VERY DIFFICULT FOR SOMEONE IN MATH 98! I have heard higher level Math students talk about how great he is but he went way too fast for my class. We were all lost and many failed (including myself)!
He is very easy going, if you don't pass his class then your not trying. He gives take home quizzes with an answer key!
Maybe he has changed. I took him almost two years ago and was in the class where almost everyone failed (D is failing in learning support classes). We had pop quizzes and there was no such thing as a take home quiz! Maybe he has changed but we hated him.
I took him for pre-cal and i liked his style. Wasn't easy, but I learned the stuff. He was always available for help which is great. He gave us take home test reviews (which counted for a quiz & helps for the test and has answer key). Overall good teacher
To me he was the best, I took a crash class wich is like 4 weeks and I tell you what I learned in for weeks what I did not learn in 12 years of high school. THE BEST!!!
I took his class last semester and it was really good. Well, he assigned a lot of homework, but that and review sheets were helpful :D I wish he'd teach calculus too :(
Recommend Him to anyone who has interest in math and wants to learn it the hard way; he gives lots of homework, sometimes it is hard to follow him,..but he always stops to go back if you ask him. He had great attitude!!..I loved Him!!
I think that this professor is not into helping his students. When asked to work a problem, it's like he works the problem to himself.
Sabree is ok but he can move too fast sometimes, but if you study and work with him it's not hard to pass at all.
I guess it's because I took him during the summer. Believe me I regreted my whole summer!!! Take him and you will regret you did take my word for it homie.
he is not a good teacher. his method was good, he gave quizzes and great review sheets, he offerred help, however, in class he was very difficult to follow. he went too fast and when he did go over problems he did them in less than a minute-
One time, he didn't go over something in class and he didn't put it on the homework. Then he tested us on it! Many people failed that part of the test and he acted like it was our own fault for being stupid.
He dosent really explain what he is doing. Gives to many pop quiz and by midpoint the entire class has dropped. Only 6 kids were left in my class before I dropped. He is a good teacher if u r a genuis in math and since I needed him to break it down i had
i don't know what this people complain about. he is easy. he gives you so much help that if you don't pass his class is because you just didn't want to. he has review sheets, you can dropp quizzes you can make up quizes. he is great!
he is the Best!! he is very simple . he doesnt speak alot in the class however he gives you everything you need to know on the test like the review sheet - is the same thing on the test. (to me its like a pretest) also he drops the lowest quiz grades ... overall he is easy! take him if you want an A

Guys - it's suppose to be a little work! Math isn't easy for all of us! Mr. Sabree is a great teacher and very helpful - just ask if you need help. You MUST do your homework or you will not succeed.

I really do not recommend taking this class. By the middle of the semester over half the class was gone due to their bad grades. He teaches okay and you think you will do good on the test, but his tests are nothing like the reviews he gives you. Do not take this class.
This teacher is probably the worst teacher i have ever had in my entire life.He has no patience and believe me i've seen him finished 3 chapters in one class and no one understood him.I would not recommend him to anyone.Besides, he has a terrible breath and that will make you runaway from him.I don't like his style.
He is a great teacher, all you have to do is do your homework,and study the study guide before the test. If you dont do your homework, you will be in trouble. If you wanna get an easy A, you must do your homework.
I wanted an A - so guess what? I did my homework and I practiced, practiced and practiced before tests. I'm not a math genius, but I worked hard and EARNED my grade. You can too! Sabree will help you - but why would he or anyone else want to "help" someone who doesn't make an effort.
Worst teacher ever.. doesn't teach, just works problems out on the board. Tests are hard as hell and most of the time he talks to quiet you can't even understand what he is saying. Gives a quiz pretty much every class period.. and these aren't just like 2-3 ? quizzes.. they are like 20 ?'s. DONT TAKE HIM!
i came out with a B in his class but i have to study and teach myself.He was not helpful at all. Don't get me wrong, he's a nice guy and does not give a damn if you don't attend his class.One thing you should do is to ever never come close to him because his terrible breath will give you lung cancer.
Very nice guy but horrible teacher. He never explains anything, doesn't care if the class is with him or not, goes way too fast and his tests might as well be written in Japanese. (His tests would take my class at least 2 and a half hours to complete) He's sort of in his own world when he's scribbling numbers on the board. DONT TAKE!

this class was suppost to be in help for my chem.one, guess what, I passed the chem. with a great grade, but the math...He is not the best teacher, doesn't explain the things at all. My average was over 75 before the final, my final grade is D-what else do you want me to say...
DO NOT take this teacher if you plan on learning. I excel in math, had an 800 on the math portion of the SATs, but yet I got a C in this class?? This guy doesn't know how to teach. Or make tests, for that matter. He gave out a review for the final, which turned out to not even have the same concepts on it! He seems like he hates his job. STAY AWAY!

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. Even though I got an A, it was ridiculously hard. What he puts on the quizzes and test in NO WAY even remotely resembles any of the homework, or what he teaches in class. He puts the worng answers on review sheets sometimes and I wasted a lot of time trying to figure it out, only to realize that he screwed up. STAY AWAY.

I loved Mr. Sabree, Hes very cool and laid back, straightforward with what he teaches. He happily answers any questions at all, clearly explains each section & any HW problems you ask. Gives study guides for all tests, and his curriculum is organized. just do homework, ask questions and it will be painless.
If you're not in friggin' Mensa or something, don't even bother with this guy. I thought taking his full semester class would be easier than the mini-mesters, WRONG! It was practically a mini-mester. His tests were hard, hard, hard and doesn't really help you. If you ask for help, he'll leave you the same as before you asked... really confused.
he is the worst teacher ever. his tests do NOT anyway resemble the homework or the reviews. i was an A student in math 097 and 098. some of my other classmates were also A students but were making D's on all of the tests.

Mr.Sabree was great! I understood everything he was explaining after the first time! Maybe, some students need to understand that every teacher isn't going to make you understand. Understanding takes somewhat of an effort on the students part as well!

His tests and quizzes were a bit hard, but he drops lowest quiz grades and test grade and lets your multiple choice final replace your lowest test grade. He also gives crazy extra credit chances on tests even though they are from the next lesson. I missed class a lot and did horrible on half the quizzes and tests and made an A easily.
His explanations are too fast and he skips steps. I had the higer score in 0097, but now I am missing a lot of explanation. There is true that it is important to have a good instroctor that cares about his students. Mr. Sabree is nice person and does not care about absents but his explanations are very confusings. Tests and quizzes are too long!
Very hard and very fast moving class usually a quiz every week thats as hard as a test...he was not good at explaining and thought people already knew what he is teaching i had to drop the class along with 85% of the other people in the class

This guy blows. He doesn't teach concepts, instead he does examples on the board without explanation. If you are already good at precal you will pass, otherwise stay the h-e-l-l away from this goofy, shy, duffass....
I went from a 4.0 to making a D in this section... how did that happen? This prof is the worst I have ever had. No exaggeration. Stay away at all costs. His review sheet for the final was unbelievably misleading. I swear to God I wanted to come up side his head when I saw the real final.

he was horrible. no one in my class learned anything. when he went over notes he just wrote stuff on the board and made sure HE understood but didnt care if anyone else did.. which was really frustrating. he doesnt care about the students interest. and he doesnt care how well you do in the class, he makes everything boring and miserable.
VERY HARD and he does not explain himself at all. 2 hr class usually lasted 35 min, he rushed lessons. went to his office hrs and he was never there. review sheets are nothing like the tests. Very hard test and the problems are nothing you have seen before. Our class started with 27 people and on final day, there were 3 of us left.
Nice guy. Laughs at his own jokes all the time. He is not hard, but he also isn't easy. I passed the class.

He's just a typical college professor. It's your job to earn the grade at college not expect instructors to hand out grades for just participating. He does not give any make-up works or seems to care about students at all but always ready to explain questions that's asked.
Not a good teacher he expects for you to remember all from math 0097 so you can get thru math 0098 you should know most of it (let him tell it) and he is just "brushing" over it on the board (very fast) and you get a review sheet to study some questions are not on the test and then you feel even worse no extra credit. MUST SHOW ALL WORK!!!

If Math is a weakness for you, I advise you not to take this class. Mr. Sabree is nice, and laid back, however half of my class dropped and everyone is failing! He goes through the material very fast and is hard to follow.

Does not help students very well. Goes over problems quickly with little explanation. Tests are very difficult. Average in my class was around a 50% for total grades and half the class ended up dropping. Nice guy but he cant teach properly.
This guy is hard. half of the class withdrew in the middle of semester. I would have too if I have known. Don't take him if you want to pass. Half of the people that stayed in his class failed.
There is homework every night but it is not mandatory. Mr. Sabree teaches his own methods which are generally easier than the book's. Do the homework if you want to know what is going on in the class. Very willing to help, nice guy as well. Gives partial credit for trying. First test is the hardest. I don't know what all these other people mean.
I don't understand all the bad reviews. I think Mr. Sabree is a great techer, he's patient, listens, and is very helpful. No teacher cares if you pass because that's on you, if you want to pass then do the work and try.

This is a NO BS class. Don't expect to be handed a grade. Nice guy. HW not required, but if you don't do it, you'll fail. Patiently answers questions, wish I asked more. I didn't do HW for the first 2 months thinking it would be easy. I was failing all the way up until the final, luckily I pulled a C. Study hard, and the grade will fall into place
He teaches very quickly. Do the homework(which he didn't grade) but it should help. If you have been out of school for awhile or are not good in math I suggest take another teacher or get a tutor.
He is a great teacher.Questions asked will be answered one by one with high perspectives,but he always goes fast if you don't stop him at some points.A study guide is given before the test day.Attendance is not mandatory.No make-up work is allowed.Final grade will replace your lowest test grade .10 best quizzes will be chosen among 15-20. Writes fast on board. Quiz's and Test are completely different. HW not required but in order to pass the class you should complete it. A nice guy

Does not grade homework, but you do have to teach yourself. Don't count on his bonus questions to help your grade. I was never able to figure out one. I still made an A and the final was not cumulative. If you hate icollege and my mathlab, take his course. I wanted to take precal with him but i did not see a course listing. Good teach, p
I took math1111 with him and he was very helpful! Math isn't my forte but he really cares and wants you to understand the material. HW assigned on syllabus is very important eventhough he doesn't check it. Quiz every week or so and 5 tests in total. He gives worksheets to help you and counts them as quiz grades.Good teacher but you need to try hard

He is a horrible teacher. If you want to fail his class then go ahead and take it but if you want a chance at passing math find another professor. He moves extremely fast and when asked to go over a problem again he does just that, but doesn't break it downn for you to understand. What he teaches in class is NEVER on any of the test.
if your taking a lower level math class he is perfect but you have to take a mon/wed or tues/thurs to obtain all the information. homework was never over 30 problems, quizzes easy and tests are actually on the right material. he follows the book, gives you the entire semester to finish all assignments. Very Good.
Mr. Sabree is a nice teacher but the course is new to him and he doesnt quite know how to teach. But ask him to do any question and he'll do it on the board (whether u actually did the question or not) he is nice but a really awkward turtle. he made me feel unconfortable at times. . . good luck. . .

Worst professor i have EVER had. i am an A student. I took CALCULUS in high school and this class was absolutely ridiculous. Study guides are terrible and material covered in class DOES NOT match the test whatsoever. He just tries to play it off like we are dumb and that we should already know what we're doing. if you want to pass, DO NOT take him.
He's a really nice guy that makes an honest attempt to help his students. Having taken previous higher level math courses, his attendance policy is great because it allows me to skip lectures that I don't need to hear. But if you need help, he is always there to try his best to let you do his best. The course can be challenging though.
Nice and genuine guy, but I often found myself staring at the tests in confusion as they had hardly any relation to the quizzes. He's one of those professors that makes it look simple in class, but then throws you a complete curveball in tests. I'm probably going to fail because of this.
He is a really nice guy, but that doesn't takes out the fact that he teaches very bad. He makes everything so confusing starting with the fact that he goes REALLY fast, and he does never break-down a topic and explain it step-by-step, but he just make exercises and thats it.
Nice guy and he's decently helpful. He gave us take home quizzes and test reviews that helped a lot, and he even let us stay a little later to work on tests. However, the tests are VERY difficult overall. I barely passed, but make sure and do all the homework and don't miss a single class and you should do okay at best.

He is simply one of the best math professors in GPC. I don't quite understand why some people wrote negative comments about him. He is smart, would understand what you are struggling with, and provide you a clear explanations. A lot of extra credits. So simply the BEST
This professor is super smart - period. Although he might sometimes sound arrogant, he is a nice person and willing to help his students all the time. I really enjoyed taking College Algebra with him. Take him! Guaranteed A if you keep up with your study.
He knows the subject well. He really did try to be a good teacher but he did not know how to help the class. He urged us to ask questions and we barely asked anything, so it isn't entirely his fault. All you have is the textbook and his lectures. No tutorial hours. You are on your own if you don't understand. Don't take if you're bad at math.
If you like to learn things on your own and you enjoy being confused when you go to class, take this class. I highly regret taking him. He just doesn't make sense and I really am not sure if he knows what he's doing. The class was always correcting him on his lectures, and he would laugh about it. He is a great guy in general but i can not learn with his style of teaching.
On the first day of class he said there was a low passing rate for the course, WHICH NO STUDENT WANTS TO HEAR FROM THEIR PROFESSOR. Very low talker and a difficult explainer,but he is very open to answering any of your questions. If you struggle in math please avoid this class because you will most likely fail. He doesn't count homework as a grade
He was awful he didn't care at all if you failed his class.
This is horrible if you aren't a math wiz. He is bad at explaining things, and doesn't care if you fail. We only have tests and quizzes graded and there aren't very many of them so everyone has a low average. More than half of the class ended up dropping the course. Won't help at all if you go to his office. I do not recommend this course. -alex
Mr. Sabree is really nice but his class was very difficult. If you are not naturally good at math, you will have to spend A LOT of time studying and getting extra help. The class moved very fast, and a lot of people were talking about how they were failing; I don't know how many actually did. You have to put in a lot of extra work.

Well he is nice but, the way he teaches is just uhhh excuse me? And trust me I was a good at math in high school. But now this class let me down..
If you're not the best at math or need to be taught instead of just told this is not the class for you. Lectures for topics were usually 1 class and then a quiz the next class with a worksheet and online work as homework. Personally, this isn't an effective way to learn, just memorize.

I dont write reviews but I had to for him. He is a great person BUT when it comes to teaching... BIG NO NO. I took his class and by the mid term I had a 55% 3/4 dropped the class to save their GPA, keep in mind that I AM A STRAIGHT A STUDENT. I did everything. Study guide? useless bc the test is NOTHING like it. save ur selfs! ANY1 except HIM!
