Very good teacher. Funny. Makes excellent points--very uplifting class. Motivating.
Awesome prof. Great teacher. I would highly recommend him to other students.
adorable guy, he has a lot of fun stories and a couple of 'object lessons'. Medium length reading assingments, but they're 70 percent of your grade, so easy A. You gain great insights from him.
He was really interesting and had a lot of insight!

Moderate amount of work but you've GOT to keep up (or get ahead) of the 5 week BofM challenge or you're toast Interested in seeing all of his students grow and succeed Will bend over backwards but not break Engaging, fun, spiritual Take him! :)
Tons of reading but it makes up most of your grade. The final class average was a like a 90 so it's pretty easy. I'm of the opinion that religion isn't supposed to be very hard anyway. His power points are kind of boring but he is a great teacher. The key is to come to class prepared (having done the homework) and you will do just fine.
He is a nice guy, but I thought the class was SO BORING! You will learn a lot, but he is one of my least favorite religion teachers. Fortunately, what the class lacks in entertainment it makes up for in ease. Most everything is graded by yourself. You must do the reading- but if you do its an easy A.
What a great teacher. You have to do the reading and do two lesson assignments, but it is very easy. A little bit boring sometimes in the lessons, since he loves powerpoints, but overall, not bad at all.
Its a doctrine and covenants class, and he makes you read from the book of mormon, church history book, talks from apostles and prophets, and other random things. if you take his class be ready to read 5 to 6 hours a week just for his class. His lectures are rarely relevent to the D&C and makes you memorize his lectures word for word for his tests
He was an ok teacher. He is nice but extremely boring. Attendence is very important. You're only allowed one unexcused absense before he docks your grade. For every day you miss after the first one he takes half a letter grade. ex. A to A-. But it's an easy class.
I liked Bro Williams. He is funny, and tells interesting stories about his experiences. There is a lot of work to do. We read from the D&C and from the Church History Manual, and from talks from general authorities. You learn so much from the CH manual though. I suggest taking him.
Very Very Very Good Teacher, one of the best i have had. funny laid back guy, but a hard worker and a good teacher. he cares about his students and will talk with them even when its not about the class. This Class was Awesome, i learned alot, this class Will prepare you for a mission!
good teacher, loved the class
Great Teacher. My siblings have been recommending him to one another for the past 10 years as a must have while at BYU Idaho. Very worthwhile.
Great guy. Good teacher. He made sure you put in an hour of reading in a day. I'm sorry, but, It seemed like a ton of work for a religion class. But it was worth it and very interesting. Recommend this class to others!
Brother Williams is probably the most enjoyable professor I have ever had. He tells alot of good, entertaining stories from his life to prove points. His tests can be a little tricky but overall if you go to class, and as long as you dont fall asleep you will always learn something or be uplifted in some way. Highly reccomend this class.
This teacher was truly an amazing guy. He really understood what he was teaching, and made sure we understood it as well. Really easy to get an A, and will definitely prepare you for a mission. Really strengthens your testimony. I would take him again and again. Favorite teacher for the semester!!! *hearts*
Brother Williams is such an amazing teacher. I will take all classes he teaches. There is a ton of reading though. All test aren't worth much of your grade and they are extremely easy if you read what he assigns. I learned so much and my testimony grew so much. Has many great insights on the doctrine but teaches by the spirit.
I was interested in learning about the Book of Mormon but I don't feel as if I walked away having learned something. His lectures were dry and I dreaded going to his class. It's an easy class, since it's just reading and 2 lesson assignments and the tests are easy but I didn't really learn anything from him. A disappointment.
An extremely spiritual teacher who is fun and has a great attitude about the gospel. Do the reading and you will be uplifted. Preparation is key to your grade and there is rarely too much reading. Make his class a priority and you will grow in the gospel. He has a deep understanding of gospel principles found in the scriptures.
Bro. Williams is a very good teacher. He has worked hard to have very organized lessons. He really knows his stuff and can answer all of your questions. There is a lot of reading but it is worth it.
Great teacher, talks with the students, works with them, gives great advice, prepares for the class, uses great resources.
Great teacher! So very helpful and absolutely hilarious. I took it as a block class, never do a religion class for block. But he made it easier to handle and very laid back.
Best teacher I ever had! Life changing! I took as many classes of his as I could. I could not recommend him highly enough! Pleas take his class! You will be so glad you did! You can tell he practices what he preaches - he is a good person down to the bone, and combined with his increadible gift of teaching, it is the best class ever offered!!
I felt that Bro. Williams helped me so much to prepare for my mission. Now being home I think that he had such a huge impact on me I want to take more of his classes. He was truly an inspiration. Take his Missionary Prep. Book of Mormon class.
I had Br. Williams for my "Book of Mormon for Prospective missionaries" class. He was really good, he helped me grow in the gospel, and i feel much more prepared for my mission. I would suggest him for Any Religion class, but especially Mission Prep or Book of Mormon.
He is a really great teacher that transfers his excitement for the Book of Mormon over to his students. He really inspired me to be the best person I could be.
Favorite Quotes: "I say to my self, self..." "This is going to be the longest hour of my life" and others. Great teacher
He is fantastic. I didn't like him at first, but by the end of the semester, he was one of my favorite teachers.
Boring teacher. Uses the same corny jokes every class. It's easy to cheat. Lets students grade their own exams. But if you miss more than 2 classes there are no excuses and you're screwed.
Easy. Challenges your integrity because that's what your grade is based on. Show up, do the work, no need for make up work because the extra credit is crazy high. If you do well you could get an a and not take the final.
Great guy
Funny guy, defiantly will take him again!
I wouldnt recomment this professor because he loves busy work, that is obviously visible in his before class reading and worksheets and quizes. In class the lecture isnt really relevent to the content of the homework. He always talks in context of disney movies and snorkling, jet skiing, and scuba diving and it doesnt really make sense. Good luck
Brother Williams is such an amazing teacher! He makes you want to come to class. He is very fun and likes to tell a lot of jokes. He is definitely one of the best religion teachers that I have had so far. I would definitely recommend taking his class!
Great guy, really funny and good to talk to. This class was a breeze. I took the hybrid online course which i would highly recommend. Still learned alot and it was enjoyable to go to class!
His mission prep was in my opinion useless. We didn't even touch preach my gospel and only talked about investigators 2 times all semester. I learned more in my New Testament 2 class about missionary work than I did in Brother William's Class. I advise to not take it from him.
He was so helpful and kind. I learned a lot about the gospel, which I think is the purpose of the class.
Yeah so being a returned missionary now I can say that this class did absolutely NOTHING to prepare me for my mission. We never even opened Preach My Gospel once, never practiced teaching--it was so useless. Nice guy, but if you are serious about preparing for a mission I plead with you to take this class from someone else.
I loved Brother Williams. He made learning exciting and helped you to take out a lot from the scriptures. There a few tests throughout the semester but i felt like they helped what you learn stick in your brain better. I would recommend his class to anyone that wants to get some spiritual insight out of your religion class.
This was an easy class, as long as you are on time and you turn in your readings and Insights on time you can pass with an A. He gives so many extra credit opportunities, and is very willing to work with you. Has a dry sense of humor :)
Greg Williams is passionate about what he teaches, for better or for worse. If you want a teacher who goes above and beyond for religion classes, and don't mind reading a LOT with a lot of out-of-class work, then you will love him. If you don't want to have to read a lot, or do abundant amounts of out of class work, you will hate him.
Brother Williams was such a great teacher. The spirit was always very strong in his class. He is really funny, and the class is very easy, as long as you show up to class. After taking his class, my testimony was strengthened.
He was a great teacher who helped me get an A in the class even though I had some health issues. Most of the test questions come off of the power points in class, so take notes, and mark the scriptures. He's great!
Brother Williams is a great professor! I took his Mission Prep class. We used the Preach My Gospel a ton during the first half of semester, not as much during the second half. I loved his class! Honestly the best hour of my day. He is really passionate about the Gospel and knows his stuff.
Brother Williams is an amazing professor that TRULY cares about you and your life. There are many assignments where you grade yourself which keeps students from worrying about receiving a particular grade, which allows the student to receive truth and light for themselves. He is the most merciful (for valid reasons) and kind professor. -Brooke P
Brother Williams is a nice guy but is not a stellar professor. His tests are relatively easy but they are BASED ON HIS OPINIONS. So basically, you're memorizing his opinions to spit back out onto the test. A bit pointless. I barely learned anything because there was so much reading. Lectures are LONG, and BORING. Contain many tangents.
I would highly recommend Brother Williams! He's one of the best!
MISSION PREP Brother Williams is the greatest guy out there. He has prepared me so much for my mission and I am so grateful for taking this class.
I took mission prep with Bro Williams, and while he's a great teacher I felt like it was a very beginner course. We basically read Preach My Gospel the whole time, so I would recommend anyone who has read it before to look for a different teacher because that's all we did. Daily assignments, and tests are easy if you look at the power points.
He is the funniest teacher and he is really inspiring. I love his lectures and the time goes by really fast. If you talk to him he will work with you.
BUSY WORK! Million hour projects! Tests, quizzes, readings, and really long write ups. Took more time to do than most of my major classes. Wouldnt reccomend!!
I really like Brother Williams! He has dorky sense of humor that makes the class fun. Since this class is technically a hybrid & you meet only on Fridays, the homework for this class is all online and you don't do much in class except listen to the group presentations that you sign up for at the beginning of the semester. Attendance is mandatory.
Brother Williams is amazing! I loved his mission prep class! The study guides were exactly what you needed to know for the tests and there are only 3. Super easy A! I was never bored in class and the Spirit was so strong every day in class! He has such a cute old man sense of humor too which always made me smile, even when I was in a bad mood.
Brother Williams' class was one of the easiest classes I have ever taken. It's easy to get full credit for all of his assignments, and all in all is super easy. Taught me the topic of the class, too. Great class.
I just didn't get anything out of this class. Maybe that's my own fault, but I felt that everything was either dumbed down to much or based too much on Bro William's own opinion. I didn't learn a single new thing in this class, and the amount of busy work outside of class is kinda ridiculous. He's a great guy, but I didn't learn from him.
Brother Williams was by far my favorite teacher. He is amazing and has helped me build my testimony stronger because he has such an amazing experience in this church. There is a lot of work more than any religion class i've ever taken, but I would do this class over and over again. Attendance is mandatory but you will want to go anyways.
I took him for Book of Mormon and Mission Prep. Read the Book of Mormon in a month. Learned a ton. Nine years later I still remember some of his lectures. Awesome prof!
Brother Williams is AMAZING! In this semester, I have learned so much about the gospel from him! If you ever need a religion professor, I would HIGHLY recommend him. He will change your world for the better. One note, if you miss class 3 times, your grade will be down an entire letter grade. However, he does give you a chance to redeem yourself.
He is a great guy and has an awesome sense of humor but he lacks the ability to be clear. He tends to go off topic super easy and never actually gets to the lesson. I guess for some people that would be good but it makes it hard when it comes time to do assignments.
Brother Williams cares about all of his students. He is always willing to give credit for late assignments, and wants everyone to pass his class. Attendance policy is tight. Awesome, inspirational lectures for Mission Prep. Likes to crack jokes often and make the class laugh. Easy class to pass, just keep up with HW. Strong Spirit in his classes.
HYBRID CLASS: one class a week+online Great class on the living apostles. He teaches this class very well and is very lenient on homework and presentation scheduling. Knows his stuff and loves his students. Very quirky personality, and enjoyable teacher overall. This was my second class with him, and I am taking a third. TotLP is an awesome class.
He's a good guy but his classes seem pretty pointless. He likes to tell stories and make jokes which tend to go overboard some times. There have been a couple classes where he just tells stories and then with about ten minutes to go he dives into the lesson. Then when we dives into the lesson he is all over the place. It's an Easy A.
HYBRID CLASS: I was worried that having BOM being a hybrid class that I wouldn't learn very much and would waste time in class but it worked very well. I really liked this class because Bro Williams is such a great teacher. He gave great examples and explained the scriptures in a way that was easy to understand them and apply them into my life.
I enjoyed his class a lot. He had some class interaction, but I wasn't uncomfortable and he told us exactly how the assignments and tests were going to be which helped me prepare for them and get a good grade. Highly recommended.
If you aren't sure about serving a mission, TAKE HIS MISSION PREP CLASS! He is seriously so amazing. He is so real and really speaks through the spirit. I get something from his class every time. He truly cares about his students as well. He loves going off topic but his stories are phenomenal, so it's worth it. "Celebrations"(tests) are easy too.
I took brother Williams for mission prep. I absolutely loved his class. I felt like he gave such great perspective and truly cared about preparing me for a mission. 10/10 would take again.
I took Brother Williams for both Teachings of the Book of Mormon and Mission Prep. I loved him so much! He tells amazing stories and always brings the Spirit. He had some really neat insights into the gospel. After taking his classes, I felt like I was much more prepared to serve a mission and had a greater testimony of the Book of Mormon!
I love his class. There is a group project and reading for every class. He gives points for attendance so you must go to class. But overall is a great class, very inspirational and he is very nice and cares for his students. He is very flexible and easy to talk.
Brother Williams is amazing! I took this class as a hybrid (Online and in class), we met every Tuesday, which was nice prep for Devo. He is incredibly in tune to the spirit but he also has a great sense of dry humor which adds depth to his way of teaching. The online curriculum isn't particularly enjoyable, so take him in class.
A very good professor, and encourages you get into the class and the material. He often rambles though. Some of the things he taught us were very interesting to learn about.
Brother Williams is a good teacher, but he gets off track quite often. Not a bad choice to take a class from though! I'd recommend it.
Brother Williams is a gem. He cares so much for his classes and is such an amazing teacher. I loved listening to him teach and loved all of the advice and insights he gave. He genuinely cares about his students and wants you to succeed. If you're not a scrub and just do the homework, you'll be fine in his class.
Take Brother Williams! The work that was given for this course was easy and I learned so much more about religion. There was a lot of writing but non of it I felt was busy work. He was also super understanding of any technical problems or if there was any logical reason for missing an assignment. EASY A IF YOU DO EVERYTHING!!
This class helped me to learn and actually apply it to my own life. The teacher was funny and he always tells stories. The work load is easy. But you get graded by very few things. But he is a great teacher, I would take him again!!
I took Brother Williams for both Mission Prep and Teachings of the Living Prophets and he is hilarious! He really cares about his students and it's very clear he loves the Lord. Homework in Mission Prep was just reading from PMG but Living Prophets homework was a much bigger workload.
I took Brother Williams' Mission Prep class and it is my absolute favorite class here. He makes the class fun and exciting. You learn a lot of doctrine and how to become the best missionary possible. He is very willing to help and talk with you about anything. 10/10 recommend
Great teacher to lean from. Listen in class and you pass. The homework is easy. Don't take the 7:45 class btw
The class was a hybrid, so there was a lot of online work but it evened out considering we only met an hour each week. Your preparation is what determines what you learn in the class. Brother Williams was super sweet, he just has such a joy for life and it shows in his teaching!
He was a wonderful teacher! He kept the spirit strong in the class, and was willing to work with his student.
Brother Williams tells inspiring stories, makes jokes (very dry sense of humor), and cares about his students. If you pay attention and take notes in class, you'll do great on the exams! The only downside to this class is that you are required to report hours spent reading (5 hours a week).
I've taken lots of mission prep classes from my wards, stakes, and seminary institutions but no-one comes close to Brother Williams. He does a really good job helping you learn more in depth parts of missions while still making sure you understand the overall most important basics. He teaches by the Spirit, and isn't judgmental, and shows love.
NO BETTER TEACHER ON CAMPUS!!!
Hes super nice, but I took this as a hybrid class (they dont teach it anymore) and it was sooo boring. Hes lecture heaving and the only participation in class is reading something out loud. He likes to joke a lot and is really slow getting to the lesson so hes always cramming at the end. Tests had information that we hadnt finished studying.
I took brother williams for Mission Prep and loved him. He is an awesome guy and really cares about his students. As long as you come to class and do the work you will get a good grade, there is a good amount of busy work but It was good information and you are graded on completion. He loves to tell stories and will get off topic, but overall great
I have mixed feelings with Brother Williams. He is very caring and sometimes hilarious but his teachings are so shallow. You have to do a lot of reading before class but the 3 exams you do are very easy. My biggest complaint is that his lessons are shallow and a bit monologue. I imagine that his other classes are good but NOT his mission prep one.
Brother Williams is great! He gives tons of extra credit. I literally passed the class with over 110% because of the easy assignments and extra credit oppurtunities. He is super funny and nice, too. Attendance is a bit part of the class, but so is being a missionary in general:)
Could not say enough good things about Bro. Williams! His lectures are amazing and you will get so much out of them if you pay attention and participate. He is so caring, thoughtful, goofy, and genuinely wants all of his students to succeed. If you want to really prepare for a mission, he's your guy.
Brother Williams is amazing!! His lectures are so great, and you will learn so much from him! He is great at involving the class and keeping everyone engaged, and is so knowledgeable about the gospel! His lectures are led by the spirit, and any question you ask him he knows the answer to. He is seriously amazing!! Definitely recommend his class!!!
Brother Williams is a real swell guy. He taught my missionary prep class and I feel much better suited for the mission field now. He can also be funny at times, and will give you every opportunity to turn in work and raise your grade. If you fail this class, it's probably going to be your fault, and almost definitely not Brother Williams'.
Great teacher, he really cares about you and wants you to get an A. The first half of the semester is more difficult as you have more quizzes and reading then, but that lightens up the second half.
He gives at least 2 hours of homework a week and is always willing to give extra credit. The only reason you won't get an A in this class is if you don't try.
You will never meet someone as caring, inspiring, or wholesome as Brother Williams. He is one of the sweetest people I have ever met. I learned so much from him! His lessons have helped me prepare for a mission in a way I couldn't have prepared myself. Brother Williams is a great guy with fabulous dad jokes.
I learned absolutely nothing about the restoration. This guy gets off topic so easy and half the time it isnt relevant. His homework is extremely easy and you can blow past it by saying you did it when in reality you just checked off the right boxes. He is also extremely redundant. Take if you want an easy A but but not if you wanna learn.
Great guy, but puts on a HEAVY workload for a religion class. Religion classes should relieve stress, not add too it. It felt like most of the assignments were just designed to be busy work to keep us spending 6-8 hours a week on the class.
Bro Williams is such a nice guy, but I didn't learn very much in his class. He tends to repeat himself, and talk about random things. We usually didn't have class discussions. The homework wasn't too bad, and I actually liked the assignments. We got to create and teach lessons to others, so that was fun. He let us take tests as a class.
The easiest class I have ever taken in my schooling career. Professor Williams is a caring individual that loves the gospel and does a great job teaching it. You yourself grade yourself on almost all your major assignments and you also do exams in class so everyone gets a A. Make sure to go to class, you will fail if you don't.
Brother Williams is great! He is active in the course, gives good feedback is very willing to work with you. His grading is more than fair. Don't fall behind on the capstone practicum, do a little each day! Pick topics you care about. He will give you pointers in the announcements so read those too.
Brother Williams is a great Professor! he has a really big heart and he is passionate about the apostles. highly recommend this guy
The amount of writing in this class is insane. I echo what someone else said, religion classes are supposed to relieve stress, not add to it. I swear, sometimes these religion professors act like their class is the most important one you're taking when in reality it's the most irrelevant one because it has nothing to do with your major.
Williams does a good job with his feedback and inspiring to students.
Brother Williams was a very caring professor. He always helped when you needed something. His lectures did drag on a little but other than that it was great!
Good teacher, quizzes are easy and open book. TONS of writing and essays and readings. You study two apostles a week and read their biographies and testimonies then write 150 essays on each of those things. Then read four talks total and write 250 words on each talk. So not hard, just busy. Also Capstone project is a big long project.
I absolutely LOVED Brother Williams! Not only did I really learn a lot and appreciate the lessons that he gave but he kept the class engaged. Whether that was with stories to relate to what he was talking about, jokes or just examples! He really strived to make everyone feel welcomed, loved and like they were going to get the best out of the class
Ok so he has a high rating because it's so easy to get an A in his class. But this professor doesn't teach at all. He makes the students teach the students. It was by far the worst class I've ever taken. It was so hard for me to go to class after the first 3 presentations. I didn't pay for college to get taught by a bunch of college students.
The course itself is a great and informative course. I would take it again, but with a different instructor. He's got ton of writing but not articulating...he tells you, not teaches you. His announcements are the worst, but you can see he has a passion for the subject, it just doesn't translate very well. Start on the capstone practicum early.
Brother Williams is a nice guy but shares a lot of stories in class. Some of them are really good, but I feel like we don't talk about the principles and doctrine very much. The homework is easy but there is sometimes a lot and it can get mundane after a while. He also gives A TON of extra credit. I think I ended up with like 110% without trying.
Bro Williams is amazing!!!
Brother Williams is a great professor who keeps the class engaged. While he talks a lot, his stories connect well to the material. The homework is easy, and Unstuck study was a helpful study tool alongside the free textbook.
I really liked this class! Bro williams is so funny and he really does care about all of his students. There is quite a bit of homework, but it is all very easy. I got an A in this class no problem. He cancels class once every other week so he can meet with students that are struggling which is really nice, Highly recommend!
I really want to love Brother William's teaching style BUT it's too relaxed, often tangent-filled, and doesn't cover enough detail to where you leave class saying "I learned something powerful today." He is incredibly well-meaning but we get off into the weeds almost daily. It is rather unfortunate.
Don't get me wrong, he's a great guy BUT his class is totally just filler work. I go into class, scroll for an hour then leave. His teaching is just very easy to tune out. Its a really easy A if you're looking for an easier religious class but the homework is unbearable. Its hours of reading if you actually take the homework seriously.
The topics were good, but he had ADHD and often strayed off-topic. He sometimes shared false doctrine about personal revelation. He was a former bishop and shared stories—including names—that should never be disclosed. The homework is excessive for how few points it's worth.
This is the worst religion teach I have had. I would have had a much more spiritual experience had I just done personal study for an hour. At day two of class, no information was new, he repeated every class. We had a clock that was broken and every class he would say "Look at the time" and try making a joke about it, every single day.
He is a nice guy, but there was way too much homework for a religion class. Super easy A if you do the work, but learned nothing in this class; he taught some strange doctrine and not much about the Book of Mormon. Just a little bit of a strange guy, he made some interesting comments for sure. Also, he always went over time.
Brother Williams is the best! He helps all his students and has a lot of opportunities for extra credit! He teaches what he believes and he helped me prepare for my mission so so much!
