went to class, wrote 4 essays and got an A. but his essays arent easy.u have to be able to write REALLY good essays! but theres no tests-ur grade is just based on ur writing skills.

Very good teacher!!! I'm so glad to be in his class. I feel lucky! I learn about other things besides the coarse topic. For the rest of my life I know I'll remember what he has said. I wish he taught other subjects, I'd sign up!!!

im taking mr b for art 4 right now.im only taking this for GE cuz im not an art person. basically ur grade is based on 4 papers: 2 from a museum vists (EASY As) & 2 midterm (requires effort!) do ur work and u can def. get atleast a B :)

This professor is so intelligent that he anticipates those misfortunes that befall every student.

Professor Bishopp loves his job and it shows. I thoroughly enjoyed his class and I was sorry to see it end. If you do the four papers required and attend class you should get a decent grade. His lectures were very entertaining.

Bishopp is pretty intelligent. You have to listen and take notes..the exams are pretty much from the lectures. This class is about way more than just art.

Alright kiddies-you want to take this class. Seems more like a philosophy class. Don't bother getting the book-essays based on lecture notes. His thing is sttendance because he's only missed 2-3 days of class as a student. Hilarious-fun lecture. Easy grader-impossible to not get an A

Best teacher ever!! Will make you think about life. Really inspiring and eye opening. No need to buy the book, plus its an easy A.

this guy is the man! he does stand up comedy for the 20-30 minutes he keeps you in class then lets you go. funny, cool, the best. only 3-4 papers that are short and easy. class was actually fun and intertaining becasue he is insainly funny

This class is pretty general. Bishopp is funny and really smart. The assignments are pretty easy to do.

The best art course you'll ever take, maybe even the best class you'll ever take. Interesting combination of art, history, science, philosophy, psychology, and world cultures. A fascinating journey. You will learn about art like you have never learned about it before. Don't miss this one!

Totally liberal in his methodologies and very insightful. Introduces an "out of the box" way of thinking. Openly shares his views, but doesn't pressure you to identify with them. Encourages you to uncover your own beliefs. And a funny, funny guy. Above and beyond a great art class!

Honor classes very very tough. but you will learn a lot . I have paid lot of effort in this class , however i have achieve a C.

Seriously easy professor, all you need to for an A is show up to all lectures and take good notes. There is no need for the text. This professor is for the mature and open minded only as the class is not entirely about art, Art 4 deal with the sociology behind it, and Art 20 deals with humanaties.

This man is one of the best teachers I have had in College. He is incredibly intelligent and funny. Assignments are totally fair. He's cute, too.

This guy is the funniest teacher ever. So he says some stuff that might piss some people off but hey its still funny and sometimes true. Super smart guy you will never be bored in his class.

He's the coolest dude ever. A HIPPIE. I love his style. He an ****, and thats cool. I feel the same. I dont like stupid people either.

A very nice and helpful professor (though it is true, he does have a very foul mouth). His class is really easy (a little too easy, if you ask me). If you can write at all and you pay attention in class, you'll get an A.

He is an incredible teacher, the lectures tend to veer off the original subject, but it makes the information more memorable. He is truly the reason i found my major, and he should be recognized more for his views in society, life, and politics. and be careful what you say on here, he definetly checks it, he talks about it enough!

I have no clue what 'the class will be in a whip' means: But he can be sarcastic and grumpy. However, you'll still enjoy his lectures and grades pretty easy.

Bishopp puts philosophy and psychology together to explain art. He has a pretty good snse of humor.

I took Art 4 and Art 20 and both classes were very interesting. Lectures are very interesting. Great teacher. If you can write a decent essay you will get no lower than a B in this class. I'm not quite sure how I got 2 A's, but it happens. Great teacher highly recommend.

Great Teacher...

AWESOME teacher! I wish he could teach all of the classes I need. He lets you out of class early every single day and he is hilarious. His stories are weird but funny as hell. Definitely take him for your Art requirements/prerequisites.

Not hot but extremely funny!!! his lectures are hard to follow because he is very philosophical and he goes off on many tangents, but he is super easy because he doesnt have written out lectures that he follows, he kind of "wings it." even thou its a twice a week class, we only meet once a week on average. and we always get out early!!! love him.

I agree with the others - super easy prof. - just laugh at his jokes and show up. Class is often cancelled or cut short and it's easy to do extra credit if you have problems with the other work.

tHIS Dude knows his stuff. ONLY a few exams and a trip to a muesuen and that it. Most of the learning stuff comes from the lectures. Best thing is getting to talk with the dued after class about everythingHE just knows about everything.. Take him.

Super easy A. And he's always gone to a meeting or a conference so many classes are either canceled or let out early.

Easiest class on campus. He doesn't mind if you miss class and gives you easy extra credit to make it up - a museum visit or book report.

He's interesting to listen too, and he's off beat. You probably won't learn a lot in his class, but do the papers just like he asks, and you'll be fine. I recommend that you take his class at the end of your day. He cancels class a lot, and some times will let you out 30 minutes early, if not 45 minutes.

Hes calm, easy going... can be humoruos, and overall a kool guy, really.

This guy is hilarious!! I never got the book, and we never used it. Wasn't really interested in art but he made it really fun and his humor made class great! i would definately take one of his classes again. Easy grade, you learn much about art, and cool museum trip. Take this review as a calling to take his class, you'll thank me later =)

Prof. Greg ROCKS!!! He is a crack up, especially if u get the lil inside jokes! He is passionate about life, hes a deep thinker with alot 2 say. Intelligent man... laid back w/ 1 museum assig;1 easy midterm,and a take home final!! U get out of class early 2!Good 2 take when u have overloads of high prep work for ur major! TAKE HIM, Hes THE MAN! : )

seriously, this guy is the funniest professor I have ever had. He will make fun of you in front of everyone but as long as you have a sense of humor about it it's fine. He does let you out early but as he says "that is so high school". Take this guy for a fun class even if it's not part of your major prep it's interesting and pretty easy.

This is my second course with this professor. This guy is great! You will learn about art, but you pick up so many other things in this class that you can use in everyday life. I definately reccommend this course to anyone. Oh yea, and its pretty easy.

Easiest class of my life! Just take some time on the mid-term and final(both essays) and you're set.

He is a GREAT and EASILY UNDESTANDABLE proffessor. However if you are LAZY and NOT ATTENDING you are in trouble.We didn't use the book at all (but a GOOD idea to buy it and READ IT).There were one midterm which is all essay and 2 BIG ESSAYS prior to final.If you are GOOD at writing AND NOT LAZY, it is an easy A. But NEED to work HARD.Take him NOW!!

Such a funny teacher and sooo easy. But you have to come to class because he docs a letter grade after the 3rd absence. Lectures are interesting but tend to get boring if you sit in the back, I recommend sitting up close! Just take the time on the take home final/midterm and papers and an A is easily obtainable.

What I can say about this guy is that he opened my mind to all kinds of ways at looking at the world. Is a fair grader and attend class if you wish to obtain a desirable grade. If art is not your thing, take his classes anyways, it relates to the world and critical thinking more than art I would have to say.

you can come into class, sign in, and sleep while he has the lights down and the presentation going. just do well on his gallery report, midterm, and final, and u'll be set for an A

I really liked this teacher. He was very interesting and all you have to do is go to the discussions and you should pass easily.

He says, you are young adults/in college so you make the decision to come to class or not. AfTER that he says if you miss 3 class periods, he'll down-grade your current grade by a letter. I recommend this professor, know what his talking about. (Former Professor at UC Campus, UCSB i think it was)

Bishopp is one of the most chill professors at IVC. As long as you attend most of his lectures, you're pretty much guaranteed an A. I would definitely recommend him to fulfill the art requirement.

I am an international student and this college would be my nd degree. This Prof. is wonderful,clear in his lectures and interesting. I would have to say that american students are very irresponsible, and yes! There is no need to be told by the prof. that attendance is mandatory! Student is student when he/ she attend class!Mandatory yes!

Superb instructor, his awesome, clear, and once again superb. He has interesting lectures, stories and etc. to present to the class. There is no hw in this class, all you do is write like 8 essays and turn it in for your blah, midterm, and final. O and get to class on time, Bishopp get really fummed if your late to his class

Mr. Bishopp or Greg as he would like to be called this semester is one of the more interesting and fun classes i have taken at ivc. easy A if you dont have to be a jackass in front of the class to be cool. he hates people who come in late go to sleep or make noise. i got an A and me going to class and taking notes got my slackerfriends an A too

Greg Bishop is the best professor at IVC. He is very knowledgeable because he taught big lecture halls at UCSB. There is no HW but make sure you go to class and are on time. He is really funny and makes the class more interesting then just theory and boring stuff. He tells stories the whole semester and is a great guy. TAKE HIM TRUST ME!!
