Mr Kent is straight and to the point, in terms of the course material. He doesn't stray from the core material. He is always available, either during class or at any time via email. If it is a question he cannot answer via email, he will have a presentation ready to go for class, to help explain the problem you are having.

With the A+ certification classes, it doesn't get much better than Mr. Kent. He has a vast knowledge base that is very helpful. A very valuable resource. With years of experience, and years of experience running his own business, he is able to relate the material very well.

Very good class, I liked that it was mostly hybrid. Using testout over Moac labs was night and day. Testout was much better. The professor let you work at your own pace with friendly reminders when assignments are due. I would recommend this class to everyone.

Great professor for a hybrid class!

This class was taught using testout. Course was easy but time consuming. testout videos run very long, practice tests take hours, tons of labs. You can easily spend 60 hours in testout throughout the course.

Finish it in a few weeks. Finish it in 10 weeks. Its self paced, and everyone at this point should know what that means. If you dont mind not having a book, and being able to not drive to school that day, then this class is sweet. Just remember to participate. If you have trouble, bring it up. Attendance is only mandatory by emailing him.

This class was a hybrid campusonline course. If you can do the work online and have no questions you can complete the entire course from home. However if you have questions or are unsure about the material you can come to class and ask away and he will be more than glad to answer.

A very flexible teacher; deadlines for work are very flexible and if you need help it is easy to get either in person or online. The class is kept updated on any changes in assignments, class, etc. promptly and, beyond assignments, there is little to be confused over.

Love that you work at your own pace. What is expect is very plain and clear. Although I wish he graded more often. Also, I absolutely LOVE TestOut. Endless amounts of information, and its designed for you to succeed. I don't like how boring the videos are though.

All of the assignments were on Testout. Most of the time, we didn't have to come into class if we had our work done for the week.

He is a great professor. Very laid back but will help you any time you need help. He has a very busy lifestyle but he will make time for his students and will help them out any way he can. Highly recommended!

Overall, this class covers pretty much everything you need to know about computer maintenance in decent detail. It can be rough at times if you don't study everything, but it is completely doable.

I loved the Professor! He was CRYSTAL clear on what he expected from you as a student. You couldnt get much clearer about such. We were basically online for our TEST-OUT course, I wish the course within that came with better lectures, maybe from the professor himself to help clarify the dry material the online portion gave.

I like the structure, being able to work on your own time, however I fell behind making it a lot of work on myself. Pretty easy class all-and-all. I'd rather be doing labs on the computer than in class to save time and work. Cool class, nice teacher

I liked the class for the most part. Most if not all the work was done online with testout. I liked how the class was set up, we basically were given what we had to do and at our pace we would complete assignments. It felt like an online class but there was a teacher there if you needed. Class was a lot of work but overall it was good.

Makes the class easier for commuters

This course covered ethical issues in IT industry. The free form design of the course really re-inforced how ethics is not specific to the industry but a fundamental choice of each individual.

Pretty good teacher. He is real and understanding. Ask a lot of questions to get the best understanding of what is required.

The Assignments are clear, some labs were a challenge, but as long as you ask him, you will get an answer anytime. Very informative, and the grading criteria can't be clearer, which is do your work, and you'll pass.

Greg was a great instructor, he's very receptive to trying different things with technology. Unlike many instructors, he will answer your questions and get back to you in a timely fashion! He will work with you if your having any problems with the work and or having personal problems preventing you from being there. Would definitely take again!

I think a more hands on approach would help a lot of students that take this class, the labs are cool but sometimes it was a pain to switch the views and look for small things on the motherboards. also most motherboards come with manuals that detail the specific ports and other various layouts for convenience. the labs had layouts but no port info

In this class my professor was clear and understanding. Gave concise dates on when things were due and was pretty understanding if you had something to do or something came up preventing you from making it to class.

The very first day of class clearly defines the rest of the term. Pay Attention, he has a lot to say and isn't afraid to talk. By far the most intelligent instructorprofessorteacher I've ever had, and I'm sure exists at Baker.

The practice exam questions in the individual sections are a very good tool for studying for the final however, the labs do a better job at showing you how to do it in practice. If this was a 2-day a week class i think it would be good to assign labs due on one day and tests on on another. I do feel that i have learned the objectives of this class.

Mr. Kent was very helpful in class. He also understood that the life happens and was very accommodating toward helping many students including myself achieve the grade they worked for.

The class is great as long as you stay ahead you are more then welcome to work from home. There is not a final unless you do poorly in the class then the final is considered to be more like extra credit. The class is fun and exhilarating. But you have to participate or you will fail the class. Staying ahead is a wise option just make sure you keep.

He didn't do any lecturing in the class I was in. The students studied from TestOut, which I felt didn't do a very good job with 'hammering in' the material so-to-speak. The teacher himself though gave good-quality input though as needed whenever the students asked questions though, and was clear about what he would like the students to accomplish.

For a testout class Mr. Kent understands life. I've had him enough now and he knows I work in the field at a mid to senior level position. So he understand when I say I'll get the work done on X day and can expect it. I respect him for understanding life isn't always cut and dry.

The course itself was not the most interesting, however the instructor made the class more involved and made it worth attending.

The class I took was a Windows 8 class but we also learned how to use virtual machine. This was not part of the course but we were shown how to use it and what we can and can't do. This was something i had never done before but wanted to do so was a nice surprise.

Having this course as a distance learning course meeting twice a week at an accelerated pace was a challenge but Professor Kent was always there for guidance.

Overall a very good experience in the class. Professor was always willing to help out and answer questions as well as being very quite to reply to messages and email. There was a lot of homewowk in this course but that is mostly do to the Microsoft online labs being somewhat long and tedious sometimes as well as it being 8 weeks instead of 16.

Overall, MNP-2210 was way too easy due to the use of MOAC. The labs just give you everything step by step down to the most minute detail making it nearly impossible to miss even a single point on the lab. However Mr. Kent's lectures are some of the best I have ever had, and are extremely informative about the subject matter at hand.

PROF KENT IS AN OUTSTANDING HUMAN . HE IS VERY LENIENT WITH THE WORK AND ASSIGNMENTS. BUT YET HE MAKES SURE THAT THE HOMEWORK OR ASSIGNMENTS ARE DONE WHICH MAKES US LEARN ALL THE ACADEMIC THINGS PROPERLY.

took an 8 week class so there was a lot of homework and was easy to fall behind. Was a server admin class as well so we used moac. The homework itself wasn't difficult, but the quantity of it built up quickly. The instructor was helpful and prompt with answering questions.

Some of the best lectures I've had so far have been in his classes. Has a wide range of real world experience so lectures are always engaging and interesting. Very fair grader and is very understanding.

Kent does his best to make sure you understand the material, and for individuals that may be more advanced in the class and may not necessarily need to sit through the lectures, he gives you the option of completing your lab/home work during the lecture. This is the 3rd time I have had him as an instructor, looking forward to next time.

Teacher knows his material. Very clear assignments and criteria. Accessible outside class and if you do the assignments, you will get the credit that is due.

One of the best professors I have ever had in my college career. He is very knowledgeable in the work that he does. He is willing to go above and beyond to help his students in and out of the classroom. He is very accessible outside of the classroom by email. Has a deep well of knowledge both in Information Security and life experience.

Professor Kent is a one of a kind professor, he's caring, insightful, and most of all he knows his stuff. His feedback is thorough, his lectures are concise and he responds promptly after hours. I would take any of his classes in a heartbeat.
