very professional, but good speaker. Easy if u go to class and try and pay attention
smart, more interesting than expected
really great class! interesting stuff and I don't really like history
Excellent class! I might like history after taking this class. Very, very interesting.
Great o
She was an amazing teacher. Not very hard if you listen and study her notes. Recommended for History before 1877!!
Show up to class and make an effort by taking notes and reviewing and you will succeed.
Intimidating at first but turns out to be a really nice lady. Her tests are easy if you know anything about history and read over the notes. Essays aren't difficult to write, just as long as you provide enough detail.
She is a great teacher. Really easy if you pay attention. Tests are short and pretty basic. She never does attendance, quizes, or homework. All essays are done at home then brought in as part of the test. She lets you retake any and all tests at the end of the year. You have to really not care at all to get lower than a B.
Couldn't undersand anything she said and her TAs graded WAY too hard on the "essays"
She is an awesome teacher! Super funny and pretty easy tests :)
Keeps things fun and interesting, always willing to joke, and very willing to work with you on essay topics. Can't say enough good about her, def. my favorite history professor ever.
Super easy
Attendance is not mandatory in class, but it is in discussion. She drops one of your test grades and there are three essays over books. The grading is decently easy on the essays. She tends to wander during her lectures, so definitely read your textbook.
She's great. Makes history interesting so much so that I was actually bummed when I skipped. Essays are easy and don't require reading the books (just a skim through). Exams are easy as well, and she drops one of five, and allows a make up day for any you miss. Take this class if you have the chance!
Excellent instructor. Actually challenges class to learn something. Demonstrates thorough knowledge of subject. Good sense of humor.
Great professor, made class very interesting. We watched a couple of movies in this class. Taking her class is one of the reasons I decided to major in history!
Professor Adams is a great professor. Kind of funny in her own way, but all the material (pretty much) needed to know for the tests is given in class in notes. Discussions are easy, and generally don't last the entire time. Take her, easy A with a little effort, and interesting as history can be.
Professor Adams is the bees knees! The class is not that hard as long as you show up and she drops your lowest test grade. And discussion is a joke you show up, listen to the discussion teacher talk, then leave. The class is an easy "A" folks!
Dr. Adams is awesome! She's such a good professor, and all the tests are multiple choice. We didn't write one essay this semester. She's incredible!
She's really cool and gives you a lot of answers on the exams
EASY, EASY, EASY! went to class once a week, got a hundred on all the test, and enjoyed her class. very hard to do bad, gives you every single opportunity to have success.
Fantastic teacher, very clear and good at presenting the information in a way that is easily understood. No homework, if you show up and pay a little bit of attention you'll get an A.
She was a very good teacher. If you take good notes and do assigned readings, you will make an A in her class. I've even received 100's on tests! Just be sure to STUDY!
Hands down my favorite professor. It's and easy A, I never touched my book and I made 100's on every test except one where I got a 98, but she drops your lowest test score so I ended the year with a 100 in the class. She's funny and makes the material interesting. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this professor!
Honestly the best professor I've ever taken. She taught this senior level class like we were tall truly adults. She was funny, brief in her lectures, and explained every assignment 100%. Not to mention, she was so encouraging and I loved going to her class. I reccomend her to anyone who likes history.
Professor Adams only assigns two essays and a Mid Term and a Final Exam. The essays are easy because they are only one page long. There are a lot of readings to do before every discussion class, because you will normally be quizzed or have to do an activity. She does not give out study guides before the test, so be sure to show up!
Professor Adams makes history so fun and interesting and I absolutely hated history going into her class. you have a midterm and a final and then 2 one-two page papers due in the discussion section. Mr. Vice is great for the discussion section! Very easy A, just takes a little effort.
Needing to take this for graduation, I dreaded taking this class because I have never liked history at all. Little did I know that Prof. Adams' history class would be my favorite class. Great speaker, adds humor, very interesting, informative, and best of all, you will actually want to go to class.
Easy prof. only 2 essays and only 2 tests (mid-term & final). Show up to lectures most of the time and you'll get an A.
This class is an easy A. The prof is clear about what is going to be on the test, and makes the lectures entertaining. Two essays(no more than 3 pages), and two test were really our only grades besides discussion. I highly suggest attending lectures.
This class was an easy A. All you really have to do is show up to the lecture and take notes. There were two essays and two tests (including the final). The tests were multiple choice and extremely easy. The only tricky thing is, she doesn't hand out study guides, so you have to study all of your notes.
Everyone who wrote reviews before covered most everything. Just go to class and write down everything on the powerpoints, then study the notes a couple times before exams. There were two essays, a mid term and a final. Both tests last semester were multiple choice due to unfortunate events but I don't think they're normally that way. Overall: Easy!
LOVED this class. She is funny and makes her lectures entertaining and easy to understand. I wish she could teach all of my history classes.
Dr. Adams was so funny, and she truly understands her students. She uses language easy to understand, and it is impossible for her to do a lecture without an entire lecture hall laughing. When it is time to take this class you have to take it with Dr. Adams!
I only showed up to this class three times. On the first day, mid-term exam, and for the final. Doesn't take attendance in lecture, but discussion is a must. There are two incredibly easy essays (no more than 3 pages) and 2 exams. For the final, she told us that we could either take it, or use the same grade we made on our mid-term if we did well.
I dreaded going to this class which made me perform badly on the midterm. Then I realized I needed to take the class more seriously, and once I got more into it and actually went to lectures, I realized Dr, Adams is BY FAR my favorite professor! An easy A if you go to lecture and discussion and pay a little bit of attention.
I think i was supposed to buy like 2 or three books for this class for two essay assignments but i just looked them up on the internet and managed to get good grades on both with out looking at it until the day before it was due. After the first test i never went back to class. managed to get an A in this class with minimal effort.
BEST TEACHER AT TEXAS TECH ! So realistic and so nice.
Easy A, she is cutecute and a great teacher. She likes me
My favorite professor at TTU! We had very few assignments and her lectures were actually interesting. 10/10 would recommend taking her for History.
Professor Adams is a really good instructor, her lectures keep you interested and as long as you go to class you will do good in the course.
Great Professor! She has good lectures that areeasy to take notes on. She gives super easy assignments (like one paragraph replies to assignments that other professors give whole essays for). She gives plenty of extra credit, but you won't need it. Dr. Adams is a fantastic professor, and even though her class is easy, I still learned a lot.
Her lectures are interesting. However, I recommend sitting in the front row. I made the mistake of sitting in the back, and her voice is monotone so I began tuning out to what she was saying. If you write notes in class you will do well in the exams. There is also a few writing assignments which are not to difficult if you put in the effort.
Pretty easy class. I went 3 times the whole semester(Attendance is not mandatory) . One writing test, one take home test, and one multiple choice. She also sends out study guides to the tests. There is also two book essays and three short (only a paragraph) document responses. Highly recommend this class.
Dr. Adams is my favorite professor at Tech. She's so funny and keeps lectures interesting so you want to learn more. As long as you're in class you will pass the exams. Sit towards the front so you aren't distracted and can get the notes that will make you successful. I wish she taught 2301 so I could have her as my teacher again.
Awesome Professor.
Dr. Adams has been a real treat to be taught by. Show up to lectures and take notes and you'll pass. She is funny and keeps everything fresh by adding funny stories. I would not mind taking this class again because it was just that fun.
Professor Adams is great! If you show up to class and take notes, you won't need the textbook and you'll ace the tests. She's fair and wants you to pass her class. She is surprisingly funny and keeps your attention in class. I would definitely take this class again.
She is the best! If you go to every class you'll get an easy A. On days where there are only a few students she gives extra credit to those who are there. There are only five grades all year, two essays, four exams (she takes the highest three). I never opened the textbook and made a high A. She makes lots of joke during lectures!
Take this class for your history credit!! Dr. Adams is an awesome human and made me laugh a good amount through the semester. Very Very easy A just go to class and take some notes.
Great professor! Probably went to class like 3 times. Her tests are super easy just get the notes! So funny.
Very funny and student-friendly. Lectures can go both ways, sometimes they're fun to listen to while other times they can be uninteresting. Exams are extremely easy especially if you have prior knowledge of history.
Adams is super nice and makes easy tests with gimme questions she will probably drop an extra credit day she thinks most people will skip the class is only graded tests based on her lectures so make sure you get notes somehow one of our tests was written and it was a easy 100 she is very knowledgeable and dosnt want to fail ppl so give a lil effort
Dr. Adams is amazing. She is such a sweetheart and makes sure to give everyone opportunity. She saw I gave someone next to me a scantron and gave me 4 extra credit points on my test. Love her
Easiest class. Only 4 test and final is optional. Attendance isn't mandatory but tests questions are over lecture. And gives extra credit the lectures after tests since a lot of people don't show up.
LOVE LOVE LOVE ADAMS best professor i have ever had! go to class to take notes from her slides, she pulls info from these for tests. 3 tests and paper and final is optional. super sweet and caring and wants her students to succeed.
Professor Adams is so nice and very understanding. You can tell she truly wants the best for all her students. You are only graded on 4 tests but have the option of taking a total of 5, meaning your lowest test is dropped and so you don't have to take the final if you have a good grade. Came to class not knowing we had an exam and still got an A.
The tests are so easy if you go to class and take notes. she sends no outlines for the test which seems scary but if you went to class she helps you know what to study. the textbook is free and you don't need it unless your class gets switched online. The final is optional. she is also super caring and understanding.
Adams gives 5 exams, only 1 is mandatory. You can take the first 4 exams, and skip the last if you are happy with your grade. Her lectures drag on forever, but she is the sweetest little lady and makes this class so easy. She doesn't give homework ever. Literally show up, be respectful, and take the exams and you WILL get an A in her class.
do not take this professor for an online class. Her lectures are horrible (she simply reads over a poorly written powerpoint in a monotone voice while mispronouncing words). Her exams are "fun little essays" where you are supposed to pretend to be a person from the time period you are studying sadly there is not enough information given to do that.
LOve love love, class is so easy. Just writing papers. You don't have to listen to lectures or take notes, just look in the text book for what you are writing over. Really easy, got all A's on every paper so far.
For the online course, there is one paper due every 2 weeks essentially. There are no assignments just exams. All exams are an essay prompt that is fairly simple. I passed the course by only using the online textbook and notes (not by listening to her hour long lecture). At the end of the semester, if you missed a due date she will open it up!!
I took the class online and I'm super glad that I took Professor Adams because it was really easy for a history course. I am terrible at history and I did really well in this class by reading the textbook and watching the lectures. You have an essay every 2 weeks and they are easy prompts. All you have to do is find the information in the textbook!
Professor Adams is the nicest professor I've had in my two years at Tech! She always responded to my emails quickly, and she was so helpful! Only assignments were 5 essay exams, a short-answer exam, and a final essay exam (all were super easy and you could make them unique by what topic you chose). I wish I could have her again! Best online class!
I took Prof. Adams for a single semester and would highly recommend. She is lax on homework if you get behind, as well as helping with any issue you may have pertaining to either her class or your academic health.
I ended this class with a 100. Really easy as long as you turn in all of your assignments and go to class. Dr. Adams personally is very understanding and lenient on homework and other assignments. She is super reachable. I personally thought the lectures were kinda boring, but American history isn't my thing. Take her if you want an easy A.
This class has 4 exams and an optional final, each exam counts for 25% of the grade. The exams have the absolute most random questions. I have attended lecture yet consecutively score B's on the exams. The class has done significantly worse with Exam 1 recieving a 74, and Exam 2 recieving a 78 average. I would recommend her if you like getting a B
Dr. Adams told the class in lecture yesterday that around 40% of the class failed exam 3. Why would she tell us that? It shows that the material is not being properly communicated to the class. Most of the time no one can understand her because she doesn't use a microphone and refuses to take off her mask in a sparsley populated, lecture hall.
Professor only had slides in class, and never put them in blackboard to reference. Also didn't let us take any pictures of the slides if she was going too fast, or she threatened to take down the slides and only speak. She didn't communicate to us through emails and never told us what was on the tests. Do not recommend.
Dr. Adams is always so sweet in class and makes sure it is clear what information from the lectures will be seen on the test. There are no test reviews but if you pay attention to which material she emphasizes in class then you should be fine.
Not clear at all, on what is expected on exams. Take this class with another instructor who likes their students and wants to help them. The only question people ask in class is to "go back a slide" because she goes so fast and proceeds to get mad when someone takes a picture. It's no wonder she has abysmal attendance with probably 25% showing up.
Overall, this was one of the best classes that I have taken. The tests were very easy for me because the majority of the material was based on the lectures. The only reason why there would be negative reviews for Dr. Adams is that they did not show up to lecture most of the time.
Gretchen was a pretty good professor. Her lecture slides are pretty simple and straight to the point, and she makes concepts pretty simple. She does not share her lecture slides so you need to show up to actually get them. If you attend lecture everyday, her exams are insultingly easy. If you don't, then you might not do so well.
If you go to class and take her notes it is an easy A. If you blow off the lectures you will struggle because her lectures are cultivated to her exams. Textbook is given to you free online if you needed.
If attendance is low she gives out test questions and answers for the upcoming exam. She truly cares about teaching and it translates in lecture. There are a total of 5 exams including the final, but the 4 highest are graded. Class goes by fast. The final is pretty much just the same questions from the previous tests, which she lets you keep.
Very easy if you pay attention in class. There are four tests and a final, but she drops the lowest grade and all the tests are very easy and all multiple choice. Attendance is not mandatory, but crucial to your grade and being able to do well on the tests. You also don't have to pay for the textbook.
Attend lectures and skim over the FREE textbook and youll make an A. Amazing lectures and values her students. She claims she is mean and evil but definitely a very sweet lady if you just talk to her. I 100% would take her class again because she UNDERSTANDS that she isnt your ONLY class. Still attend class! Only tests, no homework/quizzes.
This was a great Online History class. We were given reading and video lectures and then a short answer/essay we needed to complete about that Unit. I felt we were given plenty of time for each unit and clear communication. Definitely recommend.
By far one of my favorite professors I have had! There are 4 tests and a final but she will drop the lowest grade. She also gives out extra credit points if attendance is low; she will give everyone who showed up an extra 5 points on a test and will give out some test questions. You will need to read the summary at the end of each chapter.
Adams was the most lenient professor I have had. Her lectures were informative and engaging, and the exams were unbelievably easy. Despite the lack of difficulty, I learned a lot from her instruction.
This online course was super interesting and easy to take. There are only 4 "exams" which are all written short essays and the lecture, documents, and free online textbook make them easy to do.
Dr. Adams was never in contact with me for this course, only a TA. Only 4 assignments are ever graded and turned in. Pretty simple and you have around 3 weeks for each one. Easy can just be a little time consuming so I recommend working ahead.
