Professor Pac is a very kind professor who really wants you to do well in stats. He goes out of his way to make sure everyone is feeling good about material before moving on, which is great. The power lectures got pretty boring about 2/3 through, but it's intro stats, there's not much you can do to avoid that.

Skip class? You won't pass.

Advice for the course: 1) View online lectures to complete PS early in the week and meet with Gregory to clarify any questions (PS account for 40% of course grade). 2) While viewing lectures, create an in depth reference sheet for the 4 Quizzes (40% of course grade) and final exam (20% of course grade). The class. is super easy. None of the content is particularly hard and the exams are average difficulty. Lots of extra credit is offered making it very easy to get an A without much work. Gregory himself is decent, his lectures are clear and he is very pleasant. The one downside is that he is extremely boring so sitting through lecture is arduous

Really loved Pac. His lectures are funny and he puts effort into making boring content applicable and relatable. He provides tons of extra credit opportunities and is always open to questions and office hours. Wish I had the chance to take another class with him - will miss his jokes and tangents

My only complaint was having multiple choice exams. The many opportunities for extra credit were much appreciated

This class was the most challenging one I've had so far, but also the most interesting! The test questions are specifically designed to confuse you, so you need to read them very closely. However, he's smart and has a great personality. I was able to meet with him via video chat for questions, and he was great at answering everything I asked him.

Made statistics bearable. I took AP Stats in high school and the course concepts are nearly identical, with a few extra things here and there. Had the best TA I've ever had for this course. Exams have a large formula sheet to use. Very fair grader, extra credit for going to lecture, going to discussion, and completing an enrichment project.

I love this man. Genuinely if you go through an Econ major at UW without getting to listen to Prof. Pac lecture, I feel so sorry for you. He is fun and engaging, and teaches you real world skills that you can be sure you'll actually use. Helpful and engaged in office hours, I've never had a better professor that I could tell actually cares. 12/10

Professor Pac is a genuinely nice man, but his lack of lecturing aid is disheartening. The class was insufferable at best. Truthfully a waste. The caveat is I assume all ECON310 classes are horrible, so Pac might be your best hope. A lose-lose scenario

Profound instructional breakdown led by the professor: incoherent lectures, absent objectives, and sustained misalignment with readings, discussion, and exams. Grading was arbitrary, unnecessarily harsh; feedback was negligible and always late. Questions were ignored or dismissed. Course fails minimum standards urgent administrative action required

This class is bad in general, both the professors and the discussion teachers were not helpful, class is lecture heavy however lectures are always unclear and if you want to review the lecture again at home it is close to impossible. Severe lack of material provided, care, feedback etc

People just give bad ratings over everything. This guy doesn't require lecture attendance, is likeable, curves the class by a wide margin, and always wants to help his students. Would advise taking him.

This class is completely doable by just doing the work. Professor Pac is very lenient with his grading policies, giving many extra credit opportunities. The class is organized and there are no surprises on the exam. If you simply pay attention in lecture, actually go through the mind taps and discussion worksheets you will get an A.
