A great professor who cares about his students!

Gus is more than fair on grading and is always willing to work with you. I highly recommend him!

Gus was without a doubt the best professor I've had at EWU. He cares so genuinely about his students and his career. I highly recommend him for any class. No textbook and not too many assignments either.

I have never rated a professor, but feel the need to right now. Gus is the best professor I have had in my entire life. He is very encouraging, passionate, and truly cares about the well-being of his students. He understands that everyones schedule is different and is very flexible with due dates. Wish I could have taken every class with Gus.

I loved his class. I learned so much from him. It is not a sit and lecture sort of class but did a lot of projects. I would love to take another class with him.

I have had Gus for a couple classes and he is always so caring and helpful. Very accessible outside of class. One thing that I do love is how he talks about how we grow and learn from experience and implements that into his class by giving you the opportunity to always resubmit work.

Gus is one of those professors who understand that we are adults with an outside life that may affect your participation but when you communicate to him he finds a middle to the solution that works for every student. He also makes sure to say hello to every student. He cares about education and it shows in the classroom and online.

This was by far one of the most beneficial classes, and it definitely has to do with how much effort and time Gus provides. Gus Nollmeyer is an amazing professor who practices what he preaches. Throughout his courses he models every strategy and method that he is teaching. Gus is super supportive when it comes to assignments and although some of the assignments are challenging (because they are large concepts to grasp) he helps and gives resources as much as he can.

Gus is always open to helping you, even if it's late at night or on the weekends, he will respond within minutes for clarification. His canvas sheet is easy to follow and all of his directions are very clear, with many links attached.

Fun in-class work. Yes, lots of group projects but most of the time you get to pick your partners. You'll get a good grade as long as you go to class and participate. Gus always has a good attitude and is excited to teach. Overall great class.

We get to do so many fun projects and see the strategies we are learning to use which is helpful to be able to transfer what we read about to our classroom. He is a funny guy and friendly. It can be hard work, but it is such a good class.

Gus was an excellent professor and he made one of my least favorite subjects a BLAST. We did all sorts of cool projects (no spoilers here!) and he taught us how to integrate these truly memorable academic projects into our own teaching. He gives good feedback, is understanding, and truly cares for every student and wants them to be successful.

He gives great feedback and is flexible with late work as long as you talk with him. Gus is so caring and helpful, I had some issues that set me back in my program and he was there to just be a listening ear. He's my favorite!

Gus is one of my favorite professors. I wish I had him as an elementary teacher growing up. You can tell how passionate he is about teaching and cares about our own success. He gave us so many great tools to use in our own classroom. You will learn a lot of important things in his class that we can actually apply.

This class was one of my favorites that I have taken. I would 10/10 take EDUC 340 with Gus again. Gus knew how to keep his student's engaged. The work load was decent, it provided an excellent source of gained knowledge, and helped me tremendously think about how I want to teach language arts and social studies as a future teacher.
