this guy is really an awesome teacher. he has a terrible accent but he explains himself very well and its hard to get lost in what hes saying. easy tests if you know the material. quizzes once a week are cake. just do the hw and know the material and you got a B at least. i got an a easily.
he is a very thorough teacher, hw every class so you gotta keep up or you'll fall behind easily, but if your looking to learn and understand as much as possible, this is the class..he's got a funny sense of humor too, he'll crack you up sometimes
Has a good spirit-really into Math and knows what he's talking about.Just do homework, and you'll ace the quizzes and tests. It's easy if you don't half-ass it.
Never have I seen a more entergetic math teacher. Great guy!!! Quiz once a week which are easy when the HW is done. His tests can be tricky at times but hes trying to get you to apply the math learned. This class has the highest drop out rate in all of college, but he makes it fun and a lil easier to understand with his lectures, so GO TO CLASS!!!
guy was so easy and so cool. as long as you show up to each class your golden. do the homework and its an easy A for sure. quiz once a week but he tells you exactly whats on it. tests are easy if you just do the hw. if you miss a class go to his office hours and he'll help you out no problem. def take him if you want an A and to learn alot.
he is such a great teacher!!! I really suck at math but because of him I not only understand it but i'm getting a really good grade! he explains things really well and is there for the students. i'm def taking this teacher for math 40!
Totally recommend this teacher. He is the perfect package for a college instructor. Truly cares about his students and is very helpful. He also has a great sense of humour. Wish more teachers were like him.
mr. nguyen was the best math teacher i've ever had!!! he really cares about the students getting the material and he's a really funny guy, he'll crack u up sometimes. i would def recommend him if you want to actually enjoy math while learning a ton. thanks to him i feel really prepared for math 4o! thanks mr. nguyen you rock!!!!
He is a good teacher who really cares about his students. The course is challenging but like he says, it can be simple if we truly put our minds to it and want to learn it. I have a B in the class now and I hope I can get it up to an A.
Outstanding teacher! Deserves a BIG raise!!! Very enthusiastic and helpful. Math is hard, but he made it enjoyable to learn. Took him for math 20 and 40. There are 10 quizzes, 4 tests and a final! Study the quizzes, hw, book and lecture notes and will prepare you for his tests. I got an A!
Nguyen is the best math teacher I have ever had. I am truly glad that I picked Nguyen for a teacher because he explains material clearly and it is always 100% relevant to material on the tests. He has nothing to hide as far as grades go. He hardly ever goes off topic, hard working, and deserves a huge raise. I recommend this teacher for all.
hes a great teacher. His exams are not a surprise, and he actually takes time to clear up any confusion. He makes an intimidating class like statistics a lot easier. Hes an awsome teacher. I totally recomend him. and his lectures are clear. CHOSE HIM!
Very moody teacher. So quality of education and grades are dependent on the mood. Today he likes you but only God knows about tommorrow.
i took math 120 which i thought was impossible to pass being it was a statistics class. He made this subject very clear and the homework became very easy if you paid attention in class. He is easy to approach and he will go step by step on a math problem. VERY EASY!!
Amazing teacher. best teacher i have had thus far! makes math interesting!
one of the best teacher i ever had, is very funny just do all the homework study a little bit and you will pass for sure.
i took math 140. he is really nice teacher... u have fun in the class and also u learn a lot... i really do recommend this teacherr...
This teacher was very nice and organized. The subject itself was pretty difficult, but he really taught well. Attendance is pretty important and if you miss one class, you'll be thrown off. Like all other math class, there's alot of homework, but he doesn't assign too much problems. Highly recommended.
i have taken this class before in high school and did very poorly. this is one of the best math professors by far. if you need help or clarity that is no problem all you have to do is ask. i highly recommend this teacher. he is funny and energetic and keeps you focused.
Best math teacher ever! Very, very helpful. No book needed did hw online. Had practice quizzes/test online that were almost exactly the same as the ones u take in class. Do them before the test and you'll do fine. Cares about his students and is VERY funny. I suck at math and got an A. I wish he would teach math 100. Take him he rocks!
dont take him, this is a WARNING! HE IS A VERY SELFISH TEACHER, If you go to his office hours, he will not help you at all! If your smart youll listen. He is extremly hard, and has alot of homwork that dosent apply to the class. I DONT KNOW ABOUT THE OTHER CLASSES BUT THIS IS HIS 2ND YEAR TEACHER BUS CAL AND HE IS NOT GOOD! TRUST ME!!!!!
VERY HARD AND A USELESS TEACHER...you will need the book if you take him because thats how you'll learn, on your own. He is very careless. you will regret taking him, he's new to bus cal so he doesnt know how to teach it.
Big ego. Hard to understand. Its his way or no way when it comes to showing your work (his way is much too complicated and hard to follow).
OMG he is so hard!!! Too much things to do. He can't explain things so well. I still don't understand this subject. Please do not take him for calculus. He might get good rate for other math classes but not calculus. I wonder how the school let him be a calculus teacher. Please take other teacher
He is EXTREMELY HARD! He knows his material, but I wouldn't say he is a good teacher. His pace is very fast and doesn't allow you to ask question sometimes. His test questions are way harder than normal homework questions which is very unfair. Take someone else! If you could, take G. Lynn from Cypress
Greg Nguyen wasn't so bad. He did go over the material in a fast pace, but if you ask him to repeat the concept, he will. If you get stuck on a hw problem go to the tutoring center b/c he doesn't go over hw questions often in class. There were 5 quizzes, 4 midterms, and 2-part finals. I enjoyed the class. Got a B.
Best math teacher I have ever taken! Gives you printouts of the notes ahead of time. Uses different colors on the whiteboard to make lectures extra clear. Homework answers and current grade posted online. Partial credit on exams if you at least attempt the problem. Cool guy too.
Mr. Nguyen is AWESOME! He is a really nice person and funny.great at explaining and using lots of examples on the board. I really liked doing homework on MyMathLab because it motivated me to get 100%s.Understanding and cares about his students. I?ve always been bad at math and this was new material for me, but I got an A. I recommend him!
G-Man is the BEST math teacher I've ever had! He is very helpful & and most of all, very patient, which is perfect for a subject that is difficult for most of the students taking it. He gives a lot of homework and you kind of have to do it all b/c its a big part of the grade but it really does help you learn. Take him, he's the best for the subject
Nguyen is a good teacher for the most part, but he was a serious attitude problem. He writes hurtful/disparaging comments on graded tests, which creates hesitation when seeking help. He also has a self-righteous attitude, which makes him worse.
There is a lot of comments that is not too good about G-man ! But Greg is a great teacher and those who are not succeed in his class because they are so not ready for the Calculus level !
"G-man" was a pretty good teacher (and I was horrible with math). Honestly, the key to passing this class is coming to class, going to the math lab, and doing your homework. Not much homework; tests and quizes weren't too difficult. Tests and quizes were graded fairly (partial credit for attempted answers). He really wants students to succeed.
I took this class because he had a good rating on this site and he uses MyMathLab. I soon regretted it. Don't get me wrong, he seems like a cool dude outside of the classroom, but he's not great at teaching. I don't do well in math to begin with, but his lectures just confused me even more. Many other students in my class agreed. Not recommended.
LOVE G MAN!!! hes soo awesome! MUST go to mathlab...he uses plenty of tools to help out with the course. totally fair and hes the best!!! def take him...totally planning on taking him for calc
I used to LOVE math. now I hate it. He isn't clear. there arent so many points. I ended up teaching myself.
He is a great teacher. The people that complain about him are the people who aren't willing to put in the time and effort. Just show up to class, do your homework, and actually study the material and you'll do great. He is challenging but I feel much more prepared for future math courses. He cares about his students and he grades fairly.
G man is the best math teacher ever!!!!!!! I'm really bad at math but I got an A. He cares for his students and wants them to succeed. Need to do all the homework it will help you a lot. Always do the practice test and quizzes they will help tremendously when taking the tests. Responds to e-mails right away.If math is not your best subject take him
I have a difficult time learning math concepts and Professor Nguyen just made it more complicated. His accent is so thick that it is hard to understand the guy. He seemed very nice however I could not understand him. It made learning the concepts that much harder when you are trying to understand him.
I love my 150A class with G-Man. His tests are very hard, but he grades generously, giving plenty of partial credit. His lectures are fun and packed with jokes and levity. Overall, a great professor with an awesome personality.
Classes were fun to attend, and g-man was really concerned for his students to succeed. If you do all your homework, UNDERSTAND IT ALL, and never miss a class, you can get an A for sure. Gives fair partial credit on tests too. I really hope he can teach 150b, so I will take his class right away!
Hard tests, Four each 100pts and a 150pt comprehensive final. Little extra credit. He is very nice, but still developing his teaching skills.
GMan is a great teacher. his accent is clear, I barely speak English and I was able to understand him very well. he gives you a lot of extra credit opportunities and is willing to help you succeed. i had fun in his class
G-Man, hands down is one of the best math teachers. He does have an accent, but it's easily understandable. His quiz's aren't hard if you pay attention and his tests are similar to the quiz's. I recommend to never miss a class. You'd miss out on a lot of info. But G-Man is a dope teacher definitely.
Some accent but understandable. Take advantage of office hours. Do homework and attend class. Grading was fair with partial credits. But required to have a bit background in math. You have to take math seriously in order to take his class! Kinda weird in some ways. Will take him in Math 150B.
If you don't know something he will not tell you. Wants you to be an expert in all previous math skills. Not worth your hard work and time for hard test questions.
G man is too smart to be a teaher. The average student will struggle and he will not meet you half way. No extra cred, no test drops and minimal points for HW. Unless you're part genius, dont take him!!
He is really easy and funny. His lecture are not so hard to understand. Just do hw and attend this class regularly, you'll be fine.
G man rocks. he does have an accent but it's easy to understand. he's funny, too. he's also tolerant and sympathetic if you're not a bad student.i want to take his class for 150B but the class is already full :(
He is a pretty good teacher. Easy grading. But the test is very broad and cover most of the materials that you learn. Shouldnot take Summer class if you arenot really serious in studying. 150B is really harder than 150A. So be careful!
Although he got the class involved, his teaching skills weren't good. He often made mistakes during lecture and chose to present problems that instead of helping me to understand the concept confused me a great deal. He is not that organized. It's naive to think that engaging personality'll make up for ineffective lessons and lack of knowledge.
I was a quite disappointed with this prof. I enjoy math and tend to learn it easily when it's taught, but he doesn't teach. He just puts the equations from the book on the board and has you spend class time figuring it out on your own. Basically, you need to be able to teach yourself if you take him.
Nice guy, terrible teacher. He expects you to live on the subject and assumes his is the only class you are taking. Don't miss a class or you'll miss a lot of info and fall behind.Better to teach yourself the material. His lectures are hard to follow because he doesn't teach you he wants you to figure out everything yourself.
G-Man is awesome! He makes himself very available to his students if they need help. The people who do not do well in this class probably dont do the hw since it is not required. He lets you take some quizzes in groups and part of the final is in a group. Tests are not MC so you get partial credit for at least trying to solve the problem. MUST TAKE!
He is a little tough, but his lectures are good. He explains the topics nicely, but sometimes make simple topics too complicated. Skips unnecessary material in book. Tests are just ok, but he is lenient in grading. Doesn't drop any test. He has a Vietnamese accent which is sometimes hard to understand.
great teacher, very helpful. good guy.
Bad accent, bad attitude and god forbid you ask him a question, he just belittles you. Exams are good, but you have to teach yourself! He can be discouraging at times, so just keep pushing and don't mind his negativity! I would say skip him if you can.
Take him!!!! Best math teacher ever! :D
It's simple, if you're good at math, take him, but if you suck at math, run away from him. He is willing to help, but he also expects students to be good at all previous materials like math 150A and algebra. Overall, he knows his stuff and he is willing to help and explain everything for those who are willing to pay attention and understand.
Very helpful, straightforward and merciful. Exams could've been SO much harder, but he clearly didn't want to destroy the class. Though he's far from ruthless, he doesn't coddle students. If you come in having forgotten most of Calc 1, you won't make it. I had a rough time with Calc 1 with a so-so professor, and G-Man was a welcome relief.
Great Proessor if you need help he is willing to help you... you need to stay ontop of all your work in order to get a good grade !
He talks too fast and expects you to understand every thing. He doesn't like to go over homework as thoroughly as any math teacher should. His lectures move to quickly and it would help if he explained the concepts in a more careful manner. He is impatient and condescending in a way. He makes you feel stupid when you don't deserve to be.
Great professor. One of the best at FC. It is absolutely not an "easy A" class, but worth the hard work. The grade you get is the grade you earn, and he will help you to ensure you get the grade you want. Available in office hours, very helpful. If you're taking calc, I would say go for the Gman, all the way.
Great professor! He's passionate and dedicated to his profession and students. This is not a professor to take if you want to cruise or get an easy A. If you truly want to understand thoroughly what you've learned, then G-man is for you. I was on the fence about liking math before his class, but now I love it! One of the best teachers at FJC!
Awesome professor! If you visit him during his office hours he explains things really well. He has an accent but he writes everything on the board so it wasn't hard to learn the material in his class. He's the best math professor I've had by far!
Great professor, explains things well and really knows his stuff. Expects students to put forth their best effort. Tests aren't easy, but he gives helpful study guides and is a generous grader. A cool guy.
Teacher is very friendly, but class is extremely difficult.Professor expects you to remember all previous math. Will skip explaining steps that he believes you should already know and is very fast paced.Teaching style confusing.Uses a different way to solve each in class example.
Recommendations for Prof:1)In lecture, solve problems including the steps from previous math classes to refresh student's memory.2)Try to stick to one way of solving each lesson.Too many options confuse students.3) In lessons, include questions that are the exception as well.4)Try to go slower if possible. These will help student success.
Gman is a good teacher. His lectures are pretty good and he covers material nicely. He moves at good pace and answers all questions very well. His exams are slightly difficult but he is generous with partial credit and you can do eaily do well is you study the notes and hw. Exams aren`t very ticky or anything like that. I recommend him.
He is really nice teacher and is really helpful to students. His lecture in his class is pretty clear, and he doesn't check the homework. so, if you don't put enough effort, you will get a bad grade.
G man is a best professor so far I had. I like his teaching method. Exams are not hard if u do all the hw problems but he doesn't collects it. I did all the problems. I got an A his class. Take him if u want to learn, but he doesn't drop any exams.
Gman is chill and humorous at times, I give em that, but the class overall is near non-engaging. The whole class is essentially all rote memorization, which is EXTREMELY BORING AND STRESSFUL. He doesn't explain what one could do with the calculus and how exciting it can be. The class is near university level, with only 3 tests and couple activities
The best part of this course is the MyMathLab.Gman's lessons are helpful as well as mymathlab online text, it literally helps you with your homework. I would recommend him and this class to anyone. He does not rush, and will go at the pace the class wants to. It's 4 tests, a quiz once a week. a few group activities. Homework is due the day of tests
Great professor. Very helpful. As long as you do all the homework and take the practice test and quizzes online, you will get an A.
I took a hybrid math class with him and I assumed it would be a lecture during class with homework online, but it wasn't. He passed out worksheets and gave full credit for them, never actually lecturing on how to solve problems. When he tried to explain things, his accent was so thick that nobody understood. Very difficult to teach yourself math.
Super hard if you don't study on your own the only good thing was that his final is just like his tests, I had an F on the first test and the final, I think I got an A. Nice guy but don't underestimate him, he grades like every math teacher.
As long as you're prepared to put in the effort, you'll learn a lot from G-man. He's the type of professor who learns everybody's names and always tries to help his students. His lectures are interesting, helpful, and pretty funny. What else would you expect from a professor who has his students call him G-man?
Greg is a no-nonsense kind of professor. If you want to learn calculus, take his class. He treats his students like adults on a journey. My favorite quote from him - ''Do not rest in your victory.'' He assigns homework, he grades in-class quizzes, and he has more exams than just a mid-term and final. That should be enough for you.
Very funny, helpful, and cool guy. Obviously this class is still going to be tough because its calculus, but if you actually care there is no way you fail this class. He gives quizes every week, but if you did the homework they are easy. He is a kind grader when it comes to tests and quizes, tries to give as many points as possible.
I don't know about others, but his style of lecture doesn't work with me. Speaks a lot to explain. but if you show the examples going thru step by step, then it'll be much easier for students to understand. he uses "already written" notes. I wouldn't recommend this guy to my friends. With his thick accent, I don't even know what he's saying.
He's the best math professor I've had at Fullerton. He explains things well and he even makes the theoretical aspect of calculus interesting. As long as you put in the effort, you will take a lot out of this class. He's also pretty funny. If he did stand up, I'd go watch. But that's beside the point. Take him to gain a strong foundation in calculus
its a bit difficult to keep up with him because of his accent and his pre-written notes. Most of the time, I'm too busy writing down what he has on the board to listen to what he has to say. The tests are pretty difficult but it should be fine if you put in the time and energy. Homework is important! Keep up with them and do extra questions.
G-Man, as he likes to be called, is the best math instructor I've ever had. I took him for summer school, and he really made sure we all understood the material. He's a fair grader, fantastic at explaining things in-depth and slowly, and wants to help you succeed. Does a fantastic job at preparing students for the next level of math.
I passed Calc 1 last semester, but took it again as a refresher. DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR. Lectures are NOT helpful, comes with a packet of notes pre-completed that he shows on the overhead. He offers pre-test reviews, but you must KNOW what you want him to cover beforehand. Only grades are 2 tests (60%), weekly quizzes (10%) and final (30%).
Prof Nguyen is very meticulous in his teaching ethics-in a good way. Yes, he's tough but that's how you learn. If you just want the easy pass then don't take him. This was my first math class for college and I could not have asked for a better instructer. He can be a bit pretentious, but he really teaches you things in a wa you'll remember forever
I mean honestly it was an average class. The examples he went over in class were a bit helpful but ultimately most of the work is up to you and he's available to help you but the material is more in depth than he explains.
One of the most caring, genuine professors I've ever had. If you're struggling with math or need help or even just have low confidence this guy is there for you! Has so much passion for teaching and will work with you as long as it takes. All he asks is that you meet him halfway. Very inspiring person and truly cares about his students.
He's such an amazing professor. Don't listen to negative reviews, those are probably the people that expect things to be handed to them. This man is incredibly inspirational, and he makes a dry class interesting. If he was teaching Calc III I would take him even though I don't need the class for credit- he's really that phenomenal.
G-Man was an amazing professor, he would occasionally throw some shade at the students failing. His grading is clear do your homework, study and pass. He truly does care, if you care. You have to put in effort to get good results. Although, I did not pass because of my own fault, I can say I learned a lot from him and his lectures.
If you show up and do all of your homework you are likely to pass. I liked that he was very considerate with test schedules. Most work is done online.
I took his math 40 hybrid class. Loved it because it thought me to be responsible. Pretty much you teach yourself here. Lecture isn't all that great everyone ended up dropping. Do the homework and quizzes pray you do well in the test and you'll be fine. Skip class? Than you're screwed.
Took him for math 40 and his teaching is soo fast paced and if you ask a question he'll make you look dumb, that basically you should already know the material like he does. his accent is kind of hard to understand and be prepared for ALOT of homework. about 50 questions once a week and you have to teach yourself,it takes hours to do the homework!
He starts off the semester by introducing himself as G-Man. He's very honest and doesn't hold back from saying what is on his mind. He gives practice quizzes and exams which are really similar to the real thing. He offers 15 extra credit points for going to the mathlab. show up, do the homework & practice tests and you'll do fine
Very disrespectful, calls students out , rants for 20 minutes each class , makes you feel stupid and not want to participate
If you're willing to put in the effort YOU WILL PASS. Weekly homework assignment and gives extra credit for going to MathLab (take advantage of it)! He's good at giving examples on the board and doing step by step. Quizzes for every chapter but does a pretest which HELPS!
Professor G is overall a great teacher. He made Business Calculus a very enjoyable class. Also, he makes sure to give his students all the information they need to be successful in his course. He gives out study guides before every test that are identical to the actual test. Show up, do homework, study, and you shall pass his class.
This was his Hybrid Math 40 class. I was thrown into this class at the last minute because of a mix up on the counselors part. I was expecting it to be tough, but not as insanely ridiculous as it was. He uses Aleks and has it set to the highest difficulty level, be ready to spend 2 hour on homework EVERY DAY, and for random pop quizzes.
Overall, G-man was a GREAT professor. Probably one of my favorite's so far. Math is my weakest subject and I love that he breaks everything down so you can understand it. Typically finishes the class around 30 minutes early. He's always there after class ends for questions. As long as you pay attention to lectures you'll be perfectly fine.
He is caring and accessible after class. Math is an undeniable hard subject, so get ready to put some efforts. Business Calculus is extremely hard, but that class is a major requirement one. Be ready to do hw, meet the tutor and work with SI to be able to PASS the class. Give PARTIAL credit so that a PLUS.
GMAN! is what he goes by. Coming into this I was a nervous wreck. I am so glad I chose his class to take this hybrid class. Very understanding to life situations which was a relief to me due to the fact I am a single mother and he accommodated to my request as much and as best as he could. Take his class! He is awesome.
GMAN is one of the fairest professors Ive had. He's straight up and says its a hard class but if you really put an effort youll pass. He gives extra credit for going to the math lab so I went 1 hour before class everyday. He also super helpful during office hours. He even said that if he saw you put in a effort hell round your grade. HighC to B
Record his lectures. He talks fast. Ask questions in class. Study the vocab so when he talks you don't get lost. I think I would have gotten an A if covid19 did not happen. I bombed my first 2 quizzes. By the third quiz, I found my rhythm and I was starting to excel. Now that the class is over, I miss the math. It was like a puzzle.
He's not bad. His grading is very clear and strict/reasonable. He has his own lectures but lacks good examples/detailed work(I mainly taught myself by watching the videos he uploaded by a diff person) He kinda goes off topic and does some rambling n u might get off track so just pay attention when he talks abt stats. Attendance is part of ur grade.
I took MATH 120 over zoom. I definitely recommend him if you like to learn on your own. He does not lecture during zoom, instead he helps you with the hw. He allows you to get ahead if you want to. He offers extra credit as well. The class consists of HW and a quiz e/ week, 2 midterms, and a cumulative final. He cares about your success!
You use Pearson which costs around $90 for the course. So don't be surprised if you have to pay it to take the class. Learning is all on your own, teacher provides lots of videos and slides to learn. The Pearson homework is very doable and the quizzes are VERY similar to the homework and the midterms are VERY similar to the practice midterm.
Honestly a very good professor. My class was purely online however the professor was always willing to help and easy to reach out to. The final was also directly related to the homework and quizzes. If you do your work and stay on pace the class shouldn't be too difficult!
Was constantly pushing back HW deadlines to give students extra time to finish the homework. Very easy class, all you have to do is put the numbers in the calculator. HW is exactly like the study guide which is exactly like the exam. Anyone can get an A in this class just put the numbers in the calculator.
First time taking Stats, I was not a math person, so I thought. Professor Nguyen is an amazing professor, I learned so much from him in his course. His homework and assignments, builds you up. Taking good notes, constant practice in the problems, he and his helpful staff will help understand and love the math you are learning.
Professor Nguyen gave homework each week along with a quiz, never too heavy. Sometimes he would post another assignment for extra credit to get more points. Homework was no more than 20 questions. Quizzes are no more than 4 questions. Overall I think he is a great professor to take and I would recommend taking him.
Professor Nguyen is an excellent statistics teacher at FCC. His clear and organized teaching style makes complex topics easy to understand. He uses real world examples to enhance learning and is always available for questions. His approachable, patient demeanor in office hours really helps. Highly recommend him if you want to succeed in statistics!
Professor Nguyen has changed my outlook in learning math in a way that was fun and interactive for the whole class. The professor is very understanding and only wants his students to be successful in course so don't be afraid to reach out for help. Your awesome G-men thank you for all the help and for lightning up the room with funny humor!
Professor Nguyen is an excellent math professor. He is easy to follow in lectures and often makes jokes that keep people entertained. The material in the first 8(ish) weeks was very easy; however, later in the semester, the difficulty quickly spiked. All lectures were available online in recording and you are given 2 weeks to complete assignments.
G-Man has been one of my fav professors ever so far! He's super caring, helpful & flexible! This is my 2nd time taking Stats, and I wish all professors were like him. We used the calculator for everything (instead of memorizing formulas & hand-solving) which helps A LOT! He gave us reference sheet to keep for the midterms and final. Def recommend!
I have had the pleasure of having Mr. Nguyen or G-man as a lot of people like to call him. He is one of the most excellent professors/ teachers I have ever had. He cares a lot about his students when he sees the effort they put into class to get a good grade. I highly recommend to take him if you can!!!
I took his statistics class online. It was a laid-back asynchronous class. Just stay on top of your work, and it will be all good. He is a flexible professor so feel free to ask questions if you need help.
Easy class as long as you complete the assignments and listen to lectures. He is willing to work with you on missing assignments so that is a plus for this class!
Professor Nguyen was literally the best! His lectures were super clear and easy to follow along with. He's always open to questions and is super understanding. He gives lots of time to complete homework assignments and quizzes. Exams are similar to the practice one he gives out so make sure to really study it and understand all of the questions.
The class work itself was kind of hard but the class workload is not hard at all, its not even a lot of work if you stay on top of assignments. The professor is very understanding and thorough in his video lectures. You do have to buy an online program to do homework and tests which was about 70$ or a little bit less if I remember correctly.
Professor Nguyen gives good lectures that aren't too boring even though the subject can be very hard and confusing he does do good explanations of the in class practice questions and helps students with any questions and encourages visiting the math labs for extra help as well.
Professor Nguyen was a great professor! All of the assignments are online based on Pearson, as well as a few written assignments here and there. He always gave good feedback and offers extra credit opportunities as well. Overall, if you're looking for a good online Statistics professor, he's great!
prof. nguyen was a great professor! His lectures were very thorough and detailed. he got back to messages quick and was very understanding with his students!
this class was easy.
Professor Nguyen is super helpful and willing to assist students. The class is straightforward - just put numbers in the calculator. unstuck study was a great study tool alongside the homework.
Going into the class with the fear of math the professor made it look easy. The lectures were great and easy to understand. After class I got questions from the practice exams, and he showed me how to solve it. He also gives his student who wants a better score on previous homework and quizzes another try. He wants his students to succeed.
Prof. Nguyen was incredibly clear about expectations in this course, a fair grader, and extra credit on the assignments! The tests and quizzes are exactly like the homework assignments, if not a bit easier, and there were no surprises. Overall, great feedback and I learned a lot despite it being all online work. 10/10 definitely would take again!
Professor G is a helpful professor eager to help his students and is kind, I've enjoyed his class , and as long as you come to class and pay attention the class won't be as hard make sure you prepare well for exams those are worth more points. Gives extra credit in many ways so he's understanding .
Professor G is a kind and understanding professor he gives out a lot of extra credit for the students and he is willing to help students if they need help with the math. He also offers help for math after class.
Taking statistics with Professor Nguyen, was honestly one of the best decisions I have ever made. He does everything in his power to help his students succeed. I was always afraid of math 120 but he made my experience in learning Statistics enjoyable and smooth. He is kind, considerate, and patient but also just. I would take his class again.
Great professor. Took him for into to statistics. Loved his class. Would love to take him for calculus. He really challenges you and gives you all the tools needed. Allowed us to take our weekly quizzes as many times as we needed to maintain a high grade. Cares greatly about his students succeeding.

Professor Nguyen, is a caring passionate teacher, he gives you all the tools needed to pass the class with a great grade. He is a funny easy going teacher! He is amazing and giving you the opportunity to get the grade you want it all depends on the student you are. Like he says "you get the grade you earned"! Amazing math teacher!
I would recommend taking math with Mr.Nguyen, he was an amazing teacher. He was always checking up on his students, always answered any questions you may have about the class, and the most helpful part was how understanding he was and gave extra time if needed with assignments
Professor G is amazing! I loved the lectures that were assigned very easy to follow and very simple! He is funny and very caring! He also provides lots of help if you are struggling! All in all he is an amazing professor and I would take it again.I had always struggled in math and this class was a lot easier than I anticipated! 10/10 recommend!
Professor was really great and provided lots of practice material that helped me a lot. He was also very generous with late work.
Professor Nguyen is a great teacher. He's very understanding, especially when it comes to late work, as long as you communicate with him. He genuinely wants his students to succeed and provides a lot of practice materials to help us prepare for tests. He also gives multiple chances to improve, which really helps take the pressure off.
i never liked math, but after this class I LOVE STATS. prof is the best and the class is fast paced but its enjoyable to the point where you want to do math. Thank you prof G!
I was a little nervous that this class was hard. However, since the first day of class, Professor Gregory Nguyen shared an email letting us know that his goal is to ensure our success in his class, utilizing all the tools he has available in the course. He was always super caring and helpful if any problem or special circumstance appeared.

If you need to take a statistics course do yourself a favor and take Professor Nguyen's course. I had a really positive experience, I didn't c
Do yourself a favor and take Professor Nguyen's course if you need to take a stats class. This course gave me confidence in my math abilities. I understood so many of the chapters, I was shocked and super excited because prior to this course I had a horrible experience in another stat class. Pearson gives you great examples to help you understand.
Professor Nguyen did a great job with this class. I did not ever feel overwhelmed with the course load and felt confident going into each exam due to the provided study materials and homework. I would recommend this class if you do not want it to consume your summer, yet still have a solid grasp on probability & statistics! 10/10!
Very Good Prof. Clear Grading and if you do your work well you get extra credit points.
The professor is great
I had taken Math 120 with professor G-Man as an online course for summer session. He's a Goat! If you have him as any of your classes don't go for 2nd decision just take him ! Lots and lots of extra credits throughout the course. Easy to available! He wants his students to achieve good grades. Just take him !!
This was my first online summer class, and I wasn't sure what to expect. Professor Nguyen made it a great experience. He's supportive, gives helpful feedback, and keeps the workload manageable. As long as you stay on top of deadlines, watch the lectures, and do the homework, you'll succeed. Highly recommend!
I really enjoyed this course overall. Although I checked in late, the way it was structured allowed me to design a personal learning journey at my own pace. This flexibility helped me stay motivated and successfully complete the course. Thank you for making the experience so engaging and supportive.
I was really nervous about taking a math class online, and I was afraid I'd struggle without in-person help. But Professor Nguyen is one of the most thoughtful and supportive professors I've ever had. He goes above and beyond to make sure his students feel confident especially in a subject like math that can be intimidating for many.
I took this class during the summer, so it was a bit fast pace, but don't let that scare you as long as you stay on track with the schedule he provides, it's very manageable. He also offers a few opportunities for extra credit and responds quickly to any questions you might have. Overall the class is very well structured! I recommend
This class was very manageable as long as you stay on track with the material. He is approachable, always willing to offer extra time if you need additional help. Even though math isn't always my strongest subject, he explained concepts in a way that made them much easier to understand. Overall, I really enjoyed the class and would take it again!
Professor Nguyen made stats way less scary than I thought it'd be. The lectures and assignments were super organized, and I actually enjoyed learning the material. This class challenged me in the best way, and I feel like I've gained a solid foundation in both probability and statistics. Would totally recommend!
You'll have to do homework, practice and exams on Pearson. There'll be 2-3 home works per week, and he has practice exams, which you should do it as many time as you could since it'll be exactly the same with real exam. Take it and you won't regret it; also, I take online class.
Online and asynchronous class which makes it easy to manage -- just complete your assignments by the due date and you're set! There are Pearson hw assignments every week and quizzes based off the pearson hw (multiple attempts!). As long as you watch lecture videos, you'll do great. Prof. Nguyen is great. Absolutely loved this class and highly rec!!
I was a bit nervous taking this online statistics course, but Greg Nguyen's way of teaching made it super easy to follow. You get multiple attempts at homework and quizzes, and a few extra credit opportunities too! As long as you stay on top of the assignments and lectures, you should be able to pass this class!
I'm so grateful I took this class! Professor Nguyen has video lessons and provided notes! Homework, quizzes, and exams are done through Pearson. This was a hard semester due to personal reasons, thankfully Professor Nguyen is very understanding and truly wants his students to succeed. He gave me an extension on my assignments and checked up on me.
took his calculus for business course online and it was honestly great. He uploaded weekly lectures and notes and assigned 1 hw assignment and 1 quiz per week. It's a pretty hard subject in general so it definitely won't be an easy A. We had 3 exams and 1 final exam.
Would take his class again. Online class was straight forward and homework and quiz due at the end of the week. Hard subject but professor was understanding.
I've never been great at math, so I was nervous taking this online class. Professor Nguyen was clear, engaged, and always gave helpful feedback. When I missed the midterm due to a pet emergency, he personally reached out and allowed a retake. One of the best math teachers I've had. Highly recommend taking his class.
Prof Nguyen really wants us to pass so if you are having problems he'll understand and work something out. Taking his class made it easier for me since I could rewatch the videos over and over again without feeling the pressure of anyone getting annoyed. His own videos are the most helpful since he does examples similar to the HW.
Prof. Nguyen was great. This was actually my second time taking Stats, after my first attempt didn't go well and a counselor personally recommended him to me because her son really enjoyed his teaching style. This semester I had some health issues and he was really understanding and allowed me to make up my missing points. Definitely recommend!!
