This is his inaugural lecture and it needs significant improvement. He is not engaging, he reads from slides and occasionally works out a problem and to top it off, he's a low-talker. This class is a bore. You will NEED TO READ to keep up with this class as there is little benefit from listening to his lectures. The work isn't too difficult.

Only take his class if you intend on teaching yourself physics. The lectures all suck as they are written in broken English, the book is way more helpful. If you don't understand something, all he will do is repeat what he already said that had you confused in the first place. Student involvement in the lectures is very limited.

He just does problems in front of the class and we all have no idea what he just did. He's sweet for the most part, kind of intimidating, but he responds to emails well. Learn the material from youtube or something if you take him. He also doesn't hand back exams, you have to go to his office hours for feedback.

Would be an okay teacher if you could understand him. Not only does he have an incredibly strong Russian accent but he mumbles everything he says. Listening to a lecture is like listening to straight gibberish. His questions are also written in broken English and are often hard to understand. Avoid at ALL COSTS

Genuinly the worst professor I have ever had. Only passed because of the ginormous curve he does because most of the class is failing. Impossible to understand him or read his handwriting. Worst experience ever.

Pro: point based class (431/615=C), weekly hw (no other work), review for exams/quiz are KEY to passing (no joke), 1 page sheet allowed on exams || Con: heavy accent+broken english, bad handwriting+vague slides, quiz 8 prob. 20min / exam 30 prob. 90min || Warning: Self-teaching is NEEDED! Curve ONLY if class below 79%. Textbook only for self-study

Only take this class if you're ready to study hard. The prof goes over review problems in class before the exam that are similar to the exam 1-3/final, but you MUST access outside resources in order to do well. He is hard to understand and very inconsiderate through emails, but trust me, you can do well if you are willing to commit to it.

Big K was a baadd lecturer and some hw questions is lwk insanely difficult but hw can be quizletted and his tests are much easier than hw. His exam reviews are clutch. the man cannot teach well but you can somewhat understand him eventually. You can do well in this class if you put effort into it. Formula sheet is nice and tests are basic material

Thank god that attendance isn't mandatory cause lectures are a pure waste of your precious time. He has quite an accent and you can barely hear from him outside a 5 feet radius of his microphone. Lecture slides are posted on Canvas but not until who knows how long after the lecture is already over, so take pics. Also has doctors handwriting. Run.

Actually could not understand a word this man was saying: keep in mind I was in the front row and basically directly in front of him. First lecture, first day, and he was already zooming by 2D and 3D vectors like they were a pre-rec. I've heard his tests are easy and its easy to get an A, but if you actually want to LEARN anything, don't take him.

WORST PROF EVER. Mumbles the entire lecture and cannot even understand one word. By the end of the semester you'll notice that only like five people ever show up to the lecture anymore. Tests are easier than gorak tho if you if u plan on actually learning. Use ur resources wisely and talk to others who've taken the class.

BEWARE AND GET READY TO FAIL. It's so bad that there is a 10 pt curve offered every semester because EVERYBODY FAILS. Resources suck too, and homework drags on (1 assignment a week). His is incomprehensible during lectures that everybody skips and only shows up for quizzes. Whoever says this class is easy is either a genius or a liar. Good luck....

I basically never went to class because he does explain decently well in lectures in my opinion but is just hard to understand. He puts the notes on canvas so I basically would just study that. A LOT of test and quiz questions literally come from the notes and the homework. He uses same tests every year, and offers to explain tests at office hrs.

I stopped showing up to class after the first test because I genuinely could not understand a single word the man said, even when he was standing right next to me. My grades got a lot better when I stopped coming to class because I actually had time to study the material on my own. The I personally didn't find the TAs helpful. A lot of self-study.

You cannot understand what he is trying to say and you cannot understand any of his hand writing. Every class is just going through a 10 year old power point and by the end of the semester only about 10% of students were showing up for lectures because it was easier to teach the subject to themselves at home.

he wants u to understand the material but he is horrible at lectures. He has an accent so it makes it hard to understand sometimes, and the powerpoint he uses isnt the best to follow along. to pass, i rec LOTS of self study. hw every week. 3 exams + final. best advice is self study im so serious. huge curve so i went from 67% to 73%. barely passed

Very hard; I couldn't understand him in class, so going was a waste of time, and I tried studying on my own. Tests were pretty hard and the average grade for everyone was pretty low. Would recommend taking a different professor for a better grade.
