Professor Conerly is a great lecturer. If you take notes during class and read the book, getting a decent grade should not be hard. Many people may feel they are on the chopping block, but I do not get that same feeling.

He was not accessible outside of class and was very bad at answering any questions. He would just kind of dance around the answer then change the subject. Every assignment had extremely specific instructions yet never gave any details. The class was setup to fail, he makes it extremely hard to pass, let alone get an A.

Class material was not too hard but the way this professor sets up his lectures is awful, he gives no chance to ask questions during his class and when someone does he seems extremely agitated and vast majority of times he does not even answer the question. Does not communicate outside of lectures and extremely snappy.

His classes are practically mandatory because he does not post notes/PowerPoint/lecture notes/key points/figures online, EVERYTHING IS LECTURE! His classes reinforce the feeling that he is there to be paid NOT to make sure you succeed. By attempting to participate in class because others were too intimidated, I was met with unanswered questions ATT

This is the worst professor I had ever had. Get ready to read a lot and long chapters. He is not reasonable at all, does not care about your well-being. The essays are hard and grades them very nit picky. Gives the whole class partial credit on homework. Wish I never took but have to to graduate.

Saying this is the worst professor I've had doesn't do it justice. He was extremely rude to many students throughout the semester. Deflected questions and most times would dance around it without answering. Can't access him outside of class and he absolutely sucks at lecturing. He doesn't have any of what teaches in a PowerPoint or anywhere online.

He is probably one of the worst professors at CSU I have never seen a person so nitpicky when I'm trying to turn ina an assignment and he gets back hours just to tell me I didn't submit it in the right format(AKA the format he wants) he still can access the paper just refuses to grade it I'm in his AST 216 class

I'm a freshman and having him as a teacher is awful I don't feel comfortable asking questions because he always seems irritated when someone does and if he feels like the question isn't up to his standards he'd just say " ummmmmmm" then continue to what he was saying also he's an awful lecturer it's 5 things on the board and the rest is him talking

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. powerpoints are mostly just images, it's 100% verbal lecture, will not slow down when asked to. very condescending and rude when asked to reclarify and will not answer questions. shouts "UM" and "SO" maybe every 5 seconds. nothing is posted online. take good notes and write fast or you're out of luck. took this class spring 23.

Show up to class and take very good notes (I wrote down a majority of what he said) and study. 3 MC tests were easy to me. He grades the 2 essays harshly (with his own grading system) in my opinion (you need the books for the essays). Says "uhh" and "uhm" a lot. First essay wasn't bad, but the prompts for essay 2 weren't as good.

This class is primarily discussion based, with a heavy emphasis on participation points. I will say we had some good discussions, but he is pretty passive aggressive and condescending if you ask any questions related to the material or an assignment. He is an extremely tough grader and does so pretty arbitrarily.

Professor Conerly receives bad feedback, however, he was a great professor. Many of the complaints in my opinion, come from lack of note taking. He is very clear in everything he lectures about, and his tests follow his lectures almost exactly. His class is not very difficult if you pay attention. His essays are hard, but he gives his rubric out.

Lecture is super heavy, he clearly does not pity for people that do not take notes. He lectures very long and hard to keep up with. His grading is somewhat absurd, just asking him or another student for a pencil prior to exams points will be taken off. Would recommend you take a different class, only take this class if absolutely necessary.

First year of CSU, and he is the worst professor I've had. Lectures last the entire class and are nothing more than rambling interrupted by loud “Uhms” and “So”. He Grades extremely harshly and even when you follow the rubric he'll grade however he wants and most times you'll be penalized. Also very rude to students and is clearly there to get paid

HIS 215 and 112. I honestly did not want to leave this review, since part of me sympathized with him at first, since I plan to be a future teacher. Though I feel it's important to warn future students not to set foot in his classroom. He is disrespectful to students, and it was once dead silent in the room for NINE minutes. Run, please :(

A short story from a previous review, a middle-aged woman walked into his classroom for under 10 seconds to grab her purse that she left in the last class, and he then let out a startling "OUT!". He tried participation this year and will look around the room, waiting for nearly 10 minutes in silence. 3 years of college, the worst. Angry and sad.

It has been two years since I have taken a class with this man and it still haunts me. If given the opportunity, he will humiliate you in front of the class for his own pleasure. He will watch you struggle just for fun. I think CSU couldn't afford a new professor, so they summoned a demon instead.
