great prof. great perspective on world religions. is interested in student feedback. go to all the classes, read the required text, do the assignments-- and receive good grade. You do go to study! This was a very good class for me.

Extremely knowledgable. Just do not do something stupid because she does not think highly of those who act like four year olds. Shows a lot of videos. She also lets you know what to study for which makes the tests very easy. Interesting class.

She is really nice. just show up on time every class.she gives the same midterm everytime so get it from somebody and you will be fine.

She is a good teacher who knows a lot and I learnt a lot. Class attendance and participation is important. She gives assignments that made me think-and work! She gives opportunities for extra credit. I ended with an A- from a B- average in my mid-term and final!

She is a very good scholar. I am glad that she is concerned about class participation. Students who do not like to attend classes should find another teacher who does not care. She is always punctual.Sometimes students of the previous class do not leave the room on time and stay behind delaying her.

Class is humanities oriented... if you like to know interesting stuff about different cultures.. this is for you.

It is introduction to Islam -- hence the five pillars! Advance level students with more than basic information want to take this class for an easy grade then bad-mouth the professor when they discover they have to work for the grade! Yes, you do work but then you also learn and enjoy the class that is geared towards providing introductory info.

Is this a smear campaign? This professor is among the better ones at St. John's unversity. If learning Judaism you come across Hebrew words, for Hinduism it is Sanskrit, for Islam it is normal for some Arabic words. What a poor excuse to remain ignorant about Islam? I have taken two classes with her and wish there were some more to join! Take class

Dr. Rahim is a good professor with academic learning. Her lectures are informative and scholarly. No, there are no "rants" all this is made-up by those who have an adgenda against her solid academic presentation of Islam-- I am so very glad I took her class-- best decision I made.

Best course I have taken. Very informative. I was recently in Europe and used prof's ideas in sessions. I had to send her a letter of appreciation for what I had learnt from her. Take this course. Best choice you could make.

yes, it seems you are right, it is you! I am not her and I enjoy her classes. This is the second course I am taking with her. If you are a Pharmacy stdents you must have hard time because it is certainly way more non-English vocabulary that we have to learn than just five or six words a week!

A sure A if youare prepared to work for it! There is effort needed but does not all that much that it leaves no time for other things. Reasonable effort!

I have met many muslims since i took the course. It is good since i'm able to underastand the culture and why the things are done by them the way they are. There is distortion in the media. The course is helping me alot, including the vocab part that i was complaining so much about. Believe me, i found out how useful the vocab part is.

I really appreciated the professor helping me, i was running out of time because of two jobs, a four year old son and all the rest. She made it possible for me to complete the course. I ended up with B+, without her help, I would have certainly failed as this religion was new for me. Do not get me wrong, she did make me earn it.

This teacher has no clue what she doing. She showed up to class 25 mins late on the first day and had to call IT twice to just get the board and microphone on. This layed out what exactly this class was gonna be for the semester and it was a JOKE. Easy A but you have to show up and participate in her discussions. Your only grades are 6 papers.
