VERY easy, he is a very trustworthy teacher, please don't take advantage of that. They're right, you pretty much give yourself your own grade.

Walk into his classroom and you will automatically smile. Knows his stuff, but also excels on transferring the information to you.

You can see in his eyes the care he has for his students. He wants all of his students to serve successful missions.

Brother Palmer is awesome! He knows what he is talking about and is very cheerful, even at 7 in the morning. The best part of the class is going through Missionary scenarios during class. It's not hard at all, just show up and do what little work there is. The class is not about getting a grade, it's about perparing for a mission.

Honestly the best religion professor I've had, hands down! I mean, what do we all want in a religion class? Somewhere we can go and learn and feel the spirit, without having a lot of dumb busy-work and pointless assignments. He doesn't do those things! You learn amazing stuff, and at the same time, it's not a stress-out class. Take him!

He is a very good teacher with alot of interest in the gospel, very smart. Has one page papers every week on blackboard to send, very easy, just ned to read the book (which isn't had, a half a page to 2 pages every other day) some other easy projects. No midterm and a way easy final.

GREAT teacher all around. His classes are fun, energetic, and educational. He's flexible when things come up. He was the most knowledgeable of any other religion teacher I've ever had. If you take him when he teaches sermon on the mount, he lets students slap him in the face when teaching "Turn the other cheek"

Brother Palmer is the best teacher ever. His classes are extremely easy yet you learn lots. I loved his test the last questions were always bonus questions with a smile face beside the correct answer so you would always get it right.

At first this class seems like it will be ridiculous, but it ended up being the easiest religion class I've taken in 4 semesters. Brother Palmer is great and creates an atmosphere where anyone feels comfortable commenting. You do have to take a quiz everyday but they are really easy if you've done the reading. On the first day of class I knew that taking Brother Palmer's class was the best decision I have made since coming to BYUI. This man knows EVERYTHING! I've never met a teacher who is so genuinely concerned with his students. He is SO energetic. I always end up wishing class could last longer. I will be taking every religion course I can from him.

I took Brother Palmer for Latin American Cultures and New Testament. He is a great teacher who really cares about what he's teaching and even more importantly, he cares about his students. He'll explain something to you in seven different ways if you don't get it the first time! Very lighthearted and wonderful to have as a teacher.

There was a lot of small homework assignments, but they were all easy and the final projects are whatever you want them to be (as long as it relates to the class). He is fun to learn from.

Okay. So the class takes a LOT of work, but he's really a great teacher. I learned a TON, and I felt the Spirit pretty much every class. He's also really willing to work with you, and you can tell he wants you to succeed and genuinely cares about everyone in the class.

Br. Palmer is great. He is one of my favorite teachers. He is very sincere and cares about you. Everytime class ends he shakes your hand. I enjoy his class a lot. Most definitely recommend. Classwork isn't hard at all and he is very understanding on all levels.

Br. Palmer is extremely nice. He really does care about everybody. He lets people volunteer for reading and we sing the hymns that we listed as our favorites at the beginning of the semester. His class really did help me grow a lot spiritually. You will not be disappointed. He always takes time for class discussion.

Best professor ever! He is incredibly funny during class, he keeps you awake. You develop so much respect for him and his testimony through his teaching. He is passionate and educated about the gospel. You choose if you want to take a test or do a project, do the project because you simply report your success with readingmemorizing church papers.

Brother Palmer is a spiritual powerhouse! I took Old Testament mainly because he was teaching it! He has a great love for the gospel and it shows in his character. He does assign a few papers and expects you to read, so be prepared for that.

There is nothing bad to say about Bro. Palmer. He is the salt of the earth. I enjoyed every class and looked forward to going. He does assign a lot of papers toward the end of the semester that are due pretty close together but as long as you keep up with the reading you'll be good. Brother Palmer is an amazing teacher who loves to teach and loves the Gospel! He gets to know you personally and really cares. His priority is to make sure we understand the topics rather than focusing on tests and homework. You won't want to miss a single day in his class. Each day is spiritually uplifting and you'll walk away smiling.

He is a good guy and a good teacher. I just did not like his teaching style. The class has a far amount of busy work and a handful of group assignments. The lectures are an overview of the reading that are basically a review unless questions are asked, in which case he often does well answering them.

No tests! Lets you ask whatever doctrinal question in the gospel before class actually begins. He provides a very comfortable atmosphere for students to ask anything they'd like without feeling criticized or judged.

He is a great teacher and listens to all of your responses. He is ready to give extra help and really tries to help you build your testimony. I would take his class again in a second. There wasn't too much reading either.

Brother Palmer may just be my favourite man on the planet! He's so spiritual, it's not uncommon for him and/or his students to tear up in class. He gives so much insight and clarification into every passage of scripture. The work isn't hard, it just gets you to actually study your scriptures (which you should be doing anyways) so it's fine.

This was one of my favorite classes, I strongly recommend taking his class to anyone, he engages the class the whole time and there is a lot of roll play. Very little homework and he has a good mix of spirituality and humor though out the whole class.

Brother Palmer was AMAZING. If you are taking mission prep, TAKE IT FROM HIM. He was very spiritual and changed my experience here. However, if you are just wanting to take this as a filler class for the religion credit, I wouldn't recommend it. It is very centered around becoming a missionary in the mission field. Brother Palmer is the greatest religion professor I have ever had. If you're considering taking New Testament, take it with him. He dives so fully into it you just get fully engrossed in the gospel and the spirit during his class. He is genuinely kind and caring towards everyone and is so open to talking about anything you have questions about.

Brother palmer is a good teacher. He prepared well for his lectures and gives you a good class every time. He does not tell you about assignments. At the beginning of the semester, there was an assignment due that more than half that class didn't know about because he never mentioned it and it wasn't in the calendar.

I loved Brother Palmer's testimony. He is very caring and willing to answer any gospel questions. He is excited about missionary work and serving Jesus Christ. If you are preparing to serve a mission I highly recommend taking his class. He will challenge you to prepare yourself and grow to where you need to be to become a missionary!

Brother Palmer is very knowledgeable about the Old Testament and I enjoyed this class. However, there is A LOT of reading which can help or hurt your grade. Overall, this class increased my knowledge and appreciation for the Old Testament but it was sometimes tough to keep up all with the reading.

Bro Palmer is pretty cool. He has a class structure that's easy to understand and is incredibly spiritual in his preparation and his lectures. He is a super understanding guy and will work with you on just about anything.

I just started the class, and will most likely be swapping it for another because my work load this semester is already heavy enough. But Palmer is a solid professor, genuine and spiritual, all around great guy. But IDK if all New Testament courses are designed like this, or his is specifically; but it is WAY too much work for a 2 credit class.

Brother Palmer is awesome. I really enjoyed his new testament class. I wish I could take more classes with him. HE cares for his students a lot and wants the best for them. This class has an easy routine you read a little bit then make a 5 question quiz before each class. As long as you show up you will pass.

Yes this is a review for bro palmer but more than anything, I urge YOU to take his class. I have taken him for multiple semesters and have never so consistently felt the spirit. He truly loves his students and the gospel. If you let it, I know it could change your life. The preparation assignments are never too much. Not alot of hw for a religion

Brother Palmer needs to be protected at all costs. He is extremely sweet & tries to make a connection with every single student. The class is VERY lecture heavy but he does a lot of class participation. The only assignments are quizzes of whether you did the reading or not, & then a few really easy, occasionally group papers. Definitely recommend.

Brother Palmer's strength definitely lies in his love for each of us. I took him for 250C, and his lectures were great and insightful. There are reading quizzes every class and you have to bring paper scriptures because he doesn't allow phone use in the classroom. It is rigorous, but it's not hard if you set reminders and follow instructions.
