Excellent professor that keeps the class engaged. If you show up for class and pay attention you will have no problem making a good grade. He offers extra credit! Take advantage.
Super sweet and great teacher! Uses socrative to take attendance so if you don't go to class just have your friend login for you to show attendance. He knows his stuff and explains it well. No homework and an optional final. Have to do 5 psych study hours but can do more for extra credit. TAKE REPASKY FOR AN EASY A!
Greg is an amazing professor who knows how to make the lectures interesting and keep the class engaged and involved. Offers extra credit for the tests! There is no homework for the class and the final is optional. Even though the work load is very minimal you still learn so much in the class. Take this class!
In General Psychology there was no homework. Don't buy the book, it's a waste of your time, you just need to review the power points for the tests and you will pass easily. He's super chill and nice.
Repasky is a graduate student but knows what he is talking about! Every class you take a short quiz for attendance online. Pay attention to power points because they are NOT online. Tests are hard!
Lectures are super engaging so you don't get bored. He tries to keep the class as fun as possible while still teaching at the same time. If you pay attention to the power points in class and go over them before tests you will definitely be successful. Show up to class to take the socrative quizzes!
Energetic young professor. Up front an honest, clearly explains concepts, and has a massively overcrowded class. You should definitely attend.
took him for general psych and liked him so much that i took him for behavioral research as well even though im not even a psych major. he is a great professor who understands students and his class is easy as long as u study for the tests. attendance is not mandatory and powerpoints are online so you dont really have to go. u dont need textbook.
Not the easiest subject and whoever likes scientific writing is crazy pants. 2 long papers (min 8 pages) to write, 4 article assignments (2-4 pgs), 3 MC exams, final is a presentation on one of the research papers you wrote. Offers extra credit thru participation with SONA. Makes it interesting and relevant. VERY HELPFUL! Highly recommended.
he's a great teacher! he gives so much extra credit and genuinely wants you to succeed. he also doesn't give out minuses, only pluses! (so if you get an 81, you have a B, if you can an 86, you get a B+). he will explain everything to you if you ask and he'll make sure you understand. such a great teacher and i would love to take his class again!!
DO NOT BUY THE TEXT BOOK OR WILEY PLUS! This class is straight memorization of the slides he gives during class. DO AS MANY SONA HOURS AS POSSIBLE. Final is optional if happy with grade! Finished with 86 but SONA Extra credit it put me at a 92% and I didn't have to take the final. He's very helpful during office hours! Lectures get long and boring.
DON'T BUY THE BOOK. Just memorize his slides, study a little, and you'll easily make an A. Do as many SONA hours as you can. Definitely worth the extra credit to bump your grade. Start SONA as soon as you can, it can be difficult to get studies because of the number of students participating & how you answer on the prescreen.
Dr. Repasky is an amazing professor and is absolutely hilarious! He makes the material interesting and memorable. There are only 4 tests so there is not much room to mess up, but extra credit is offered if you bomb completely. He is very understanding and wants to get to know you. I would take his class a thousand times over just to look at him.
Tests are hard if you don't study and know the material, but this class is a breeze. Don't buy the textbook! If you do 15 hours of Sona, you will get 5% added on your overall grade. You don't ever have to go to class, but he randomly takes attendance. Make friends who will sign you in if you miss it. Drops a test at the end, so final is optional!
Dr. Repasky is a super cool guy and a good prof. He's fresh out of school so he's really young and totally understands our college struggles. Tests aren't bad and he basically reads off of the powerpoint verbatim during lecture. P.S. He brings candy for tests and offers bonus points for SONA :)
Dr. Repasky is a great professor. He was super helpful if you ever had any questions about anything and he listened to the needs of the class. However, lectures are pretty boring. You can't even take notes on the lecture because it's literally just what's in the powerpoint. One minor thing, he speaks in upspeak, but overall, interesting class.
Gen Psych was a great experience with Prof. Repasky. He's a fun and enjoyable presence in the class and has a great sense of humor. His lectures are easy to follow and are really interesting. If you feel like skipping, just ask a friend for their notes. Tests are super easy to cram for and his bonus points from SONA make the class an easy A.
This is my second time taking a class with Repasky and I would definitely take him again! He's kind of a dork and laughs easily which makes class pretty fun. The material he has to cover isn't the most interesting, but he makes it bearable. 2 long papers, 4 short papers, 3 tests, and a presentation sounds like a lot but it's not bad at all!
The class was boring, but not very hard. Repasky is pretty dull but has a sense of humor and is super chill. He just reads the Power Points. 6 papers and 3 exams, one presentation at the end. None of the assignments were that challenging, there is EC and other grade boosters. Worst thing is he is the slowest grader ever and rarely updated ecollege.
Boring and lazy professor that always shows up late to class and it takes him forever to grade tests, even though they are scantron. It's an easy A, however, so you should take the class just don't take this man seriously as a college professor.
Repasky is literally the best professor I've had at TCU. The class is pretty lecture-heavy, but he makes them so much fun. I'm not even a psych major and I absolutely loved this class. Would definitely take any other class he offered in the future!!
Professor Repasky did not require you to be in class, but it was helpful to show up for the simple fact that it was little things you should know from class that aren't covered in the notes. when he gave study guides it was very helpful. Do the 15 sona credits because it boosted my grade from a C to a B which was great!
DEFINITELY take him for general psych! He makes his lectures interesting with examples and videos. Quizzes are participation only and the exams are straight from the powerpoint- I never even bought the book. Fun class and easy A
Nice funny guy, but very few grading opportunities. Try to do as many SONA hours (5 was required for the class, but you get extra credit for doing more).
I really liked this class it was interesting, fun, and super easy. If you show up to class and take notes, you'll know everything on the study guides. There are quizzes but the dates for them are on the syllabus and they are only for a completion grade.
I really enjoyed taking this class, it was very interesting and fun. I learned so much throughout the semester. Repasky is the best professor ever! His lectures are lecture heavy but he goes through each point and explains it, giving examples you can apply to the concepts. He has the best dad jokes ever! Has a great sense of humor during class!
He's a pretty good teacher a little boring but not bad, hella extra credit which is nice tests are slight hard.
He's pretty lenient. There are quizzes but you don't have to take all of them because you get to skip one. He does not care if you show up to class or not but don't expect him to give you all the materials because the ones he posts online are blank sheets and you have to be in class to fill them out. His tests aren't super easy but not impossible
Coolest professor at TCU. Show up to class (not mandatory); most of it revolves around powerpoints/ lectures but he puts them online anyway. Tests come from powerpoints; you don't even need the textbook, and he tells you that. Just study the powerpoints & he loves helping outside of class. It's a shame if you don't get an A in this class!
You do not need to even show up to class to pass. He doesn't add anything in to lecture that isn't in the powerpoint slides (which he uploads to D2L). His tests are made for you to do well-- half of the answer choices are bogus anyways so he makes it relatively obvious as to what the correct answer is. Seriously, don't go to class. Sleep instead.
Take Repasky for Gen Psych! He is such a cool person, and the class itself is not hard at all. Attendance is not required, but if you want an A, I'd recommend showing up to class! I would also highly recommend getting SONA done at the very beginning of the semester; everyone tries to do it last minute and there are no studies left.
Tests are his lectures! You can print the notes beforehand so it's fairly simple. He gives attendance quizzes, you only need 5 and he offers 7 but he tells you what weeks they will be, so they are impossible to miss. Easy class, def take Repasky!
Gregory is a nice man. However, his lectures are the most boring and dry lectures that I have ever experienced. He also takes 10 million years to grade SCANTRON TESTS. The class itself is so easy, literally you can cram the night before and be absolutely fine. Attendance is sorta required: 5 (out of like 7) required in class participation quizzes.
Repasky is really nice and very knowledgeable! Super easy A. Great core class for non psych majors. His lectures can be a little long sometimes but his class is honestly so easy, you would have to try to fail. Easy A if you show up and put a little effort in. Doesnt give - grades only +
Dr. Repasky is a great professor. His lectures, though monotone at times, are very informative and essential to performing well on the test. 80% of your grade comes from 4 tests, so make sure you study for those. His tests aren't difficult if you go to class and study for a couple hours. If you're taking this with other hard classes, don't worry.
Tests are super easy as long as you pay attention to lectures and read your textbook. Pop quizzes every week but are a participation grade so it doesnt matter how many you get correct. Does have extra credit opportunities that are super easy and give you a lot of points at the end of the semester
General psych with Dr Repasky was great! He makes it simple enough for non-majors to understand, and the material is interesting. Just pay attention and look over lecture notes before tests and you'll be fine
Greg is awesome, I would 100% recommend his intro to psyc class! He's SUPER chill and funny. He usually provides lectures online, so if you miss class it's not the end of the world... But still go lol. Tests come straight from lecture pwr. points. He offers SONA study extra credit which can rly boost your grade, so take advantage of those!
Boring lectures
Dr. Repasky's lectures are not the most interesting but if you go to class and fill in the slides and halfway pay attention, you will be fine for the exams as long as you study. His final is optional so if you take it he drops the lowest test score. He gives 5% bonus on overall grade for extra credit. I highly recommend this class.
most chill professor on campus! long lectures but takes time to explain material and makes it relatable so you don't lose interest. loves to crack jokes. book only needed for online quizzes. lets you know about "pop quizzes". as long as you take them you receive 100. DON'T FALL BEHIND ON SONA HOURS! study A LOT for exams as they cover much material
He's great. But, his tests are literally the type of questions that you debate two answers for the entire time and end up overthinking and getting it wrong. Aka (A and c) (a and b) (all of the above) (none of the above). it's honestly quite ridiculous.
Repasky is a very laid back teacher. I took him for Gen Psych and it was my only B that semester. All the other Gen Psych classes are easy A's. I would not recommend his class. He does not give any reviews or study guides and his tests are very difficult. I did 20 hours of SONA extra credit and still made a B. This class is not worth that much time
His lectures are his power points which means that you can study before and have questions. Psychology is normally a super simple class, but his tests make you think (usually it's more than one answer choice type jazz). Overall, he is super nice and caring, and I would 100% take him again. He is not out to get you, and he is really fun to talk to.
Dr. Repasky takes his intro to psych class very seriously. Most people expect an easy A in such a course, but you do have to put in some effort in order to get the A. He does help you A LOT with extra credit. Exams are a little challenging but if you do all the extra credit you should get an A. He is very helpful and loves to answer questions.
Take this class for psych - there is not better professor! If your class is online, it is open note and you don't even have to really attend class to do well. His tests are largely based on his ppts, and they are open note, but because of this they are actually pretty difficult. Reading the textbook helps a lot, and he gives EC. Overall so easy.
Many opportunities to boost your grade. Very kind and relaxed.
Super solid prof. Makes class interesting and as long as you study and put in basic work you'll get an A.
Dr. Repasky is a laid-back, lecture heavy professor. The Introduction to Psychology course I took with him was interesting and a very easy class to succeed in. He is lenient with his students and takes the time to help them with any issues they may have in the class. The tests are take-at-home, open note, open internet and are entirely based on his
He's one of the best professors you can get for this class. Attendance isn't mandatory, but there are 1 question in-class quizzes, so if you don't go to class, check TCU online during class time. They're not graded on accuracy. Tests are online & are open note/book. Do extra SONA studies and get them done early. You can get 5% added to your grade!!
I liked him fine. sometimes hard to follow but he posts power points so youre fine. gives you 7 unexcused absences (plenty), lots of ways to get your grade up. DO SONA! start as soon as possible and get the 15 hours. it is worth it. with all the extra padding I think it will get my grade up to an A.
Repasky is cool. The class is open note, open book and his PowerPoints cover everything you need. At first the grading structure was confusing but he makes it so it really works for you. If you show up to class, you'll do great. Attendance isn't necessarily mandatory but he has attendance quizzes.
Repasky is very passionate about his work and lectures, however, they are very long and wordy. Sometimes it is hard to decipher what he will test over.
This was a decent class. There were times when it was easy and times when it was hard. Repasky is engaging and funny, however I felt that there were questions on the exam that you had no way of knowing the answer to unless you had paid attention to (and remembered) every word he said in lecture. Tests are open book and HW isn't too bad.
Class is all lecture based with slides which are posted online. Most test questions come directly from the slides. Tests are open note and online. There are four tests and a few research assignments spread out through the semester. 5% extra credit SONA hours (surveys and tests) can be achieved. I rarely attended class and still got a high A.
Although I preferred Dr Centanni for POB Dr Repasky still held very interesting lectures. This class is lecture heavy, but he always explained things very clearly and gave great examples of certain concepts. You can get 5% extra credit for sona study participation. I suggest skimming the text book, and paying close attention to the lectures
Dr. Repasky is super lecture heavy and not engaging at all. Tests are online but super hard and specific, you need to remember everything he said to do well. The only grades are the 4 exams and the lab grade. No room for improvement.
Dr. Repasky is not engaging at all and the class is extremely lecture heavy. I took the honors portion of the course and he made us write an APA research paper with no guidance at all and not very clear instructions on what he was expecting. The grade is based in only 5 grades 4 which are exams that are not well formatted and very specific.
I found his lectures to be a bit dry. His quiz and test questions are often really specific and can be confusing. All the power points online and everything is open book. This professor definatly knows his stuff and you can learn a lot if you put in the effort. Don't take if you just need an elective or easy A, but it's not bad at all.
Repasky is a laid back professor. Attendance is not mandatory for every lecture, but there are many pop quizzes that count as attendance just graded by completion.
Don't take this class. Yes, the test is open note but it is very difficult and specific. There is literally no way to study for such a test. The lab is like a lecture and very long. Once again don't take this class, take something else. Good luck
TAKE THIS CLASS!! This is quite possibly the easiest class I have ever taken at TCU. Everything is online, open note/book, and there are only two assignments per unit. His lectures are entertaining and easy to follow, and quizzes are graded very easily. If you just do the assignments, you will get an A, I cannot recommend this class enough!
All tests and quizzes are open book and open note and you do them outside of class. I found his tests hard to get a phenomenal grade on, despite them being open note. Pretty boring class. He only lectures. Grades come from tests, unit submissions, and quizzes. Definitely the best option for intro to psych!
Attendance is not mandatory, however, there are 12 quizzes randomly throughout the semester he assigns in class (not graded) but it's his way of doing attendance so I would recommend going as much as you can. Tests and quizzes are open note and book, not too bad as long as you are familiar with the content because it can be specific sometimes
Repasky is awesome. This was a psych elective (creativity) I loved the class. Tests are open notes, but hard at the same time, attendance is only mandatory for tests and in-class assignments. 3 XC assignments, highly recommend doing all of them, can help boost my grade so much. Very interesting class and he does a wonderful job of teaching it!
Dr. Repasky is the best and it's clear he loves his students and what he does. The class is what you make of it, don't go in thinking you can just breeze by without showing up because you'll definitely need your notes for the tests. There are 3 different extra credit opportunities so I would definitely do those because they boost your grade a lot.
Class is very doable and he is great! Can use notes/textbook/resources for online tests/quizzes. Quizzes-can work w/peers & usually @end of each unit. 5% grade boost if do 10 extra hours of research (start doing research when posted immediately bc limited studies) or a research paper instead. 4 quizzes dropped. Highly recommend for chill class!
Professor Repasky is amazing! He is extremely intelligent. His classes are extremely chill and attendance is not mandatory. He doesn't give dates for upcoming quizzes though so if you are absent on the day of a quiz, you will not get credit. He does drop the 4 lowest quiz scores of the semester if you happen to miss a quiz. Great person too!
Dr. Repatsky seems to be the easiest intro psych professor. All exams are open note/online, pop quizzes happen sometimes but you can work with others and use notes, and short essays for each unit are basically completion. I'd reccomend!
All quizzes and tests open everything except you can not use someone else in the class. I loved his lectures. They were easy to follow and if I needed to clarify he was happy to answer. He also posts all lectures online. There are only 4 assignments (1 page of writing each month). Attendance not mandatory. I would 100% take this again.
Great professor! All tests were online and open note/google. He gave no homework and you really could never go to class. He was a great teacher and had some great teachings.
TAKE HIM FOR INTRO!!!!! This class saved my gpa. Everything is online and open note. He does 14 surprise quizzes throughout the semester but drops 4, and has an exam and written assignment for every unit. Such an easy A I highly suggest him!!!
Prof Repasky was mostly entertaining in his lectures (it could get boring sometimes) and there's no homework. He did random pop quizzes, so you have to show up, but you can use your notes and the internet + they're super easy. There were some essays, but he graded pretty fairly, and the tests were all online and open note.
Prof Repasky was mostly entertaining (the lectures could get a bit boring, though). There were many pop quizzes so you need to show up, but you could use your notes and the internet + they're super easy. No homework, online open-note tests, super fair grading.
Repasky is amazing. He has a good sense of humor, and his lectures are quite interesting. Tests are take home, and they are open note. You will have quizzes throughout the semester, but you can work with classmates and he drops some of your lowest scores. Highly recommend!
Lectures can be boring but tests are so easy and u just need to take notes. You get extra credit for coming to class is not a lot of ppl are there. TAKE POB very easy science credit.
This is an easy class to cover core or good if you're interested in psychology. Attendance is not mandatory, but there are some in-class quizzes that you'll want to be there for to get credit. Overall, Repasky is a great professor.
class is sooo easy. there is four tests, all online on your own and you can use all your notes/the internet. his class is not mandatory (really boring) and he just goes through his lectures (which are posted online).
Professor Repasky was great! His class is extremely easy as tests are taken outside of class and he allows you to use notes, the textbook, and AI. Very few assignments other than research hours and a short written assignment per unit. His lectures can be boring at times but overall he tries to make them interesting.
Easy A. A few papers are doable, as well as pop quizzes. He drops your 6 worst quizzes, so you're guaranteed to have a good avg. quiz grade. Exams are online no lockdown. Take him
If you show up to class you will be fine. You can look up all the exams, the in class quizzes which are done for attendance, and the papers are less than a page. So easy
Great professor for intro psych. Keeps it simple. Online exams not taken in class are super easy. Even if you don't do well on exams, there are actual assignments that will provide your grade a cushion, but your exam grades will be fine, trust me. Very nice guy who will work with you.
very hard not to pass his class. gives you everything needed to succeed. you do have to write a small paper every so often but nothing to bad
Live laugh love Dr. Repasky. Super nice and an easy class. Get on your SONA hours early though, because they fill up at the end of the semester.
This is such an easy fun class. Turn your papers in on time! We have a in class assignment once a week but your friend can tell you when it is. Some of the other psych teachers are super hard and this was one of my most favorite and non work heavy classes
He is a great psych professor. He is very knowledgeable about the topics and wants his students to succeed. Class attendance isn't mandatory but there is one in class activity a week thats open note/internet. There are 4 take home exams that are open note/internet including the final. There are four 1 page research assignments that his TA's grade.
TAKE HIS CLASS! Attendance is not mandatory, tests are online no lockdown browser. Pop quizzes are attendance but are online. I would recommend doing the alternate assignment for research credit, way easier.
If you are taking this class for a core, it will be the easiest A of your TCU career. Attendance is not mandatory, and all tests are non-lockdown, and you don't have to be in class. There are weekly quizzes, and he doesn't tell you when they are, so watch out for those. Otherwise, super easy.
I litteraly love this class and repasky he is the BEST. Attendance is not mandatory but the in class activities will bring your grade down if you are not there to do them. The content is interesting and there are really only 3 assignments which are easy. For sure take this class!
Great teacher I will be sad to leave this class. He cares for his students, a very nice, humorous guy, who makes the class a lot of fun if you participate in lectures/activities. Attendance isn't mandatory. theres a activity/quiz once a week. He also allows open notes during exams. Easy class, turn everything in on time, you have a guaranteed A.
Super chill professor this class was basically my study hall. Tests are open note, open Internet, online, and no lockdown browser. Only four short one page papers and four exams including the final. If you don't get an A, you weren't trying. Just stay on top of SONA hours they fill up fast so check the sit consistently!
Super relaxed class! tests were online and you can take them anywhere. attendance doesn't matter, but there will be in class activities online that you get graded for, but overall take him, hes the best!!
Loved Dr. Repasky. Took him for a core credit, and would love to take him again. He makes his classes fun, and is genuinely a nice guy. Tests are online, and although we have in class activities once a week, they are very easy. He is an amazing lecturer as well. Couldnt recommend enough.
Very nice and respectable professor. All the tests are take home hand have 1 short easy paper per unit. Definitely take this class he is great.
The class is very interesting. Also the exams are worth 4/5s of your grade and 4 mandatory attendance days are worth 1/5 of it. He gives extra credit too.
Love Dr Repasky. He makes class fun, attendance isn't mandatory and his exams are available to take at home. He is really funny and very knowledge in his field. Definitely take his class!
Repasky is a great lecturer! He's hilarious too. Gives so much extra credit that it's basically impossible to fail. Tests are online and no lockdown browser but kinda tricky questions and short time limit. The papers and in class assignments were easy As. Definitely start the SONA hours asap and go for the multi part studies! Take his class fs!!
