Prof. Gifford cares about his students and really wants to see them progress in Christlikeness. He is a blessing to TMU and to the universal church and has a unique insight into trauma (he wrote a book on PTSD). You read important biblical counseling books and do a self counsel project throughout the semester. Overall, a great class and prof!

Prof Gifford is a great prof because he practices balance in his classroom. His lectures are relevant to real life circumstances and follow the material in the notes closely and in an organized manner. The homework assignments are practical and a reflection of the content we discuss in class.

The lectures are super interesting, and Dr. Gifford is great at clarifying any confusion. A lot of discussion is incorporated which helps solidify what we're learning. Class is relatively chill, and he's very personable and helps you want to be in class. The homework isn't particularly easy or hard, and his feedback is always really helpful.

This class discusses a lot of heavy topics, and Dr. Gifford is very good at addressing them lovingly while staying committed to truth. He's receptive to questions and class discussion, and makes clarifications when needed. The homework is very practical, as is the class as a whole.

I'm a Communications major and I decided to take this class as an elective my senior year to fulfill the unit requirement. I have absolutely loved everything about this class. Having the opportunity to study at TMU has been such a blessing, but not enough students take advantage of some of the departments we have like biblical counseling!

Out of all the profs I've had at the Master's University, Dr. Gifford has been my favorite. He's a great, engaging lecturer. He's very accommodating with students who may be in sports or are struggling with their schoolwork. He gives great feedback on papers, and class discussions will push you to think deeply about the topic at hand.

Dr. Gifford is caring and awesome with answering people's questions and scienarios. He encaptulates speaking the truth in love.

Dr. Gifford shows a high level of competence in his field. He instructs with both precision and clarity when conveying key concepts about Biblical Counseling. Some of the greatest takeaways from the course is the all the practical application he gives his students to apply in everyday life. This should be a required course for all students.

Really good professor. I have learned a lot from these classes by showing up and paying attention in lectures and by completing homework assignments. If you do the work, this class should be an easy A. But you will also learn a lot of practical skills that will help you thorughout your life.

Dr. Greg Gifford was a great professor. I took his marriage and family class and it was such a useful and informative class. It is practical and I will definitely keep these notes for later in life. Such a good class!!! He grades fare and as long as you pay attention and show up to class, a B+ to an A is pretty easy to get.

I took Dr. Gifford's Introduction to Biblical Counseling. This class was amazing and the lectures were very helpful and applicable to life. He is a very smart guy and he leaves plenty of time for questions and loves to have class discussions. I would defiantly take him again. Grades can be hard sometime because the quiz are tested off of concepts.

I took Dr. Gifford's Christian Theology class and this was one of my favorite classes. The class discussions are always a highlight and he articulates well what can seem confusing a lot of times. I would 100% recommend this class. As long as you memorizes the verses and vocabulary and show up to class, it is a pretty easy A.

Prof. Gifford is very dynamic in the classroom and brings a good sense of humor to the subject matter. He is well knowledgable of the subject matter and knows how to communicate it in a simple and effective manner. A little too much homework at times, but nonetheless an easy grader and clear on expectations.

Overall a really great professor and made the topic of Christian Theology something exciting for me. I have learned so much from him and hope to take him again in the future.

I feel the exams in this class are comprehensive, yet not particularly difficult because the Prof. does such a good job at teaching clearly and comprehensively throughout the semester.

I have taken a few classes with Dr. Gifford and they have all been amazing! He's really funny, but he takes his classes seriously. The assignments he gives are actually really enjoyable, but be prepared to memorize bible verses. His classes are some of my all-time favorites, and I try to take classes with Gifford whenever I can.

This class has been a really great course! It has been engaging and Gifford does a good job with explaining the topics and answering questions. One thing that I would improve is the amount of quizzes. Between the verse quizzes, vocab quizzes, and teaching summaries, it was a bit much. A pro was that I was made to know the material.

Prof. Gifford knows his topic well, enjoys teaching it and helps us become well versed in theology, all the while keeping us entertained with his "slap-daddy" humor.

It is very clear that he loves the Lord and he loves his students. It was a pretty difficult class only because he expects a lot from his students especially with the teaching summaries.

Had the opportunity to finally sit in his classes and they did not disappoint. Loved being able to learn about the Lord in the environment Dr. Gifford sets up. Presenting teaching summaries was frightening, but all in great fun because he deeply cares about instilling great foundation in his students.

Although there is a lot of reading, the course textbook is interesting and pretty easy to read, so I never found it to be burdensome. If you put in the work, you'll do fine. Besides, Gifford is GREAT!

My Prof for this course made a subject that has always been something that i thought was over my head, he made it simple enough for me to understand without taking away from any of the material. He also showed that he really cared about us and that we learnt the material. He learnt all our names and interacted with us to make sure we were learning.

I appreciated Dr. Gifford's Theology I class for a number of reasons, the first being that he was very straightforward with his expectations of what we were to be learning. If you show up to class, take notes, and listen well during the lecture, it's not hard to ace his exams. He's also one of my favorite profs just because of how personable he is.

Professor Gifford way of teaching is personable, diligent, creative, and enjoyable. The way he incorporates valuable Christian Theology in a uniquely fun class environment shows his care for the information and for his students. The information within this class is extremely valuable and I learned an exceeding amount while I was taking this course.

Gifford is awesome. Wish he taught Theo 2 as well. You need to read Grudem as it will give you good context for the class and notes. Also there are almost weekly reading quizzes. Keep up with the reading and you will do fine. He can handle just about any question you throw at him. Make sure to ask him about his Solo on the Chapel livestream.

I love Dr. Gifford! This is my first semester at The Master's University, and he became one of my favorite bible professors. I loved his lectures, and he was able to explain any doubt we had. With his homework, you will learn the material.

Hes very upfront with the level of responsibility he expects from the students. He is comfortable with navigating deep theological concepts without giving biases. It can be difficult at a Christian college that has a vast majority of PKs to maintain open learning dialogue about differences in convictions.

Proff Gifford is one of my favorite Professors. The lectures are interesting as well as fun and are full of learning. There is a lot of reading but the book we read is amazing and the homework is spaced out well!! There is also a lot of memorization and many quizzes which can be hard but overall it is good. He is a good teacher!!

Dr. Gifford is an incredible professor. He is extremely well prepared, knowledgeable about the topics, and truly makes the subject matter interesting. In his classes you will not only gain much knowledge but be challenged in your walk with the Lord.

Professor Gifford is an outstanding teacher. He has provided his students with life lessons and the ability to appropriate the theological truths taught in this class to their own walk with Jesus. He is also humorous and super helpful! I would definitely take this course again!

Dr. Gifford is one of the best Bible profs at TMU. He's an interesting and funny lecturer and has clear course goals and materials. Basically as long as you do the reading and get the notes copied down you'll do great! There is some memorization which seems difficult, but his exams/quizzes are designed to help you do well!

Only textbook required is Systematic Theology by Wayne Grudem. If you show up to this class ready to learn you'll do fine. Try to get ahead of the reading since he gives you all the assigned readings on the course syllabus. Just get ahead and start memorizing the Bible verses the first week. This class is only as hard as you make it out to be.

My favorite Prof at TMU so far. Dr. Gifford makes class fun and really tries to engage with his students. In Christian Theology he did a great job clarifying biblical principles that were harder to understand. Very great class I wish Dr. Gifford taught Christian Theology 2 but I'm looking forward to taking his intro to Biblical counseling class.

Dr. Gifford shows solid knowledge on his field although BTH321 can feel a little repetitive. He teaches straight from the book and requires the reading before lectures, so the lectures can feel unnecessary at times. He's still a fun prof, so it's still worth showing up for class.

Dr. Gifford is very relatable, funny, and helpful in understanding Gods word and theology. This class is one of my favorites that I have ever taken. The work load is light but just enough to where you practice what you learn in class. If youre deciding who to take, Gifford is the man! You will memorize scripture and better understand Gods word.

Professor Gifford is absolutely gifted by the Lord. He is very educated and explains things in a very easy way. This class is very beneficial for your spiritual growth! Absolutely recommend it!

The material that Gifford teaches from in the note packets is what he grades on and it is easy to follow the notes throughout class. The grading is very straight forward from the notes which makes studying clear. I enjoyed his teaching style because he does a great job at illustrating the big ideas, answering questions, and he's hilarious.

Super engaging! He does his best to motivate you to learn the material and retain it with reviews and class participation.

Dr. Gifford is engaging and helpful. He is ready to answer questions you have and be as helpful as possible while also encouraging you to reach conclusions on your own. He lectures well, is SO FUNNY, and makes going to class enjoyable. He will become one of your favorite professors!

This class was a lot of fun to take. The professor grades fair and does not give too much work. The lectures are enjoyable and it makes you want to learn more about the subject.

An amazing professor! He cares deeply and genuinely about his students and is hilarious as well. He can take difficult passages and explain them very clearly. One of the things I appreciate the most about his classes is that he is very organized and clear in the way his courses are set up. If you have the opportunity, take his class!!!

The syllabus outlines the entire semester in a clear and organized way. Dr. Gifford makes class enjoyable and is always willing to clarify anything you might be struggling to understand. The assignments complement the lecture material well and they will help you be prepared for the exams!

Gifford is by far my favorite professor, and Theo Basis of Biblical Counseling is my favorite class I've taken thus far. This is a super thought-provoking course. I definitely thought that I was in too deep the first few weeks talking about epistemology: this class really challenged me, but it was worth it for sure. If you go to TMU, take Gifford.
