Very nice guy..doesnt like essays which i LOVE ..very interesting the only bad thing would be too many notes and he goes too fast when were trying to write them down...but other than that hes a really cool guy
sooo nice!!!!! says he doesnt wanna make the tests crazy difficult thank god, good mix of pwrp pres, video and lect.tends to pace back and forth during some of his lectures and while he talks but other that that hes soo cool, take this class!!!!
awesome teacher, even awesomer hair
This guy is the nicest prof ever, he ahs the patience of a saint and helped me out when i needed it.he's never miserable and he seems super smart, he wants u to succeed not fail miserably!

he is a nice guy, really funny, lecture material is interesting. BUT...he doesn't indicate office hours, isnt clear aobut what materials are going to be tested, adn moves through lectures super fast...over all, an ok teacher
Great teacher. He's extremely helpful and always willing to entertain questions. He's definately my favourite prof. Plus, his hair is awesome.
All i got to say is this teacher is the best. I really like his style of teaching and the way he gives notes and talks at the same time..its just good it works out really well. You'll acutally look foward to going to this class. Becasue of him i acutally want to continue crim...he's great.

G monay aka G baby is the bomb. hes so nice and rly cares if u succeed and go on into crim.. his tets are kinda hard tho :( but he gives u 30% for free and if u talk 2 him alot he will raise you one letter grade its awesome!
Awesome teacher! such a nice guy (cute dork i like to call him) help with anything. such a passion for crim (TAKE HIM!!)
Best prof ever!!! Greg was so passionate about crim and made a potentially boring first year class exciting! He is also a super nice guywho cares about his students and there well being and is always available to chat with. If all teachers were likehim university would be far more enjoyable.
boring class. too many notes final was not bad tho
Awesome teacher! Funny .. makes lectures interesting! Not a hard marker @ all .. I'd totally take him for another crim course!
awesome teacher, really enjoyed going to his class. went by so fast because it was so interesting.
approachable, best crim proff in kwantlen, highly reccommended
Very good teacher. Was not very clear on project but does make classes interesting and brings in videos to watch to change lectures a bit. I would take another class with him.
He taught one crim class at sfu last fall and I can honestly say he is one of the best professors. It's true, he is very passionate about crim and is always willing to help. Such a nice guy. If you keep up with your reading, his class shouldn't be too bad.
Greg is a great teacher. He walks you through all the assignments and is really awesome about making sure you get a good grade. Take his class.
Very good teacher, trys to make dry material bearable to read. Helps you along the way if you need it, and very passionate and enthusiastic about Crim. Tests are easy 100 MC questions.Projects are a little challenging but help prepare you for future courses.
Anything you hear about him is true. He's the greatest prof ever. He's a genious but doesn't quite realize it I think. Very helpful will practically hold your hand through the course. Passionate about crim. very dedicated prof. I recommend him to everyone. He takes a boring class and makes it fun.
Nice guy, helps when needed
his class was so boring i pretty much fell asleep most of the time. Nice guy though but tries a little to hard by being really enthusiastic about Crim. kind of annoyed me.
he's such a good teacher. he's so passionate that u cant help but stay attention. he's also really clear about what he's teaching.
He's an amazing teacher, who makes everything seem interesting. His tests and projects are easy. It's not hard to get a good mark.I really enjoyed this class, I would deffinitly recommend it.
I have never met anyone who is as passionate and enthusiastic as Greg Jenion, Even though at first I thought the material would be boring, I never wanted to miss his class, because I became just as passionate as him about what I was learning, he opened my eyes to think about learning Criminology in a whole new way. Take his class, you won't regret
Good teacher. Take him and you will not regret. However, his tests and final projects are not easy. Just study, and you will be fine. Greg, helps alot if needed.
greg is a great teacher, i must admit his passion for criminology and his hair do make me have a little crush on him! excellent teacher, challenging yes, but why are you in college if you think it shouldn't be? i give him 2 thumbs up!
awsome teacher, knows what he's doing, and loves to teach it. You won't regret taking his class...and I think his hair is cute, and his clothes are fine! leave the guy alone!
amazing teacher. My fave at kwantlen by far. He's a genious! He has the funniest sense of humor and the best views on issues related to crim. Kinda dull course but he makes it fun. i recommend taking a class with him 100%
AWESOME teacher! My favorite by far!!! Take him if you can. Makes class sooo interesting. Tells stories and makes jokes. Tries to make the class interactive instead of just a lecture. Only downside was a lot of note taking from powerpoint, but it was WELL worth it! Even though im no longer in crim i want to take another class with him!! TAKE HIM!
Greg is a great teacher, he is very helpful. His lectures are interesting even though I ran out of ink 4 times in the semester. His tests aren't that easy (100 mc's) but usually you do better then you think.
Is a nice teacher, but NOT easy by any means. Will make fairly, but you can't b/s your way through his class. Exams are straight from the lectures and books. The poster assignment (worth 30%) is A LOT of work, but do-able. Attendance in his class is a must if you want to do good.
Really nice guy. Very Helpful. The course itself was a bit hard but if you study, you sould be fine. He assigns a poster project to pull up the grade => Easiest A+ i have ever got.
Fair, but you still have to know your stuff.
seriously, this man is amazing...take his class, but be sure to study...he is incredibly intelligent and passionate to the point that it's contagious...i definitely look forward to having another class with him!
One of the best profs at Kwantlen. Extremely clear on what he wants on assignmments and even shows the class a mock presentation. Tests are very hard though. Test questions are very specific so you must study every detail.
you absolutely have to take this teacher....he is the best instructor i have EVER taken..if there were more instructors like this, everyone would be a doctor or a lawyer. HE IS THE****TTT!!! (in a good way that is lol)
He is a very enthusiastic prof...sometimes too enthusiastic and tends to go on rants. Very clear, very good prof. Take his class
He i a best teacher ever. he is so chiller u gota take him
Very helpful and extremely organized! i love him.. best prof so far:)
Favorite professor by far, really clear, really helpful..take his class
His tests are sooo easy...study for 20 minz from the books and your;ll get 60% atleast...his lectures are boring. ...REALLY boring..but he is funny sometimes.i would take him again since his class is very easy
Awesome teacher. I recommend him. He is so passionate about criminology. He sometimes get's into rants, but they are actually quite funny. I mean, who wants a boring by the book teacher? The only thing that is bad is the power point note taking. He makes it worth it though. His tests are all multiple choice, fairly easy. Take the notes, you'll pass.
SO NICE! =)No, his lectures aren't borring when compaired to others.. I mean, what can you really expect from a lecture? They're not going to be entertaining 24/7, but his are better than others. As long as you read the notes and LISTEN IN CLASS, you'll do good. Very helpful, I hope I can get him for a class in the future. :)
GREG JENION IS AWESOME! He is very helpful. Lots of notes in this class and his tests are not hard. Just need to pay attention, read, and go over the notes because there is a lot. One term paper at the end but it's not so bad. I was having trouble with it but you just need to ask him and he will definetly help you :)
awesome teacher, the best there is. tests are straight forward from the notes and readings. and there ALL MC!! not a bad sight for the eyes either ;)
this guys pretty amazing for a proff, he has alot of notes but in the end they're worth it. all his exams are straight from the notes and he even gives a study guide of whats going to be on the test. you should honestly take the guys class!!!
VERY nice and helpful! His lectures are the most interesting ones that i ever attended. he knows how to make fun out of studying so that everyone pays attention. His exams are all Multiple choice questions and mostly from his notes. Greg if you are reading this ignore the negetive comments that people have made because you are doing the BEST JOB!
Well, this class is relatively easy. You should be there every class for the notes. He can be pretty funny, though tough to follow along. Test are straight forward and only one assignment. I would take his clas again.
likes to talk but it helps a lot
awesome teacherr, but veryyy borinngg. so hard to get through his classs. he posts nothing online so you gotta attend class in order to get all the notes. tests are quite faree:).
if you show up to class and take notes you'll do fine. he's super helpful and willing to dedicate his own time to helping students on their projects. he's a little strange since he's really passionate about the material, but it makes the class kind of interesting.
He is a great prof. Very into crim, which makes him very helpful and knowledgeable. MC midterm and final. 1 project. show up and get good participation marks.
Greg is a great teacher! He really wants to help his students learn and succeed, and he's passionate. He has interesting stories to go with lectures. This is one class you'll need to read the textbook for so buy it! Such a nice teacher, I definitely recommend him. Understanding, helpful, easy (MC midterms/final), 1 Project. Greg you rock!
Great Prof. Do have to admit lectures are boring, but he tries to make the lectures less boring. Very helpful, by the end of this course with him you want to take more criminology classes, he is fairly easy aswell
He's a really good teacher and really cares about his students. His midterms are all multiple choice and are mainly based on the textbook and his in class notes, so attending class is mandatory. 2 midterms, 1 final and 1 paper.
Amazing professor. Really cares about what he is teaching and the students. 2 multiple choice exams and a group project. project consists of a presentation, poster, and handout. Would take Greg again in a hearbeat. He is so nerdy it is adorable!
I have taken four classes with Greg (1100,3100,4201, and 4150) and he is by far the best teacher. He's very caring, understanding, and helpful. You can go to his office to talk to him anytime. Not only a great prof but a great guy.
Absolutely awesome prof. I've only had him for one course, yet I still keep in touch with him and I'm not even a crim student. He is undoubtedly the most genuinely caring and generous prof at Kwantlen.
Really passionate about the subject and gives very interesting lectures. His tests are also very easy. Great prof although the class isn't very interactive. Recommended
it's a very easy class. i fell every class and still managed to get a B. failing this class would be near impossible.he's a nice and passionate guy. i recommend taking him any day.
Awesome prof. Attendance is a must, as his exams are based off of in class notes. Very passionate about the topic, which is rather catchy! Uses seemingly random/odd comparisons for some things, but they work!
Greg's class was great! Lectures are interesting, he covers a lot of the material from the text - saves you from having to read too much. Take good notes and you'll do well. Multiple choice exams, pretty straightforward. He's a nice guy, wants the best for his students. Term paper was pretty easy. Lenient marker overall. GPA booster! recommendable.
First year & my first Crim prof was Greg Jenion. We had 2 midterms and a final exam. You can pass all the exams just by studying the lecture notes however to get an A you should read the textbook. He gives you readings per week & they are NOT heavy. Super easy to keep up with and there was only 1 assignment. Great prof, take his class!
I Currently have him right now in his crim 1100 class and he is super nice and approachable. During the semester he gives you 2 mid-terms, a final, and one paper due on the last day of class. His tests are pretty easy, all information comes straight out of the textbook and his notes.
Very easy to talk to guy. Very straightforward with what he expects (if you actually listen to what he says) on exams and he does not hesitate to go the extra mile to help students. If you need more copies of the same handout, just ask and he'll help you out! Very friendly guy! I took 3100 with him. One of the more animated profs at Kwantlen.
Greg is my favourite instructor. Very kind, helpful, and approachable. All-around awesome guy. He wants you to succeed. DO THE READINGS. They are essential to understanding the lectures. Tests are all multiple choice and they're HARD, especially if you don't read the assigned materials.
Great class, easy test, fun prof. Read the test book and go to class, you'll pass.
Such a nice guy, really knows his stuff and wants his students to do well. I would definitely take him again.
Greg was an amazing prof! Very caring and understanding. I enjoyed his news stories he would share before the start of each class and tie it into crim. Super easy teacher! He goes through his powerpoint fast so make sure you can keep up!
Greg is an awesome prof. Would love to take a class with him again.
Greg is very passionate about the classes he teaches. Best way to get good grades is to keep up with the readings, he gets a lot of his test material from the textbooks ((especially if there's charts in the reading).
best teacher ever, put notes r not really helpful, read textbook
hes a really good proff, easy midterms, gives notes in class, no pop quizzes or projects/presentations
Lectures were pretty dry but overall good prof. His test were pretty straight forward but had some trick questions. Not a ton of reading and grading only based on tests.
Engaging and interesting. Greg is good at doing what he does and I can tell he loves it. For some reason he always reminds me of Ted Mosby (How I Met your Mother), not because they look alike or anything, just his voice or something. His tests are pretty good, they're 100% multiple choice. The only things that count towards your grade are tests
Overall good guy but first, he needs to check his emails and secondly actually spend time going through the lecture slides. Goes through the lecture slides super fast so you won't even get a chance to fully understand anything or to ask a question. If you do email him regarding something, good luck because you're never going to get a reply....
he is an amazing prof, easy light lectures and for the exams(all multiple choice) you just need to read the book.
Fantastic teacher. Most definitely the BEST Criminology teacher in Kwantlen!!! Hands down! No essays. Gives clear lectures and explains everything to the very core. Lots of information with every lecture, pay attention. Note: not the type of class to take in the early morning if you're not an early bird. Would definitely take again.
Greg is the best crim prof I've had at kwantlen all his tests are multiple choice and he will give u a chance to do a test if u missed it he really wants you to do well in the course
Greg is an amazing prof, he is passionate about what he teaches and doesn't pick on students to speak, his tests are all multiple choice and are easy if you read the textbook and take notes in class, the only complaint is that he doesn't post the powerpoint slides or have a course website so attending class is important. He is very sweet.
he is a very sweet man and he is very interesting to listen to. attendance is key because it is worth marks. my favourite prof so far
Greg is such a great prof, he genuinely cares about his students, he is also VERY knowledgeable and passionate about criminology. I HIGHLY recommend him.
Such a great prof, really enjoyed the lectures and his view on current events. Cares about students marks and makes sure everyone has a fair chance. Easy tests as long as you keep up with readings. Highly recommend.
Amazing. Truthfully, I didn't even buy the textbook and passed with over 80%. He definitely knows what he's talking about, and it's apparent that he's genuinely interested in the progress of his students, as evident by the last day of class where he asked each of us individually how we felt about the final exam.
He is a really good prof. He is very passionate about criminology which is evident in his lectures. If you attend every class you don't need the textbook. He does teach stuff in class that is not in the textbooks. He provides a study guide for each test. There are 2 midterms and a final exam. He gives you 10% for just attending class.
Your grade is 30% midterm1, 30% midterm2, 30% final and 10% participation/attendance. Greg is for sure interested and doesn't have me falling asleep. However, be prepared to take notes. His lectures are him going over powerpoints each class and you taking notes to prepare for his multiple choice only tests. Pay attention and study and you'll do ok
Legend. Very passionate, goes at steady pace, keeps me interested the whole time. He is also very funny, and easy to talk to out of class. I chatted with him over an hour one time. I'm getting A+, but its not an easy A+. FYI I study 34.5 hours a week, that's why i'm getting good grades. Also, the way he says things, it just burns into your head.
He is definitely very passionate, his lectures can be long and you must be prepared to take notes. Fast. He is very chill about classroom rules but do not interrupt him when he's talking about something with great passion. The midterms are easy (2 midterms then final exam) mostly on textbook material. Do not start to slack off near the end.
Greg is so passionate about the course and has interesting lectures. I had him for an 8 am class so the class was usually dead but he kept it alive. His tests are pretty easy and theyre all multiple choice. I really recommend taking him for Crim because he will make it informative and easy for you.
Passing his class with a good grade is super easy if you show up to the class and do your readings. He tells you exactly what he's expecting on the test so you don't waste your time studying unnecessary material. He's caring and wants everyone in his class to be successful and he's super chills.
He was by far my favourite teacher in KPU. Very interesting lectures! He had 2 midterms and a final, none of which were cumulative. Gives study sheets for each exam which guarantees a high %.He gives marks just for attendance. If your not able to finish all the notes in class, go to his office hours and he will print out the slides for you to copy.
Best prof Ive had at kpu! You can tell he cares about students education and where they want to go with it. I got a great mark because he had clear study guides Andrew expectations on what you need to know and what you dont. Thanks Greg!
great prof. you can score a good grade if you follow his directions. gives a study guide before exams and all the exam is from those guides. International guys go for this one.
Greg is VERY passionate about community safety and crime prevention. He admires those who have prior knowledge or seek to develop their knowledge around crime prevention. His tests contain A LOT of content. He provides many handouts. For this course there are only 3 material evaluations: 1 midterm, 1 group project, 1 final. Engagement is worth 10%
Absolutely amazing! Very engaging even when youre exhausted and funny as well. Theres 3 exams (all multiple choice), if you read the Volk book and follow lectures youll do well. If he says its important, listen! Wish I was in CRIM so I could take him again! Hes easy going and easy to talk to, if you get a chance to take him dont miss out.
recommend 100% he's a sweet guy, a little bit quirky, but his classes are interesting, he keeps up with current evens like they're soaps, and even if you dont try you could land with a pretty decent mark. he really does care and is always accessible. if i tried a little harder id end up with an A+, but i slacked and still ended up with a B+!
One of the best teachers imo. He is incredibly passionate about the topic of criminology and you can see it in his lectures. He is very funny and its difficult to NOT pay attention. His tests are all multiple choice and are very easy if you pay attention in class. Would definitely take another class with him again.
such a sweet heart! makes class so fun and everything is multiple choice. Even when i see him out he always says hi and asks how you find the class! love him and def recommend!!
Greg is a great prof. Hes passionate about the material, does a great job at explaining the lesson plans, and is easy to approach if you ever have any question. He wants to see you succeed!
I was definitely not interested in crim but Greg changed that for sure. I'm still no crim major or anything but Greg kept me focused and interested at all times. His midterms were very fair and straight forward. As long as you read the textbooks you will be fine. Very funny and definitely very passionate about what he does. One of my faves for sure
Other than his poor time management skills this prof rocks!
literally best proof ever 3 midterms 30% each 10% attendance. tests are so easy and simple last one is hard other 2 are easy passes
Greg is one of the best profs I have taken. He truly wants every student to do well and gives out multiple hints prior to exams. He provides students with a study guide before every exam which is super helpful. He does not try to trick you in any way so if you have read the required material you will do fine! Take him if you can!
Absolutely love Greg, he is a real gem. I would HIGHLY recommend his class. I was never interested in criminology but his lectures made me really passionate about the course. I am a business major and I am contemplating taking CRIM as a minor. He gives amazing lectures and he's truly the best prof's out there NO JOKE. TAKE HIM!!!!!
one of the best profs out there. Really nice and has understandable course material. His assignments are very straight forward, and his exams are extremely easy if you read and study the provided course material. Would definitely recommend this class!
Greg is a great prof, he is the nicest man you'll meet at KPU. I loved his classes all you have to do to get a good grade is study the exam guides.
Dr. Jenion literally lectures with his eyes closed half the time. That's how passionate he is about criminology. The man literally went out of his way to talk to each and every student after the final exam, and provide suggestions for what to do going forward in other classes. If you haven't already, take a course with him. Legendary prof.
he is the best prof ever, I am a first year student. and his class is just wonderful. he is open to help and u can always find him in office hours. he is EXTREMELY passionate about criminology. He is so freaking kind and caring. TAKE this class if you want a happy semester. hahahaha
Greg is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. The assignment for this class is fairly easy and he gives the time at the end of each class and helps work on the assignment so it's not left till the last minute. Exams are all multiple-choice questions
Greg is hands down my favourite professor at KPU. He was dealing with an unfortunate personal issue during this semester but he still came in every week to teach us and made class an enjoyable experience for us. Grading criteria is very straightforward and fairly easy if you pay attention. If you get the chance, take his class! You won't regret it.
You can tell he is passionate about the course material. But he never answers emails and doesn't give you the PowerPoints. But, he is super nice and extremely helpful. Almost every week we would work on the term project so he can come around and help at every step. Doesn't even make you do the extra readings, only really cares about the textbook.
VERY passionate professor and his genuine interest make the class more enjoyable. His tests were straightforward and questions came out of the book and were similar to practice questions he had us do. Overall great prof and set the standards as a first-year prof. Haven't had a better prof than him
Greg is a super fun professor. His lectures are super fun and interesting.
amazing professor. syllabus is clear. lectures are good and easy to grasp. gives outline for midterms and finals all multiple choice. 2 exams, project and small assignment super easy
Amazing professor
His lectures are very engaging and teach you everything but you need to attend lectures to pass because the textbook chapters are far too long. Exams are easy to do and are on everything from lectures less from textbooks.
I cannot say enough good things about Greg!! If you hate group work, or talking in front of the class... Greg is your guy! 2 exams, 1 pp presentation (don't present in class) and participation based on Moodle site. He is also super funny. He's also Jeffrey Dean Morgan's twin (Denny Duqeutte on Grey's Anatomy & Negan from the walking dead haha)
Super engaging lectures, it's very obvious he's passionate about the subject/teaching. Always happy to answer questions as well. Two mid-terms and a final exam (all multiple choice). If you attend all the lectures, take notes and at least skim through the textbook chapters you should have no problem passing. Wish he taught all the CRIM classes.
Greg was an amazing prof!! Made me change my major to Crim! Super approachable, friendly and understanding. Tests are super easy, as long as you pay attention in class. Cannot recommend him enough!!!
Greg is a passionate professor who makes lectures engaging. Attendance is a must, but exams are manageable if you stay on top of readings. Unstuckstudy proved helpful for studying alongside the textbook.
Greg is extremely passionate on criminology! He genuinely made me want to attend his lectures. He is great at explaining and always happy to answer questions. I am genuinely sad that I am no longer in his class. I would highly recommend him for crim. On a side note, he does not post lectures/notes so make sure to get everything down in class.
Greg didn't provide much detail when presenting his lecture, which made note-taking challenging. He doesn't post his slides; if you prefer reviewing lectures to improve your notes etc. I wouldn't recommend him. I would suggest Greg to those who prefer tests. He calculates the final grade based on two midterm exams, a final exam, and participation.
If you attend class and read the textbook you will do well. Awesome teacher and person.
Super straightforward with expectations! A total of 4 assignments with 3 being exams worth 30% each. Gregs lectures are engaging and interesting, everything he teaches is what is on the exams! Would definitely recommend him 10/10 prof
Best professor I had last semester, communicates well with students and doesn't require much to pass his course.
Greg has by far been my favourite prof at KPU. I had taken Crim 1100 last semester with him, and you can tell that he is truly passionate about what he teaches. Every lecture flew by, and he always made things very entertaining. I would tell everyone who is taking Crim at KPU to take a class with him!
Explains concepts really well and very understanding. His lectures are moderate, and exams can result well if paying attention to class and have taken notes from all of his lectures. Overall, he's a great professor who's very passionate about teaching the course.
This professor truly cares about his students success, he is very passionate about what he teaches. As long as you attend lectures, read the textbook beforehand, and take detailed notes, you will be set up to succeed. All his tests and assignments are straightforward and easy to understand.
Basically impossible to do poorly in his class. Provides study guides for every single test which cover 90% of the material you're tested on. Attendance matters, kinda wish he would post all the slides, but easy to listen to and great at explaining concepts. Tbh getting less than 80% is harder than getting 100%. Great teacher. Funny guy. Supa Cool
A great professor in kpu ever , would definitely take again , if you wanna do great just take his class . Awesome , mind blowing teacher . He is putting all his efforts in the class .
His lectures were a bit confusing as-well as the study guide, but he was an amazing teacher who had easy tests and was very understanding. A lot of stuff to read in the textbooks but it is not 100% necessary to pass. Cool guy, talks too much about political opinions though.
