Easy going good guy. Very very easy.. but it is health after all
yeah Super Coach!!!
Knows a lot. Uses the overhead projector way too much.
Def a hottie, he was worth wakin up 8am for. Knows his stuff, willing to help u, fair grading take him as often as u can
Talk about good personality! He is so clear, pretty leinant and his tests are pretty easy. (mostly use his notes to study) Of course, teachers like him never teach biology I but isn't life always like that? LeBlanc for Le Bio!
Very good teacher. Knows a lot of info. Learned a lot.
man, because hes so good looking you cant help but want to pay attention, therefore you get an A. he makes it really easy. and the paper is a breeze to write.
very easy class, and he made it fun. he shows a lot of videos and he is very lenient with things. i changed the topic for my research paper at least 3 times and he was with me all the way.
knows alot of things that were not in the book and very nice man to listen to...and to watch...yum!
#1 he is NOT hott! if you are a good note taker then take him he just talks.. a short verbal quiz everyweek lastly, don't be scared about the research paper its not that bad he ask for copies of the websites and books you used in a folder but i highly doubt he goes through all of them. Just a OKAY teacher..
Prof. LeBlanc is a pretty good and fair guy. His weekly quizzes are rough but if you take good notes and study for 5 minutes the night before you'll be fine. He is extremely knowledgeable and a pretty cool guy. If your looking for an easier Health class he would not be my first pick but is a solid teacher nonetheless.
Okay just started his class this week and I am just posting on here about some of the prior post about this professor. What are some of you ladies thinking. How in this fuC8ing world is the professor hot. His mustach thing is horrible. He makes me look like a hottie. only thing I can think of is professor leblanc writes these post about himself
this professor is amazeing. he knows the information like the back of his hands. his tests are insanely easy if you pay attention, take good notes, and actually go to class. the research paper is a little long. but if you dont leave it to the last minute you'll be fine. hes a great professor. i got an A.
hated this class
Okay, he definetly takes health seriously but thats a good thing because his enthusiasim makes it a little more interesting. His paper is a little long, but you are going to get stuck doing one no matter what teacher you get. As long as you go to class and copy down his notes, you will pass his class no problem...and his mustache is hot! kidding!
This guy is great, he makes the class interesting and you learn a lot. He is a very good professor. If you pay attention and take good notes you don't even need the textbook. His tests are very easy if you study a little bit. Recommended
Dude.. this guy is amazing.. go to class, take his notes... review your notes for 10-30 minutes before the second class of the week... get a perfect score on quiz.. memorize all the stuff from quizzes.. get an A on test... He's easygoing and answers questions you may have... oh and hes got 500 inch biceps.. what an inspiration
you learn a lot from his class(es) even just from listening. he's very fair and a great example. he knows what he's talking about. just study for every quiz, test and COME TO CLASS (notice: he takes attendance) and you should be more than fine. take him! Great teacher! enjoyed him & learnt a lot.
great professors!!!
He's very easy going, and will always answer your questions about anything. Pay attention in class you'll do great on the tests and quizes; don't wait until the last minute for the paper required and you're fine.=P
He is a good professor. Just go to class and take notes and you will do fine on the quizzes and tests. 8-10 page research paper required but dont leave to last minute. Good professor.
his class was fun,had 2 quizes of 5 points and a final exam ( 30 ques ), though his tests are not that easy.quizes are not multiple choice but final was multiple choice.only 3 lab reports throughout the semester.all done.easy grader.overall excellent professor. A+ quality.TAKE HIM !!!
AWESOME.. he gives quizes every week but they are so easy... i studyed for about 10 min before class and passed them all.. his test are a little hard but over all he is an AMAZING Prof. hes really easy going TAKE HIM his classes are not borning and we got let out early almost every class
I don't know why everyone likes this guy. He's all over the place and doesn't teach anything. I used this site to pick my teachers and this was not helpful at all. He also assigns a research paper 8 pages long by the end of the course and grades it extremely hard. PICK SOMEONE ELSE. and he is not hot like everyone says either.
He's hard dont take him
THE WORST PROFESSOR EVER!!!...do not bother picking this professsor based on the good comments...he sucks...He gives you notes but his test comes from the book..he cancels class all the time..and then rushes to complete work..he ended up giving my class a test covering 8 chapters because of his absence..DO NOT TAKE HIM YOUR BOUND TO FAIL!
Had him for Tennis. Made class fun and was willing to help even though I sucked at the game. He grades on effort
A nice guy, easy class, but pretty boring. Assigned a big paper at the end- requested a copy of EACH source cited, etc which I don't like at all, mainly because I use a lot and handed in a stack of papers 3Xs bigger then my report - babyish tracking of whether or not you can actually write a paper of your own without plagiarism involved.
very boring...can't stand him....he puts me to sleep when i go to his class
This guy man, he'll give you guys a paper and require a copy of each source you have, does not use the book at all. Got an A for the class but worked my ass off. gives a project pretty EZ, just be prepared to do alot of memrizing. Overall, good teacher!
Nice guy but grades the paper HARD (start early). Open ended quizzes every class based on notes from previous class, so plan to review for 10 mins in advance instead of small talk in the hall. Tests are confusing bc the questions have more than one answer, he thinks that if u can understand what the question is asking, he's "giving you the answer."
oh man did i hate doing that long research paper & his confusing tests & waking up 2 drive an hour 2 school just to find out he didn't show up that day! but other than that, i can honestly say i learned so much about true nutrition (not gimmicks) from mr.leblanc. this class changed my life i eat so many more fruits & vegetables now. dont need book
He's a young man so u would hope his videos would b atleast modern but they were from the 80's! His classes were very boring for it to be health I thought it would be more interesting!
He is probably the best Health teacher at MCC, however his class is still somewhat difficult. You don't need a book, but it can be helpful for reference. You get a lot of quizzes and a few tests and a very long research paper. I hope you like taking notes if you take his class.
He is one of the younger professors at MCC and not only knows the material he speaks about but lives it! Attendence is pretty important for note taking and his quizzes consisted of 5 questions and an extra credit based off of notes. I learned so much from him and because of him I am now following a path toward physical education and nutrition.
Attendance isn't mandatory, but there are weekly quizzes. He doesn't really use the book. Tests and quizzes are from the lectures. Is easily led off topic. 3 research article summaries and 1 paper. Very easy, but very boring.
Leblanc is a good professor. You need to attend class and take good notes, and then you will be fine. Just review your notes before the quizzes, and those should be easy. The tests are not too bad either as long as you study the notes. The research paper is not as long as others ask for, but start early and follow directions. You'll learn a lot!
Where do I start? I can't have respect for someone who says study the notes and then has questions that aren't from the notes. I don't care If it was my fault that I trusted you. I take a man for his word because it's his most valuable asset. If you violate that.. Well let's keep it at that. I'm aggravated.
I really love the material but I did not like the way he taught the class. You can tell he isn't well prepared. He knows a lot about certain aspects of the material but doesn't present it in a clear fashion. His quizzes and tests are hard to study for. Asks very obscure questions from lecture on them. Passable class but tough for A students
Ok, this guy needs to know the difference between teaching and lecturing, I am taking his class now during the summer and I can't stand it. 2 quizzes per week: not terrible quizzes but way too many notes for a quiz with only 5?'s. Exams: difficult...way too many notes to memorize, and assigned a long research paper... do not take this guy.
It's possible to get an A or a B, but that would mean you have to really attend all his classes. Quizzes are ALL based on his notes in class. His class forces you to write down his notes.. NO textbook is needed even though he insists you need it. Basically the class = lots of writing and a boring class...but it's possible to do well
He was a great professor! I attended all his classes, took notes and studied the notes for the exams and I got an A. The paper is a little long and a little hard but it is doable!!
Not helpful at all. Grades are made up of the quizzes and final. Notes are not clear at all. Some questions on the quiz and final have nothing to do with the notes. Will not take him ever again.
Knows a lot about what he teaches. A great professor.
I really enjoyed this class (PED 139). It was my favorite class I ever took at MCC thus far, I learned a lot from his classroom time and then enjoyed the hands on fitness part in the fitness center. We got to apply what we learned in class directly after. Quizzes and homework are super easy as was the final. Don't need textbook. Nice guy, take him
Awesome professor! Tells you what you need to know, and very easy to get a good grade if you just look over the material! One of my favorite classes at middlesex, never expected to like it so much! 100% recommended!
This was absolutely my favorite class at MCC so far and I am in my second year. The stuff we learned in the classroom was extremely beneficial to real life fitness and health. Then after that we went directly to the fitness center to apply what we learned and that was was really fun. We really got to work hands on to improve our fitness! nice guy 2
overall he is ok but he doesn't use the book at all and his notes are out of the book. I recently was in his summer class this semester and his class was very hard because it is based on a research paper, quizzes(daily),and two exams. If your looking for a summer class that is easy this isn't it. In order to pass you need to memorize 10 chapters.
professor leblanc is a cool guy. His class is easy if you attend it as well as take the notes. i brought the book and didn't even use it, the book is not necessary. he has weekly quizzes which are manageable to pass even if you just read the notes before the quiz, he's sometimes disorganized with the presentation of notes, but he is very smart
Professor Leblanc is alright. The class I took was Nutrition and it was the worst class I've taken so far. I feel like he gave a lot of unnecessary quizzes just to get a grade, which hurt my grade a lot. The research paper was confusing and long as well. It's ridiculous that we have to take these kind of courses. I bought and never used the book.
Professor Leblanc does not have a good grading scale and his quizzes and tests are made to lower your GPA. If you can avoid him by all means do so.
Awsome guy! Very smart and you can learn a lot. Take his class very fun and an easy A.
Professor Leblanc was a really good professor, I took him for his hardest class. The Ped 210 (only offered in fall). One project, quizzes, two exams, and a final exam. The class requires a lot of study hours, but is worth it for Athletic Trainers, Physical Therapy, or Exercise Science Majors! Best class to transfer for Ped Majors!
I made the grave mistake of not attending more classes. If you take his PED 1 credit course, attending class is 50% of the grade. He's a good professor that has an abundance of fitness/nutritional knowledge. He does favor the kids who are more into fitness and working out. Just make sure to attend class and you'll get an A.
He's actually really nice. Got an A. The tests are really easy, right off the notes you take in class. Review them before test and pass. I would look at the notes on my way to school and passed all of them. Final was also easy, very straightforward. Definitely take him.
Professor Leblanc really knows his material Tests are really tough so make sure that you study very hard He is more helpful in office hoursHe might be difficult to deal with sometimes but once you get to know him it's not so bad If you planning on taking him next semester Good luck
He was an okay teacher, not the best though. You do not need the book because the lectures is the books PowerPoint... The quizzes are only 5 questions with a bonus. 3 tests that are pretty difficult and the 6 page paper with so many guidelines to it. There's also a project too. Don't email him because he won't respond. Overall okay class
professor leblanc doesn't explain well his lectures doesn't provides reviews fro students quizzes and test. don't recommend him
professor le blanc its a bad teacher
Kinda difficult class. Weekly 5-question quizzes that are 30% of the grade, 3 tests, and a 6-8 pg paper with 8 sources that is only 15% of the grade. Go to class, pay attention, and take notes. Pretty simple college stuff. Hand in your own paper because he actually finds out of it is plagiarized or not. Pretty nice guy, would take again.
Leblanc is not the best professor He is rude and I don't think he should be an instructor because he makes the students feel down on themselves He gives lots of quizzes which can hurt your grade if you don't do well Also he is bias he only helps favorite students Bad attitude bad teaching please avoid him if you can
Professor Leblanc is a bad teacher because he does not explain concepts well in during lectures Also he does not provide good reviews for both the quizzes and exams He can also be rude sometimes. I don't recommend him Avoid him if you can but if you decide to take him, good luck!!!
Don't take Professor Leblanc because he is a horrible mean unfair professor. He usually doesn't give pop quizzes and one day he did which was bad because usually tells us
Avoid Professor Leblanc because he is a horrible professor who can't teach. If you can avoid him please do so. His nutrition class is a nightmare because all the exams are so hard. I could not get enough sleep stressing over his exams. He is evil and mean because he wants students to fail. He only knows nutrition for himself and not others.
I hate Professor Leblanc because he is mean Don't take him he is rude and nasty he is miserable and he tries to make his students lives miserable
Don't take Professor Leblanc because he is really really rude. He should not treat me badly because I did not do anything wrong to him. He needs to chill out.
I really hate Leblanc he is nasty & rude for no reason. He is only nice to his favorite students, that's not right.
Leblanc is rude & disrespectful at times I don't understand he says he got a Master's degree then he should behave like it If u can please do not take nutrition with another professor because he is mean & won't help
Don't take Gregory Leblanc because he is a rude and disrespectful.
not the best professor ever. his tests were so hard, you had to really study. and his quizzes were so extremely detailed orientated it was almost impossible. must really work in this class. overall he knows he stuff and wants to teach it if you're interested but you gotta be a good student
I took him for Excercise and fitness and wasn't a bad professor. very nice and comfortable to speak to. usually doesn't give a study guide to prepare you for the test. but overall, still was a nice professor.
Don't take Leblanc because his tests & quizzes are way too difficult. Avoid take him because he can be rude & nasty . Maybe he don't like me & I don't care because I don't like him as a professor anyways He should calm his nasty attitude a bit He is rude & that's why I don't like him.
Don't take Leblanc because his tests & quizzes are so hard He is also not my favorite because he is rude& mean Don't take him
Professor LeBlanc is NOT bad. He does make you work for your grade. If you do not come to class you will fail because he teaches off the power point and its not on share drive. You have to study, most of his class is memorization. But I got an A in this class so its not impossible, just put forth effort, actually study, and stop complaining.
He's really mean and rude. very short tempered. no book take notes!!!! don't use your phone ever!!! First day of class he yelled at me for asking a question about the authorless book. he teaches like he's a DRILL SERGEANT :(
I just took him during the 4 week summer class. I found him to be very nice. Just put in the work. Study for tests and quizzes very hard and put effort in your research paper.
Don't take Leblanc because his tests are too hard Also he has favorites in his class and is only nice to them but not to others He is so so mean & rude Don't take him
heavy tests, wants to jam it in, not practical about the stuff. get ready to read
Took him for a winter class this semester. (Exercise, fitness & conditioning.) He wasn't bad, despite the other reviews. We did strength, muscle endurance and cardio-respiratory tests, which was cool. One quiz, a final exam and two labs for HW (easy). If you enjoy working out, or want to learn how to lift weights, then take him.
Only gives quizzes, very strict procedures, and doesnt give us a chance to copy notes from PowerPoint presentation.
I took anatomy & physiology, so his class is kind of a review for me. If I were to put myself in someone's shoes who hasn't taken a&p, then i would say this class is very difficult because he really gets in depth with physiology which is stupid bc its just health class. He gives many quizzes that are all short answers, exams are multiple choice.
Gave out a research paper assignment. The usual "Write a few pages about some topic of your choice". Except this professor wants you to print out your sources (in their entirety) and hand them in alongside your paper EVEN THOUGH HE KNOWS WHERE YOU FOUND THEM AND THE WORKS CITED TELLS HIM WHERE TO FIND THEM. Waste of paper and steals his powerpoints
Grades consist of only quizzes, tests, and a research paper. The quizzes are very difficult with questions that are both open ended and vague. Quizzes make up the bulk of the grade so make sure you memorize every little detail because literally anything can show up on the quiz. This dude needs to chill out, hes teaching health, not calculus.
terrible. just reads off of slides that he doesnt even know. very unorganized. just not a great teacher. not a hard class but I still dont recommend to take him.
Definitely tough for a Health class. Tests count a lot so seriously study. Frequent quizzes but if you show up to every class, take proper notes and study them, they are not that bad. Does not post powerpoint slides so you must go to class, especially if you don't buy the book, like me. Overall, just go to class and write a good research paper
I would just avoid taking his class.
He's not that bad, but he can explain a bit awkwardly. If you need to take this course as a pre-requisite (since HED 150 is not transferreable to any university), be sure to first take A&P 1. It will help you to understand faster and better. Otherwise, don't take it lightly. The quizzes matter a lot and study well your notes for the test.
he doesn't use canvas at all which is so stupid, won't post notes online which u need to study, won't update grades, literally just a bad professor, don't take this class
Grades only come from quizzes and exams, no more research paper. You have no place to improve your grades if you're doing bad on the quizzes and exams. Nice guy, but really is teaching health the wrong way. Should be one of the easiest classes to takes and he makes it a lot harder. Disappointed. Don't recommend taking him if you need health.
Doesn't take attendance but if you don't show, you might as well drop unless you have a friend sending you notes to study from. Gives open ended quizzes just about every other class. There are 3 exams that are worth 70% of your grade. Doesn't give study guides, just reiterates the same power points and videos. Makes it difficult for no reason.
Professor LeBlanc was not my favorite professor. Like mentioned in a previous reviews he really makes you work for your grade which is understandable. I found that every time I reached out he wasn't really helpful or understanding. All in all, his teaching wasn't very helpful to me at least for the way I learn. Wouldn't take his class again.
He is so rude and nasty! This class was heavily graded on physical participation and obviously I had grading questions when the class was moved on online due to covid. I emailed him asking and his responses were very unhelpful and rude. When i had him in person he was condescending. would never take a class with him again
He's alright. As long as you study you'll get a good grade. His lectures are kind of disorganized but it you focus you'll be fine. He's kind of rude if you ask for clarification and doesn't seem interested in the class most of the time.
WORST TEACHER EVER. His quizzes are impossible to pass from the specificity of every question. He is difficult and unfair, not helpful. His exams are hard as well. Even if you study he asks the most specific questions so it is impossible. No homework, only grades based off quizzes and exams. Do your self a favor and take someone else.
Do yourself a favor and dont take his class. Quizzes and Tests are the only grades you will receive. If you mess any quiz or test you are done. Its strange that a quiz got deleted without any explanation. he opened another quiz but for some reason we had technical problems and couldnt finished it, he gave us another chance and it didnt open
Do NOT take this Professor. First and foremost, he is rude and condescending. Don't bother asking him a question or for any clarification becasue he will talk to you like an idiot . Secondly, his tests and quizes are almost impossible due to the specific information he expects you to memorize. Look elsewhere!
I had passed my class but if it wasn't for the hw I don't think I would. I feel like the professor is great but the lecture lineup is not. very long and sometimes go way off the topic of what we are supposed to learn. if you take this class DO NOT take it in the morning.
I took his class as a requirement for the ALLIED HEALTH requirement. My friends told me not to take him ONLINE becasue he is really hard and does not reply like the others. I took him in person and Dropped his class after two weeks. I could not get into the other Health classes so I had to tough it out to graduate. Its really a DIFFICULT!!!
Skip class you wont pass! He doesn't give extra credit and gives hard quizzes/tests. Its a 1credit class yet I worry for it just as much as my heavy courses. He is rude if you ask for clarification and he is not understanding! Also he never seems interested in the class.
I had Leblanc for Fitness. It was a mandatory class. He gave very heavy lecture notes and then asked very obscure questions for quizzes.
I never worked so Hard in a 1 Credit Exercise class. This guy treats the class like you are in Medical School and the Army during Fitness. He lectures for 30 minutes about the Body and you have to take Notes. Then he will give Really Hard Quizzes, Midterm and Final and a Paper. He is a Tough Grader. Wish I took someone else. RUN if you can!
DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS! A lot of people have horrible experiences in his class, very rude person would rather you quit than try and help you pass the class. Test materials have nothing to do with the study guides. Very limited on opportunities to pass. Judging by the other reviews students feel the same way not just me. DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS!!!
