Do all the homework, the quizzes are based on it, Pretty much do the homework and you pass the class. I had to learn the hard way.

Cool guy, good teacher. Raised everyone's grade by 5% after the final. If you need pre-cal, and want an easy class, take Guillermo. The only downside to the class is that he said he'd make us pizza, but instead just gave us the recipe.

If you have to take Calc, you need this guy. Videos online to help you with about anything, way more office hours than he's required, funny in class, and can actually TEACH math so you understand. Tests usually graded the day of. You do have to do a lot of work, but you will come out understanding Calc.

At first I thought I will not do good in calculus because I only did precalc in High School but now I got an A in the class. Alvarez is probably the best teacher I have ever had, he tries really hard to make students succeed. The videos are extremely helpful. This class is not easy you have to do the HW and show up to lectures.

Amazing teacher, Guillermo puts in 10x more work than any other calc teacher. Online videos, TONS of office hours, grades posted within 6 hours of tests, VERY useful website, keeps you informed with e-mails, calls you by name (whole class!), enthusiastic in class, clear expectations,i could go on. In my math class, there were about 80 or so people in there, and only 5 or so that actually asked questions. Guillermo actually learned the names and faces of EVERY PERSON IN THE CLASS. guillermo is hands down the best teacher. he does videos, has office hours EVERY day, and responds to emails promptly. this guy is everything a teacher should be and more. there is tons of homework but it is definitely needed to understand the concepts. he's not a magician, you still need to put in a lot but his help is priceless.

I did not even have him as a professor. But since mine was useless I watched the videos he has on his website, and that is the only way I learned. My professor actually told our class to watch Guillermo's videos, rather than try to teach us.

Easy class. Makes math fun and easy even if you hate math. Attendance is mandatory though but you can miss a couple of class (1-3). Uses mathxl and has worksheets for each chapter but they're pretty easy and he gives you until the paper test to turn them in.

I had to retake GMS91 2nd semester & couldnt have fallen into a better class with a teacher who goes step by step! He's a lil dorky but fun. Uses different color pens which helps! You have to do MathXL & worksheets as homework, but well worth the practice to finally get you out of this class & into the real world!P.s. Lower class=immature people

Mr. G is the best teacher ever. i had him for both Gms 90 and 91 as a freshman in fall 08 and spring 09. I loved going to his class because it was fun, especially when we talked about food :)

For this easy math class make sure to devote time and energy to learn enough to earn credit. He's a sweet and great professor but the HW and quizzes online my math lab can be really time consuming and if you work better with book work(LESS work) then take another class. DO NOT take if 50 problems and a quiz per week sounds bad. Heavy online HW.

EXCELLENT Math teacher. Helped me pass the second time around taking GMS 91 after failing once. If I had $1000 dollars to thank him with, I would pay up. Made concepts easy to understand.

After taking GMS91 for the second time compared to the first teacher I had he's amazing. Very helpful, funny, and understanding. There's quite a bit of hw and the tests aren't to bad. Not to mention he doesn't make them so what is on the test is out of his hands. Out of all the GMS teachers take him!!!
