Anatomy is a tough class, but this teacher makes it as easy as can be. He's fun and totally cool. I highly recommend him.
teaches by slides...100 slides per chapter...a lot of information to memorize. doesnt really connect information in overal picture. races himself a lot...really conceited cuz he has a IQ of 165. but he gives a lot of extra credit points in tests...hard =(
willing 2 help u learn, must take teacher, laid back in his 30's so u get 2 know kind of guy
Great Professor!! He makes the material seem so much easier than it is! Plus hes really funny and cracks a lot of jokes so u dnt doze off in the lectures. Hes the kind of professor you can be friendz wit.lots of info but if u study ull do great in his class. I recommend u take physio wit him!
an Exellent professor
awesome and totaly kickass. he seriously puts in time and effort
Professor G is the bomb! He makes the subject very interesting. He takes his time with explaining and has an open door policy. He lectures by slides so the most important thing is to study from his notes that are available on his website.
teaches the class very clear, making it very easy for the student to understand.
One of my favorite teachers!!! He is a very smart person and he teaches very well. If you put the time into studying his notes you will do very well in his class. I highly recommend him!!
OH MY GOD !!!! He is the best teacher I have ever had at LACC. He is funny and easy going man. I highly recomend him to everybody. Take him, and you will never regret. Personally, I REALLY LIKE and LOVE him.
Great teacher! I highly recommend him. He is easy going, and even though the subject is very hard itself he makes it seem less harder and fun. A+++++

Great teacher!!! I recommend him to all who wants straight forward teaching...Keep up with the materials and no doubt you will get an A. He offers lots of extra credit to help you out too! Highly recommended.
His class is pretty easy and he gives out tons of extra credit. However, he told us that he might change the way of grading for the following semesters.
Professor G is an excellent professor. He's very clear and willing to go over the concepts if a student doesn't grasp it the first time. The only way a student can fail this class is if they do not put the time & effort in. Everything is in his class manual, nothing comes out of left field, plus he makes lectures so interesting.
He does not a lot of extra credit. It is an not easy class.I took his class 2005 Spring. Only few people got A. he also canceled a class or let us go early because of his personal issue. As a result,he did the lecture too fast to catch up toward the end of the semester.
I like him coz he really teach you what Anatomy is and now Im taking his Physiology class. I hopw I'll pass but all I know is that you have to study esp. that he is a science teacher..good luck but guys I really recommend you to get into his class compare
right now i dont really now how easy his class is.. bcause im taking it right now.. but hey! IM HAVING fun!!! he explains everything CLEARLY and makes it so so interesting!! i love iT!
mr g is a great teacher.....only thing that bugged me was his hair!
Mr. G is a really great teacher. Anatomy is a tuff subject. There is just soooo much to remember; but he tries to break everything down in simpler terms so that you will get it. Mr. G is a very funny teacher and everyone loves his class. Next semester I plan on taking his Physiology class. So I highly recommend everyone interested in this subject..take Mr. G's class.
Wonderfull professor and person.
prof G is not as good as he think he is. He is missing a lot of classes and he doesn't even care how hard it gets for us when we have to learn like 3 lectures in 1 or 2 weeks.
Run for the hills. At any cost. He missed 5 lectures and several labs during my time with him. Yet he expects you to know everything. Avoid at ALL costs. Tests are worded very tricky. Spending hours studying will not help.
The most easy to follow guidelines for studying in the world!! Just memorize, study, and show up to class. Nothing in the test/exams will be a surprise, everything is in the lecture notes!! Warning... dont cheat, not worth it!! Trust me!
Cool teacher..... Funny, strict, and smart. I have loved his class. If you ever plan to take Anat. or Physio., TAKE G. and youll never regret.. THANK YOU, G ;)
these comments are all not true. Even though he may seem he cares, he doesn't!!! Many people did bad in his Psy. class only because of his stupid and hard tests. He seems cool at first, don't be tricked at the end you'll know what will happen when you receive a bad grade on your transcript and never further your career with Biology!!!!!!!!!!!!
G's Physiology tests are based strictly on his lecture notes. You must really learn the material if your goal is to get an A in the class. Don't bother w/ the class if you are not prepared to study your butt off! G is an incredibly smart and gifted teacher but beware of his dorky sense of humor!
WOW I love his dorky jokes, are you kidding, G's really great. Very clear and articulate. Supposedly his class is "super hard" but if you study like you're supposed to youll do fine. On average it takes me 15 minutes to do his tests, he is really good too. Take him.
He is a very funny teacher. He does get off point a lot and you need to keep him on tracked or you'll be cramming towards the end of the semester. He is fair and hard. He expects you to do as well as you would in a hospital setting. I learned a lot. Great teaching attitude.
He is a GREAT teacher! In the begining of the semester he warns the students that you're gonna have to devote about 15 hours a week for this class. He wasn't lying. You need to prepare for the tests and the practicums. Its like taking 2 different classes. The lecture has nothing to do with the lab (most of the time) thats why u have to be devoted!!
Dr. G is cute and very intelligent. He knows his stuff he not easy but cool and manageable. Don't worry study and you'll be fine.
Professor G. is the BEST teacher i had so far at LACC. He is very intelligent, helpful, generous, hot, and has a great sense of humor:) He cares for his students and is always happy to explain or clarify. His tests are straight forward and strictly from his lecture notes, if you study good enough, you will get an A. I enjoyed every minute of his
He knows a lot and wants his students to know. Sometimes he seems very hard but once u are through with the test u will feel better. He made me not only learn but understand stuff. That is the only way to study. I got an A but worked very hard for it.He is great.
So yes, what they say is true...HE IS INDEED A HARD PROFESSOR. But guess what, anatomy and physiology...you know they are going to be very tough subjects to digest to begin with. Well, Mr. G makes the digestion possible. The "Pepto-Bismol" of anatomy and physiology...? Corny, yes, but wait until you experience Mr. G's corny-ness too. :)
He is a good teacher. i wish i had more class to take that he teaches. I will recommend him any day.
I have taken him for anatomy and currently taking him for physiology. He's a great teacher that will teach you the material in a very understandable way. He's not too hard in my opinion since he offers a lot of extra credit opportunities. You can fail 1 or 2 of his exams and still end up getting an A in the class.
He's very straight forward, clear, and concise. His tests come straight from his notes. Sometimes he falls behind in his lectures but you can always read ahead in his notes because he gives them to you online. You'll have a hard time finding a better prof for anatomy. Definately take him if he teaches this clas again.
I got my "A" by purchasing the course outline & writing lecture comments (word for word). Superb lectures, very clear & complement the exams. I did not buy the text. Lab homework & assignments will show up on tests (i.e., therapeutic reference ranges). Prof commands an impressive knowledge of physiology with the ability to teach. Highly recommended
horrible teacher, even if u get an A, u dont learn anything.
maybe cuz this guy below me didnt study at all. i learned just from sitting in his lectures but you do need to study like every other science class! only difference is he actually cuts you some slack. theres lots of memorization but he offers lots of opportunities to make up a bombed test or two. hes very informative and detailed when explaining :)
very helpful..give lots of extra credits.
he doesn't teach anything. but during the finals gives 1 minute test and doesn't pass most of the students.
He's a very funny teacher. Not very punctual but hey, he's the head of the department. its a good idea to record his lessons, he's goes over some things fast. i enjoyed his class very much. he gives a lot of extra credit:D
He's a very informative & honest teacher & it doesn't hurt that he's CUTE...that's a bonus for me.. : ). It's a hard class & he doesn't sugar coat it for people, if u can't dedicate time 4 studing then your going to drown in all the info. Recording the lectures is a MUST & do the extra credit questions in the LAB book it will help a lot in the end.
He's very fair, very strict. big on following instructions. offers lots of extra credit BUT YOU BETTER FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS. tests are challenging but not if you study. lectures are not boring, he's a good teacher - doesn't appear to be there just for the paycheck. he's not into helping people who don't try their hardest. i'd take the class again.
Funny guy...He alwways tries to explain better to help students. Gives lots of extra credits.
I had a bad experience with this teacher. He yelled at students a lot and expected too much, in my opinion. When I told him I was worried about my grade he said not to worry and then he didn't pass me. I studied so much and it didn't pay off at all.
the person below is just bitter because they failed and it's probably because they didn't put in the work required for the class. he never yelled unless he was joking with the class. he's got a great attitude towards his students. i enjoyed his lectures and studied my ass off for my grade but he helped out a lot. stop crying and study next time.
He uses a lot of analogies. He's a good teacher but he's always always always always LATE. I dont mean like 10 mins late..like 30-46mins. It sucks because our test get pushed back and he has to rush the lectures and the tests to finish. Overall thats the only thing thats bad about him. But besides that he's a good teacher.
Excellent teacher, super smart, excellent promotion to chair of the whole department. He is a lot of fun. His lectures are super entertaining. Explains concepts with lots of details. Very knowledgeable. He loves teaching! He even helped me with my chemistry and math classes a couple of times.
He likes to explain in details. He always gives extra credit in all his tests and quizes. And he gives points for just being in the class.
omg this professor does not know how to prioritize his time. for the last two tests (which have been on mondays), he will go over 3-4 CHAPTERS in two class meetings and expect you to know the material for the following monday's test. The final is ridiculous. He went over 7 chapters in the course of a class, 3-hour lab and a 4.5 hour final review!!
It is true that we ran out of time. But for those who tried to understand the concepts and were able to apply them, the last few weeks of material (over 2 day period!) was very easy to comprehend. All you need is common sense and concept mastery.****, I did well and took micro and others at the same time! He's very helpful and good at explaining.
Yeah this guy isn't the best at budgeting time but the class was just too slow at "getting it". He slowed down for the majority that was just not up to par until we ran out of time. Thats generous and helpful and he is a good teacher but it does kinda turn some material into crammer rather than learning. Although important concepts I'll remember!
He is the most articulate professor I've ever had. He has an analogy to every concept and makes it easy to understand. The exams are very straight forward and easy only for those who memorize ALL the notes. The cumulative final covers too much material with way too many details.
This is one of the best professor I've ever had, I probably failed my class, but I know it was my fault. he is great and I would for sure take this class with him, if I have to repeat the class. I wish I would have the time requiered for the course. All you have to do is read his lectures notes and you should be okay.. I always did it last minute
He is cool, although most of the time i get bored on his class,.. i try really hard to pay attention but i always end up being lost in the discussion.. BUT I GOT GOOD GRADES.. u just really have to read his materials, you can even skip class and have good grades as long as you review for the quizzes..but dont skip coz he give extra 100 points
Department Chair of Life science. Very energetic and cool! Very nice guy... Cute too! Mixed Indian, Black, Latino... Helps students very much. tapes his lectures and post it on his website! Always sitting on top of his table. Talks too much though... Kinda boring lectures and always late...
Smartest guy I have ever met. His knowledge of physiology is second to none and he uses this a LOT of analogies for those that don't have science minds. Tests are not too hard and offers tons of supplemental work to boost your grade. Even if you average Bs on all your exams, if you do all the other work well, you will easily get an A
Take his class. He made the class interesting. Like to make a speech and motivate his students. He care about his students. He is like a teacher from your highschool that would not stop encouraging you. Rarely you will find a teacher like him!! TAKE HIM!
He is very good and funny! He is not talking loud enough, so some students had dificulties to hear him. He is giving match or multiple choice questions on the test and plus extra credits questions. Take his class!
I really liked this prof. Class is a lot of a lot of work but he pretty much tells you what to do in order to get an A & he also offers a ton of extra credit. He's very knowledgeable & very nice. He has an agenda toward teaching his students how to think analytically, so sometimes he moves slowly to get a point across & other times he has to rush.
Overrated teacher!Very painfull to listen at times. His "lecture" consist of...30 minute late from his own lecture; 30 minute of motivational speeches, and an hour of discovery channel summary he just watched during the weekend.
Took him for Anat & Physio. He was an awesome teacher who explained things clearly! He is touch in teaching but offers many extra credit opportunities - do it. You will learn alot and he seems to love his job; he is full of inthusiam. I have no complaints - I deserved my grades &he prepared me for the my first semester of Nursing Program.
Recommended! Very funny professor!
I personally disliked his teaching style. I understand teaching us to be analytical, but to get fixated on one topic for an hour or so is excessive. He is late most of the time, and we barely have time to discuss properly, let alone do actual lab work. He is very intelligent and informative and quite funny, just not a very good teacher. Class is a
He is the best on making stress in your life!!! trust me, you will cram and procrastinate more because he doesn't know how to prioritize his time. Your LAST REGULAR TEST and FINAL could be on the same week. Now tell me if that is not stress!
The last 2weeks of class was a ___(begins with "B" and rhyms with itch.)We got test on chapter 7-10, then 2 lecture days later we got tested on 11-15, then 2 days later was our final and it was lecture 1-20 and lecture 16-20, he just skimmed over sayin "You shud have learned it in lab" Well if we learned it in lab, y are we being testd durng lectur
This guy is not really a bad person. He is kind of funny but the way he teaches is quite horrible. He spends 3 monthes out of 4 explaining 2 chapters, while the last month he crams 10 chapters in 3 weeks. In the last 3 wks his lectures makes you feel you are in an auction not a class. He would miss class alot and was ALWAYS late.I did not learn onebit
a few points from an A and he didn't give it to me.. And when i mean a few points, I meaan very little points from an "A". I meaan it's his damn fault for cramming everything all at once.. DAAMNN YOUU!!
You probably did not do the extra credit (earth day) essay.. that's 10 points; which could have help you earn one letter grade. You gamble and you lost. I did not like him either but i was already in his class so i pretend to like him. I a ask question to earn points for participation. I got an A by the way..
He was a nice teacher. I liked him. He helped when asked. Not a bad guy.He loves what he teaches.
HE IS ONE OF THE BEST PROF I'VE HAD HERE AT LACC.
I had him for Anatomy, passed with an A. Just put in your time, and you will earn what you deserve. As for Physiology, I thought it was extremely hard. You have to understand it, if you don't understand certain materials, the semester will move on much harder for you. So make sure you understand materials along the way. Don't cram, like him!
He is very nice teacherand absolutely incredible person. He is not guilty if we don't want to study. His explanation is clear, short and easy for understading. All his testes are predictable. We were not supraised during the testes. He is not easy teacher as is not easy Physiology. He try to reach us for understanding how human body works. Tke his class
Horrible teacher!waste my time and money. got a A but I will retake physio b/c this subject is very important for nursing major. He didn't cover all chapter and didn't teach anyhting!
I recommend students to take another teacher. Take his class if you want your life to be A LIVING HELL. TRUSST !! take walano for anatomy and SOMEONE FORBID don't take him for PHYSIOLOGY!! TRUST, TRUST, TRUST. I mean you will still survive but it will be one HELL of a ride.
A lot of blah-blah-blah about his family, how smart he is (actually he is smart), but he just wasting our time!!! In the end of semester he covered 4 chapters so faast because we had just 1 week before finals. He is funny, he is smart, but he doesn't know how to lecture.
HOT, sexy smart. A very smart guy, wants to help students get the grades they need. His tests are hard, but he goes over the material in detail and he is very good at explaining. Offers a lot of extra credit and extra help. I would NEVER take these classes with a different professor.
Dr. Gonsalves is an excellent teacher! he knows science and that makes it easy to understand. he give loads of EC and is you pay attention to his lecture and DO YOUR HOMEWORK! show up to class, you will pass! Thank for teaching me physio!
He is very smart, funny and a nice guy. But seriously, I don't think he can actually teach. He goes off the topic a lot and wastes time. We had our 4th test and the final in one week! We had to cover so many materials in the last month of this semester because he spent like 4 months covering 2 chapters?! He's really nice but I won't recommend him.
Took him for Winter. Lectures were very informative. Didn't use the book and all of his exams were based on lecture. His tests honestly weren't very difficult. They were fairly straight forward. The class was slow at first and sped up towards the end because the concepts built on top of each other. Gives ALOT of extra credit.
If u want understand the subject & really start thinking how body works - take his class! He will make you participate and think. His lectures r NEVER boring:) Gives lots of extra points to help w/ ur grade by dropping your lowest test and replacing it with more than 100 pts if you attend. do ur labs this will raise ur grade! hard but so mch fun
Perhaps he presents lecture for the common folk, but i am a science major and his off topic rants put you to sleep. He elicits participation and then mocks/condescends when he could f*&%ing be teaching. Lab is oft used to lecture more b/c he cant fit his rant into the alotted time.
Professor Gonsalves is by far one of the best professors I have ever encountered in my life. I took his 5 week anatomy course. Def time consuming but i enjoyed every second of it!! I felt motivated to do well in his class and it was so much fun i almost cried on the last day! TAKE HIS CLASS!!! Def not a piece of cake but u will learn a lot!!!!
Take lots of notes, use textbook as reference only, pay attention to the lecture notes he provides. Don't be intimidated cuz he's very approachable, knowledgeable, and very clear when answering questions. Goes off topic, crams in info towards finals. Focus of written questions - he'll give all the answers in class so take good notes; record as well
This is how his class goes: he always arrives 10 mins late, take roles is another 10 mins, set-up his computer take few mins= 1/3 of the time is gone from a one and half hour class. Then he starts to talk about the lecture and often gets off topic, not even get through half of the lecture, class is over. Would you like to be in a class like that?
Great teacher. PREPARE TO STUDY ALOT. Not the easiest subject, but he explains it very well. You dont need the book, treat the lecture notes as if your life depended on it. He's approachable & nice. I got a B :)
The class is out of 800 points. 720 points plus is an A, 640 points plus is a B. Attendance is mandatory and worth 50 points. There are 4 exams worth 100 points each. The lowest exam score will be dropped and replaced with your attendance points (out of 50) and your lab book score out of 50. There is a 50 point written paper. Get all the easy point
Amazing at making complex concepts easy to understand. However he gets off topic a lot and doesn't time manage well. Everything gets crammed the last 2 weeks of class. We had 2 midterms within 4 days of each other and the final exactly one week after that. Mr. Gonsalves please space out the exams!!
Not the hardest working person/teacher, not ambitious about his teachings and subject, slacks around, comes late, and at the end when students get bad grades due to his poor teachings- he'd start lecturing for an entire semester about how the students are so lazy and barely study. I had to repeat this class with a diff professor.
Only study his lecture notes, don't need the book! He crams everything towards the end you end up having back to back exams. Gives a lot of extra credit! Very helpful! If you can't put the time to study then don't even bothering going to class. YOu can't just "wing" it!
He's great at making easy concepts sound difficult to understand. However this guy is one of the best teachers I've had. He really cares about students. Now you will get your butt kicked while going through his class. But you'll be so much smarter afterwards. BE PREPARED TO STUDY! If you want to have a deep understanding of physiology, take him!
Quite possibly the best prof. I Have ever had. He is an excellent motivator, very professional, and fun. He loves to teach and is supurb at it, he doesn't want you to just get a good grade he wants you to understand and apply the knowledge. He tells you everything you need to know for the test and gives tons of extra credit. A+++++
He is by far one of the best teachers around. Tons of extra credit, friendly and cares about his students.
Phenominal teacher! He is the best teacher I have ever had. He truly wants everyone to pass his class. He gives TONS of opportunities to succeed. I drove 2 hours each way JUST to take his class...well worth it! Everyone should take him! He is super funny too! And remember "to much of a good thing is good for nothing"!
please answer!, how are his quizzes how many questions are they and are they multiple choice?, same question about the tests!!
His lab quizzes are all multiple choice and come straight from the lab book. If you study the review questions (which are homework) then you will score high. His tests are multiple choice and short answer. Do well on the written! M/C is harder but he gives extra credit. He REALLY tries to help everyone pass. He is great!
Gonsalves should seriously win an award. He is an outstanding teacher. And this is coming from someone who took his 11 hour class during winter. He made the 11 hours fly by! I cant express how amazing of a teacher he is. Ive never known any teacher as amazing as him. He truly loves his job and teaches it in a way that everyone can understand.
He wastes sooooo much time!!! Not worth the hype. Rushes labs and teaches very little in lecture.
Lectures very briefly and rushes when the test is nearing. Goes off topic way to much and loses your attention very easily. Labs are similar to lecture. Crams everything into the last half hour and expects you to finish. I would NOT recommend
Doesn't have control of the classroom. Argues with students rather than taking authority. The worst of all, is that he takes three months to do the first 5 chapters then crams the last ten chapters into the last month and then demands that we don't memorize. How else do you do it when he dilly dallies around for the whole semester and then crams?
He is nice, but beginning of semester, he spent all the time doing nothing. easy to pass his class, but I don't remember what did I learn. I think it will be better to take his class on summer or winter semester.
if you want to learn... do not take him. he crams the whole semester into the last month. does not motive you at all. i would not recommend
Professor Gonsalve's is a nice man. As long as you study the material and the lecture notes that he provides you should do pretty good. Make sure you make it to class everyday even though it is not mandatory; he gives extra credit(written portion) for the exams/Quizzes which can bump you up a grade.
He is not a good teacher. He crams everything at the end bc he takes 2 months to go over the first chapter which is not necessary. He gets mad when you complain bc he speeds through things at the end. Be prepared to take back to back tests. He also is very immature and makes really time wasting jokes and comments. Not worth taking this professor!!
He is probably the worst science teacher I have ever taken. He wastes so much time at the beginning and he says its to build a foundation but its because he likes to listen to himself talk. You will not learn anything. Everything gets packed into the last month and then he speeds through info and you learn nothing. Dont take him! Not worth it!
I have gotten A in all my science classes that are required for nursing. I thought for sure that if I continued to study hard I would get an A in this class as well. But, he is an awful teacher! He crams everything in the last month The tests are hard bc you learn it one day and are tested on it the next. Dont take him you learn nothing!I got a C!
Worst science professor I have ever had! I got an A but I learned nothing! Dont take him, you will learn nothing and his tests are very hard.
Attendance is mandatory or you lose points. Memorize every bit of his lecture notes and you should get high marks. He has VERY poor time management. He was late every class, spent another 5 minutes taking roll, and always got off topic. In the final weeks he rushed through lectures and didn't cover 3 lectures of material that were on the final.
Best professor
Great professor. Very smart and intelligent. Follow his directions and you will get nothing but an A in class. Visit during office hours and he will do his best to help a student succeed in class. Tests are very straight forward.??????????
I'm a 3rd semstr RN student @ LAVC. I took him during winter over a year ago. He's very good if u're interested in nursing. His test weren't easy but doable. Lecture and his slides were very helpful. it was a tough A to get (@ that time) If u take him during winter break u'll get a taste what nursing school is like --critical thinking!!!
He is a very helpful teacher he truely does want his students to pass his class. I took his Anatomy class in the fall...knowing that this is a hard class i was scared but he made this class fun and interseting. The bottom line is yo MUST listen to his lectures and do good on his test he drops ur lowest grade and even gives you points for attendance
He is one of the smartest individuals I've met. He knows something about everything. Ok, so he goes off on tangents at times (don't we all?) and can be a tad unorganized (aren't we all?), but if he sees you're putting in an effort, maintaining good attendance and participating he WILL help you out towards the end. Great educator loves the subject!
e is a good teacher and never lies about what is on the test. he has a good sense of humor, which makes the class fun and explains it well. He is easy but like he says, "If you are no planning to spend the time, don't take this class, you will fail". Yup!
I want to thank you P. Gonsalves. He is one of the best professors in LACC. Before taking this class I was reading the comments about him and I thought that I can't pass this class. After, I understand as a second language speaker that everyone wants to get an easy A but this is Anatomy class common you must study heard to get a good grade.
Professor G is a genius! Yeah he might go off topic at times but c'mon he tries and makes the class fun, always tries to help his students, his tests are super easy just study the material he gives you record the lectures and you're set. I took Anatomy and Physiology with him, Professor G you're awesome !
THIS MAN IS BRILLIANT AND HE'S ONE OF THE BEST PROFESSORS AT LACC. HE KNOWS HOW TO EXPLAIN AND HE GIVES YOU SO MANY OPPORTUNITIES TO GET AN A IN THE CLASS SO TAKE ADVANTAGE. TOOK HIM FOR ANATOMY AND PHYSIOLOGY. BOTH A's.
Overall, I liked this teacher, but I was also frustrated by his method. At first, he teaches at a very slow pace, which almost indulges lazy students that don't study. At the end of the semester he rushes all the lectures - like hitting fast forward on a dvd, the material will zoom by. READ and stay ahead so you don't get overwhelmed near the end.
He is a genius, but treats everyone equally to himself. His test are tricky and superhard! He cancels class and crams chapters at the last moment. Not good! Take him if your going to be a Doctor haha!
In one clear sentence, you don't learn anything in this class!!!I wouldn't recommend this professor If you really want to learn something, he doesn't explain anything, instead demands a lot and you can easily fail the class.
Based on the comments below, having taken both his courses.... He writes his own comments. Once you realize how he teaches and speaks, it's obvious he writes his own remarks to lure students to take him. Don't waste your time. You'll regret taking his class. He says he's there to help you, but you'll see how uninterested he is and brush you off.
He knows his stuff, but his teaching skills are not the best. He wastes so much time in the first 3/4 of of the semester, and dumps so much info on the last few weeks. he goes off topic everyday, and his multiple choose questions are TRICKY. Especially the "none of the above" even if you know it, he will make you doubt yourself. Try another prof.
He's a good professor. He teach in a slow pace at first and will rush a lil bit in the end. He gives a lot of extra points both in the midterms and final exam. Attendance is a must... I'll take him again in Physiology class.
Prof. G is a mess! But he knows his stuff. Goes on many tangents. TIPS: Record the lectures, pay attention to the written questions on exams, and do your disease pathologies EARLY. Use his office hours. He is really into helping those WHO HELP THEMSELVES. Not Easy, but well worth it, That's why his classes are always packed.
This is a really tough class because of Prof G's desire for his students to learn things beyond what's going to be on a test. This is really inspiring until it's time to take an exam and you have to seperate the things he wants you to know from what will actually be on the exams. He takes great enjoys in seeing students connect dots none the less.
I have had my ups and downs with this professor. He spent the first month or so taking his time going over things that should have been condensed to save time for the hardest stuff closest to the final. Overall, was not pleased that he wasted the class time talking about things irrelevant to the course and rushed over the most important material.
I'm back. LOL. I took him on anatomy and I got A. I also took his Physiology class, I got an A as well. He knows his stuff. Very knowledgeable. A lot of extra credit. Better attend to the class because attendance is worth 50 points. You have to do good on the quizzes and tests so that you don't need to worry getting high score on the finals.
Intelligent teacher, always willing to help. Quizzes are easy IF you read. Midterms are ok, the more time you spend studying the better grade you get. Make sure you memorize written extra credit on tests, the Final is very difficult. take advantage to get most of the points in the beginning of semester, will really help towards the end.
The best Biology teacher I've taken my whole five years of college level education. Funny, and overqualified for his positions at LACC. Really humble and great role model.
Prof G is AWESOME! He has ADD and gets off topic, but no worries bc his exams are based on his LECTURE NOTES!! Book wasn't really needed. Memorize his WRITTEN QUESTIONS & study LECTURE NOTES to pass. (Record lectures!!) Lab quizzes: 85% Test your knowledge. He gives EXTRA CREDIT!! He's very helpful-go to his office hours for help!
Professor G is HILARIOUS! Took him in the fall and got an A. He likes to keep his lectures fun and can be playful whis students. This class is tough, but it is easy to pass if you do your lab hw, study his lecture notes, & attend EVERY class (50 pt). He gives you written test questions wsome multiple choice and extra credit galore! ! Thanx Prof G
Always volunteer and gives lots of ectra credtit. To get him on track learn the word metabolism. No need for the text book if you go to class. You must study
It's a hard class and a lot of information but he really wants you to do well. He gives a lot of extra credit opportunities on tests and homework etc and tells you exactly what you need to know. He also drops your lowest test score. He'll help you do well as long as you are willing to put in some work for it.
This was the most intense class I've ever taken by far and it was during 5-week course... I can't blame the professor but you should never take this class unless you are a nursing major. Otherwise, he is reasonable but not an easy A. You should read, read, and have to understand the concept. If you memorize the lecture, You would get a B, not an A
Very slow in the beginning of the semester, postponed exams 3 times, and cramps two weeks before final. A lots of extra credits, research paper 5-7pg, and cumulative final. Exams are multiple choices, and essays questions. Lab quiz every week. Get ready to read and memorize them all... Do not follow the class schedule, cause you'll be behind.
Nice guy. Gives a lot of extra credit, but class is really hard. His lectures start very slow, but doesn't finish material. Final is impossible. Doesn't go over all the info, and you end up having to teach yourself. Tests are hard which is why he gives extra credit. Expect a lot of studying if you want to pass. Getting an A is almost impossible
Really cool teacher. Expect to study at least 20 hours a week.. literally his words. The class itself is alright. Lecture is like any other but he rushes towards the end. Lab, on the other hand was the most difficult. Almost everyone in my class struggled. And by the looks of it 40% got an F in the class because of the practicums. So study.
I loved your class Professor G!!! its super hard! you need to study nonstop!!! dont expect to get an easy A on Physiology!!! thanks for an awesome semester!!!!!! fall 2015
Prof. G. is a great guy, gives lots of extra credit, my problem with him was his disorganization. He doesn't stick to a syllabus so if you're a working student or have family responxibilities and have to plan your homework/study time then this class is not a good idea. Test questions/lectures were not always clear. Do the xtra cr, you'll be fine.
Taking this class was a great test to me. I got two C's in my first two tests and that was a wake up call. I studied hard for the following tests and got A's on all of them. Prof. Gonsalves drops your lowest grade and even gives out an essay and adds participation points. That really helped me out and gave me an A. I highly recommend taking him.
I took his class during fall 2015, and i will say one thing by far this was the hardest class i have ever taken. i never studied like this before, but at the end of the semester its soon worth it.!! Professor G. if you ever read this comments than know that you are an amazing teacher. I learned a lot from your class.! Getting an A is very possible!
He's the best anatomy teacher at LACC and he's your best shot if you want an A. Be prepared to study for more than 400 hours this semester. Good Luck.
Prof G is an excellent teacher! Exams are not hard at all if you study directly from the notes he provides to you. Kept class entertaining. Offers a lot of extra credit. Don't need the book. You will learn a lot from him! I wish I could take him for all science classes! I got an A.
He's a fair grader. You get what you worked for. Need to study atleast 2 hours/day to pass the course. If you study, you will learn. If not, do not expect him to grade you on a curve. Will not work. He loves to talk so learn how to cut him off for him to get back on the subject.
He's an awesome teacher. He has specified open hours, but if you need extra help, you can email him and set something up for outside of those hours. Definitely recommend!
I have a love/hate relationship with this professor. I admire how he makes his students think; I dislike how unorganized he is. He is obviously very knowledgeable in all things science but has a hard time communicating that information sometimes. Gets off topic a lot, but still manages to make sure we understand the relevance in his stories.
He makes the material harder than already is. Gets out of topic a lot. If you want a grade better than a C I suggest looking for another professor . I literally regret taking him I got a C which lowered my gpa !!!
AVOID THIS PROFESSOR. He is the worst physiology professor on campus. He doesn't lecture properly and gives the hardest tests. I wish I never took this class. He is horrible.
Don't take him!!! He is so unorganized. He goes fast on the lectures. Expects you to memeoriez everything. I was one percent away from a B and he still didn't give me a B . I tried very hard he makes the class harder since he doesn't explain it good enough . He goes out of topic too much . Dont take him I suggest you looking for another professor!!
Who does this professor think he is?! He is surely setting his students up to fail. He clearly doesn't know how to handle time. It took us 7 weeks to take the first test and now we have tests 1 week apart, aka TWO CLASS DAYS APART. He doesn't know how to lecture and his tests are unnecessarily hard. Horrible. Stay away from this professor.
Fun lectures. DON'T buy the book, his tests are just based on his LECTURE! He does get off topic sometimes, but since I took him for a 5 week course, he stayed on schedule. He tells you what the written questions on the test will be in advance. I was scared of taking physio in 5 weeks but Prof G made it so fun. Exams were easy, but Final was HARD!!
Professor cancelled class for two weeks. Didn't give the first exam until the end of the second month of the semester then gave two exams a month. Very unorganized, inconsiderate of your schedule and does not follow the syllabus.
he tells you in the beginning that all the points are at the end of the semester. But he is extremely disorganized, & his tests get exceedingly harder. Final was difficult. First two tests were incredibly easy, but you do need to study. Also offers literally 50 pts or so extra credit and tells you in advance 20 pts worth of questions on EVERY exam
One of the coolest professors, but the tests are very difficult. I enjoyed his lectures but there was so much information I couldn't really process it well. He gives tons of extra credit.
Prof G is hilarious, witty, and very eloquent with his lectures. He delves into each topic very deeply and makes sure his students understand him. However, I don't like the way he structured his class and his tests. Very slow beginning, then cramming in the end. Go to his office hours for more clarification on a specific topic.
Doesnt stick on syllabus. Please take a different professor for this class
Tough professor. Physio has so much detail and the professor can give you all the info IF you give 100% of your focus to his lectures. He gets side tracked easily so dont get irritated if he does. Test are difficult but he gives a lot of written questions which all you have to do is memorize the answer and you should be okay passing the exams
Took his class a few years ago. He always came late to the class at least for 5 min, went off the topics a lot, and canceled the class at least6 times. He said because his whole family was sick and he had to go to the court, but I know he canceled the class for the same reason every semester. He crammed everything at the end of the semester.
I don't recomended to take this class with him, he didn't prepare his class, is all the same every single year, the lecture and website are not very helpful at all. Exams are based in lecture that you have to memeorize every single work, the extra credit part if you don't write what he wants, he is not going to give any point. Look for another Prof
Professor G is a good and smart teacher. He knows all his stuff, gives A LOT of xtra credit but he is absolutely lazy & disorganized. I really do not recommend taking his class. He gets out of topic a lot, & spends 3 weeks on a single chapter. Everything gets harder in the end becoz he crams all his lectures. Did not understand anything from him.
No offense meant, if year after year he will be spending over half of the 14 weeks allotted to discuss basic chemistry, he should probably stick to being just that-- a Chemistry Professor instead of for Physiology. He essentially crammed 3/4 of the material in 3 weeks.
No professor is perfect and this is college --- meaning do not expect to be spoonfed!!! He is very smart and extremely familiar with his material. If he had any misgivings with the schedule and the load, students must put in their share of hard work. Come on guys-- who gives so many extra credits for such a difficult subject? Truly generous.
Very genuine and generous professor. Get ready to study everyday.
I took physiology with this professor and honestly I didn't learn one thing. He focused more on chemistry and biochem then anything else. Everything in his class was more about memorizing than learning. In addition,he takes his time during the first couple weeks and jams everything at the end. I would suggest to take another professor
Didn't learn anything at all! LACC needs to hire another professor that knows how to teach!! Avoid this professor !!!
Love his enthusiasm! LACC is lucky to have him. Took the 5wk course. It was INTENSE, but he knows his stuff! He gives A LOT of extra credit so make sure you take advantage because the class is tough. Do well on first 3 midterms & the paper so you can give yourself breathing room for the final. He mostly stayed on track since we only had 5 wks.
He is an amazing professor. Really funny guy and seems to genuinely care about whether his students pass or fail. That being said, it is not an easy class and you will definitely have to work for your grade. Lots of memorization. He gives you quite a few opportunities for extra credit which is nice. This class will take up a lot of your time.
TIPS: Record lectures! The faster he speaks, more likely it's on the test. 1st, study his website notes to get a B. Then, study lecture notes to get to an A. Save Your Energy: Lab extra credit is worst use of your time. Test/Quiz EC is best use of your time. PRO: Kind hearted. Tons of EC. CONS: Often seems annoyed we're not all geniuses.
Four tests, all based on his class lecture and green lecture book. Final is cumulative. IMPORTANT: RECORD THE CLASS! At least, if you want an A. He spends a lot of time going over the stuff from the first few chapters, then rushes towards the end. You'll also have to write a research paper and expect weekly quizzes in lab. Lots of extra credit!
I am telling you, you are going to get so much stress from this stupid class. I have no idea why this guy is tenure position and department chair position. LACC please hire a better professor, why are you paying so much money to this guy? he thinks he's a good professor but he is not a qualified professor at all. he deserves 0.5 point not even 1
Seriously - LACC needs to pay attention to these reviews. GG is one of the worst professors of all time. No practice tests and 3 exams in the last couple of weeks leaving you no time to study. 60% of final exam is on things he doesn't teach - YOU have to listen to lectures and teach yourself. Unbelievably stressful and useless class.
He is very smart and well educated. Physio is hard but he gives many extra credits , so you can make mistakes but still get high grades. Explains very detail and gives examples that you never forget. I really admire him because he is very smart and explains things clearly.
Don't take this class if you're not a procrastinator because Doctor Gonsalves take things in last minute. Almost half of the semester and we are barely in the first chapter of his lecture notes. The exams are crazily challenging and you do really have to study and understand the concept. Study at least 5 hours everyday and record his lecture.
he is the best professor and motivating students to learn and improve. As long as you listen to what he saids in class, you can easily get A in the class. he is very fair so no favoritism (he failed his own sister in law). the lab was the downside since answering all the questions took most of my time.
Professor Gs voice is crystal clear (sometimes speaks fast) but recording his lectures and understanding the concepts rather than memorizing will earn you success. Lots of extra credit on exams plus others. Choose a research topic you are most interested in. Focus more on the lecture but do all the lab questions for a full credit to earn an A.
His class was enjoyable. He gives a lot of extra credit and really cares for the students. He does go slowly on the first few chapters and rushes the rest of the course, but it's completely doable. Just make sure to pay attention in class and study the lecture notes he provides.
Mr. G is a really good teacher. It is a heard course but he does help student in giving so much extra credit. You must do all the question before you meet for lab and also do extra credit. Attendance also counts as part of your grade. i do recommend this teacher. If you need a good grade for this hard class take him. And do all his work.
Professor G is an interesting guy. You can tell he knows a lot, but the issue is that you are going to basically have to teach yourself phyiso to survive this class. He is very distracted with his life outside of the class room that it might be months before you even start to learn. Take this class with someone else.
Professor G is a genius. Make sure to work on your labs hard on timely manner. He build the basics in the beginning, then flies through fairly heavy materials very quickly. It can be overwhelming, but lab quizzes and lecture intertwines beautifully towards final stuff. He would write you an amazing letter of rec too, even multiple times! Take him!
WORST PROF. EVER! Makes everyone feel dumb. Don't bother answering questions in class bc even if u're right, u're wrong, he'll reword ur answer & say it's right when he says it. SLOW! I HAVEN'T LEARNED ANYTHING! 12th WK into the semester & we're in the 3rd set of notes OUT OF 20! Expects to teach urself & not his problem if u don't understand!
Do well on the lab quizzes and exercises for easy points. Recording the lectures were a waste of time. Study the lecture notes to do good on the exams. Beware that he does not follow the syllabus at all and will often go like 30 mins pass the end of class just to finish lecturing. He drops your lowest scores but most people end up with a C.
Prof G is amazing, sometimes gets distracted, straight forward, available in office hours, very knowledgable, etc.. the only thing you need be careful is the first 8 weeks of the class he spent it on homeostasis, chemistry, and biochemistry to build foundations. Gives lots of extra credits, tests are not hard if u study daily! I enjoyed his class!
He moves slowly in the beginning to build the foundation and then speeds up during the 2nd half of the course. His notes are available online. Quizzes during weekly lab, 4 midterms, 1 cumulative final, 1 project. Lowest scores are dropped, and doing the extra credit really helps. Make sure not to fall behind. He's available during office hours.
Some tips to survive and ace his course: skim over lecture notes before class, review notes after class, watch youtube videos or google search terms/concepts you don't understand, draw pics/diagrams next to notes to memorize material faster. Stuff u learn in lab will be helpful for the final so don't cheat ur way & actually read the material.
Physiology in general is a class that will make you cry 200 times by the time you're done. But Gonsalves is a phenomenal instructor because he makes learning easy. Great quality instructor, oh and he is hilarious. He made a really difficult class bearable because he was so funny. Thanks so much Prof G!
He has a very effective learning tactic. He will make you work for your grade, meaning you will need to study study study study. His exams are based on his lecture. He gives a lot of extracredit so if you get all Bs on your quizzes and exams, you can still get an A if you get the extra credit. At the end of the semester, you have gained a lot.
The professor is really knowledgeable about his field but he was really tough on us even going into quritine. He didn't reason with us and gave us 3 midterms every week before finals and he made us learn eight chapters for the final. You have to do five audio recorded lecture, that you can barely hear anything so be ready.
Professor Gonsalves has an unfair rating here. The material is difficult so it will take work to understand the subject matter. Highly recommend you pay attention to his lectures, record them and listen to them a few times while using his outline. The class may start a bit slow but will be very difficult at the end. Ask questions if confused.
Not sure why prof G has such a bad rating. I mean physiology is hard but tbh I didnt even try for this class and got a high B. He gives a ton of extra credit. His lectures are entertaining and hes super lenient during this whole COVID thing. His class is pretty straight forward. If you dont pass then you didnt something wrong, not him.
I regret taking this class w him. Completely screwed me for pathophysio class that I am taking now in nursing school. We had to teach ourselves the last 7 chapters with his old recordings for finals bc 'he ran out of time'. How long has he been teaching now? We used labster for lab (on our own time), so lab time was completely wasted. Really lazy.
This professor explains the material really well. He does rush towards the end(lots of chapters) but I think it's doable if you put in the time and effort. Exams can be a bit tricky but no extremely hard. Really nice guy and willing to go the extra step to help students out.
Prof. Gonsalves is a great professor and an amazing lecturer. He repeats important information over and over that it gets ingrained in your head. It's true that the material gets heavy towards the end, but that's just as if you are in nursing school. DON'T complain, DO the work & work HARD. You have plenty of opportunities to do well in his class.
Well, professor Gonsalves has the heart to give you a lot of extra credit. But you will not pass his extra credit because it's damn hard to answer. All of his exams under proctored, which is alright but there is a very short time to answer the question. 11 question in 4 min and there is lag behind in proctorio. You have less than 10 sec to think.
DO NOT DO NOT take this course over a 5 week winter session. You are waisting your time and money. There is simply way too much material to cover in 5 weeks. (It shouldn't even be offered over winter). Tests and quizzes are proctored. You have 4 minutes to take an 11 Q quiz, and about 45 minutes for a 50 Q test. material obviously hard.
Prof G is a great lecturer and really makes these difficult concepts easy to understand. If you put in the time that this class needs (60 hours a week during winter term!), you will pass the class. He provides lots of EC opportunities, but be forewarned that the final is cumulative and there is a big research paper you have to do.
Took him for winter and it was HARD, take him during regular semester period not summer or winter, time is very limited. He is kind and give alot of extra credit and very nice. I would love to take him again during fall or spring!
Professor G deserves higher ratings on this site. He's a great lecturer and a nice/funny dude. Class is pretty straightforward (4) midterms - lowest dropped, (1) cumulative final (1) 5-7 pg. paper, (15) weekly quizzes - 5 lowest dropped, tons of extra credit available, and participation points based on attendance. Requires a lab book.
In an online class setting, wifi is completely out of our control if it cuts out during a test or quiz. This professor doesn't seem to care whether we miss an exam because of wifi issues & simply compared it to transportation to go to class. Online school is already difficult & stressful as-is & hearing that just stresses me out more.
Hands down would not recommend. He is inconsiderate during the pandemic and wont try to work around a connectivity issue. I had no control over my wifi cutting off and was basically told its my responsibility to have good wifi in order to succeed. If his wifi cuts off during the lecture Im placing my uno reverse card :(
I took Professor G's physio class online and was def. a challenge. Lots of exams and quizzes but also a lot of opportunities for X-cr. Although his class was challenging, the way he lectures makes it easy to understand and will reiterate if needed and will over exams and other assignments for you to better understand. Highly recommend!
My score is based on the difficulty of this class during a winter term. Unless you are unemployed with no responsibilities, I would 100% recommend taking this course during spring/fall. Heavily based on exams/quizzes from his lectures, but he does well at explaining things, just takes too long to explain so you have to teach yourself in the end.
Do yourself a favor and don't take this class. The lecture exam is 35 minutes long and includes 56 questions. Yes he gives extra credit questions but they are so hard and are not multiple choice. Believe me when I say you are better off with any other professor. I regret taking this professor.
Great guy, but not really professional in teaching. He is on top of other things but goes off topic in his lectures. You have to teach yourself in the end because he will test you on things that were on his video lectures you watch. Not much of a professor. You may need to watch his video lectures and take notes on your own to not fall behind.
This prof is amazing, however, you pretty much need to teach yourself with his recorded lectures because for example he stuck with homeostasis for six weeks. As long as you listen to what he says in lectures and study every day, then you should pass his class. You need a lab book to pass the lab quizzes. Overall great professor and he's hilarious.
Hello. I am planning to take his Physiology class in Spring 2023. For those of you who took his Physio class, does he allow you to take tests with open notes? Please like for yes, dislike for no!
Professor Gonsalves is great. This class is not easy by any means. It is a very dense class with a lot of material. A lot of self teaching, especially toward the end. He has some audio only lectures that are tough to hear which isn't great, but you can make out enough to follow along with his notes. He offers plenty of extra credit as well.
I took his physio 1 class. He has interesting lectures where he explains the material with many interesting examples and entertaining stories. His class does require a lot of study but it's mostly based on the lectures, books are for reference. Very accessible outside of class and friendly. Gives extra credit. Fair grader. Explains material well.
You may be intimidated by the negative reviews but he is a great teacher. May be tough to begin with but he tries to make learning fun. Test are very straightfwd and gives honest answers to your questions.
Exams are hard and he does not give enough time also you cant go back to that question nor you can skip it. less than 20 secs to answer each question. when asked to give more time he just mocked me that if you know the anwser you need just 2 secs.
Spring 23. I learned a lot from this class and the professor is a great. The exams are based on what he says in lecture so record the lectures and study that everyday. Exams are difficult but fair. There is a research paper so get started on that as soon as possible to get it over with. Take notes on modules online beforehand to get an early start.
Get ready to figure out a way to learn things fast. 1 week to learn 4 lectures before an exam (3 out of 4 are AUDIO recordings- AWFUL AWFUL way to learn). His lectures are just pages of notes that make no sense without context (which he boasts about). His teaching is a mess and a total disservice. Pre-nursing students proceed with caution.
I took this class in 5 weeks so going in I knew it was gonna be tough. Each week we would have one lecture exam and lab quizzes daily. For lecture he would only teach us one of the topics we would be tested on and the others were for us to learn on our own with the "help" of this recorded lectures. Would not suggest taking this class with him!!!
Horrible, completely horrible. Great guy don't get me wrong, but a horrible professor. You will be stuck on a lecture topic for weeks, the rest of the material will have to be self-studied. In addition to that, quizzes are pointless. Backward teaching, inconsiderate of students. Goes off on tangents which hinders the main material from being taught
One word to describe this prof, TERRIBLE. True disgrace to the LACCD. Took as an accelerated course in summer and each week Dr. G would only lecture on one topic and expect us to to learn the other lectures on our own, by his recorded videos, which are awful quality. Does not care if you pass, and I believe he was just there to collect a check.
I took this course in the summer semester & was strictly online. His lectures were entertaining & would give a few extra analogies than needed, but only if students weren't understanding the material. He wouldn't be able to cover all material during lecture, so we'd have to watch past recorded lectures. Honestly EASY A if you put the time in.
Grades based on points(no leniency)if you get 720-800 points, its a guaranteed A. He gives 100+points extra credit. DO IT ALL! Lab quizzes every week(14quizzes/drops4)11questions 4 min each. If you read the lab book you shouldn't have trouble finishing in 1 min. 4exams/55ish questions, lowest dropped. Final is 200points. Overall great professor
His method of teaching did not work for me. I enrolled for what should have been a FULLY IN PERSON class, but he would lecture on one topic for weeks and would leave you to learn everything else through video and audio lectures. Might as well just put the class as hybrid if it was gonna be like this. awful method.
Professor G has a specific teaching style, but engaging with it can be rewarding. The course has a lot of exams and quizzes, but also extra credit opportunities. I found Unstuckstudy and the provided textbook helpful for study prep.
I took professor Gonsalves over the winter. There were quizzes almost every day, however, as long as you read the sections (not long) and answer the questions at the end you are guaranteed to do well. Gives lots of extra credit on quizzes and exams. downside: he gives hours of audio lectures for you to self study with notes, just listen on 2x speed
Focused more on biochem and anatomy review for the first 10 weeks; you cram all the actual physiology at the end, there are 5 old lectures that are 1-2 hours long, all required for the final. He knows his stuff, just doesn't have the class paced out right; gets distracted very easily. Has meetings to get to after lab too so those are always rushed.
He's pretty funny guy and very knowledgable. You really have to read a lot and pay attention to his lectures. Take lots of notes as well. The Lab book is about 80 bucks i think.
don't take his class.
Took this as a nursing requirement do not take him if you want to learn everything by yourself instead of having someone help you understand the material better. He stays stuck on the same lecture of several weeks and falling behind, labs are boring he goes based on the lab manual which is old style.
I would not recommend him to ANYONE. It takes him 5 weeks to finish the first lecture and after that everything is rushed, hes always off track and makes us stay longer. You have 21 hours of lecture on your own because he cant finish in person. Exams are also made to TRICK YOU so you can fail. SAVE YOURSELF AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE FOR YOUR OWN SAKE!!
cons: takes time to go over lecture (15+ hrs of online lectures) lots of info, gets distracted easily pros: lots of EC, extremely knowledgeable, very understanding. legit learned so much in this class 4 exams, 1 paper, online lab hw (8-10), cumulative final could've done more but i underestimated the amount of material being covered for each exam
Study… anyone complaining just needs to figure out their own way of studying because the class isn't hard if you STUDY and actually pay attention. He's very lecture heavy but the material is interesting & make sure you do all his extra credit!
I had him over the summer 2025 and it was the 5-week course. class was tough to get thru (5 hours M & W) the test itself is worded weirdly and you can't go backwards. buku amount of extra credit which saved me so i appreciate that aspect.
I had to switch schools because this was the "best" physiology professor. If you have time to teach yourself physiology then take this class. He yaps and constantly loses track of the fact that he is supposed to be teaching. The second day of class he stayed on the first page of lecture the entire class and was already one week behind.
