Had him for stats. Best math teacher I've ever had. If you go to class, you will get an A. He provides notes outlines to actively fill out during class and makes sure he does his part in teaching you the material. He's also hilarious.

This has got to be the best a math class can get. The work is fairly easy if you attend class, Mr. Wright is HILARIOUS, and you do a lot of mathlab which is pretty much a guarenteed 100.

This was one of the easiest classes I've taken. I've taken Calculus before, so this class was a breeze. My only issue was keeping up with the MyStatLab assignments. Tests are pretty easy, class is easy, Mr. Wright is funny, and you don't even usually need to memorize the equations. This class felt like high school.

Mr. Wright is really sweet and really funny. His quirky style of teaching was easy to follow. WebAssign is extremely difficult towards the end of the semester and he is not willing to negotiate missed or incorrect grades.

Mr. Wright is probably my favorite teacher here my 1st semester. There was only 28 statlab assignments. Do them on time and you'll do fine. Follow along with the notes in class. I never missed a class. He will work with you if you ask. He is funny, and will try to make it fun and get you involved a little bit. Take his class. Easy A-B if you try.

He is so funny and makes everything extremely understandable. I wouldn't have wanted to take anyone but him for this class. If you do the work and complete the homework on time you will make an easy A for sure.

Super quirky and funny! Made an 8am math class enjoyable and i HATE math. Probably the easiest class I will ever take. never used textbook, extra credit on exams, calculator friendly. only thing that sucked was WebAssign but thats not the professor, its the department. TAKE HIM! SUPER EASY A!

Mr. Wright made class like a comedy skit everyday and literally was the most helpful/best all around math teacher I have had thus far. If you pay attention in class, do the webassign, and take ok notes you will get an a. The lowest test grade I got was a 91, and I rarely studied.

Pretty awesome teacher. He makes little jokes here and there and he's pretty clear with the material. He also encourages you to ask for help and he's definitely enthusiastic about math. One of the best teachers. I'm sure I would have made an A if I tried harder. He dressed as Darth Vader for Halloween, too!

His statistic class is hard but its stats, very expected. Come to class, do your work, and laugh when he answers his own questions haha you'll be fine! Come to class to understand work!!!

So easy. He posts note-taking guides and explains everything a lot so it's easy to understand even for the slowest person. He spends days on one chapter. Tests are easy and usually come from homework or notes. But the StatLab online homework was harder and wasn't all covered in the notes. If you just need a math credit and a GPA boost take him.

This class was extremely easy. He would give multiple examples for the simplest concepts. He was always willing to help. There's not too much work. Definitely recommend if you need a GPA boost.

If you have to take math 125, he's the one to take. He's clear about everything in the class. Go to class and do the homework and you will a good understanding of the class. Easy to pass, you don't have to put an excessive amount of effort to get an A. Do study guide before the test and you will be fine every time.

Math is usually really difficult for me but Professor Wright made Calculus seem easy. The note guides he provided made class organizaed and structured. You have online homework and usually a quiz after each section, but he usually let us do those in pairs. Easiest math class I've had hands down. Would take again in a heartbeat.

Great professor HIGHLY recommend as he actually KNOWS HOW TO TEACH and is always eager to explain a problem that was not understood. He offers printed notes to fill out as well as study guides which are VERY helpful. He is also very funny and keeps everyone engaged, you will not leave this class without learning something.

Greg is a great guy, but the online homework is WAY harder than anything you learn in class, and it honestly can take 5 hours to do. It's so time consuming and useless.. his tests are usually harder than class material as well. But, very little written homework, and very nice guy.

Mr. Wright is a great professor. He really cares about his students getting good grades. The slides are easy to follow along with and he makes you packets to just fill in the blank. Super nice and easy going and willing to help you.

Prof Wright is very knowledgeable and will work with you during office hours and is very caring. Studying outside of class if essential or you will not perform well. Also, the note guides are very helpful and easy to follow. He also does review sessions before test which is not required. He is a hard test grader, but allows group quizzes.

The way he teaches makes learning easier, and he tries to make things up that are funny and help with the formula aspect. He gives a good amount of homework and there's usually a quiz the day the homework is due over what we learned that week. He is a good teacher.

Prof. Wright is an amazing teacher and cares about his students. With that being said, he can be very snippy and goofy. He grades very precisely and it has to be a certain way but that just makes sure you are ready for how the final will be graded. He loves athletes. Would recommend taking him 100%.

He was a great professor who really made sure you knew the content! There was homework every class and a partner quiz at the end of every chapter. Really if you showed up and paid attention in class by filling out the notes sheet he provides you will be fine. The reviews for the tests were just like the actual test.

By far my favorite professor I have had at Tennessee. Really cares for his students and wants everyone to succeed. Entertaining in class and helps you understand material and will even go out of his way to help you if you don't. Just have to make an effort. Definitely take his class. Also, loves sports.

I really enjoyed Dr. Wright for intro calc. Attend class, do the homework, and above all ASK QUESTIONS if you don't understand and you will do great. The textbook is necessary to complete the online homework, but luckily Dr. Wright set up the homework portal to include video tutorials explaining how to do similar problems which is so helpful.

he doesn't take attendance but he gives you a packet each class and you work together as a class on it and they are a good reference when studying for the tests. He allows you to either use your notes or work together on the quizzes so those are easy As. The tests are departmental for Precal but they aren't bad if you actually listen in class/do hw

I was in the tues/thurs class so we had daily quizzes (very easy and able to work with other students and open notes 4/5 times), he is amazing. the textbook and homework are online and you have a while to do it, he is a really good professor. gives notes handouts every day. Dr. Wright was the best professor I have ever had. He prepares you completely for each test and every quiz is usually group or open note quizzes. Make sure to do the homework and go over his study guides before each test and you'll get at least a B. Love this man and wish he was teaching my next math class

Awesome teacher, and I thought his class was fun and easy. You have to go to class, but he is great at teaching and he's super likeable and fun.

If I had done my homework, I would have had a high A in the class. Easy 2-4 problem quizzes multiple times a week. Lots of review given by the department to help you prepare for exams. Easy A if you do all the homework, notes, and pay attention in class. One time he brought us donuts. Cares about the students, and is really funny. Best math prof!!!

The material didn't get difficult until we were halfway through, but he was a great professor. I got a C because I wasn't willing to put in enough effort not because of the professor. He has a great sense of humor. There is a quiz every other class, but a lot of the time you can work with the people around you.

Prof Wright is really a fantastic professor. He really cares that his students learn the material, and the way he explains things is very easy to understand and follow. He prints out his own lecture papers to hand out to everyone (at least for Math 130) and you follow along with him in the lecture. He teaches very very well!

Greg Wright is absolutely amazing in every way, he knows his stuff and can communicate that very well to students. He grades very fairly and gives partial credit for problems whenever the chance is given. He is so good I actually hoped he taught my next class just to take him. You will not regret taking him!

Professor Wright is one of the only mathematics professors that has made me feel like I was learning something. He truly makes an effort to try and teach his students, especially those that he knows are struggling. He's understanding and honestly has a sort of charm to him. Math isn't my strong suit, but he definitely made it more bearable.

Quizzes(2-3 problems) + Homework 20%. 6 Unit Tests(12-15 problems) worth 60% (10% each). Cumulative Final 20%. Grades fairly giving partial credit. Attendance not require but highly suggested!

Mr. Wright was pretty good. He was understanding, encouraging, and if you show up then he knows your trying atleast and will help you with whatever. He also emails back pretty fast, and was really nice. If the next math class he taught wasnt at 8am then I would absolutely take him again.

One of the best math professors you could ask for on campus. He's really good at teaching and helps with problems you may have. The only downside is he grades pretty hard and gives no extra credit or curves but other than that he's funny and great. I am taking him for 142 now after I took 141 last semester

I love this man. He will always tell you exactly what to study for the tests and responds to any questions you have. I have him in the summer for 132 and again in the fall for 142 if you show up to class it's impossible to fail this class. Honestly, even if you don't show up all the lectures are posted online anyway so you can watch them later.

Simply pay attention, I did not and now I am facing the consequences but he cares, he moved a little fast in the class. Use your resources PLEASE, I also didn't do that. AND PRINT THE ONLINE CLASS WORKSHEETS, THEY HELP.

Honestly his class was really fun to be in. He made calculus 1 seem like it was just 1+1=2 (for me). He is funny though I don't know what he does to be so funny. If you ask him a question he will explain it until you do understand it. Take him for CALC 1. Great Teacher :)

Professor is an extremely hard grader. Expect to lose excessive points on the exams for minor things. Though the testing is difficult the professor is very good at teaching math. I took this class over the summer not having taken math in years and never taken calculus; still made an A-. The professor sticks around after class to answer questions.

Mr. Wright was a great professor. I thought he was really good at teaching the material and the class grading was clear. We got quizzed every week that wasn't that hard if you went to class. The tests were difficult but doing the homework will help since the homework is harder problems. Mr. Wright was pretty chill, and attendance isn't mandatory.

Greg was by far the best math teacher I have ever had. He genuinely cares that everyone does well and understands the material. He makes himself very available outside of class via email. He has a clear passion for teaching and it shows in how he lectures and goes over the material carefully.

Professor Wright is a great teacher. Calc II is known for being one of the most difficult math classes but he made material very understandable and provided lots of practice to make sure we did good on the exam. He gave us group quizzes every week and worksheets over most of the lessons. He is super nice and I would 100% take him again.

As other reviews have voiced, Greg is one of the best math teachers out there as he does a great job of breaking down step by step how to solve a problem. Consider yourself lucky that you live in the same time period as Gregory Wright.

Lots of assignments, but in small doses so that it sticks while not being a burden. Group quizzes, small homework, big-picture tests (doesn't ask questions about the minor details). Genuinely caring guy too, funny and learned all of our names (like 30 students) within the first week. Catches you up with notes if you are late. Cant recommend enough

One of my absolute favorite professors. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! He's the Math 115 course coordinator so it was great to learn from him since he makes the final. He explains things very well and has helpful office hours to give you more help if needed. He goes over tests and homework in class, he's a fair grader and overall a great person. 10/10 professor

Greg is the BEST! I took CalcII with him. He teaches similarly to how high school teachers might teach. There are take home worksheets that you turn in for credit, and quizzes once a week during class that you can work on with other students. He is amazing teacher and is hilarious! I was nervous about the class, but he made it easy and manageable.

Calc 2 is one of the more daunting Engineering Fundamentals courses but Professor Wright makes this course a lot of fun and easy to understand. His lectures are always fun to attend and he truly cares about the students. He prints off notes and goes over many practice problems. Even if you are a little behind in math, he patiently helps you out.

The most engaging teacher on campus. Cares about his students and wants them to succeed. It is a VERY difficult class compared to Calc 1 in my opinion and some of the other Calc2 professors are much easier graders.

Professor Wright was the best math instructor I have had to date. Not only is he a funny and caring guy, but he also does a great job at explaining topics and answering questions. He provides great guided notes and does group quizzes! The quizzes give your grade a lot of cushion for exams, but I wouldn't say those were overly difficult either.

Dr. Wright is a wonderful mathematics professor. I had his Calc 3 class and I think thanks to him I was able to understand the content really well. His lectures are well structured with guided notes to go along with or you can write your own if you want to. His tests are well prepared for as well as the quizzes all being consistent.

Second time having him and the first time was so nice, I had to do it twice. Gives good review material and exams are not impossible. He's fun to talk to and his quizzes/group exercises are not to difficult. Diff eq is a very professor dependent class and I would argue Greg is the best professor to take it with. G Money the goat.
