Mr. Burlile is a good instructor that wants his students to pass this class. If you come to class and do your home work you will pass. STUDY HIS TEST REVIEWS and you will do well on his test! Class was fun and productive every time. Class points are spread out to pass: 3 tests, 7 quizes, 3 homework assignments and the final.

A difficult course if one does not do hw or attend class, even though neither is a requirement. Mr. Burlile is very helpful and understanding. I recommend him as an instructor.

Difficult class, but Professor Burlile made every effort to stay after class and help when needed. Quizzes were take-home, open-book and normal. Definitely study the test reviews and you will do well. It helps to come to class and do the homework even though it's not required. I recommend Mr. Burilie.

Second time taking this class and he took the time to make sure you understood things before moving on. Made himself available before and after class, let you check answers in the book so you knew you were on track with the homework and gave great study sheets. You can tell he enjoys math, and teaching it. Will look for him in the future.

This site lead me to a great professor once again! I really enjoyed this class. Math can be an intimidating subject, but Greg was very helpful at breaking down the complex concepts. The quizzes were take home which was an added bonus. Take 148 with this professor, you won't regret it!

He's absolutly great. I love how he treats his students and how he grades. If you want to pass, take his class. I hate math, but I love it when I take it with a good professor like him.

Mr. Burlile is a great teacher. He explains things very well and makes sure everybody understands before he moves on. He wants his students to do well and is there to help. To me Math is about preparation.Professor Burlile certainly did an excellent job of doing just that.To me it is a student's responsibility to do the work and ask the questions when they do not understand.Gregg was willing to meet before class,after class or via video conferencing to help anyone in need.He was certainly instrumental to my success.

I thought he was a great teacher...he really wanted all of his students to pass...he was open to questions....he was positive....just do the suggested problems on your syllabus n study your butt off because the material is hard....overall i thought he was a great teacher and I definately recommend taking this class with Greg Burlile.

He is by far the best math teacher I have had. He is very clear and very helpful. Any questions you need answered, he can help you. If you have a hard time with math, he is definitely a good teacher to have. If you are good at math, then he's still great. Quizzes and tests were not hard. Used online math lab.

Well rounded instructor - very clear/offers multiple explanations/methods - asks students if everyone understands before moving on, just speak up if you don't. If he would rely less on MyMathLab for homework (say, 1/2 written, 1/2 math lab) along with harder qzs, he could better prepare you.

Utilizes technology.Is down 2earth & easy 2 understand.He encourages his students & gives them confidence.Will provide you with the homework that will prepare you for his quizzes and tests.My only complaint 4 the course is that he didn't write the final(he couldn't give us the correct problems to prepare), but that was not his fault.100% recommend!

I have had Mr. Burlile twice. For 1148 and 1149. Would absolutely recommend him and I do…all the time!! Who ever said he does not answer your question's lied. He answer's them and answer's them well. No matter how trivial. If you don't know how or why he got an answer just ask. He lets you come to his other classes as well. Great Professor!!

He knows what he's talking about, will go out of his way to help, re-explain concepts and do extra examples if asked. Offers pre-test review sessions, but come with questions or they wont be much help. Overall, recommend.

An absolutely fantastic teacher. He makes class fun and is very understanding. I had a surgery, a death in the family, then another surgery and he was very understanding since other teachers basically said I was screwed. Which is very important to me. Quick replies to emails and is always there to help. Highly recommend!

Based on the recommendation of rate my professor, I selected Mr. Burlile as the instructor for my Math 1148 course. I highly recommend him for any student who might be repeating this course (like myself twice before) after struggling to get through in previous attempts. The class is well paced, quizzes are open note and testing is straight forward.

Mr. Greg B. is awesome teacher. Took both his 1075 and 1148 class and both A's. He's a very nice gentleman with his students at heart. He answer questions clearly. He has everything available for his students to pass(open notes quizzes, cant beat that) I'll recommend him to everyone.

Greg was a great professor! Very good at teaching each section. And always willing to answer questions . There are 4 tests and open note quizzes. Also, you have to do MML. But it was good having extra point opportunities. I recommend him and would take again. Hes very understandable and wants you to succeed!

best math professor I've had. Burlile is very clear in his lectures and is willing to help any student who asks. Every quiz is open notes. Tests are on materials covered. Online homework counts but it helps you understand the content and raises your grade if you do it. Worst quiz grade is dropped and 4 worst homework grades are dropped

Greg is an amazing professor. I took two of his classes (math 1148 and math 1149) and he is very consistent. His grading criteria is clear, he does not explain things way over students heads like other over educated professors. He dumbs it down if need be. Excellent lecturer and eager to help his students. Would take a class with him anyday.

Brilliant Professor and coming from another country it took some time for me to get used to the education system at the U.S, but Mr. Burlile provided some great assistance and hopefully I could take calculus with him in the Fall.

Awesome. Very clear during lectures, homework isn't too hard or too much. Provides test reviews, posts his lecture notes online, did a few take home quizzes, I definitely learned the material in this class. However, I will say the final was difficult but I would've done better if I had study a little more. but I would definitel retake his class.

Does a lot for students such as answering all questions, giving links for extra help online, willing to do more.

I took 1148 and 1149 Math with Greg, hes a good teacher more than helpful. the material is rough and some tricky test other than that his quizzes is open book open notes. and he posts his notes online which was very helpful.

Burlile is a professor I've had a couple of times. Would take any class with him. He's clear, ready to answer questions and a respectable man.

Greg is just an awesome teacher, I had a previous teacher for this class and had to switch section because I wasnt able to understand the other teacher. Hes patient and also makes you feel like hes your friend and teacher at the same time. Hes quick in replying. hes also willing to take questions before and after class.

Greg, is the best math instructor that I have every had at Columbus State or OSU. I took this class at OSU and the instructor that I had there did not teach me that well and did not care about his students. There were 160 students and at the end less then 60 were left. This was Greg first time teaching this class (1151) and he was good.

My third time in this class and Burlile is the reason I succeeded. Fantastic professor, went over tests with me right after I turned them in if I had questions. Definitely take his classes if you suck at math.

Mr. Burlile presents the material in a clear and definitive manner and is attentive to student's needs and any trouble(s) that they may encounter throughout the semester. He is also an overall nice person and a fair grader, but you will have to work hard at learning the material if you want to do well in his class.

He presents the information in a simple format, the only thing is that we flew through lessons which would make me forget topics for the test. So i recommend study constantly so you don't forget. Our homework was online and it would take me hours to complete however I would learn even more so it wasn't a complete waste. Bit hard but still recommend

He is the best. I took two classes with him 1149 and 1148. Very organized. He posts his class notes on blackboard, so you don't miss anything if you do not participate. He gives take home and open notes quizzes. Also, he gives a review sheet for exams. I like the way he is teaching. He is ready to answer any question.

I recommend Greg Burlile if you are a non-mathematics major. He explains the content in detail, and likes to answer questions. From my experience, you do have to use MyMathLab, so don't take this class if you don't want to deal with MML. Lastly, you do have to work for your grade, but its worth it if you put in the time to study.

Greg was an AWESOME calculus professor. I loved his humor and accessibility. He explained things well and made sure to answer all questions and give great feedback until the concept was well grasped by all. I took advantage of his office hours outside class and he was extensively helpful always. A teacher who truly cares. Ill miss you Greg!

I've really enjoyed this class with him. He's kind, engaging, and motivating. You do have to do some work, but I wouldn't say it's excessive. Not an easy A, but he gives you all of the material you need to succeed. 6 quizzes @ 15%, one dropped, 3 exams @ 15%, 1 final @ 25%. Homework @ 15%, lowest 4 dropped. No extra creds so far. Partial credit.

Professor Burlile was one of my best math professors Ive had. This semester he was very lenient towards quizzes. 3 quizzes were take home and 1 was skipped completely. He provides you with notes that you could take in class and will be helpful if you ask him questions

Professor Burlile has been an amazing instructor. He's very understanding and compassionate. He's excellent at explaining and his expectations are clear. If the class is struggling with a problem, he stops and explains how it's done in steps.

Professor Burlile is a great teacher, even if its a 3h class but you wont feel it !!! He knows how to set up lectures, I wish if I could take him for trigonometry but unfortunately he wont do the class this coming spring semester!!! I strongly recommend him for any maths class

Mr. Burlile is THE BEST! Easy-going, nice, funny. He is a great person! The math itself is tough, you have to do lots of assignments, but that's just the nature of the subject. He tried to make it as easy for us as possible. His exams are fairly easy: if you complete all the homework - you won't face any surprises on the exam. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I previously failed this course and I will say Prof Burlile made the difference this semester( F to an A in 2 semesters). If you struggle with math, this is the professor to take. He's extremely knowledgeable and able to explain things multiple ways until you understand. If I wasn't graduating he would be the prof I tried to get for my next class!

This professor is hands down the best Ive ever taken at Columbus state. I failed this class last semester and now graduating with an A. Thats a pure testament to how good of a prof he is. If i had to take another math course, it would hands down be with Professor Burlile!

Greg was amazing! I had him for College Algebra Plus. The class is already kind of difficult but he really made it easier to understand and is super approachable. Due to COVID-19, we had to switch to an online format. He set up zoom class meeting for us during our usual class time when he didn't have to. I HIGHLY recommend him.

THE WORK WAS VERY MANAGEABLE AS LONG AS YOU DON'T MIND LITTLE WORKSHEETS AND BUSY WORK. THERE WERE WORKSHEETS FOR EACH DAY OF THE WEEK YOU HAD CLASS AND ALSO THERE WERE LOTS OF ALEKS ASSIGNMENTS AND GUIDED NOTES AS WELL AS VIDEOS TO WATCH. The work isn't hard, just a lot of it.

All I can say is wow. This teacher is one of the best teachers I have ever had. He grades fairly and always wants the best for all his student. He really gave me a new perspective on math and is one of the first math classes I took and fully understood the material. I have a lot of respect for this teacher.

I am an older student and had not had a math class in years but needed this class to get my degree. Perfect storm of issues; took online (ugh!) and over summer semester, firs, t quiz scored 13% I emailed Prof. Burille that I was going to quit. He talked me out of it, 1 on 1 3x a week on Collaborate, I put in a lot of time, got an A, great teacher!!

Greg Burlile is a great math teacher. I took him for Math 1146 or college algebra plus and from the beginning of the semester he was clear on how to get a good grade in the class. He provided a weekly calander which had assignments due each day, and Aleks homework every week. There is a lot of homework but it is manageable. 10/10 would recommend

Highly recommended! Satisfied with how he teaches the class. Not that tough grader. He will drop the lowest quiz and homework, so don't be too worried about that.

Burlile was an effective and fair teacher, clear in his delivery of the material and straightforward with his expectations. The class was in a "live on-line" format, and he spent our time together on zoom tailoring the meetings to the units of study, upcoming quizzes and tests, and specific questions students had. I would definitely recommend him.

Professor Burlile was hands down the best professor. He was very helpful and answered any questions you may have. There is homework almost every night but it will help you on tests/quizzes. I highly suggest going to class to get extra practice. Even if you arent good at math, professor Burlile will help you until you understand. Highly recommend!

Professor Burlile was amazing! He truly cares about his students learning and he goes slow to help any student understand the material. I had him in class and it was not that hard if you show up and do the work in class.

Professor Burlile is probably the only math teacher that somehow made me love math. He is very patient and detailed in his delivery in class, and he always explains the problems step-by-step ("spoon-feeding") without fail. In addition, his exams are very reasonable in addition to the review sheet or sample questions he provided for you to STUDY.

Really good! He's a very nice guy, and super willing to help or re explain if you didn't understand. The way the class is set up (reviews before test, going through the material three times) is very effective at getting you to learn the material. Just make sure you show up!

I am very impressed. Being someone who struggles significantly in math, I managed to Pass this class! this is my second time taking this course, but with a different professor. I am glad I chose Mr. Burlile. He is a lenient grader, and gives partial credit on both tests and quizzes as long as you show your work

Great professor, explains very well. He is caring and easy to talk to, the lectures weren't boring at all. He prepares you well for exam even the final that he does not write. Would take again if I happen to need to take calculus.

Professor Burlile was one of the best math teachers I've had. He's really good at explaining things and he takes his time to do so. I love math but trig was one of the hardest I've taken and I still ended with an A. That mostly has to do with his teaching and how helpful he was with providing study guides that well prepared me for the exam.

Greg is a very straightforward kind of professor. He answers all your questions, goes through numerous examples similar to ones found on exams, and assigns meaningful homework assignments. He is very friendly as well, so don't be nervous to ask for help. He was one of my best professors at CSCC.

He's really cool! As long as you do the packets and worksheets and study them you'll be good. He does zoom meetings as well if you need extra help. The class format makes the material so much easier than a regular college math class, probably my favorite math class ever taken. Very nice man!
