Greg seems like he is a good guy. His class is interesting and he is full of knowledge. I enjoy going to class and I would recommend him as a professor to other students.

Doctor Kelley has very well structured and engaging lessons that allow for interaction among its students and clearly outlines the main concepts of the course. The lack of computers is a unique element to his course, however it is truly beneficial. He is very fair in his marking, and the tests and midterms are also well thought out.

The children`s folklore assignment we had to do for his subcultures class was a little weird though, and he gets pretty upset when you don`t do his readings for the week. Pfft, readings...

Greg is one of my favourite profs! HIs lectures are interesting and fun and he delivers the information in a way that you not only remember it but you learn it! That's not to say the class is a breeze, but the assignments are fun and class overall is excellent!!

Amazing person in general. The topic at first was a little unique to be learning about in media studies but he really is passionate on what he teaches and applies is directly to the media program. I love public speaking, so this class was really easy for me to begin with, but Greg made it my favourite class this semester. His marking scheme is fairly easy, and gives great feedback after presentations. Even if you're not that comfortable speaking, having Greg as your prof will definitely make the difference.

I took Gregs class just this past semester during the OPSEU strike and he went above and beyond to make sure his students were on track. He was very accessible, consistent and caring to all students. It is imperative to attend class since he does not post lectures online, however his class was so fun you won't want to miss class either way.

During the strike, he made sure that everyone was still able to complete work and was happy to answer any questions we had. Had him for 3 classes in my second year (Contemporary Narrative, Presentations and Persuasion, and Subcultures and the Media) and he is absolutely perfect. Clear from the very start, and is made a 3 hour evening class very enjoyable.

This semester was affected by the 5-week OPSEU teacher's strike. During that time, Greg was incredibly attentive to his students. He made arrangements to give students a way to confer with him in person (regarding the very heavy capstone research project) despite the cancellation of classes.

He's a storyteller so he delivers material in a memorable way, but he's a tough marker. You need to be able to really grasp and apply the material to do well.

Greg is great. You have to attend his lectures because he doesn't post any of his slides, and even if he did there is very little put on them; all his content is from what he discusses. But, he makes class enjoyable and what he talks about very interesting and easy to understand, and you can tell he genuinely loves and cares about what he saying.

Great guy. Lovely to talk to. Very helpful with questions in regards to homework on in class work. Is serious about class and what he teaches. Allowed laptops in this class but has advised not in others. Outgoing and relaxed. A whole lot of fun, wish I had him for other classes.

Dr. Kelley is hands down my favourite prof/teacher I've ever had. He actually cares about his students and takes the time to learn their names and treats them with respect. His lectures are always entertaining and make you eager to learn more! I've had him for 3 classes so far and I hope I get him as a prof again next year!

He does encourage hand writing notes, but he goes slow and repeats things if asked.

Fantastic Professor overall! Great lectures taught with interesting stories, and exams fair. If you show up to class, review your notes, it's all fair game. There are no trick questions. The only thing that throws me off is his personal skills. When it comes to saying hello, goodbye, and thank you, he tends to ignore you. I find it odd.

He is one of the most engaging professors, and he always brings a happy, upbeat attitude to class. While this class may be scary because of how long and how much the paper is worth, you couldn't have a better prof teaching it!

He is very approachable and understanding so if you're struggling with anything (class related or not), he'll be able to help you out. We didn't have a textbook but make sure you do your readings!
