Extremely hard class, he gets thrilled by the fact that his class is so hard.
TOTALLY HARD CLASS!! tricky test questions and I agree w/the other person!
This professor is an awewome professor. I have had him for knes 260, 300 and am taking him for 461 right now. It is true that Dr. Noffal does make you learn your material. But, if trying to get into an allied health field program, you better take him.

He is not a very good teacher at all. You have to learn the material on your own. He is a hard ass!!! Never stays on subject! Do not take him.
Cool teacher, straight forward on material, fairly easy. Makes you learn your stuff, but presents it in an easy way. Great Teacher
he was good when I had him hes pretty hard but you learn alot of stuff, I got an A so...
Tough class, but you sure learn a lot. He has taught me some life lessons too. He is fair and really helpful. I would take him again!
learned a lot, cool dude, got an A but it wasn't easy
We did nothing but, play games every class for the whole sememster (which got boring). He paid attention only to the guys. There were several test, but you had to self learn them. He did nothing to help you improve your game.
his notes are on powerpoint and on blackboard, just print them out. he is a really nice guy loves to have fun, but his test are really hard. he really wants everyone to learn and understand. everyday he reviews of what we did at the last class meeting. which is helpful
He sucks! DO not take him. Baaaaad teacher! If you can even call him a teacher. He should be booted off the campus!Very, very, very disorganized!
learned a lot in this class and best of all it was never boring. the teacher gave a lot of good examples where we can use anatomy to understand how to work out on the gym and to better understand injury too. I'd take him again
Dr. Noffal clearly knows what he's talking about, but he doesn't let you in on it. You have to teach yourself. He's more interested in your learning Excel and Human comp programs than biomechanics. The only good thing about this class is that there is no final.
Uggh...dont waste your time. Too interested in trying to be cool. Thinks he is the extreme knowledge of everything.
waste of time.
Great guy but average on the teaching side; he has a tendency to get off subject leaving you on your own to figure out the material.
If you can't answer his question in a split nanosecond, he moves on & shuns you for not participating. HELLO!! I need to go thru a thought process...we ARE there to learn. Outside of class--helpful & friendly
If Noffal is still the only one for 300, then take his 260!!! All the Witchey 260 people were LOST in 300!!!

Material can be difficult but I had a good time in his classes. Just as long as you show up to class, you wont be left behind.
Dr. Noffal is a good professor. As long as you show up to his classes and arent afraid to ask him for help since the material gets pretty tough, you'll be fine. His projects really make you understand how to apply Biomechanics and Physics as related to ana

class was great if you would ask questions or ask for his help
Don't take 461 if you don't have too. The guy will lecture about 15 min. of a 3 hr. class, yet one is expected to do two projects throughtout the semester. I will tell you this much you will spend the first few weeks learning each others names. AND YOU WILL GET TESTED ON THEM... THE GUY KNOW HIS**** YET HE IS LAZY...
not as tuff as I thought it was going to be
Dr. Noffal went over the material in detail and always seemed to want to help those that were not doing so well. The project and what the softare we leraned can do are actually pretty cool.
He doesn't teach, you pretty much have to teach yourself the material! Have fun!
friendly but you have to teach yourself almost everything. his tests are very hard
Completely agree with comment below that you have to teach yourself. Literally will not learn test material until the class before. Grade is based on whether or not he lkes you. Heard Perrell was teaching the class next semester. TAKE HER!!!!
Fair and helpful but you do have to come to class and ask for help as soon as you need it. Don't get left behind as there is a LOT to learn.
I'm taking this professor now and he is the ultimate. He is the only person who has kept me awake in a 3 hour class. Tons of examples and he is funny. Learned a lot. Test are tough but fair, just do the work.
took class over summer - he lecture the whole time but good examples and fun class activities made the time go by fast
i'm one of those people who likes meeting other people and the class format kind of helps you with that. But for sure, if don't like that then take another professor because this one sort of tries to make sure you know other people just in case you need help from them at some point - like study parteners and group projects
Funny professor, his examples are very useful and funny at times. You must put in a lot of effort outside of class in order to well for exams. If you know your anatomy well or like anatomy, you will have an easy time. If your anatomy is weak, you will have a lot of work ahead of you.
He's alright. He kind of just reads the powerpoints most of the time, and explains stuff once in a while, but it's pretty straightforward, and he's nice if you ask questions. Just memorize the movement tables, and you're golden.
Dr. Noffal is a great professor. He really knows his stuff and really encourages students to study because the work is not a walk on the beach. You need to study to get ahead (just in case you still haven't notices!) Oh, and ladies, he is great eye candy!
good to remember your 300 material for this class. project and software are dope. Never thought i would need Excel until this class
Great professor!! He learns everyones names the first day. If you dont like being called on...this is not the class for you. He demands your attention, but not hard considering he keeps things fun and interesting. Tests are difficult, but if you come to class, read the text, and study before each exam you will do great!!
This class was pretty easy. He gives you a study guide so as long as you study you will be fine. He is available outside of class, even if you cant make his office hours its easy to make an appointment with him to get help. He is very helpful. He is willing to help you with whatever you may need help with, even if it is for another class
Very enjoyable professor. He makes learning fun and makes an effort to help you understand through creative methods and activities. Very friendly, helpful, and easy to talk to. Do not hesitate to take his class.
Tends to get sidetracked during lecture. I just wish he lectured on the material that the book covered and anatomy rather than personal stories. He is a very funny and charming professor though, I have to admit. He makes learning pretty fun. Just be prepared for getting a little sidetracked during lecture. MULTIPLE CHOICE TESTS
Very cool dude!He is helpful and gives lots of examples. The stories he tells actually helped me remember the material. There is a lot to learn but he makes it interesting and gives lots of help.
If you don't like to be called on, this is not the class for you. A huge chunk of your grade is exams and there are only 3. STUDY EARLY AND STUDY WITH A GROUP. he emphasizes getting to know each other and will quiz you on peoples names. if you are shy, this is not the class for you either. Material is difficult, so make sure to pay attention!!
Professor Noffal is a great professor. NOT AN EASY A! you need to read and attend lectures. 3 tests 30% of grade each. 10% participation. Not a cumulative final but you must know everything from day one to the end. Get to know everyone and be prepared to be called on. I took this at 830am and LOVED THE CLASS!
LoL his class is ONLY fun when you are passing like me. You basically teach yourself the material since he is too busy lecturing about his fake injuries. Yes his stories are mostly fake I can't believe how many people actually believe his stories. Hard class and I do not recommend him. You will teach yourself the material I promise you that.
Awesome professor. Super hard class, but he made it fun. Must study, must put in a lot of work. But good class! I'd definitely recommend him.
Had for KNES 360 on campus and 361 online. Be prepared to put in more work than normal. Pretty hard and tests a little confusing. Will help if you ask but you need to make sure to go to office hours.
DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS ONLINE! it was probably the hardest class i have ever taken. Tests are taken in class rather than online. You basically teach yourself but he really does help if you go to office hours. The tests are very hard with about 5-6 written questions coming straight from the book rather than the power points he posts.
Professor Noffal is willing to help you if you ask for it. He encourages class participation and has a great teaching style. He is very personable and definitely cares about all of his students.
great teacher go to class pay attention its a lot of information but he makes it as easy as possible
Took him during winter break (3 week course, 4 hours a day). Had clear cut lectures, and activities to help you understand the material. Tests were not too difficult if you understood what was going on. Always a MC and written portion of the tests. Great professor and nice guy in general, also keeps the class light-hearted and funny.
Ok, here's the thing... He's an amazing guy and an amazing professor, but he's not my style. I love the jokes and how personal is, but for me I need a little more structure. Anatomy is not my strong suit and I worked very hard my B. He was really nice and responsive when I came to his office hours and I feel like that's what helped get me my grade.
Hands down my favorite professor I have ever had in college. He truly cares about all of his students and makes the class fun and interactive. Be prepared before you go to each lecture; he makes every student participate. 3 MC exams (including the final) & two group projects. TAKE HIM!
Loved him!!! Great professor who is passionate about his work and always has great entertaining stories. It is not an easy class. You need to show up and study! I typically don't like when teachers choose me to answer questions but it really wasn't bad at all in this class. I always enjoyed going to his class. I wish I could take him again!
Not a fan. It is possible to be successful in this class but you have to really work for it. His tests are all over the place, along with his lectures. I studied a lot but barely managed to pull off a B.
get ready to teach yourself! does not post grades all semester. speeds through powerpoints and when he does stop he reads off the powerpoint slides
He could be more helpful if he went over problems with you before quizzes and gave you a reasonable amount of time to study. Just needs to provide overall more specific worksheets and problems catered to what you will see on the exam. Not everything is so straightforward.
He is always available to help, as long as he sees effort being put in. For the most part, he lets you know what he expects you to know for the exams. This class has a lot to do with memorization and applying the material in specific scenarios, as well as some context knowledge. He gives helpful methods for the memorization part of the class.
A challenging class, but Noffal makes it worthwhile. He is funny, has great stories, and creates a casual environment in class. You need to study outside of class if you want to pass, and if you just skim over the textbook prior to class, you will get an even better grade. Tests are straight forward and cover EXACTLY what was taught in class. Solid
BY far the worst professor I've had in all my years of college. If you have anxiety please avoid him at all costs. He never updated grades to titanium the entire semester, he calls on you and punishes for wrong answers, his lectures are completely out of order and I cringed at how much lies he told in his stories to try to look Kool.
Good professor
Really dont take him if you have anxiety and dont understand Physics. Hell call on you in the middle of class expecting an answer. He calls on whoever he wants. Hes sassy and lowkey gets amused if you dish it back to him but then that will make u a target. His online hw is easy, 2 hard exams, an annoying project, and 1 final hes bearable tbh
I had Noffal during the summer. The online textbook is mandatory as there are reading assignments (easy points). Come to the lectures PREPARED because he WILL ask questions about the chapter and more. Do the reading, intro questions, sample questions, and additional questions for each chapter and you should be well prepared for the tests.
He is knowledgable about Biomechanics but is not amazing explaining the material. He'll explain something in a lecture that you won't see in the exam. Read the book and practice the problems, he is not very helpful. In general, study, study, study, study.
Dr. Noffal is extremely unorganized for an online course. Will email you at 9pm to complete an assignment at 2pm the next day. Will hold zoom review meetings on days we do not meet last minute, so I had to miss opportunities given to other students because I work. I asked him to accommodate to my conflicting work schedule. He said no.
If you have any other options to take any other professor other than him, do it. He is by far the WORST professor! He loves to pick on people, especially when he sees you struggling. His homework assignments were doable but then again what you read is only about 5% of the exams. He is really unorganized. He assigns things last minute.
Took him online due to COVID. He makes students turn on their cameras & makes everyone participate via Zoom. Sometimes punishes for wrong answers. I strongly suggest to make a friend to study with! Challenging class, so don't fall behind. 3 MC exams & 2 group projects. 1st exam is the easiest, gets challenging after. Avoid him if you have anxiety..
Not always the best at explaining and the class is kinda difficult. A lot of memorization and he will call on you to participate. All exams were proctored and puts trick questions. Avoid him if you can.
This class has it all; lectures that leave you wondering why you attended since the 75 minutes weren't used effectively, being randomly called on then getting chastised for not unmuting your zoom microphone in 0.7 seconds, and plenty of exam questions that weren't covered in class or were said to be excluded from tests. It's a fun time.
Took him for winter. He was a cool and funny guy. Deserves more credit. You do have to teach yourself and practice the math problems. A lot of math but that is what biomechanics focuses on.
LOTS OF WORK. You have to love this subject to have the willpower to study this much. Expect to be called on every class, but it gets easier after a while and is very beneficial in keeping you engaged. This class is basically just memorization so if you study a lot, the exams are easy. Great professor, really shows he cares about the students.
Professor Noffal is a super nice guy with a lot of funny stories. He teaches based on the textbook and grades on 3 curved exams, 2 group assignments, and participation. He calls on students a lot and expects everyone to participate which is a bit intimidating at first but in the end it helps you learn. Its lots material so prepare to study a lot!
The workload was appropriate for an online class. 3 week course. Each week contained 3 readings (ez), 3 quizzes, 1 exam, 1 group video project. Weekends are off. I would 100% recommed this class as a lazy person because you can knockout the workload pretty quickly and still pass.
Class is composed of weekly quizzes, reading assignments, 3 group video projects, and 3 exams. He drops two of your lowest quizzes and curves the tests. The math problems on the exams are way harder than the practice problems in the lecture and homework. Make sure to brush up on your trigonometry! Exams and quizzes are also proctored.
I really like this professor for KNES360 but for 361 it's a little harder. Lectures are fun but don't cover what's on the exams. Highly recommend for 360 but may as well take 361 with him online since class lectures didn't help too much.
As someone who has read the text and managed to write 15 pages of notes to study before the exam, I still managed to get an F. Some questions could be found on quizlet but it isn't enough to save you. There is no make up work nor extra credit and he watches for cheating excessively.
you have to buy the textbook for his online class because there are homework assignments that can only be done through the textbook. dont wait until the last minute to buy it either because it is pricey. 3 exams. 3 group video assignments must be done on zoom. very very strict on cheating, he will call you out on it.
Although he drifts off topic often, I found Dr. Noffal's lectures to be very interesting and interactive. However, his class for KNES 360 was one of the hardest I've ever taken as it required memorization of so many muscles, joints, and ligaments. There were 3 exams and 2 group projects. The 1st exam is easy, but it only gets harder from there.
Noffal is okay at best. Although this was an online class, he gave up on trying to communicate with us half way into the semester. grading criteria is not clear, never responded when I asked him why he took off point in a group video. You HAVE to buy a textbook online to do the required assignments, overall did not meet my standards of a good person
Honestly, I'm bummed. He sends you odd messages for clicking off your screen when in a quiz or exam. Like I'm sorry? I was checking my blood sugar levels and have to document them? I will not be taking this professor again.
Do not take this professor.
If you can take a class with any other professor do it. Does not teach well and for his video assignments he lowers your grade for not having good enough lighting or wearing a hat. We are a third of the way through the semester and he is now informing about using proctorio and this was not stated in the syllabus that you need a webcam.
He is very involved and sends out weekly annoucements. However, his lecture videos do not help, the quizzes/exams are hard for no reason, the online homework (which you have to pay for) are pointless but easy points. His grading is terrible, got a 90% on my intro video for what reason? Pretty sure he just does not like giving people 100%.
If a negative numeral review was possible I'd give this guy that. I love math, but this man truly doesn't do enough to ensure his students succeed. GET READY TO TEACH YOURSELF!!! His lectures/examples DO NOT prepare you for the quizzes/exams. It sucks having professors who want to make things harder than they have to be. Bottom line, don't take him
You will literally have to teach yourself everything. His lectures/notes do NOT, I repeat DO NOT prepare you for the quizzes or exams. This guy does NOT test you on what he teaches you; these types of professors are the WORST. He's also very condescending and doesn't have his students best interest in mind.
His lectures did not help me at all with the quizzes and exams, not even the homework. There are also group projects that he makes you do with your classmates where you all have to record yourselves speaking. We also had to download a browser called Lockdown Browser which prevents you from exiting quizzes and exams. Please take someone else.
He is actually a caring prof if you go to his office hours. The current reviews for him may be daunting, but as someone who is not strong in this subject I passed with a B+ because I went to his office hours. His homework is on the exams, just different numbers are used. You need to pay attention and do the work, and you'll be fine. You have to try
He gets off on humiliating his students, making them stand in front of the class, throwing a tennis ball at them to make sure they are paying attention, he'll ask you over and over if you know the names of every single person in your class and chastise you if you don't. Easy to pass but this professor made me dread coming to class every day.
Do not take this professor. His exams and quizzes don't even follow his own study guides. His lectures are just reading off slides with no expansion or effort. You basically have to teach yourself. Save yourself the stress and take any other professor.
