He is really helpful and wants you to learn the material. The Quizzes he gives really help on what you need to learn for lab exams. Overall highly recommended!

His class is very straight forward. You move at a fast pace! Each lecture is a new chapter (two chapters a week). No quizes,no homework, 4 exams. He gives you all his lecture slides..NO NOTE TAKING :D...over all if you go to class, pay attention, and study the study guides you will do fine.

He gives you notes, study guides and tells you everything you need to know for the test. You will actually learn in his class. He was a great teacher, I would definitely recommend him.

The best teacher I have had while attending HFCC! I had Dr. K for both A&P 233 & 234. He truly cares about his students learning the material. You absolutely have to study to pass...no easy way out to get an A, but it's certainly obtainable. His lectures are very imformative, and he makes them easy to understand.

Great prof but hard, quizes are easy tests are pretty hard he tells you what will be on the exams but overall the class was prob the hardest class I took.

He is very true to his syllabus. He gives powerpoints that are very clear. He does not really surprise you on the test. Everything is very fair. However, he is very boring and can be rude sometimes.90% of the class shows up only on test days. He thinks he is really funny, at least he has good humored jokes. Overall, I would recommend him.

I think that he was a wonderful teacher. He likes things done a certain way, because hes a young kid on the block, and thats 2 keep his class in line. I got an A, but I worked for it. Use lab wisely. go over your lecture that night or the next day. Than continue to look at your lectures everyother day. Use the study guide,he gives u the tools.

LOVED Dr. K! I was hesitant about taking this class in the beginning due to others telling me how "hard" it would be, but he made everything crystal clear! He has a fun style of teaching, but talks very softly, so try to stay alert. I highly recommend him for any A&P class.

I had Dr. K for 233 and 234, LOVE him. He makes sure you really understand and not just memorize the material. Attending his lectures are very helpful. A&P is not easy, you do have to study, but Dr. K makes it possible.

DR. K is a very thorough professor. His lectures are well thought out and available on Ucompass to print out. Without him, it would be really hard to fully understand the respiratory system. This is college and for the person who complained about 85-100 questions on a lecture test should get used to this. Your not in highschool any more

One of the best instructors I have had. Easy going and straight forward to the point that you know what you're going to get tested on. As long as y ou show up and apply yourself you should have no problems in this class.

Great teacher. The tests will be hard if you don't make it to lecture at least a couple times a week. The books are useless in this class. Save 350 dollars and just show up to lectures. The PPP's are enough to get you by if you study. Tests are 90 plus questions, but he will tell you what's on he test if you show up. Excellent teacher overall.

He is very knowledgeable; but his exams are extremely hard!! Its almost like hes trying to trick or fail people. Also, we never used the book, and you have to make your own copies of the lectures...He doesnt hand out anything. ITs your responsiblility to make tons of copies (i had to pay for them out of pocket, my copier at home is broken)

Buy a hearing aid! You cannot hear him! He speaks way too soft! HAve money put aside for copies! HE doenst provide lecture material! YOu are responsibe to make your own copies of all the lecture material! HIs exams are extremely hard! ITs like hes trying to fail people! If you are a B student, prepare to get a D! I have to retake the class!

He is a good teacher for Anatomy and Physiology. If you study his lectures (Power Points), you will do good on the tests. You don't even use the book, I bought it for nothing. I got an A- but I worked for it. I highly recommend him.

yes 80-100 questions but the study guide helps. Some of his questions are basic questions like match definations with words. t/f, all multipy choice. Hes really nice and helpful. His exams are not that terrible just pay attention and youll pass. If you want to learn take him. If you want a easy way out not him. u tube videos helped so much ppl!

Dr Karapetian is by far the best teacher I have ever had. I wish I could have him for every class I take. The thing I like about him is that even when you are looking at things at the microscopic level, he makes you understand where you are in the body and helps you understand the big picture. Dr. Karapetian is probably the best professor that I have had. I have experience at the University level also, and he by far surpasses anyone I have ever had. The material is difficult, and you will need to put your time in, but Dr. K makes it a little easier. He teaches from lecture and tests from there, and somewhat avoids the textbook.

The best most caring teacher ever His lectures are very organized and his exams correspond to his lectures to the T. He writes his exams in the exact order he teaches which makes studying so much more efficient. He understands life gets in the way and tries to accommodate his students accordingly. His voice is soft but you get used to it.

I took Dr. Karapetian for BIO 131, 233, and 234. You never need the book. Just print off his power points and take detailed notes. Very helpful, willing to go above and beyond, makes a point to tell you, you get the grade you work for. Little hard to catch him in the morning, but he's very prompt. Ask if you don't understand.

A very soft spoken man. Very precise in lectures and if you do not understand something he will help you try and understand it. The youtube videos for lab are EXTREMELY helpful. Record lectures and don't weekend cram or exams. It won't work in this class!!!!

He was so unique on the last day of class I gave him a werthers original .He is fair and respectful. This was a class I also looked forward to attending. Lectures can seem long but Dr. Karapetian makes them enjoyable and easy to understand. What can I say about Dr. Karapetian? One of the best instructors I have ever had. Takes 30-40 page chapters and makes it into a powerpoint. Always available during his office hours if I didn't understand anything. He's not easy but if you study the powerpoints, you should get an A.

His class was honestly one of my favorite classes at HFC. His lectures are interesting and so helpful. He was willing to help students in any way he can. His lecture exams were a little tough, but if you study his lecture PowerPoints and pay attention in class, you will pass them. Lab was easy as well if you put the time and effort to study.

Nice professor & good teacher but don't listen to the people below. I, along with many other students, were not fans of the teaching style. There are 4 lecture exams that range from 85-90 questions, 3 lab exams that are around 75 questions each, and about 10 quizzes. Oh yeah no curve. Prepare to earn your grade. This is not your average bio course

Love Dr. Karapetian! I must agree, the class was a bit difficult for myself & the students below but thats because it was taken in the spring so we had to learn 14/15 weeks of material in half the time. You'll do great with Karapetian, but I highly recommend not taking any other courses if you take this in the spring/summer.

Best Biology professor out there. He's very respectful. He's clearly very passionate about the subject and does a great job teaching it. I found his lectures very interesting and enjoyed every one of them as he shows great enthusiasm and he's also very funny. Exams are not bad if you attend lectures. Dr. Karapetian is an amazing teacher. He makes all the info super easy to understand. He makes class fun and enjoyable. However, the tests are a lot. They are generally around 70 questions. It requires loads of studying, but as long as you understand the material you should be fine. I'd definitely recommend him.

It suprises me how some students put in false comments about professors! Dr.K repects each and every student even the ones who ask silly questions! he simplifies the lecture as much as he can but A & P is not an easy class, he is a fair grader and does not favor anyone, he is always ready to answer questions and repeat explanation over and over.

Here is the TRUTH about Dr. Karapetian. The key aspect of this class is actually attending lecture, he avoids the book! Coming to class is your first step in actually performing well. You cannot rely on the PowerPoint alone, because he may explain examples or highlight key terms that will appear on the exam.

Dr. K is one of the most passionate teachers at HFC! You can really tell he loves his job and makes it his goal for you to succeed. Grading is clear cut and no exceptions are made. He even allows early college students to attend other lectures if you miss one due to SAT or other testing that interferers. Everything is based on his lectures!

This professor really cares about his job and is a great teacher. The class is hard and not at all an easy A. if you attend lectures, record, take notes, pay attention, and study to understand you will do fine. Lab is also alot easier if you remember tips and hints given to you and spend a little extra time with the models.

During lecture, he goes through each of his powerpoints and really explains each concept to the point where you could teach the class instead. He's an amazing teacher and is hilarious. If you study the powerpoints (like a crazy person) for each unit, you will pass his unit exams. I would not take BIO 233 with anyone else.

Seriously such an amazing teacher! I will only take anatomy with him. He's so laid back and caring. If you need to go over anything or need extra help he is always willing to! Quizzes are a piece of cake if you study, tests are a bit challenging but if you study hard you will pass this lab part of the class. His videos on youtube help out a lot!

Students are graded only on tests and quizzes. Dr. K. is very respected in the classroom and willing to answer any questions. He is very knowledgeable on the subject. However, you really have to study to get good grades and I find his recommended way of note-taking to be ineffective. Also, he thinks he is very funny, but he is not.

Go to class, record his lectures, and read his powerpoint slides. He'll go over something twice if the class doesn't understand it. His lab exams and quizzes are so easy. Some of the questions on his exams are a bit tricky, but just study ahead of time! Overall, this professor is cool.

I only took him for lab but God he's the man. I still have no idea how to say his name. He helps you if you need it. I don't get why people are saying he doesn't care about his students it's the exact opposite. He jokes around all the time. His quizzes are easy and he tells you whats on them. YOU HAVE TO PUT IN TIME AND WORK TO PASS THE LAB EXAMS.

Dr. K is the best A&P professor I have ever had! On day one he goes over the syllabus in full detail (content, grading, etc.). The grade is based on 4 lecture exams, 3 lab practicals, and 5 lab quizzes. For the most part, his tests are easy if you study, and he tells you exactly what to focus on. I have never had such a caring teacher as him.

Dr. Karapetian is very helpful and has office hours 4 days a week, which Ive been to and hes been extremely helpful, so Im not sure what other reviewers are talking about. Go to class, listen, and get an A. Bonus, hes funny!

Wonderful professor! He is very clear in what he expects and makes sure to explain everything in detail. He is not condescending if you have any questions and really thinks of the students a lot. He is very helpful and reviews the material too, but be sure to listen! This class can seem kind of intimidating but he tries to make it easier for you!

The best professor I've ever had by far. He is really funny and the lectures are interesting. This class was amazing with his help, I wish he taught all of my other classes. However, I will say that Bio id a pretty tough class, so, STUDY! However, he will try his best to make it as easy as possible. I definitely recommend him to anyone taking bio.

Dr. Karapetian is probably the best professor at HFC. He is so amazing, gives no hw and is so caring. Everything in his class is straight forward and there are no surprise quizzes. He makes lab super easy and gives a lot of time in it to study. Im taking him for 234 this semester because I dont want any one else to teach me this material. 10/10

A GREAT professor. He is very intelligent, yet he explains things in a way where it is very easy to understand. The most caring professor that I have ever had. Just study and don't be lazy, and you'll pass.

Very hardcore teacher, but actually teaches the subject. He makes his own exams, which can be difficult but never too unreasonable because he teaches everything that is going to be in it; unlike most science profs at HFC, I would say this one is respectable, teaches, & helps you learn & comprehend. You dont really use the textbook, just his slides

Anatomy is a tough class. Lecture exams are really hard but lab is much easier. Dont buy the book. All you use are powerpoint slides and his online youtube videos for lab. I wish he could make lecture a little easier but he is a very respectable and nice professor. He doesnt make you feel stupid when asking questions unlike other professors.

He takes his time teaching, Also all of his Powerpoints are the exam! He really makes you Love medicine and helps you grasp the knowledge using real like Scenarios that relate to you. He has been the best teacher i have taken hands down

Explains things very clearly and always open for questions if you dont understand. Genuinely wants everyone to pass and uses a lot of real life examples to make things easier to remember. Always open to people coming to him for extra help if they need better explanations on things. He really makes a hard subject, a lot easier to understand

Dr. Karapetian is an amazing biology professor. He genuinely cares about making sure his students understand the material and is more than happy to go over models and material until the student is satisfied. I only had him for lab, but he honestly made class so fun and interesting. If you're given the chance to take him, it'd be foolish not to.

Best teacher out there. This man needs some type of Noble Prize. He's absolutely amazing. Super understanding and knows how to relate to you. He really cares about each individual student and tries his best to have each and everyone one of them pass. His tests are straight forward. He'll tell you that everything is fair game, which it is.

He explains things in ways that make sense for a bio class. He is a bit awkward, but once you get to know him he will open up and start showing who he truly is. I definitely wouldn't have received an A if it wasn't for him, after going over things for the whole class, he will go over it again and again until you understand! Best teacher ever!

Cant lie to you, Bio 233 is a tough class. Surprised? I hope not. Dr. Karapetian is by far the best science teacher I have ever had. He is a genuine person and extremely knowledgeable. He will curve tests if students tended to miss a question. I cant think of anyone who disliked him in my class. Dont buy the textbook. Take. This. Professor.

Best biology professor I've ever had!! He's extremely helpful if you have a question or need help in the course and never easy to talk to. Anatomy & Physiology is a hard course no matter the teacher but he makes it easier to understand. Lecture exams are much harder than lab but if you put a few days in to study you'll be set.

Dr. K is one of the best professors I've ever had. he was great about explaining difficult concepts in a way most students could understand. I liked the way Dr. K taught the course with enthusiasm every day and kept every student engaged in the class. his lab was so much fun and if you study well you'll pass his exams with an A.

Literally amazing. You need to attend lecture to pass. Take notes, and just pay attention tbh. Took him for two semesters and got only TWO homework assignments. Hes clear and concise, and explains everything well. I would sit through these classes again a hundred times if every teacher I had was as good as he was

Dr. Karapetian is a very professional and respectful instructor. He is helpful and intentional about wanting everybody to succeed in his class. Of course though you have to put in the work to pass, but he is always there to help out if you are struggling. You have to be willing to open up and ask for it! But overall he made A&P very interesting.

Given this class was online due to COVID, he was very considerate. He made the information relatable and threw in a few jokes as well. As long as you study, you passed... pretty straightforward and fair grading. You dont need the lecture book.

Dr. Karapetian has been accessible and willing to help throughout the entire semester. He has been willing to answer with any question I have had and help go over anything I have needed. This is all online so learning the models has been a little more difficult than normal, but his videos are thorough and if you study fro the lectures youll do fine

Dr. Karapentian is an awesome professor, If you are needing any additional explanation he is always available. He definitely is someone I trust to go to for just about anything. He will tell you what you really need to pay attention to in the lectures. He is genuine and his excitement for the subject matter he teaches does rub off on to us.

Hes a amazing professor! He responds quickly to emails and is very generous. Lecture exams are based off his PPs. Hes very precise and go in depth when he lectures, its impossible not to understand. He is a fair grader and gives lab quizzes every other week! Lab exams and quizzes are a breeze as long as you study. If you study youll pass!

Genuinely one of the best professors Ive ever had. His exams questions are taken directly from his lectures I used the textbook maybe twice the entire semester. He is a great lecturer, the content is easy to follow and understand. He gives you everything you need to succeed. He is very knowledgable and works with you to make sure you understand the content. Would 100% take a class with him again. All tests are based off lectures, and he makes sure he emphasizes items that are going to be on the test.

I had him as a lab professor. One of the best professors at Henry Ford. He wants you to succeed. Again, show up, study material. If you do what youre supposed to its impossible to fail!

Dr. K has a lab book that is nothing less than perfect for his class. He has a lab book for 233 and 234, his lab book is the models that are used in the class. If you watch the videos he has created and get his lab book there is now way you're going to fail unless you just don't put work in. He is helpful, funny, and kind. I love this professor

Dr. K is a great prof!! Get his lab manual and the supplement. One thing that really helped me was to get a clear page protector and place it over the unlabeled pictures in the supplement and use dry erase markers to test myself before the exam. Dr. K truly cares about the success of his students! He is approachable and available for help-just ask!

I don't know how you could fail his class unless you aren't putting in the work. His exams and practicals are very straightforward. Extra credit on every test. His lectures are direct and easy to understand. Lab book is perfect and his youtube is helpful. He's hilarious and kind to his students. He doesn't overcomplicate this course. Take him.

This professor is one of the best i've ever taken. He really cares about his students and really wants you to succeed. He makes sure that all his students understand the material and if they need help he is very available to help. You have all the material to do very well in his class if you show up and participate. He's understanding and an amazing lecturer. His tests are straight from the notes. Just listen to lecture and you'll pass. You can tell he tries his best and is always there to answer questions. He provides drawings to help you learn and slows down during harder lectures. Everything is set straight in the beginning and the semester goes smoothly.

Dr K is the best!! If you to pass anatomy take his class. His lectures are very detailed and he is great at teaching them in an interesting (not boring) way. He is very caring and will always help you with any questions you have. Probably my favorite professor at HFC.

Great Professor. He is kind of light-spoken. The lectures were a bit heavy. If you don't study the lectures a few times a week you won't get an A. The lab was much better. There were around 85-90 questions on the lecture and lab exams. He was great but there was too much information for you to just scan over it. Overall it was a good class.

Professor K is a fantastic teacher - his lectures are engaging and he genuinely cares about student success. While the material is dense, using Unstuck ai along with the provided resources helped me grasp the concepts. Attendance is a must, but the effort pays off with a solid understanding of the content.

He is a nice teacher. He cares a lot about the success of every student in his class. There is a lot of concept to understand and TONS of memorizing, especially lab, but he would help as much as he could.

He is such a great professor . I enjoy coming to his lectures he is so knowledgeable and engaging. Dr. K is an amazing professor. His lectures are clear and if you take the time to really understand and learn the material, this class will be much easier. All anatomy classes are hard but Dr. K will answer any question you have and and help you understand the material better as well as go over the whole unit the class before an exam.

I had Dr.K for both bio 233 and 234. He constantly clarifies questions we may have, and talks to his students without feeling dismissive. All the lecture exams comes straight from his lectures making it easy to focus on. He's very down to earth, has a sense of humor, and such a kind soul.I wouldn't recommend anyone else to take this course.
