He really gets you to think about the material you are writing. His essays are pretty tough, since you need to choose your references and how you go about your thesis wisely. Overall, he's a very good English teacher and doesn't load you down with homework!

Very depressed but cool

One good thing about the class is that he goes in depth about everything you read that way you understand everything. He's a little strange in the sense that he's interested in topics about sex, masochism, and identity. Class is easy but wouldn't really recommend him.

Cecere is a funny, nice easy-going guy. He's very helpful. Also, he's very in-depth with everything he goes over. I highly recommend him.

Take him if you want an interesting class

STRANGE COOKIE! But I loved his sense of humor. He is hard on grading papers but will allow you to turn in your work early so he can go over it and help you get an A. DO NOT take this class if you always run late into class. He will string you up by the.....toes. I enjoyed the class and now have a ****ed interest in litarature.

Very intresting teacher make you think deepin to what is really going on, he draws out of the normal box and make, NO lets you understand things from a diffrent propective of the world and precepion we live in. take him he a good teacher to take.

Prof. Cecere is great! Although the readings are some what difficult, he is easy on grading, and more than fair on how long you have to complete the assignments. I would highly recommend this professor to you.

I really liked this teacher! He is my favorite english teacher. He makes everything so interesting. He is very funny. You have to do 5 essays for the whole semester. There is no homework or tests. He lets you out early too. If you have questions he is always there to help. Take him!!

I would definately recommend this teacher. Yes it is a hard class and YES you'll have to write many essays--it's a literature class!! But the prof. answers any questions you have and there are no tests or quizzes, just the essays. As long as you follow the directions, you'll ace the class just like I did.

Took his class online.. not to bad..5 essays in total. His explantion of the essay topics are decent.. but his responce to email IS NOT PROMPT so make sure you email him ASAP if you have a question or want your paper reviewed. If you need someone to hold your hand.. dont take his online class. But overall it is easy..

Okay guy, I took the class over the summer, you wrote like 4 paper's and do a presentation in a group and your done, if you give a crap about the paper you should get an A.

Easy A folks. He's not the most helpful teacher with his feedback, but if you ask him to clarify, he will. Only grades are 5 essays (one being a research paper). Put forth a little effort and spend enough time on your papers and I think he is more flexible. Like I said, there are only 5 assignments. I would recommend this professor.

I think he was great. He reads all literature - you didn't have to participate he told us what literature he would be using for test. If you read it you knew the answer, if not - you were screwed. We had like 5 essays with 3 quest.each -nothing long & tedious. The 2 research papers for 3000 words was ok. Stressful, but we could email him for help-

He is difficult is some respects because he's looking for some specific, he just wants you to make a good argument and support it. He loves strong opinions and he always gives you feedback on your papers, you just need to take his criticisms because it honesty makes you a best writer.

This online class seemed difficult at first, yet if you get into a good routine and do a little work each night, you will excel. The Professor was extremely helpful, and graded very fairly. I would take another one of his classes if I needed to.

I don't know why everyone is giving him such bad ratings. Yes, there is lots of work,but he grades extremely easy. I enjoyed this class a lot.

A LOT LOT LOT of work. Like the most work ever. Interesting and pretty easy grading though. Don't take this unless you have the time to write long papers and discussions every week, or you won't succeed.

This prof has a lot of bad reviews, but he was very good! I took this class on-line, he does require a lot of discussions, so be prepared - the 1st week is the worst! He grades very fairly, as long as you attempt to do the work. DON'T wait until the day before work is due to try to get it all done - you can't! Use his notes for help on the quizzes.

He was a great teacher. He would talk for 10 minutes then we would be able leave. We would get assignments to write essays and he would correct them and help us.

This is the best class. He talks about the essay assignment for about 10 minutes and you can leave. He honestly doesn't care if u show up for attendance and leave. He revises your essays before due. And he doesn't like kiss ups

While some say this class is hard, those are the people who never made it out of palm beach state. This class was so easy, he laid it all out in the syllabus. He was also very left politically and those speeches were worth the price of admission. His world view is comical, but hey you have to have both sides right?

Organized, Helpful (but probably won't return your emails), Easy class. He gives only 6 assignments in this whole course: All essays, 4 of which are each 15%, and 2 20%'s. That's all. I pretty showed up just to turn in my work. But I'm probably gonna end up with a high B because of carelessness i.e: citations.

Lectures are indeed long but they are useful and interesting. Great professor with a lot of creative ways of teaching and relating literature to important events.

He gives really interesting lectures. I am a dual enrollment student and found it super easy. Summer session--- only had to write 5 papers, and he gave me an A on all of them. Not a lot of time to write your papers, and theyre were some really dry topics. Overall a really easy class, I've recommended him to multiple friends.

Mr. Cecere is a good & open minded professor . Expect only a handful of drafts (optional) & essays, only need the book if you have a hard time with grammar & writing essays, he focuses mainly on writing in MLA Format correctly & citing correctly, for help & questions ask in person, classes can be short, can turn in essays online & grades are posted

Lecture are long but they are helpful, focus on citation , grammar, and formatting for APA or MLA. As long as you go to to the writing lab and follow the essay instructions you'll be fine. Better to ask questions in person only 3 essay and 2 group projects.

Easy Professor, straightforward with three essays and two group projects. Dont have to show up after essays are done. The end of the class a piece of cake, just communicate with group members and ask questions.

Attending the class wasn't really necessary, only assigned 6 papers for the entire semester with no final exam. Honestly one of the funniest professors I've had, I loved his class.

This dude is the coolest english professor ever. We had a total of 6 essays in his class, as long as you write properly, and don't show up to late 45 minutes every class you will do fine. He is really picky about grammar, and citations, but you are allowed to resubmit every essay as many times as need be. He is hilarious too. 3

I thought Cecere was a great professor. He is very intelligent and had fascinating lectures. He is a bit picky with citations and grammar, but he lets you submit your paper as many times as you want up until the due date.

Great professor. lectures are both entertaining and thought-provoking. only grades are essays, usually one a week. is able to break down controversial and tough topics into palatable chunks. is very clear with grading criteria and what is expected and accepted. would recommend and take again.

Aweome teacher. If English is not your strongest subject, then don't take him. But, he is clear with what he wants. He is very helpful and will always give you feedback.

3 papers for the whole class, along with group projects; gives you multiple chances to improve your paper before submitting it for a final grade. Lectures were average, not too long. Didn't need a book. Very lenient on attendance, but do have your papers in before 11:59 the day its due. Oh yeah he's extremely blunt, & very outspoken!

These comments are wild - lol. Professor Cecere is a dope instructor. If you don't pass his class, it is probably because you are lazy, don't show up to class and don't utilize the writing lab. And honestly to pass his class you may not need all of that. He wants a good paper, he also checks it as much as you send it in and give feedback.

only showed up to 3 classes the whole semester and passed with a 88% all he said is make sure you do your essays and submit them on time and you will be fine. he lets you submit the essays before the due date and will give it the grade he thinks it deserves and will let you correct what he marked wrong to fix your grade to resubmit on the due date.

I had his 8am class and he would only talk for a few minutes to explain the homework and then leave the call open so students could ask him questions as they worked on the assignments. VERY FAST GRADER. he lets you turn in the assignments multiple times to get a better grade. He answers emails fast and gives good feedback on how to improve yourself

First professor I ever had at Palm Beach State and I loved the experience. This professor has great humor and gives excellent feedback on essays. He didn't require that we come to class and allowed us to work from home or wherever we felt most comfortable.
