He is an awesome teacher ! He engages the class in conversation which make lecture fun and interesting.He is also very cool a laid back type of guy I defiantly recommend him.

One of the easiest teachers you will ever take at Mt. Sac. Don't even think, just take him if he is available. He is engaging and discusses current issues. It's pretty hard to fail his class. He is helpful towards his students and returns e-mails as quick as possible. Just take him and you will see what I mean.

Best English Professor! Seriously. He's really helpful, always there to give you ideas on papers. You can email him your paper before it's due and he'll help you. Give you pointers and tell you what mistakes he finds. He's extremely nice, he makes everything really easy. He grades pretty easily on everything. Do the work, and you'll pass. FUN!

Prof. Chandler is one of the best instructors I have ever had. You CAN NOT go wrong if you choose to take his class. You will have fun and learn in a comfortable environment. The best part is class participation, its practically a requirement, but he doesn't make it awkward. Its a lot of fun and you will enjoy it.

I took Chandler in the Fall of 2012. I adore him! I recommend you take advantage of the class time. He grades on critical thought more, but still focuses on grammar. Greg's prob 1 of the greatest professors @ MSac. Took Eng1A & it's def. preparing me for Crtcal Thkng. I chose an easiness of 3 because the input is the result of your output. The wrkload is steady, a lot of reading, but it's interesting. His class demands your creativity & if you have none it will def bring it out. TAKE HIM-you will not regret it

This prof. is super super easy. If you have the chance to take his class, DO IT. He may grade kinda hard but he let's you let him look at your essay before you turn it in so you can get a better grade. The book is well over $120. but oh well. chillest engl prof ive had yet..

HE IS THE BEST ENGLISH TEACHER. his class is very easy and is not stressful. you have to read short stories and write in your journal about them. He assigns 2 essays and one 2 in class essays for the midterm and final. He is easy going and wants his students to open up their minds.

Professor Chandler is the best professor ever in Mt. SAC. He respects students. He gives 4 papers and two of them are in class essay. However, he cancels the final. SO you only have to do 3 now. He is a easy grader. He is always willing to help. I'm transferring this year. I wish I could have some professors like him.

I am WOWed by this Professor. I can only say that he was the best professor I have ever met in my entire life. Lectures and papers are based on reading. He is extremely supportive and motivation. Very interactive class, and the class felt more like sociology, philosophy, speech all combined, really got me thinking. MUST TAKE if you had chance!!!

I am not an English person, but Chandler definitely made English easier for me. He is extremely open-minded when it comes to people's writing styles. He is also always there to help students. He made the grading criteria clear, was an easy grader, and didn't assign a lot of homework. I enjoyed his class and would definitely recommend him!

Uses the best examples that are current during lectures. Seriously the most amazing professor at sac you have got to take his class.

Chandler is honestly one of the best professors I've ever had. He embodies everything a teacher should be, he's always stays well after class time to give students encouragement and help and hes so approachable that there would be a line after class to talk to him. I took Prof. Chandler for Creative Writing. He is so patient with students who have difficulty putting their thoughts into words. He dresses super hippy and that just adds to his laid back attitude. He gives great feedback about your writing and expect to share what you write. He said it was just like grad school, where one gathers around peers.

Chandler is a GREAT professor! He truly cares about his students and only wants to see you do good. He always motivates you. You do have to read and do work out of the book, but it's not that difficult. Essay's were also not that difficult because he lets you do it on a topic of YOUR choice. DO THE WORK and you WILL pass!

Amazing English professor, his style of teaching class is very laid back and he brings a welcoming vibe to class. His lectures make you understand how to approach an essay from the counter argument point of view which is what 1C is all about. He offers suggestions about how to fix and make your essays better to make you a better writer.

Makes you answer questions on the essays we read which is helpful because our essays are based on the readings and by answering the questions we can use our answers in our essays. He helps as much as he can to make sure you understand the readings and helps you with your essays.

Nice/Interesting class. Pretty much every class he'll assign a reading and you'll go over it in the next scheduled class. He grades on "participation" in the sense that if you know / at least sound like you know what you're talking about you're more likely to receive a good grade on the essays (he dings you off for grammar mistakes as well).

We are in groups most of the time to discuss our homework. We had three essays, but he let us choose our topics. He is super helpful, so do not be afraid to ask for help when needed.

professor chandler is an amazing english professor. his class does require the use of "textbooks" they are novels but they are pretty interesting reads. he cares to hear your takes on the books and goes around the class asking everyone what they are thinking of writing about for the essays. i recommend his class even if you aren't a fan of english.

Best professor I will EVER take. Readings are great, your final grade is how your essay writing skills are at the end of the semester . He doesn't make you feel bad about your essays or critique heavy like most professors. He's simply the best that there is . His classes were always enjoyable. Take him!!

English is not my best subject, and I don't like to read, but he makes everything so easy. You do read a lot, and do have homework every time, but its just answering questions from the reading. Like what's the big picture. what does this mean, etc. The questions are also gone over in class. He also makes it very easy to write your papers.

oh hes really nice. his class takes things really slowly because theres not a whole lot of material to cover, but its very interactive if you want it to be. youre going to be doing a lot of group discussions, so maybe go into this class looking to make friends or take it with some friends.

He was such an inspirational professor. He always seemed to love my essays, and gave really good, honest feedback so you can improve. He even recommended me to join the honors program, which really made me happy that he truly had faith in me. He is definitely one of the best professors you could ever have, and I highly recommend taking him!

I had him in class and online. He's very fair in regards to deadlines and assignments. His dedication to students is just remarkable, he has never come off as negligent and indifferent as many instructors typically do at some point. You'll do great in the class as long as you try, I absolutely recommend him.

BEST PROFESSOR EVER!!!!! I cannot stress this enough, TAKE HIS CLASS. Personally, I despise English but Mr. Chandler's class made it so much fun and exciting. He was very understanding and barely assigned work (2 or 3 papers and a couple of question assignments on the readings). I took his class in Fall 2020. I would highly recommend this class.

ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS CLASS! Professor Chandler takes the time to give positive feedback on your papers, which were 3 in total throughout the ENTIRE semester. He is super understanding, so if you are looking for a class that is easy and inspiring, definitely take Chandler's class. Nothing but good things to say about him.

You can tell just how sweet Prof Chandler is through his emails. He was always encouraging and CARING. He gave great feedback on essays to improve your writing w/o sounding condemning at all. Also he was more lenient on due dates which was very nice. The books were not my type (some depressing stories), but taking his class was the BEST/WORTH it!
