he is a really great teacher and really fun. you'll love the lectures if u like how it can be applied to ur life. however jus cuz hes a good teacher doesnt mean he'll be easy! expects REAL WORK! its a majors course anyways! be sure to study his notes thoroughly and expect it to be a tough class!

Funny guy, interesting lectures. He really knows his stuff. Sometimes he gets so into the subject that he may lose you if you're not taking good notes. The tests are tough but fair.

If anyone has to take Bio 100 take this guy. He is the best teacher on the College of the Canyons campus. He is funny, caring, and generally a really smart, enthusiastic great person.

Greg is one of the best teachers I've ever had. Marine Biology may seem like an involved class but Greg's fun, light lectures are not only insightful, but easy to comprehend. His tests are based on the lectures so if you simply copy the notes he writes on the overhead projector and study them, you'll have no problem. The labs aren't the best way to spend a Friday, but Greg's teaching style makes it worth while. I definitly recommend Greg.

Greg is great he is so fun to take, the test are soly based on lecture take lots of notes on almost everything he says. Can get off topic eazy.

He is head of the Biology Department so he knows what he is teaching. He is a spongologist and very funny. This class requires a lot of information retention but i've never net a more dedicated teacher. He came to every single study session our class had and made time for student questions. I ended up earning and A.

Best biology teacher I've ever had. Always willing to help when you need it, and while the lecture material was sometimes difficult, did a wonderful job of explaining it until you understood it for yourself. Lecture's were pretty damn funny too.

Greg is one of the best teachers, he will teach you how to teach yourself and join in your study groups. He goes out of his way to assist his students and give them the skills needed to suceed in his class as well as in any class you are taking. I must say that he is one of the best teachers I have ever took. The stuff can be hard, but he will always go out of his way to help students. He lead our study groups out of class (on his own free time). He is a funny guy, too. Made a good subject great. He truly cares for the sutudent - more than any other teacher I have ever had.

Greg Nishiyama should be canonized. He's an excellent teacher, hilarious and immensely helpful. I've learned so much from him. My only regret is not taking his class during a traditional semester (I took him over the summer). In my opinion, he is the best professor at COC. Take him!

A delightful, funny man who entertains and keeps lectures interesting. The material was presented in a simple, clear manner. Textbook readings are not assigned, however most lecture notes come directly from the textbook or are clarified in greater detail, so it is a definite good resource. All exams come strictly from the lecture slides. Have fun!

Greg is the funnist teacher I've ever had. His labs are so much fun and he makes things easy to understand! He ALWAYS has a good story to tell that relates to the lecture and sometimes he may make you laugh so hard you cry. I'm not kidding.

Greg is such a cool guy!!! Everyone in my class liked him. Great stories and fun ways to help you learn and memorize. He cares if you care. He'll help you out. Extra help before tests and extra study sessions made it nice to pass each test.

I loved Greg. I am not a "science person," but, Greg's class was different. First of all, he is so nice and more importantly, he's approachable. He got his ph.d from USC, and knows his stuff. He's also super helpful. The course,being bio 106, was difficult, but Greg made lectures interesting and understandable! I had so much fun taking the class!

I freaking love Greg! I was dreading taking a bio class, since science is not my best subject. He made it fun to learn, with his crazy stick figure drawings! This guy will make you love bio. He's smart, funny, and really teaches you what you need to know. He uses power point that have all the info you need. Take good notes, participate and you'll do well.

Greg is the most genuine&helpful professor at COC. I dreaded taking bio, but I am so grateful I took his class. He offers study groups anytime, anywhere which are EXTREMELY helpful for the exams. But he's roll on the floor funny...constantly making jokes. his facial expressions are hillarious. and his "funny" connections make you remeber things. You will want to attend class because it?s fun to learn when he is the teacher. Nish makes things so understandable; he could probably teach Nuclear Fission to a 5 year old.

Greg has been one of my favorite teachers at COC. I took his general biology class and it was fun and easy, but at the same time I learned a lot. He incorporates many stories, and even makes a 8am class fun.

Greg's one of the coolest teachers at COC. He's the only teacher I'm comfortable calling by his first name. The labs in Marine Biology are fun, you work in groups. You get to go on field trips to the beaches and stay overnight with your classmates. One day he decided to have class at IHOP and we all ate breakfast while he lectured.

He is passionate with the learning of every student. He is an absolute wonderful person, kind caring and extremely knowledgable.
