Sabin is an incredible professor. Everyone knows he's the best AC222 professor so his classes get crowded, and he'll try to scare you off on day 1. In reality, he's a teddy bear. Breeds negative competition. Establishes a good relationship with some people who end up getting higher participation grades (regardless of actual participation), and doesn't even say hi to others. Blows through course material. Expects people to participate by asking questions, so people end up asking irrelevant questions to get points. Awful.

He is the literal definition of what a teacher should not be like. He auto sends out exit questions 8 hours after class and the question closes in exactly 24 hours with no notification no nothing. One time, out of 124 students only 30 did the question. Yet he failed to change the way he do the questions and he sent 2 emails ranting how we suck.

After every class we are supposed to fill out an exit quiz for our participation grade. How can I be expected to remember that? Im not capable of remembering something that simple. Come on, Sabin, send us a reminder email every single day so we can remember what we need to do. He is terrible. He makes me think, come to class, AND participate.

What we expected from Greg: I will make the exit questions more relevant to accounting and available immediately after class like theyre supposed to. I will make questions more straightforward to avoid confusion and accommodate for internet issues and give them extra time to finish Greg in reality: sike lll post fake comments and blame them.

explains concepts well but needs to be more empathetic & flexible w students. unresponsive to complaints/suggestions. More focused on you being a "good student" than you learning AC. Tests your test-taking & order following skills, not ur understanding of AC. He needs to be kinder & listen to students, esp since we're in the middle of a pandemic.

Professor Sabin was not the worst professor I've had in Questrom but he is the second one. We are nearly done with the semester and I can say I have not learned as much as I wanted to. The tests are quite challenging, most of the stuff on them are things we don't learn in class. His stories are useless. He never takes blame for his mistakes

If you put in the work such you will do fine! He pushes his students to be the best versions of themselves. Prof. Sabin infuses stories into his teaching style to make sure his students truly understand concepts. I just finished my last lecture with Prof. Sabin, and cannot emphasize how wrong the red comments are below mine. So glad I took w/ him!

Professor Sabin is extremely passionate about teaching which is why it was particularly hard for him to adjust to LFA. He implemented a bigger curve on the tests to adjust for this semester. Explains the material well but tests are difficult and you'll need to work for ur grade. Overall, you'll learn a lot about accounting.

Professor Sabin has been one of the best professors I have ever had during my time at BU. It is evident that he truly cares about his students - devoting an entire lecture to helping students prioritize their life and find what they're passionate about. I could not disagree more with these negative comments. Sabin is the best choice for AC222.

Gave me some tough-love, but he tries his best to connect w students. He did listen to feedback and change things. He does review sessions over the weekend, will bring his partner who is a Harvard prof. for a guest lecture, and he will review ur midterm w u. His stories are great, and is a GREAT teacher, he will teach techniques that others don't.

Sabin is a great professor who cares a lot about his students. He gives interesting examples about his career and uses that to explain important concepts. The homework is easy and shouldn't take you too long. Exams can be hard but are fair and nothing unexpected.

Professor Sabin really cares about what he teaches and it shows. Not only does he teach the content but he provides meaningful examples that show how it is used. He makes sure that students understand what he teaches and will pause to go over any questions you have. A way better experience than the one I previously had in AC221.

Most people either love him or hate him. Overall, he was a fine professor who was teaching a pretty boring/generic class. He's a bit socially unaware and can definitely rub off on people the wrong way. He definitely doesn't mean to and cares about his class and his students. Tests are pretty tough but studying will get you to the grade you deserve.

Sabin is a great professor, despite the other reviews on here. His class can be challenging, but it's clear what you need to know before the exams. The hardest thing about the midterms is the time limit, not really the content. Overall, a great professor and a nice guy who cares a lot about his students.

These negative reviews are either from students who got on his bad side or didn't go to class. He's a good professor. Yes, I questioned some things he did, but he's a good choice for ac222. He took a whole class just to talk about life and give career advice, plus he always has review sessions before exams. If you actually try, you'll benefit.

I've been lucky enough to have many great educators in my life, but Professor Sabin topped all of them. Even during an online semester, his concern for his students' well-being and personal success is unmatched. He's very fair, considerate, and authentic. He isn't afraid to open up to his students and teach them beyond the curriculum. 10/10.

The absolute worst professor I have ever had at BU. If you do not have to take him don't!!! He is also extremely inconsiderate. My laptop broke completely before the final and while every other professor was nice and accommodating he told me to figure it out or he would fail me. He also refused to let me take the class off for a religious holiday.

I'm really surprised by the feedback being provided here. I know he said that he failed several students last fall, and I guess this is just the repeated commentary from disgruntled students from last semester. So far this semester the test was fair. He has been on point. He is informative, friendly and very helpful. Honestly, he is great.

He did not make any attempts to teach his material to students who weren't already in the accounting field. He clearly has a lot of experience in the industry, which he mentions often, but I would not say that has translated into him being an effective educator.

Clearly not the happiest guy Halfway through the semester he has a rehearsed story about how he chose his career over his family. Nobody should do that. It shouldnt be the large or emotional decision he makes it out to be. Working at top companies won't make you happy, and it shows cause he's pretty rude and egotistic likely to cope with his misery

Hoping he sees this. Sabin acts like he has lots of good wisdom and advice, like I shold follow what he says. Hes also in his 50s and gets offended by online reviews from 19 year olds, left his wife for his corporate job, and brags about working for Ford. I dont want advice from him since hes everything a sane person wouldn't want to be at his age.
