He is a wonderful math teacher! I finally can understand algebra after all these years! Prepares intermediate algebra students for college algebra. Is willing to make time to work with students if they don't understand.

He is the best teacher I've ever had, and his tests are very EASY!!!!

He is a great teacher. If you are there to learn he wants to teach you, if you are there to sleep he does not want you interrupting his class. I am not great in math and I made an A in his class. He lets you use note cards on tests, does not make you remember formulas, and gives take home quizzes .. he's great!!

I swear calculus makes more sense now than Algebra ever did! He is a good teacher, a little crazy about people coming in late, but he teaches this stuff and makes it understandable. he doesnt assume you know (or remember everything) from previous math classes..thats what i liked most! and he looks like charlie sheen...hehe good teacher!

Mr. Bloxom is a good teacher and explains math in understandable terms. He does not tolerate tardiness or talking in class. He makes sure everyone understands the work before moving on, even if it means the test material has to be altered. But, if you are someone who needs to ask a lot of questions, he'll usually make you feel like a 2 yr old.

Mr. Bloxom does not f@#% around! He utilizes time well. He is clear and knowledgable.

Ive always been awful at math and i did great in his class. he gives great examples, prepares you for the test, and all homework is online so its super easy! I HATE math but would recommend Bloxom to anyone! He hates people who come in late or leave early and never let us out early but it wasnt too bad

Had him for both Intermediate and College Algebra, and he made it much easier to get through. He doesn't like people to be late, but I don't blame him, it is distracting to everyone. If you can't be on time for class than it's time to grow up! So if you can be on time, take him!

After a horrible experience with a different instructor for College Algebra, I went into stats completely scared. At first he seemed insane because his rules are STRICT. Within a short time, I began to REALLY enjoy not only the class but also the subject matter! I tell everyone I meet to take his classes! The BEST math teacher on campus BY FAR!

Mr. Bloxom should win the BEST TEACHER AWARD from PJC. He is clear, concise, and to the point. He is an extremely effective communicator which makes him an undeniably remarkable instructor. Before I took Bloxom's in College Algebra, I hated any and every form of Math with a passion. Before midterm was reached, I'd fallen head over heels in love with the subject. Mr. Bloxom was able to take something I loathed and show me the beauty within and the value of it.

I thought he did a GREAT job teaching. Tests are easy as long as u go over your worksheets before a test and just do the homework 4 practice. He even makes u laugh in class a few times! He is very particular, pay attention and Algebra will be easy! TAKE HIS CLASS!

Bloxom is IMO one of the best math instructors at PJC. His lectures are straight forward and to the point. His handouts make it easier for students to focus on particular areas in which he will address on his exams. He is willing to work with you if you have a scheduling conflict, his reviews before the test are very beneficial.

BEST math teacher I have ever taken! I suck at math, yet his class is fun and you actually learn the material WELL.Very little homework, and tests are easy. If you want to be very picky, his hyper style *could* be annoying, and he comes across as a bit conceited at times... but srsly. Very friendly guy- take him! You will find yourself liking math!

Bloxom is an awesome teacher. He explains his material very well,and offers all the help one needs in order to not only pass his class, but make an A as well. However, he is very picky when it comes to tardies and absences.Its obvious he doesnt know the tardy policy, because if he did he wouldnt "kick" students out for just "coming in late 1x"

Bloxom is an excellent teacher. This class will guarantee you an A, however it won't be easy--you have to earn your A. Just pay attention, take notes, attend test review days and you will get at least an 85 on each test. He is very helpful and encourages students to stay after class is help is needed. Also, just note: DON'T BE LATE!

He does know what he is talkin about but he is very fast pace. I didnt feel comfortable in his class at all. You can never ask a question bc he will give you a stupid look no matter what it is you ask. I probalby wouldnt take him again.

Took Bloxom for both College Algebra and Business Calc. He's one of the best math teachers PJC has. And I've seen quite a few. Don't be late (this is college and you do pay $$ to come to class; why would you want to miss class?) His assignments are easy, and he gives reviews for all of the tests. Excellent, and highly recommended!

Bloxom is by far the best math teacher i've ever had. he explains everything clearly and is helpful with any questions, encouraging you to email him anytime. i have never been good in math, but got an A in his class- not because he is extremely easy but because he gives you a very good understanding of math!

Usually I don't get A in Mathematics, but I took him for intermediate algebra in summer and i got A in his class. Right now I took his class for college algebra and i am doing so well in his clss. I looking forward to take him for Business Calculus and Elementary Statistics. Mr. Bloxom is the best teacher at PJC.

He is a great teacher. He doesn't grade on wether you got the answer right or not but if understand the work. He rarely uses the textbook. If take down all the notes and study the review before the test you should do great.

If you don't understand math, take Mr. Bloxom. Just understand that he can be a rude at times and does not appreciate lateness. Don't buy the book for his class, he always has a handout you can print off his website, which he teaches off of.

Only qualm is that he gets very annoyed if you get up to use the restroom, whereas most college teachers I've had haven't had a problem with it. We're not in elementary school anymore. Over all hes a great teacher! He shows the easiest way to do everything and explains it so that its not confusing. Very easy to follow, but you better not be late to class or he will yell at you in front of the whole class! But i would definitely recommend him..just don't do anything stupid and stay on his good side!

Great Instructor! Doesn't tolerate lateness. Never had a problem with asking questions, he was always ready to go over something again but expects YOUR participation in the process. Stats book was useless but I had him for College Algebra too and doing the suggested homework from the book got me my A. Behave like an adult and you'll be FINE.

I <3 Mr. Bloxom!! I had him for stats over the summer and made a B+ and refused to take anyone else for College Algebra (it wasn't my first time taking it)and he is the reason i FINALLY passed! I was uber bummed when i found out he wasn't teaching Business Calc next semester!!

Great teacher, makes the subject easy to understand. Expects students to act like adults. Took the hybrid course and personally prefer traditional class but Mr. Bloxom made it as clear as possible. Definitely recommend him. Punctuality is important so don't be late.

Very helpful, answers questions/emails very fast. Online class, you make your own pace. Exams are straight from homework so make sure you understand before taking as they are timed. Final has to be taken on campus so study previous tests.

Great teacher. Don't take his class if you plan to goof-off in class. He definately respects students who want to learn and he keeps the environment free of distractions. Tests are just like the classroom worksheets so understand them and you'll do fine. I chose him for calculus on-line, too. He brings humor into what he teaches.

Great teacher though i highly recommend you take him in person and not online...his online statistics class was rough but i survived. Good guy though and he really breaks it down so you can understand things.

Don't be late, turn cell phones off, harsh exterior but he picks up on those that actually want to take the class serious. I am glad that he was so strict b/c it made me make an effort to pass the class. I would love to have him again for my my future math classes. I took this hybrid Stats class and it was great! Mr. Bloxom is one of the best math professors at PJC; I've had him for several math classes. He knows his material and wants his students to understand it as well. If you have a question, shoot him an e-mail or set up an appointment to meet at his office. He will go the extra mile, but he hates tardiness!

Mr. Bloxom is a great teacher; but his class is not a walk in the park. You will have to put forth the effort to learn, and he will help you along the way. This is the BEST math teacher I have ever had in my life! I have always struggled with math. This man makes understanding algebra really easy, I did very well in his class. His door was always open when I didn't understand a problem. I plan to take another one of his classes next year.

I love his teaching. He makes funny jokes though is a bit sarcastic but I loved it. Everything was clear and he showed each problem step by step. Don't be afraid to ask questions just because he might embarrass you, it just means he wish you won't waste class time on what you might find on your own in the text book. His test are easy so just study.

Nice guy, but being late will piss him off, in which he will call you out for in the middle of the class. i'm not really good at math, but he was very helpful when i went to ask him questions. he can be pretty funny and entertaining even though some are kind of corny. still all over a great guy

Took the online course. The entire course was available to complete as quickly as I wanted and he replied immediately to any questions or problems I had. Understanding and constantly sending e-mails about being able to help. Gives PLENTY of time for tests.If you do poorly in his class, it's probably because you are stupid or won't ask for help.

I have taken him for College Algrebra, Bus Calculus, and Stats. He is AWESOME! Although he doesn't like students coming in late b/c it disrupts the class. I agree w/this policy! My grade has improved w/each class I've taken of his. EXCELLENT teaching methods. He is NOT aggrogant, just depands adult respect. Only locks door frequent late comers.

I had Bloxom for College Algebra, and he is by far the BEST math teacher I've ever had. He engages the class by "pretending" he doesn't know a square root, ect., and having the class shout the answers. Although MyMathLab is very time consuming, he offered us the opportunity to go back through and finish our incomplete sections. AWESOME TEACHER!!!!

I loved Mr. Bloxom. He was very easy to understand and his tests were pretty much from the work we did in class. He does not like cell phones out in class or people to be tardy. If you failed Mr. Bloxom's class, it's probably because you didn't use all the resourses available to you. Mr. B makes it very clear thru the semester if you need help,see him or email him. He goes above and beyond. There is a lot of material to cover in little time, so class goes fast. No need to buy the book,it's online with mathlab. Good teacher

Took him for intermediate and college algebra made an A in both. Kinda snippy if you ask questions in class but just wait and email him then he is happy to help. Why waist class time anyway? If it is an important question he will email it to everyone! I took the hybrid course both times and loved it! I would recommend him to anyone.

The important thing is the keep up with homework and ask questions. Don't ask in class because he doesn't seem to like that. He is great at responding through email. He can be rough around the edges but is really a great teacher.

He's straight to the point, helpful, you can always find him if you need him, he makes the ALGEBRA so easy I don't know how he does that, but i think he's one of the best MATH instructor in Pensacola STATE

Mr.Bloxom is a great teacher. He is short tempered if you act like an idiot and blurt out why you don't need to know that math. If you want a straight forward to the point class (which is what you want for math) take Mr.Bloxom. But, be mindful to walk into his class as an adult.

Overall he is a good teacher; My Math Lab is excessive and very long but helps. His ONLY DOWNFALL is his temper, he goes off on people a lot when he gets upset or they correct him (which is a lot), but I did really like him though.

I had his algebra Hybrid class and attendance was not necessary. All work was online in MathXL which is very time consumming but you can do the homework untill you get 100% and 2 attempts on each test which really helps because I barely passed the final. Spent alot of time in mathlab but I passed the class! I do recommend Bloxom!

I am an adult returning to college and have been dissapointed in most professors I have had. Bloxom is a welcome change. He is not only very knowledgeable but is very good at teaching the material. Many professors know the subject but cant teach it. He is a no nonsense guy who keeps order in class so that those who want to learn can.

Often adjusted online homework dates allowing more time, and allowed retakes of exams (just print 1st exam attempt w/answers and study that for retakes). Use his videos before using MyMathLabs. His are much more clear. Very quick to respond and very nice. I had him for Stats and College Algebra. I do not recommend taking two math classes in one semester though. They take about six to nine hours a week to study in MyMathLab.

Let me just start off by saying that Mr. Bloxom is by far the best teacher I've ever had! I started from the bottom of the math classes and worked my way up to College Algebra with a C average. I finished College Algebra with a B+! Mr. B makes it very easy to understand the concepts and he takes the extra steps to help! Highly recommended!

I have had great Educators and poor Educators throughout my college time. I must say Bloxom is at the top of the great Educators. His passion and dedication to students is unmatched. He gives a lot of his own time to help students succeed. And because he does give a lot, he expects a lot. It is not hard to follow very simple rules.

Do not take this class if you are often late. He does not tolerate it. Not very many assignments so you have to do well on the tests.

He is an extremely passionate professor. He is there for his students, any time you need help he is there for you, he even helped me cram 10 min before his exam. You can email him at anytime and he will usually respond rather fast, whether that be during office hours or on the weekend at midnight. Just what ever you do don't interrupt his class!

He was very clear and is very strict on being on time, and attending class but if you miss one class, you would probably be a little lost next class. He always gives extra credit too!

Overall he is a good teacher. He explains everything very clearly. I found that it was more helpful to ask questions in MML. He isn't happy if you're late, texting, or walk in front of the classroom. He does give out extra credit and he is very organized which was great for a 6 week crash course.

The class is very straight forward and he does not hound you. There are due dates for testshomework and if you get them turned in your good. If you do your all your work you can still pass even if you bomb the midterm and final which I thought was good because of personal family problems I have going on causing me to lose major study time! He has 3 tests in College Algebra, they are somewhat easy, mostly hard. Coolest guy though, laid back but lets you know what he expects, helps and explains a lot. HW is online which is nice, we never used the text book. Hopefully he is my statistics teacher! Definitely recommended for people not strong in math.

I was nervous about this class especially taking it online (this was not my 1st attempt). All you have to do is log on mymathlab and do the homework and you will get an A in the class. It is alot of homework but it mirrors the test completely. Very fair. The videos show you everything you need to know! Everyone can pass. No textbook just mymathlab

Prof. Bloxom doesn't just throw theories and laws at you and make you study a textbook. He starts the class off with any questions E-Mailed to him and goes over them until nobody is left with questions. Then he shows you the next sections material, what it's about, and runs through examples on how to work any and all situations. Grade A Professor.

Absolutely astounding teacher. I have never been taught math so clearly and concisely. Very good for people who aren't math inclined. College Algebra over and over, then took him and made an A. I credit it 100% to his engaging teaching style.

I took Bloxom for Trig! I'm terrible at math took college algebra twice, but with Bloxon he is so straight to the point and clear cut! He won't confuse you at all! I had Mr. Bloxom for STA 2023 online. His videos and PowerPoints made learning stats possible. Anyone who does all homework, not just 70% needed in order to take your test, and puts great effort into the chapter quizzes can earn a B or better in the class. He responds to e-mails in a timely manner.

Took Mr. Bloxom for Stats and he is a really funny guy. Summer classes are hard and he made it fun and he's a natural comedian. He works with a lot of calculator function which is the best thing ever for statistics. Uses MyStatlab and give occasional extra credit. Very fair, he even had a conversation with me over the phone when I was struggling.

I took him for trig in the summer. He takes his time going over everything. Is known to make mistakes on tests but catches it as he is grading and give appropriate credit. Homework was all through Mymathlab, so no book needed. Will round grade up if you participate regularly in class. One take home test. Lightning fast responses to emails. 20/10!

Mr. Bloxom was a dependable teacher; there for us when we had questions or needed help. This was an online class, so I don't have feedback about classroom setting. I really enjoyed the class, worked hard, and felt like I learned a lot; critical knowledge I'm going to need to help me earn my MBA in the future.

I'm not particularly fond of math but I took College Algebra online with Bloxom and loved it. He lets you know when everything is due from the start of class. On eLearning he uploads videos of him solving problems and his PowerPoints. He also allows students to work as fast as they want and if you have any questions he will help you out.

Bloxom lectures to understand. At the beginning of the semester he gives a lesson plan of what assignments he gives and will only test you on what he goes over. He does not require a book or homework but it is necessary to get your textbook and do the at home practice that he assigns at the beginning of the semester.

Mr. Bloxom is a professor that will not bore you to sleep. He is very outgoing, spunky, and easy to talk to. He will not move on to the next section until everyone understands what was taught. Mr. Bloxom isn't bad but he is VERY sarcastic, classmates often feel they can't ask questions due to his sarcasm. He will not move on until all classmates understand. He does not require homework and only grades 4 tests and a final. I highly suggest doing homework out of the book for your own practice .Oh and don't get caught with your cell phone!

Professor Bluxom gave me a new joy of math. He is the kind of professor that gives you all the tools you need to succeed but doesn't hold you accountable for learning, he leaves it to self accountability, which for me was perfect, plenty of extra credit. He has a massive source library online that details any kind of problem and how to solve them.

Mr. Bloxom makes a somewhat dry subject rather colorful; the subtle jokes he makes during lectures will keep you engaged. I have honestly fallen back in love with math because of how he presents the topic to his students. I have not taken math in 8 years, but he will show you the little steps I forgot, such as completing the square.

I was a returning student this year after six years absence and an F on my first attempt at college algebra. I was attentive in class, never did any of the SUGGESTED homework, final grade 98.1%.

Not a tyrant. Not a fan of people being late or disruptive in class. If you put effort into class and actually try then he will be gentle on your grading. Seems like he is genuinely a good person and he enjoys math and what he does. Truly the best math class I've ever taken.

Gives extra credit. He does get frustrated/annoyed if people ask questions even though he begs everyone to ask him questions. Fair grader really gives you the benefit of the doubt. Mr. Ward is a very hands on teacher and very easy to get in contact with outside the classroom. This is a class that you will learn HR Administration and learn the inside of management. The simulation in the class is very informative and the best part of the class.

He's a really good teacher and he is super accessible outside of class and emails often. I hate math and I don't even know why I took this class. Lots of extra credit opportunities. I got a 42.5 on one of my tests and after doing a few extra credit assignments I brought the test grade up to a 60. Good professor and i'd take him for math again.

Mr. Bloxom was kind and offered a TON of help through the course. He would make videos showing you how to do problems and get them back quickly. He was not rude at all (some other raters felt he was). He DEMANDS participation and attendance, so if you do those he is on your side. He also related every new topic to real-life situations.

DO THE HOMEWORK. You have unlimited time and attempts on it. The tests are 20 questions and you get 2 attempts except on the midterm and final. For the summer semester he gave 6 tests in total. All of the tests are carbon copies of the homework. He has a ton of videos working through some of the homework problems. Mostly teaches from the whiteboard

Dr. Bloxom is one of my favorite professors that I have had! One review says he doesnt like duel enrollment students which is not true! I have asked him questions about higher classes and he thinks it is great to be so young in a higher class!! I love his teaching methods and I am signed up to take another math with him next semester.

I was struggling with this class because I am not good with math, I failed the final exam which pushed me below a 70, when I reached out to try to get help to raise my score back up he went through my exams and gave me partial credit where he could which pushed be above passing. I am grateful for it.

Professor Bloxom was very fair. I am also a dual enrollment student who never saw any bias against us. He does expect you to show up on time and be prepared. He's accessible outside of class if needed, but most work is done online. Because of that there are no partial points for most of your work being right. I would take him again.

The class was amazing. I had him at 9 am and he managed to make me enjoy the mornings. All he does in class is lectures and he's very funny and high-energy while doing them. Homework and tests, including the midterm and final, are through ConnectMath online and not taken in class. He gives you 2 tries on each test except for the midterm and final.

I've had Bloxom for multiple courses now. He is phenomenal at teaching and ensuring students understand the material. He truly goes out of his way to ensure his students are successful and is always available for assistance if you struggle with homework assignments. I would 10/10 recommend him to anyone who needs to take math courses.

Greg Bloxom has been my favorite teacher in my entirety of schooling. His lectures bring clear methods to otherwise confusing textbook concepts, and also provides a lot of additional help to students who need extra practice. Overall, he is a fantastic teacher with a love for math, and it shows through his teaching.

Mr. Bloxom is a great instructor! He makes it very easy to understand the course material, makes sure he answers all questions and explains in detail, and he is accessible outside of class and even on break. He made it much easier for me to understand the course and pass the course after returning to school after ten years of being out!

Mr. Bloxom is easily one of my favorite math teachers, he almost made me bust out laughing mid class because one of his jokes caught me off guard. There are extra credit opportunities which are usually presented during the review days so make sure to be present. Definitely show your work as he gives partial credit considering what you did correct.

Professor Bloxom is an excellent teacher. Math for me is not easy, but he makes the discussion very clear and easy to understand. Homework is heavy, but just like he said, this will be our practice to remember how to solve Math problems. He offers extra credit on both quizzes and long exams. I will surely retake his class if given a chance.

I see a ton of people saying attendance mandatory, but that honestly wasn't my experience with him. He explained everything so clearly even in his videos on Canvas that when I missed class, I didn't have to worry about falling behind. He's tough on his no extensions policy, but he allows plenty of time to finish all assignments.
