Horrible at explaining things. I had her for the second half of the mandatory statistics class in the psychology degree, and I really wish she wasn't the only option for teachers. She laughs when people asks questions and makes comments like "this is high school math." Not a huge fan.

She is very unorganized and confused and this shows in her lectures and exams. She often switches exam questions after the exam is posted. She does not utilize D2l very well and it is confusing to navigate her page. She is not helpful by email either. I strongly suggest to never take a class with her if you care about your mental health.

Dr. Chan does some real slow, monotone lectures. She also has a thick accent, so be ready for that. All the exams had a written portion as well as multiple choice, but the class was doable. She's one of those profs whose lectures you can skip and still do well in the class.

Dr. Chan was an overall decent professor. Her tests were easy, and she devoted lecture time before tests to review which helped immensely. she's nice but its extremely hard to understand what she's saying. I recommend not going to lectures and teaching urself using lectures and textbook. if there's another prof take them instead.

She wasn't that bad. She answered our questions, and she was easy to talk to in her office hours. The tests and quizzes were so annoying though. Some things that were taught in class I couldn't understand, no matter how many ways she explained it to me. She was better than my other Psych 200 prof by far!!

Greta is a great prof. She is kind and straightforward. This particular class is easy, just come to class, or don't... just make sure you read and understand the slides and little bit of the textbook and you will get a A+, its really that simple. She is so underrated, people who complain about her are CRAZY... good luck chat, godspeed!

Greta chan is a really kind prof, I don't understand scathing reviews of her class she seems really nice and caring her PowerPoints are really good and the prep for exams she gives is really good. She's easy to talk to after class and very pleasant and accommodating towards students I 100% recommend taking her class.

Greta seems like a very nice person but she is nearly impossible to understand. I use class time to go ahead in the notes but other than that I completely tune her out as I get nothing out of what she's saying. Show up to the Top Hat quizzes because they'll help prepare for the tests, but other than that class is pretty much a waste of time.

One of the best profs in my opinion at the UCalgary. The practice problems and office hours are helpful. Dr.Chan cares about her students going above and beyond to helping them succeed. Lecture slides is key compared to textbook material.

Initially, I found Greta really hard to understand, because that woman can spit bars in lecture (I had her in 200, 201) But her slides are great, studying from her slides was super beneficial, everything you need to know for tests is there, same with her practice tests that she also goes over in the in class review period. Overall, funny and warm!

Chan knows her stuff and can deliver through her slides. A big problem for a lot of students is that she can be hard to understand during lectures but I actually got used to it quickly and can understand fine. I took 200 and 201 with her and they're structured similarly with 3 fairly easy exams for the whole grade. Textbook was only supplementary

Great professor. Period. People complaining about her, clearly have not had a "bad" professor before. So kind, so caring, office hours at any time, helpful, and even lets you make up for missed exams. What a beauty. The slides are all you need, "I can't understand her", that's a you problem, this class is easy whether you understand her or not.

Dr. Chan is extremely accommodating, and passionate about psyc. It's super easy to do well in this class if you put in the effort, as the material isn't very difficult to understand (especially if you've taken bio 30). In my opinion, reading the textbook isn't necessary - anything from there that's on the tests she will tell you in lecture!

So nice, but hard to understand. Luckily the concepts are easy to understand just going through notes/textbook. She let me write so many of my exams weeks after the actual day because i couldn't come that day, and she never gave me a specific time, just said to pop by her office when i can. The tests are pretty easy, a bit of effort is all.

Attendance isn't mandatory as she just reads her slides and is kind of hard to understand making it more confusing. The tests cover stuff from the textbook that she doesn't go over in class so read the assigned readings and maybe more. Her tests are hard and you really have to understand the concepts not just memorize things

This course is very similar in style to her PSYC 200 class. Her lectures are difficult to understand and offer nothing that can't be found in her slides/textbook from what I could tell. I only went twice. Just study what she posts on D2L and you'll do well! She seems open to questions from what people on the class discord said though.

It is a lot of content, so don't procrastinate. Unfortunately, she's the only Intro PSYC Prof in the 2024-2025 year so 1rst year Psych majors can't really escape her.

I don't understand why the reviews for this class are so scathing. The test where relatively easy, just memorize what was on the lecture slides.
