EXPLAINS WELL AND EXCELLENT TEACHING STRATEGIES. ALOT OF READING BUT WITH A SENSE BEHIND IT. EXAMS ARE NOT TO DIFFICULT

This man is great. He has a fantastic sense of humor, but when he says work, you better work. But, honestly the work is not too bad and the tests and quizzes are not so bad either.

He's the man!!! He may expect alot form you in terms of having your speechs on time but he really cool. I would recommend this professor. He's been my favorite professor overall. He's very street smart.

Not a B.S. class like u'd think, u actually have to read a lot,but if you take it, don't take anyone else! The tests may seem tricky but graded easy (just write a lot, show thought). Really cool guy & u write papers on stuff like the similarities between Oedipus Rex & 50 cent. U won't forget it!

Awesome,teacher. You must read Crime and Punnishment which is aweful, but he is very flexible on everything else. He is also hilarious. You must take his class.

First of all, Greg Donaldon is NOT hot. He is full of himself and probably wrote half of these good reviews to bide time while he waits for some publisher to advance him on another book. That said, he's a good professor and a nice guy. I reccomend.

Professor Donaldon is the best teacher I have had by far. I was completely scared to death od speaking in public and he made it so much simpler for me. He was very funny and I can see where some people would think him hansome. I havent seen him since my first semester and I hope to see him around.

Just a great teacher. Loves what he does,cares for his students and makes class FUN! No great difficulty in class work, 2 papers, few books and a few movies.Do the readings and you won't go wrong. I miss this class already! He is one of the best professors at JJay. I was able to learn about acting and its connection to criminal justice. I also did a film, for the final exam, and it helped me understand copycat crime better. I got an A for his class and I feel that I learned that much. I recommend him. By the way, he is extremely funny.

Love Him. SPE213=light workload compared to his other classes. (Lots of little assignmts, a few short quizzes, 1 paper and final). He takes it personally if u miss class, but why would u? He "keeps it real" & is "not a hater" =) Talk to him about anything. But be careful! If u had him before & did well, he'll expect more from u next time around.

whoever wrote that he can't teach he or she is wrong because he is a wonderful professor and there is no such thing as **** 201 in our school as a class. We are college students and we choose our courses and professor and 99% of the students who wrote on ratemyprofessor noted this stupid remark, professor Donaldson is a great professor!

Fabulous Teacher! I hate public speaking, but he made it fun and I actually enjoyed it. He's not bad for "an old white guy." Very funny and entertaining and great at what he does. Just prepare and try your best and you'll do fine.

John Jay is lucky to have such a professor. His class seems hard in the beginning but in the end you realize how great of class it was and how much you gonna miss it. Its very is easy to get an A. Donaldson is one of the BEST Professors in John Jay, be prepared to learn how to think WAY out the box. One of the BEST professors I have encountered while attending John Jay college. Overall, great professor, he is very motivational and inspiring. Speeches ranges from 3-9 minutes over the course of the semester; only an introductory speech, an informative speech and a persuasive speech. An easy A if you show up to class and show effort.

Came in to college a nerd with a minuscule voice. Came out from Donaldson's class with the voice of professionalism and the confidence to back it up. Legit, if you need a confidence booster, TAKE HIS CLASS. Not easy, but that's the point.

Donaldson is an amazing professor and public speaker. He really cares about his students and wants to see them progress as public speakers and students. When he gives you advice take it! He is always available, this class requires only 3 speeches, 3 reflections, and 1 final. As long as he sees you putting in the effort you will have no problem.

Professor Donaldson is such a unique character. He cares so much about his students and is so obviously passionate about what he's teaching (Not to mention, he's hilarious). His class is very lecture heavy, and participation is mandatory. There are some reading assignments, but other than that there are only two tests and a presentation project.

Not your usual lecture, he is very attentive to everyone and everyone is encouraged to speak their mind. You get extra credit for going to his New York Times club and/or discussing issues you read in the New York Times. He honestly wants every single one of his students to learn something in his class and you will, WITHOUT a headache. TAKE HIM!!!

You are graded on 3 speeches, visit him during office hours to practice so you know what to improve on. You get extra credit for that, visiting his New York Times Club, working in the library, etc. He cares and wants the best for you, so hell come on strong. Favorite professor at John Jay! This man is a genius. If you're afraid of speaking in front of large crowds, this man will turn you into a great public speaker. He doesn't assign homework besides the speeches you will have to write. If public speaking intimidates you, take this class, you wont regret it. Easy A, his class is a movie!

By far my favorite professor in this school. He truly cares about his students and gives completely doable work (esp. during this pandemic). Be prepared to act and participate! If he can tell that you're putting in effort for the class, he will most likely give you a good grade. If he could teach my other classes, I would take them in a heartbeat.
