He taught in a way that it was easy to understand difficult equations (for someone who sucks at math) I was able to understand the why and how to solve the equations. I had Professor Gibson for Psych 2 which was an alternative class for Stats,I failed 2x. Professor Gibson made class enjoyable. When lecturing he simplifies everything in a way that you're able to understand & if you don't he will take the time to explain it. His workload wasn't too much, but you have to put in the time and work to pass his class.

If you need to take Psych 2, take Professor Gibson! He is one of the best professors in SJDC and it was easiest class I have ever taken. I started statistics on campus, because I need that in person experience. The coronavirus caused all classes to go online. Dr. Gibson is amazing. He made videos, has online chat and zoom sessions, responds to messages right away, makes phone calls, and is amazing. I could not have passed statistics without him and especially not online.

Most of my professors are AWOL, but Gibson has posted videos, does regular chat and zoom, and responds to messages right away. Hi everyone. I took Dr. Gibson's Stats class. Now I am in Research, and it's so easy because I had Stats with Dr. Gibson. Because of this whole COVID19 thing, there are professors teaching online that should not be teaching online, but Dr. Gibson has everything laid out so its easy to understand, and he is actually there and involved. I recommend.

There's a lot of information in Research Methods, but Professor Gibson lays everything out, connects the dots, and makes everything make sense.

I missed a couple of assignments. I tested positive for COVID19. And I forgot the due date for one of my projects. Professor Gibson said I could make up the misssing work with my final exam! He encouraged me to keep moving forward. I ended up getting an A in the class. I feel good about what I learned.

This professor made math fun and believe me I have never ever thought math was fun. But he made it fun because I wasn't scared to get things wrong because he made it so we could know if we had the right answers on our projects, and he helped me when I needed it.

Best math professor ever! The testbook is free and online, but he doesn't use it. He has videos that give step by step instructions. I just followed the instructions and each assignment, and got an A. Statistics made simple!

Dr. Gibson is my favorite teacher ever. This was my second class with Dr .Gibson, and he was as helpful in stats as he was in intro to psych. He was quick to help. And he actually knows what hes doing in canvas.

Professor Gibson is by far one of the greatest professors I have had. He is extremely helpful, his lectures are very easy to follow as he teaches at a steady pace and is always open to ask any questions. When emailing him, you will probably receive a response in within the hour. He also explains and helps thoroughly when you ask a question.

Psych 2 there are 5 modules. Sr. Gibson explains everything. I didn't know math and now I have confidence to take more math classes.

Professor Gibson is very patient and kind. He gives real world examples in his lectures. When I asked questions, he explained everything, and I felt smarter. I came a long way in this class, learned a lot, and I feel ready for the rest of my college career.

I was not very good at math, but statistics is add, subtract, multiply, divide, square, and square root. Follow the instructions, step by step, and it's pretty easy. The projects were fun and the sheets prepare students for the tests. I got my first A in math in this class.

Dr. Gibson's Psych 2 class has videos, about ten minutes each (some longer and some shorter). The videos go step by step through the steps that have to be done. There are notes, practice worksheets, and study guides. The class is impossible without the videos, but with the videos, it's an easy A.

Great teacher. I usually hate math but he made it very clear with the video lectures. Usually I watched the videos alongside the project/worksheet and would end up with a B+ or higher grade on them. I would've ended up with an A in this class but I got comfortable and lazy one week and bombed a test. Most important thing is to watch the videos.

The videos were very helpful. They show each step of each process. I'm surprised that I am able to do statistics and understand what I am doing. This was a great class.

I appreciated the online classroom format. All the assignments were very straightforward. Despite math being a difficult subject for me, I felt confident and prepared in this class because I was given all of the information that I needed to be successful.

Dr. Gibson wants you to pass his class. He gives so much material to help you study without you feeling overwhelmed from the amount of information being given. He posts awesome lectures and study guides. Pay attention and listen to the lectures and you will do just fine! Even the projects were easy to navigate. Always answers emails quickly.

He was very well organized and laid out the semester in the first week of class. The lectures provided for the 5 units were well explained. He provides a free version of the textbook (not required), as well as different forms of extra help. The worksheet/exams are clear and easy to complete. One of my favorite professors honestly.

This class is a little bit psychology and a little bit research and a little bit math. The math is actually really cool. Its a string of easy math steps like adding and multiplying. Get an answer and say something like researchers would say. There are videos that show you how to do it, so anyone can do it.

I made it through statistics! I didn't know if I could do it but I passed and I understood it. This was an online class but the lecture videos were very helpful. You can retake the lecture quizzes and they help with the exams. This was a great class and I made it through!

I took him in the Spring 2022, he offers a corequisite course (i believe that's what it is called) that is a survey every week as a check in alongside the main course. He answered his canvas messages relatively quick (could be within same hour to a day or two later), his assignments are easy, make sure to do the projects (they really help)

If you need a math credit and are terrified by math like I was, this is the class you should take! I took it over the summer. He provides all the information in short videos (that yes, I may have had to rewatch to fully get it, but that's okay!) The assignments and tests were easily manageable. Don't be afraid of this class, it was actually fun.

I took professor Gibson for PSYCH 1. I enjoyed the online course and really liked that I didn't need a textbook. He provided all textbook readings and lecture videos. He made the coursework easy to follow and very well organized. He responds to messages fairly quickly (about 24 hours) and offers extra credit if needed. Overall great experience!

I went to this professor's office hours and he totally worked with me and helped me understand everything. He was so helpful and I love how he explains things so I can understand what I am doing. Professor Gibsons class has videos, homework assignments and projects. The projects are interesting and kinda fun. There are even practice assignments and other things to study if you want extra help and if you write to him he seems to write back quickly. This was a fun class and i'm kinda sad that its already over. lol.

The professor has a textbook and it is in the course so you don't have to buy it but he has videos so you don't even have to use the textbook. He goes over everything in these short videos that is on the homework and the test.

Seeing its Math course, I wasn't expecting it to be as simple and easy as it was. Lectures are clear and less than an hr, I never got bored of them. Prof Gibson's teaching technique is amazing, he made it a breeze. Never thought I would say this about math but I had a lot of fun! Final is Optional.Make sure to do the extra credits,its def worth it!

Final is optional, If you choose to do it and get a poor score it will not effect your grade! I didn't do well on one of the exams and the final really helped along with the extra credit. Lectures are in the min not the hrs which doesn't give to much info but just enough. He is responsive. This course was so fun, the projects were my fav!

I took this class at another college and was lost. I took this class at Delta College with Professor Gibson and understood the concepts. Both classes involved projects. At UC, I had no idea if I was doing my projects right until it was too late. At Delta, Professor Gibson has a program so I could LEARN from the projects and understand. Great class!

I was very concerned about taking "statistics" but this class is math that makes sense. The class has videos cover a lot of information but they go nice and slow so my brain was able to keep up. I had to watch some of the videos more than once, but I was able to undersrtand eveything. If you need a math class, take this one.

This is a lifesaver professor! He does things like lets you score your work so you can learn along the way. He has great videos, but you do have to pay attention, but you can rewind if you need to. Also you can talk to him, he responds right away and will works with you.

My counselor recommended this class. Professor Gibson has really helpful animated lecture videos with examples that show students each step that needs to be done for all of the statistical methods. He's very nice, patient and compassionate. He took time to talk to me and help me. I'm so glad my counselor told me about this class.

Dr. Gibson is an OUTSTANDING professor. His lectures and provided resources are very informative for students to help retain as much material as possible. TBH this professor is the best professor or teacher I have ever had in college or highschool. I am dual enrollment and have a lot of class and a lot of homework and this class was much better organized than any of my other classes so I always knew what I needed to do next. Every unit there was new information but I got an A in the class!

Professor Gibson is so positive and supportive and encouraging! I was scared to death to take statistics, but he assured me that I could do it and he answered all of my questions patiently. He explained everything in regular everyday words and I understood everything. I was able to get an A in the class. I give him an A+.

Professor Gibson is a great professor and his lectures are easy to read. He replies to you within an hour (for me) and he gives great tips. He's completely understanding and even gives you two extra days for Unit Worksheets if you're late. But I had to drop out with a "W" for personal family issues. And I would take him again.

I took Dr. Gibsons Psych 2 Introduction to Psychology Stats class online. This is by far the best math class I've ever taken in my life. Minimal assignments per week, everything straight forward, and lots of resources/materials for help. Amazing teacher, I wouldn't recommend anyone else for Statistics.

Dr. Gibson said Psych 2 is a Psychology class and a Math class. Well I learned more about LIFE AND MATH from Psych 2 than I ever expected or knew was even possible! He makes math relevant and interesting. I've never liked Math and now I am so glad I took this class because I plan to use what I learned.

I took for summer and this class was obviously a challenging class because it's Stats, buttttt his videos make it so easy to follow a long and understand the material. Super clear easy to do a step by step. I am terrible at any type of math and I was so proud of myself I could do it. The projects even had help written in to guide you.

Im in high school and struggle in math so I was worried about taking a college math class. Mr. Gibson gave all the steps to do the assignements and wanted us to understand them which made them make sense and made remembering them much easier. If I had to take another math class, I'd pick professor Gibson in a heartbeat. He is AMAZING at explaining, especially when it comes to "scary" formulas. I'm not good at math but I almost passed with a perfect score. I didn't find the project scorer hard to navigate at all. If I had any questions, Prof.G solved them all with an email! Hard to fail.

11/10 professor, he's the best. The final is optional and replaces your lowest exam score. Exams are easy, tons of practice set up. Assignments are max 30 minutes and there are probably like 1-3 a week. The course is practically impossible to fail unless you're desperate. I can 100% say this course will be a breeze & you will genuinely learn!!!

This professor uses Canvas like all professors at Delta College and other colleges but he also Google Sheets to help students get their projects done correctly and that was a huge help for me!

My class was hybrid, so I had lectures in person and assignments online. I personally found his lectures to be really well executed and though I had them in person I think anyone online would also find them just as helpful. He's a really chill guy, and overall, you can just tell that he loves doing this—10/10 professor without a doubt.

I took this professor during Fall 2024. Amazing professor. Lecture videos prepare you for projects and you're able to go back to the videos, slides and notes if you get stuck during a project. Videos provided clear examples for projects. He provides extra support if you need it. Definitely take Professor Gibson you won't regret it.
