Extremely interesting lectures. I really enjoyed his style of teaching. He got the class involved in discussion but still maintained control and wove those points into his lectures. I was prepared to memorize dates and titles (American Lit.) but he made it so much more.

He is an excellent professor. He is very clear about what he is expecting from his students. has a lenient lesson plan and does not assign an unmanageable amount of work. His work load is reasonable: a week to read, 2 weeks to write an essay, and until saturday 12AM to turn in grammar. He also offers paper rewrites. I recommend to take him!

If you are a good writer already, Christensen is cake. If you are not a good writer, you might struggle. Lots of writing, not much reading. 5 essays (4 pages each), midterm and final essay exams, some easy grammar exercise homework. Lenient rewrite policy: turn in on original deadline and take until end of the semester to rewrite if you choose.

Greg is a great teacher cause he really wants you to excel! He helps you see what you need work on and helps you work to get better in your weak points! Greg is very clear about what his requirements are and very clear when he teaches you! He is a great teacher!

Christensen is so organized. He is specific of what he wants in your essays and focuses for on your goals as a learner. He will give EVERY material that you will need to pass this class. He has a website that can help you and he is thoughtful to his students. You should def take this class, I haven't l liked an English class until I took his class.

Awesome teacher. LOVES to talk, however really appreciates student input. A lot of class discussions on the reading material (but not too much reading), be sure to participate. There are an unlimited amount of rewrites on essays and he offers extra credit (workshops). A great class, teacher really cares about all students and his class overall.

I have honestly never seen a professor that cares so much about his students. His papers are challenging, reading is required, lots of quizes and so much extra credit!!! If you want an easy A then this class isn't for you.

took the course over summer entirely online. Had to write 4 page essays at the end of the week and participate in class forums to answer questions. Final was a 6 page research essay. Sounds scary but it wasn't that bad. Don't procrastinate because it is VERY easy to fall behind. He offers unlimited rewrites on essays for a better grade. Take him!!

Not an easy A. You really need to put work into your grade to get A. He offers extra credit. He has about 5 or 6 essays a semester then either a two short essays or one long essay for the midterm and final. If you ask for help, he'll try to help you. He's not gonna give you the answers but he'll try to get you to understand.

This has been by far the hardest English professor I have ever taken. He expects SO much from you. You have to do good on your essays, read the readings he assigns, and come to class. We started off from a huge class in the beginning, but ended up with only 12 people. The class is really hard so you must do your best and not slack off!

Hard to get an A in his online English class. He will scare you into thinking you will have a harsh workload, which is why alot of people will drop, but the CLASSWORK is MINIMAL and meeting the requirements is EASILY DONE. Also, he definitely knows his stuff and he gives good advice, However, the essays are the killers so FOCUS ON THE ESSAYS!!!!

This class was the HARDEST English class I have ever took and I passed with an A... I'm so proud of myself. You really need to work your butt off in this class. It can be a drag but do your best and you will succeed.

This class wasn't too hard in my opinion. Surprisingly ended up with an A. I found it easier than Engl 100. First, keep up with all your work. Second, don't lag behind essays and ASK FOR HELP. He's always there for office hours/email. Gives helpful information!! I recommend him a lot. Don't be intimidated.

Christensen is unlike any other professor. Rather than teach specific material, he teaches you to think. Without his classes, I would never have developed the critical analysis skills which are so crucial to helping me succeed in my life.

Class was straight forward. Consisted of Vocabulary log, Double Entry Journal and some worksheets. Grading of essays was very straight forward. Although he doesn't pinpoint every mistake you made he tells you what your reoccurring mistakes are. Lets you resubmit essays for a better grade within time frame. Class discussions always interesting.

excellent instructor. We did a lot of writing of course but he was helpful. the books we read were interesting. we did group work and the class interaction was great. He is very clear and makes sure everyone understands before moving forward with lecture. If only he was still teaching in class rather than online because i would take him again

I found it hard to get through the readings at the beginning, but Christensen made the explanations very clear in class and now I know the novels are worth your while to read. In fact, because of the books, I can say it is the best class I have taken so far. The prof is first rate too. He is smart and funny and makes the class exciting to go to.

I HATE ENGLISH. I'm afraid to talk to my teachers, but professor Christensen is super easy to talk to. He isn't intimidating and for the amount of work he puts into grading your assignments you can really tell that he cares. He is super nice. I wish I took him for 846 and 100. He's a rare one & THE KEY to passing is ACTUALLY doing your work!!!!!!!

This professor is invested in his students. There's a lot of homework and a total of 4 essays but all topics are interesting and beneficial -so I don't mind. He responds quick to emails and homework. Very good teacher, however be prepared to read a bit. Cares a lot about students and homework is manageable. Also allows revisions so should be impossible to not receive an A unless you don't try.

Sets the bar high and expects full integrity and effort. You will work hard and earn your grade — if you're not serious, this class is not for you.
