Marshall is great. He's kinda nerdy, but he is very clear and creates study guides for all 3 tests. You don't even have to buy the book to get an A in his class! Know the study guide and you'll get an A.

He made history come alive. I enjoyed all the assignments and retained the info, since he offers an excellent study guide. There is limited time to cover so much material, but he gets the important facts covered. I highly recommend him for this class!

The teacher loves history and it shows!The lectures are very interesting and hold almost everything that will be on the exam.If you’re not missing classes you will do very well. Exams are not tricky, but require preparation: spend some time reading your notes and chapters from the book.

Marshall's class is awesome. You can get a B without buying the book, but if you want an A, buy it! He is very clear and his expectations are laid out from day one. I took him for 101 and 102, and he was great!

Best teach at palomar. His test were challenging, but he was so into history that he made all of his students interested too. The lessons are never boring because he always has interesting facts he adds to increase the interest. Take Marshall, he his definitely worth it.

Really relaxed. He knows that people don't favor history but he has to teach it. He gives you extra time to turn in papers. But there is other reading (two other books) involved, but as long as you know about the subject you'll be fine.

I took this class after getting a poor grade from another professor (Bower). It was SO much better this time around. He knows how to teach history so it's very understandable. I think I learned more in his class than I ever have about history. He gets a lot accomplished during the semester, but it's not a chore, you will really enjoy learning it!

Best and hottest professor on the campus. I got an A in the class without buying a book. You get a lot of extra credit, and you get study guide for every exam. FANTASTIC TEACHER! Greg is probably the best teacher I've had at Palomar. He explains history VERY clearly and makes it interesting ... he throws in some humor & a few interesting movies. He is very clear on what he expects from you. Three tests, three major papers & a few extra credit options make up your grade - no homework. Take this class!

Good teacher. You will know what exactly what to study for the tests. Writing assignments are easy. Easy grader. Do not take a different professor.

He gives out OK tests, but he offers lots of extra credits. You need to do all of the assignments and most of the extra credits, especially the ones that are worth a lot. Also, you need to read the book.

This guy is great, very enteresting and funny. I find his classes better than going to a movie and you will remember the subject matter because he always had you laughing.

This is the best teacher I have ever had!! There is so much to learn from him. I have never learned so much in a history class, and still remember it later on! He is super smart and more than helpful!! I was sick for a test and he was very sympathetic and made it so easy for me to make up.

If you dont like history and have to take it, TAKE HIM!!! I took him for History 101 & 102. He's very approachable, very helpful. He teaches like he's telling a story and keeps you wanting to know/learn more. One of the best teachers at Palomar!

He gives clear lectures, you get a study guide for the tests, anything and everything on the test (except maybe the extra credit question) will be on this study guide, I just jumped on wikipedia w/ the guide, didn't buy a book because other ratings here recommended not too but he still recommends it. The class isn't boring at all, goes by fast.

Best History teacher!!! Coming into this class I was horrible at history..after having marshall he changed my mind completely. I now actually enjoy the subject and I passed the class with a B+ He offers a lot of extra credit so that if you don't test well you can always make up for it.I recomend Marshall for sure!!

Marshall is the real deal, among the best at Palomar. Presents history as stories of people and how they lived, not dates and trivia answers. Provides enthusiastic lectures, excellent whiteboard notes, videos, EC, and complete study guides for all tests. All good students of American history should know not to buy any NEW textbook for his class.

He was a great teacher and truly loves teaching history. He was able to answer just about every question that a student would ask. He is very upbeat and never monotone-- keeps the class very interesting. He'll let you ask any question that you want prior to the test and will even give you great test review sheet. 1 of the best teachers I ever had.

I had very little interest in History before taking Professor Marshall's class, but he made it so interesting. He keeps the class entertained and I actually remember most of the stuff that I've learned. I am definitely leaving this class feeling like I have gained something.

Greg Marshall is by far the BEST teacher for history out there. i am one of those people that can stand history, but as long as u go to class and pay attention and add to the slide show notes, and study for an hour or 2 maybe less, you will pass this class. he has 2 papers 1 2pg movie project, another 3-7pg book review.

Until this class I hated history as all the names and dates were just that to me. He made the founding fathers come to life as real people with faults and loves. Go to class everyday and he will draw you into actually loving history!

Greg Marshall is an exceptional History teacher. His speech is clear and he is very accommodating towards students that care about their grade. The tests are not stressful. He was a good teacher, the only complaint is he procrastinates grades alot! He didn't have the grades up until the last week of the semester. And he hasn't updated final grades yet. Other than that, he was interesting, enthusaistic, and really wants you to pass.

Best teacher ever. This guy is extremely helpful, very nice and ridiculously knowledgeable about anything and everything. As someone who has generally hated school, I honestly looked forward to this class every week. My only regret is having taken 102 with someone else.

Greg Marshall is an awesome professor!! I would totally recommend him to any student. Attendance is mandatory! You have 3 exams, to include your final, and one paper that you can swap out by attending a battle reenactment. He is a must!!

First of all he looks just like Jim Gaffigan! Marshall is a really funny, easy going professor. He has all the lecture slides on blackboard which makes it easy to study. He has a way of tying current events and pop culture into history which makes it easy to learn. Basically, you show up, you take notes, you study, you get an A.

He really wants you to succeed and easily makes history interesting and fun=EASY A. Most test questions are from lectures. Tests are matching, fill-in, short answer and an essay. Some say his tests are hard, but I found they were anything but. With his teaching style it's easy to remember and understand events. GREAT Professor! Plus He's super Hot!

I took him for Hist 100 @ Palomar, and I was so glad to find out he teaches the second half at MiraCosta when I switched.

He is AMAZING!!!! When we were finished with the second exam, he told us that he was going to give us our tests back the next class. But he didn't. So because of that, he let us use our notes for the third test! When there is a point we need to know, he will say "good students of American history should know this". He is so amazing. And he is entertaining and he helps anyone that needs it. He is a great professor all around.

Excellent Professor for history. Shows Enthusiasm for his subject. He tells you what will be on the exam up front.If you study,do your work, and show up to class you will pass with A. The only problem I had is he is slow with grading ,but he makes up for it. Overall Outstanding professor. Would highly recommend to any student.

Awesome teacher. 2 easy papers, 3 easy exams (drops lowest score) & a mandatory final, plenty of extra credit opportunities. Explains topics clearly. Tells you EVERYTHING that will be on the test prior to exam day. Has funny stories and jokes to keep the class entertaining. Minimal effort will get an A.

This class is great! He's very clear with the topics and it's all through powerpoint! So you can print out the lectures so it's easier. Also, there are audio lectures for each topic, so it really helps if you missed a class or not paying attention during class. :)

I have absolutely no interest in History and therefore it's extremely hard for me. I've dropped Hist twice and third time I was lucky to find him. He kept the class and learning fun and easy. He makes sure you learn the material and still challenges you. He has audio lectures on his site as well as Power point lectures! He rocks!

I find history so boring that i failed with another teacher, but wow, with Mr. Marshall it was a whole new experience! His excitement with history was captivating, and class time felt like story-time. Story time on history characters that is. Easy grader, 4 tests, M/C & essay questions, taken right from study guide! Marshall is great.He made my first semester in college amazing.He LOVES the ST.Louis Cardinals.Gives out extra credit to save your grade.There has not been one class so far in the semester where he has not cracked some type of joke.And because the Cardinals won the world series, we have an open note final!Seriously, just take his class.

Awesome professor! He wants you to succeed in his class and will let you know during his presentations when important topics that will be on tests by saying "All Good Students of American History should know...". He's very understanding as well and you'll probably be more interested in history than you were before taking this class with him.

His class is easy & you never have to memorize dates for the tests. Even better than that is that he makes class interesting. I used to hate history, but now I actually enjoy it. One day in class, he had a video and had the class vote to watch the video or have a lecture. Lecture won by a long shot. I doubt anyone else could've had the same result.

Took US History 101and102 He is one of my favorite teachers ever!! extremely friendly, His assignments are simple and you get credit as long as he sees you put effort in them! Study Guide he gives will help a lot on the tests of matching and multiple choice and I think one Essay question but as long as you pay attention you can pass! I passed w/A's
