Probably the best English instructor at the college. Dr. Zeng is personable, and makes class interesting. I miss his class.

Dr. Zeng is a great professor! He has excellent methods of teaching! Highly recommended!

Awesome teacher. Adds a lot of fun to the classroom. It's hard work but it's all worth it in the end.

Guangping is hardcore. He made my first semester at school extremely enjoyable. I like everything about his class.

Ok, I'm not sure this actually counted as a class cause he was the prof who went with us to Cambridge. So we had other people teaching but he graded our papers. But he's a great guy, he was always around to help, and he's fun to go to the pub with!

Great teacher. You can tell that he cares about his students. He's very upfront when it comes to the class assignments. Seems like a lot but he'll make you stay unstressed.

Like someone previously said, his class really helped me learn how to write more concisely. His grading methods are fair and he works to accomodate his students.

This is one of my favorite teachers at PJC. He was very fun, and pretty lenient. I took honors english with him both semesters, and got an A both times.

Guangping is a great teacher if you really are coming to learn. He is a hard grader but because of that you do learn to write and study better. He does have a great personality and his classes are usually fun. Just make sure you read the material assigned because his biggest pet peeve is a class not prepared. I'd highly recommend him!

"He's gonna karate chop me and kick me out of class!" This statement was uttered by a friend of mine as Zeng read our first essays. We soon learned that although he worked our butts off Zeng was a great teacher. He would spark a debate and watch as the class erupted. Beware, if you are lazy don't take this class but if you want to learn go for it!

I just want to say, anyone who doesn't like G. is just bitter about failing. Despite being Chinese, he is an excellent English teacher. It's too bad more people in our own coutnry don't know English as well as he does. Also, he's a fun teacher; and that's very important to me. So, this "China man" is one of the best English teachers I ever had.

i think doc zeng was a good teacher. i failed the class. but only because i was lazy. to all the pricks who have something against zing because he's chinese it's because he speaks better english than most americans. all in all trys to be fair, if he dosen't except somthing from you he wont it from anyone else.

Dr.Zeng is a competant teacher. Any one who is from a foreign country and takes such an interest in our English Language, my hat's off to them. He is clear with his expectations. His tests are easy multiple choice you have a 25% chance that each question correct. He always asks at beginning of class if you have questions. I recommend him not boring

i think all asians suck at english well its a stereotype but it goes for me. i made B's on my papers and C's on my test = a C for the class, which sucked but Dr.Zeng is an excellent teacher who talks w/great clarity and yes all your white ppl are hating on his awesome 'china-man' accent. it was just that im asian i suck at english.

Long after I'm out of college I'm gonna remember my Comp I professor. Dr. Zeng is excellent! His expectations are clear and he is very helpful if you're struggling. Don't you agree?

he is a good teacher when youre a good student..hes funnie in his own way. if you like english you'll like him.

Easy class, I barely used my book at all. He's very understanding and not very demanding when it comes to assignments. He grades easy. He will give you a long list of topics to choose from for essays, and his tests are multiple choice. I aced his final without studying. Easy class. Fun teacher. We learned a lot of Chinese and local politics.

Guanping is a nice guy. We learned alot of Chinese, that's for sure. Make sure that you read the requirements of his essay assignments carefully, and if you have questions, ask. He is VERY STRICT on deadlines so DO NOT miss class without letting him know or making pre-arrangements because he assigns in-class essays.

Guangping is an interesting and by-the-book professor. He focuses on clarity with writing. He's a superb English teacher, and I hope to see him teach lit.

Dr. Zeng is a really good teacher. He's not a harsh grader at all, I took Honors and his grading was very fair. He doesn't make you do in-class essays and sometimes add extra credit to the tests just because someone didn't understand a question. Very nice guy, I'd definitely recommend him!

very strict on essay grading, hard test and yes u will have in-class essay, prepare your self for lots of reading from the book, plus points u will learn lot of local politics and some chinese as well, attendence mendatory, must follow the guide lines for essay, u cant get second chance once u turn it in, i recommend some1 else over him!!!

He is definitely NOT a hard essay grader. I made straight A's on my papers without even trying too hard. I had him for English 1/2 Honors, and the only complaint I have is that he sometimes gets off-topic in his lectures.

I took Dr. Zeng's class during the summer term of 2009. He graded us fairly, was informative, and witty. I thought his course was interesting and would recommend Dr. Zeng to anyone needing this course.

pretty good teacher.. you have to read a lot for in class discussions because he will randomly call on you. essays are easy if you stay on topic. tests can be hard but he always gave us extra points. take his class!!!

Dr. Zeng is a great professor. He does have a strong Chinese/British accent and it's easy to get used to. He is very helpful if you go see him. Tests are easy if you study he does give bonus, he grades fairly on the essays. He let's you know about the research paper a couple months in advance. Great teacher.... Take him you will enjoy it.

Dr Zeng was a fantastic instructor! He has the best sense of humor and is very thorough in what he teaches. Respect him and he will respect you. He is one of my favorite instructors and I'm thankful to of had him for English Comp.

Dr. Zeng has been my favorite teacher of all time! He is an absolutely amazing instructor and know exactly what he is talking about. Before every class we read an about 4 page short story and we talk about it the rest of the class. It sounds boring but it really is not. He is always full of jokes. I HIGHLY recommend him!!

Best english teacher I've had. I had him for both 1101 and 1102. He explains everything and expects you to pay attention and follow directions. He is extremely helpful if you ask questions. He also has fun in class and is interesting. Very easy A if you pay attention to what he wants.

Dr Zeng is a very good teacher. English is my least favorite class but I earned a B..his accent is noticeable but doesnt affect learning. He doesnt like to use the textbook but you still will have couple of tests from material in it..the only book he uses is the LB handbook.grades hard on essay papers..but fair.class participation is important

Dr. Zeng is a great teacher. He is a firm believer of the Writing Lab so if you want pointers on how to work on your writing, go there. He never takes up homework and this class is generally easy if you're at college level (or at least upper high school) English.

Dr. Zeng is a great instructor. He can be very lax on the details of what to expect on tests, but if you have shown up to class and actually taken the time to read the chapters he assigns, you should have little to no trouble with the tests. Essays are very easy to complete. Taking again for Comp II.

Honestly I really enjoyed his class, as long as your class is respectful to him & you guys show some interest during the class discussion he will be v nice to your class. 3 essays for the entire semester & he let us pick from a list of 10 different topics each time. Also his accent isn't bad at all. My highschool honors class was harder than this 1

I enjoy going to his class, although I didnt learn much it was an easy class to pass, sometimes he can be a tough grader but you can always talk to him after class or go to the writing lab and get help. The only thing I didnt like is how he doesnt tell you your grade throughout the semester.

He's an excellent English professor who cares about his student's success. If you want to learn how to comprehend English then this is a class you want to take. Your writing skills will improve. You'll feel confident in your academic and professional writing. Dr. Zeng knows how to teach a class in multiple ways for each students learning style.

I loved Zeng! I took him for comp 1 and 2 but I enjoyed his class so much. He does grade papers pretty hard but hes so funny and super intelligent

Guangping is a funny man. The home work is always reading from the text book , with a class discussion the next day. He is a tough grader, but give you a chance. An AMAZING PROFESSOR!!

I love Mr Zeng. He is one of the best English teacher I've ever met.
