He can be hard to understand because of his accent.
Has a tendency to drone, but seems to know what he's talking about at least.
Great teacher. I can't even tell you how helpful he is!
Gives overly difficult tests!! His lectures are also hard to follow along with!! I'd have arrows pointing different directions in my notes!!
A lot of people found him boring since he tends to drone on a lot, but I liked him. His tests are pretty easy, and he gives many extra credit assignments. His accent isn't hard to understand. Oh, he also dislikes tardies and people who leave early. He's a good, nice professor.
very knowledgable....tests are multiple choice and are exact questions from review...only 3 test grades, one paper, and a final....
Easy course. The reviews are just like the exams, so study them really good!
Loved the course. We had tons of discussion in class. His tests aren't too difficult. *Hint* pay attention to current events.
The tests are real easy. As long as you study the review, you should at least get a "B" on the tests

Really boring lectures, but really easy tests. Do the review, and you have the answers to the test. That easy. My advice: Skip the classes, but make sure to get the review and attend the class right after you get the review to get the answers for it. If you go to class, be ready to sleep!
Prof Madani is good at lecturing, but they're a bit dry, or maybe it was the 7am class time. He gives great test reviews, and as long as you do those you should be able to pass the course. Not a lot of classroom discussion for us, but like I said, 7am classes do that.
Dr. Madani is a Govt. freak. He knows every little bitty detail about the US Govt like how it's organized and also he's really keen in everyday issues. He gives around 4 to 5 extra credits per exam and he got 3 exams thru out the semester. He gives review for each exam and if you nail down the review, you can easily make an A.I made an A as well
Professor Madani is a AWESOME Teacher!!! I can't stress how IMPORTANT it is to STUDY HIS TEST REVIEWS!!!!!! The test will be a breeze if you just do this!!! He gives plenty of fun extra credit assignments. Do a couple of them. I promise you'll enjoy them.

He was really nice and sometimes not easy to understand, but if you go to his class it starts to sound normal. All you have to do is just make sure you come to class, take notes if you want to, but most importantly.. make sure you do the reviews because they are the ones on the test!!! The tests are just like the reviews!!!
Ithought it would be easy, but instead it was hell
He is mostly a very nice man but don't catch the wrong side of him, he will let you have it - deserved or not. Watch out taking him on a minimester. We did not have review sheets or multiple choice. Our exams were all essay.
I couldn't understand him most of the time & it's hard to understand where he ends one thought and starts another. If you study his reviews, you'll pass his test easily. Gives a few chances for extra credit so be sure to take them.
come to class, take notes, pay attention and ask questions during the review, and an A is guaranteed
I really enjoyed his class, it's amazing how he remembers so much!He does give reviews for test and he also gives many extra credit opportunities. He does everything in his power to help you better understand the information. His accent is NOT hard at all to understand.
He was a pretty good teacher. Take lots of notes and try not to miss any class. He also doesn't like it when you are late even a few minutes. I would take a class with him again
He was awsome! He always gives review questions and is very helpful. If you work hard you are sure to pass. Caution; be sure to keep up with current events!
Some Americans think they do not understand what he says because he's from Afghanistan. I am Italian and I understood every single word he said, which makes me doubt about the Americans' opinion. He explains each point of his lecture clearly. The only my concern was the current event quiz for which you are supposed to know everything that happens.
I never bought the book and the teacher hated it too. Grades are quizzes and test. The test review which he gives you the answers to IS the test just memorize and you are good to go! The tests are multiple choice and True/False. He is a cool guy and I would recommend taking him its easy and you'll learn a lot too. His accent did not bother me.
This guy is pretty nice. His class is pretty easy, but he doesn't speak English very well. Overall his class is easy he gives exam reviews and they have the same questions on the test. I didn't read the book because he gives you all the answers.
I took this class during a 4 week summer session and it was very challenging. He is clear and gives you plenty of lecture to take notes on but it is A LOT of information to take in for a short class. His tests consist of 5 terms and 2 essay questions. Not a class for memoriztion, be prepared to understand concepts and history of US.
a very good teacher. Know all of his information. well organized with topics. very excited about teaching
I've had mr. Madani twice and each time he was great. He isnt that hard, you just have to make sure that you memorize your reviews because those are the tests. I think there are 3 tests and during election years there are also 3 current events quizzes. But dont sweat he'll will help you get all the answers before and he is always giving extra credi
Every once in a while you get a little gem of a dry joke. He is a bore but he isn't the worst Political Science teacher in the world. Don't forget the Current Events. They are worth more than you think.
Boring at times, you need the book unlike english classes
If you go to class then its an easy 100 i took him during the 8 weeks course and it wasnt to bad. We had to sit for 3 hours but he would give us breaks in between and we will watch videos and do out side researches also. He could teach reagular classes different but the 8 week course was fine.
Go to class and LISTEN then its an easy A
This is the second time I've taken Madani. All of his tests have reviews. He gives out papers to do that are an easy hundred. The notes are crystal clear, his teaching method is more than effective and he's incredibly helpful should you have questions. This man knows government inside and out.
EVERY GOOD TEACHER, KNOWS HIS STUFF. CAN BE A BIT BORING IF YOUR TAKING THE 8 WEEKS COURSE. HE IS VERY GOOD AT EXPLAINING THINGS AND WILL HELP YOU IF YOU NEED IT. YOU DO HOW EVER HAVE TO BE IN CLASS FOR 3 HOURS AND STAY THE WHOLE TIME, IN ORDER TO GET EXTRA CREDIT AT THE END OF THE SEMESTER. HIS TEST ARE STRAIGHT OUTOF THE NOTES SO KNOW YOUR NOTES.
madani is awesome. his class was super easy, tests were EXACTLY like the review. you really dont need a book bc he reads you the answers so you can study them so SHOW UP to class. extra credit available :) yay mr madani!
prof madani is awesome. his class was super easy and you actually learn something. his tests are exactly like the reviwes! just show up to class and he'll give you the answers to every question. all you do is study! make sure you do the current event reviews, the quizzes over those are kinda tough. great class tho! :)
Hey, it's Gov't. Come on, it's easy stuff. He is a good prof, and has some half decent lectures. Just go in and get your A, if you can't pass this guys class go back to BK or McD's.
He is the best gov't teacher that God gave to this earth. You have to do is come to class and listen. he lectures and gives a review and a test. and news currents. EASY EASY EASY. he is very willing to help his students. he is one of the good ones.
Profesor Madani requires that you be on time for class. Study from the test questions and you will get an A for sure. Easy class.
i hate government and i am no good at it but madani was great :] no homework, just tests which he gives you an identical review for. ADVICE: do the newscurrents and do the reviews and you will ace it
Dr.Mdani is the easiest gov Professor [email protected] will learn a lot from him b/c he?s very knowledgeable u?ll see that when u take his class. The exams r exactly like the reviews he provides& provides lots of extra credit.Be aware of the current event assignment do?m ahead of time u will be quizzed over?m.BE IN CLASS ON TIME THAT'S WHAT HE EXPECTS!!
Awesome and super easy. Just show up on the day before the test and he'll give you the answers.
Very boring class. It's hard to sit through a lecture. Each day is a challenge for your brain. Sometimes adds in questions not from your reviews on the tests such as a random statistic that you didn't have time to or didn't write on notes but overall you should at least make a B.
He is a fair, knowledgeable professor. All you have to do is attend lectures & listen to him then study the review and an A is guaranteed. Some students complain because he expects them to know what he talked about the previous lecture, or because he caught them asleep or texting. Honestly, He is one of the best teachers and getting an A is easy
Dr. Madani rocks. Students who complain from him are the ones who fall asleep in the class, the ones who never know what is happening in the class or what is the chapter we are tacking about or they ones who want a free grades. He is one of the best teachers, his exams are all from the reviews. Getting an A in this class is a piece of cake
The only way to flunk this class is to either be mentally retarded or be super lazy, the man gives the exam review and all the question in the exam are from the review. All he expect from you is to know what he talked about in previous sessions. Also do your project. I wish if he would teach more classes. One can get A+s easy. He's awesome
He's a nice teacher and willing to help his students. Attend class, do your work and you'll be fine. This isn't high school, so expect to study. Also if you have 3 absences AFTER the second test you would not get the review so that's nothing to worry about. You can tell he loves his job. I recommend him to anybody.
Dr Madani Rocks! He is the Afghan Sean Connery. I had a great time in his class and I learned. Make sure that you attend class or it will cost you in the long run. Gives review for tests as long as your attendance is good. I would absolutely take another class from him.
There is nothing bad to say about Dr. Madani, he is an awesome professor. He is a very smart man that knows his material well. I really don?t understand the bad comment below; I guess they never showed up to class to know how easy it is when you actually study and show up to class. All you have to do is show up to class, study the material, and you
madani is by far one of the best profs at tcc! If you attend class daily and take notes.. you will ace your test. His tests are 100 questions, but he goes over the review sheet. take him, as he is very knowledgeable and intersting
Dr. Madani is passionate about what he teaches and is clear on what he expects. He is not hard but you do have to study to earn the grade you want. My favorite thing about him is his excitment that you can see in his eyes when he teaches, i would def recommend him! ignore the comments about the "accent" b/c he honestly doesn't have one at all!
Dr.Madani is a great professor. As long as you go to class, take notes, and study for exams you will get an A+. He is great easy class as long as you do what you're told
Dr.Madani is a Great professor. He is very firm with not disturbing his class and being in attendance. He will not hesitate to call you out on anything so beware. He's a cool dude tho. Just be there and study the review really good and you will do awesome!
Dr. Madani is nice and very knowledgeable. But his class is getting harder by the day.First the questions in the exam have nothing to do with the review so no matter how much you studied the review you can hardly make a B. Second: He is giving us way too many current events which are very hard and simply overwhelm us.
Dr. Madani is nice and very knowledgeable. Mr. Madani. Please enough with the current events stuff. It is getting to be too much!
One of the worst professors I've ever had. His accent is hard to understand, his lectures involving reading us Power Points and hardly relate to the reviews or tests. He offers extra credit, but they're hard to do and only worth 5 points. I would definitely not recommend him.
His tests are easy as pie. but the final is really hard. its the most boring class vie ever had but it was the easiest. I now have to retake the course now because i failed the final. good luck
Professor Madani is a very respectable man who expects his students to act as adults as we all should. He is very passionate about what he teaches, and is very knowledgeable in this subject. There are no assignments, just 4 tests including the final and some extra credit. I would recommend him to mature students! He's a wonderful teacher!
He is kind of strict but nice if you pay attention. He is very smart and knows tons! the thing is that Mr. Madani is VERY boring and it is EXTREMELY hard to pay attention because he makes it not fun
His tests are easy, but his final nearly took my A to a B. He put questions on his test that he never covered throughout his class. He sometimes makes mistakes when he grades his tests, so watch out! Because of that I am not sure that I would recommend him. A B is possible. An A will be hard.
Amazing professor. He does not like students to be late to class which is very understandable he says it is rude and disrespectful, which I totally agree. You can easily make an A in his class if your not late or absent, he will give you a review that would guarrantee you to ace your test (if you do the review) I enjoy his class very much!! A++++
This professor is extremely boring, his tests are really hard, and he gives no review. He found something on line and said we could use that for our review. NO ONE passed his first exam until he gave everyone a huge point curve. Haven't finished this class but hopefully it gets better than this.
Not a very good teacher if you are not already good at Government. Also, has a thick accent that is reflected in his notes.
He is alright!!!!
He's very boring and just talks the whole time. He does kinda give you help and a chance to raise your grade. He was.... ok.
He so mean, and not nice to students at all... Boring lecture. No review on some test (i think its depend on his mood). 1st test you doom then no way you can get the better grade even how hard you try!!! few extra credit was given (but it doesnt change the situation at all)
He's pretty good overall. I see as extremely knowledgable decent professor. He does talk about Afghanistan but that okay because thats just were he's from. Alot of ppl disliked him though, but its all good Im still taking him next semester
He is so rude!! He has a thick accent that you don't understand anything he says. He isn't helpful teacher. You don't learn anything in his class and classes are so boring. He is also so picky about the grades. He isn't going to change your grade even it is 89.9!! Do not take this teacher!!
Very rude to the students for unnecessary reasons. Very opinionated. First test covers 5 chapters and he doesn't tell you what to look over so you're basically set up to fail. No one (and I mean no one) passed. Anyways, his tests DO get easier. That is, if he feels like it. Awful experience. Not taking him for Gov. 2305.
To me he was very boring, for me to have his class in the morning he should have had some way of keeping his students attention. couldnt really understand him because of his accent and he gets off topic to me.
I am taking his wintermester class, so far he has been really NICE and everything can be done in a group... tests and projects. As long as you attend class and show up on time and stay the whole class you can work with your group of 4 people. He is very knowledgable, has given us lots of review and answers to the test. He is a great professor!!!!
He is an easy teacher! I do not know why people say that he has an accent because I do not notice it at all. Just come to class and do the review for his test.
His class is easy, he gives review questions before each test. study the review you will pass the test. Just be on time
I am still in his class but so far I think he is a very nice, imnformative professor. The only complaint that I would have is that some of the material on the test reviews he never covered in class. But ALL answers on the reviews are in the textbook. So defntaly get the textbook.Great teacher though.
Prof. Madani is one of the most knowledgeable people I've ever met. He likes it when your interested, genuinely that is. Try to be passionate about the topics don't be a Shrek. If you visit him in his office he is willing to talk and explain personally. Review his questions before the exam and you'll be good.
Easiest teacher ever. Come to class you'll get an A. He tells u everything for the test. Gives a study guide which is the basically test & will answer the questions in class if you ask. Sweet man who is funny but lectures boring. Took him for 2305 & 2306
I have not had a bad experience with any professor yet, but Mr. Madani has been then worst professor I have had so far! He spends half the class ranting about people who are tardy or absent. He is hard to understand due to his thick accent, and his lectures are not organized at ALL!
Dr. Hamed is an outstanding professor that actually cares to teach and deliver a great lecture . It’s a shame to claim that he’s got a thick accent when he doesn’t! I was late to his class before, and yes he hates it and speaks out his opinion of late comers. Being on time is the least respect that we the students should give in return!
Taken him before for Federal govt and he is a great teacher. Makes understanding easy
I don't know what everyone is talking about. He is so mean!I am a pretty well rounded student. Takes attendance every day. Posts p.p. that serve as his lecture. 3 exams. He gave a review only bc a girl begged him to. If you get lucky, the review is the exam basically. Be on time and take notes and be prepared bc he will call you out!!!
No textbook is required. He gives you a link online to read as your textbook but I never read it. No quizzes just test so you want to do well on those. He calls you out if you are late or not on time. Make sure to take notes bc he will also call you out. annoying accent. Pretty ok teacher just rude.
Review = Exam no notes needed. He'll call on you for answers during lectures though but it doesn't matter, he'll just talk down on you.Sit away from where he likes to stand, like away from the podium (for me). 3 Absences = drop. He can be mean if you're late/don't pay attention. My advice don't get him in the morning. That class was zZzZzZz for me.
I think he is a great teacher! Knowledgeable and helpful if you have any questions. I don't think he is mean. He is just strict about being on time and cellphone use during class. He is just looking out for the students who are on time and in class ready to learn. He gives a review before each exam
He is the best! He lectures with well organized power points which he posts online. No homework or in class assignments, 4 exams that make your total grade
I actually enjoyed this class. Attendance is a must, he will actually raise your final grade if you have had good attendance!Do not buy the textbook! It's not worth it! The reviews are exactly like the test, though he adds in 5-10 of his own questions. I didn't pay a ton on attention but I still got an A!
Overall he was ok but his lectures go on and on when asked a specific question about the test, make sure you go over the review questions and power points before each test.
He was really strict and kind of rude but overall not too bad. His lectures are boring and you don't really have to pay attention if you just do the review correctly. He will call you out though if you're not focused. He's long winded. Ask him questions about the review. Also, don't be tardy, and don't leave during his lecture. You will regret it.
Man his class is super freaking easy! However, his lectures are extremely boring and he loves to talk about his native country afghanistan. I never took notes in his class. His tests are EXACTLY like his review, in the EXACT same order. Im also taking him for GOV 2306 and its the same thing. Take his class if you want an easy A. Super easy class.
Very easy professor, just show up to class. Only time you should be really paying attention is when he hands out reviews because theyre exactly like the tests. His lectures are literally lectures, I found that taking notes throughout his lectures was useless.
I was dreading a government class but his lectures made it interesting. He responds to email and seems to appreciate answering questions in his office hours. I really enjoyed his class.
This professor's teaching method is straightforward. He expects you to attend, pay attention, and respect the work he puts in class. No textbook. Review is almost like the test. Some questions come from his lectures. He wants the best for his students, and he'll call you out if he catches you daydreaming. If you answer right, he will respect you
Show up to class (on time!!), pay attention, dostudy reviews and you will be fine. Be warned if you do not show up on time or skip class YOU WILL NOT PASS!! He takes attendance, tardiness, and cellphone rules seriously. No book is needed he provides PowerPoint presentations. Great Professor!! Definitely Recommend!!
I wish he taught more than one Texas government class next semester, he's an OUTSTANDING PROFESSOR! He is so knowledgable about politics and the government I was always amazed by his lectures by what I learned, he's super nice as well. Take him! Study the reviews a week in advance since there's only four tests for the whole semester.
Tests are the same as review questions. Broken English. Unorganized PowerPoints. Monotone. Not very engaging. Lecture not really necessary other than for attendance. Just do review and study it in order to pass. I don't recommend him.
Worst professor at TCC. He is monotone and rude. He complained to our class about how facilities never does their job. What teacher does that? His reviews look exactly like the test, so there's no point in coming to class besides not getting dropped. If you take his class, be prepared for a very boring, rude professor.
Great teacher. As long as you listen in class and take notes, you'll pass with an easy A. He also gives extra credits opportunities of your choice if you ever need so.
Test is same as review but the test wording can be confusing, no need to take notes, it's useless. Just study the review and ask question for answer. I took it got maymester and was still able to pass with an A. Not a pass over class, actual studying for this class. His teaching is very long and boring.
This professor is very rude. He will call you out in front of the entire class. Madani is hard to understand with his accent. Expect him to call on you and ask you questions. I would not recommend this professor, he only gives exams. He also threatens to drop his students. Be prepared to listen to a boring lecture. Don't get caught with your phone.
Extremely boring lectures, rude, and unclear on certain parts of the lecture. Asking questions to clarify confusing parts and he will give you a long rant over "active listening" and how you are a poor student and not ready for the real world. Class is easy enough to pass for a standard student.
The test q's are multiple choice and TF that cover the info in the review. Pay attention to details bc they're tricky. The tests aren't difficult, & he offers extra credit. COME TO CLASS ON TIME. If you're late or absent, he notices. He'll call you out and threaten to give an alternate test. Bathroom breaks are a big no also.
I absolutely loved Dr. Madani's class. He's sweet, funny, and offers extra credit! His lectures entertaining and a pleasure to attend.
Tests are tough You have to do good on them to pass because the only grades you get is 3 tests and your final He has an accent as he is from Iran but he will repeat himself if needed Tests are pretty tough you HAVE TO know the material You will have to read all the powerpoints at home before you come to class Gives extra credit if you come to class
NO NO NO NO. Do not take him. His tests do not line up with his lectures or his reviews. He is boring and difficult to understand. I would never ever take him again.
Do not take his course, he puts a lot of trick questions on his test. Also, no matter how hard you study, you'll still fail !
I would never take him ever again. His tests don't line up with what he "teaches" nor do they make sense grammatically. Do not take him.
He's a stickler for attendance and punctuality. Understandable, however he gets this across in... perhaps not the best way. While he seems well-meaning, I, like another reviewer, found his comments implying that TCC students are "less-than" students at higher priced colleges, offensive. While he has an accent, he's not difficult to understand.
Took Madani for 2306 and then took him in a wintermester for 2305. He's the type of teacher who expects you to show up every day ready to go. If you got questions, he's got answers. The test is exactly like the review that he gives, stick to the review and watch his tricky test questions and you'll more than likely make a good grade.
terrible teacher
As long as you go to class and pay attention/take notes this is a great class to take. What I appreciate the most about Prof Madani is that he puts out the exam study guide in the middle of the unit. This allows you to focus on what will be on the exam during his long lectures. He's a slow speaker and has a bit of an accent but he's very clear.
Dr. Madani is clear about course expectations. Simple, show up, follow slides, take notes & you will do well. He respects his students & expects his students to respect his lecture & other learners by showing up on time & not leaving early. Not a lot of homework. If you want to learn & are responsible, this is the course for you.
Prof Madani has a bit of an accent but he's very clear as long as you are there in class, pay/take good notes, study his power points, do his study guide and do extra credit you can make an awesome grade. Yes, long lectures but not boring, your homework would mainly be reading which helps you complete the study guide. Yes, I would take him again.
He WILL call people out during lectures to ask questions. He mocks people who ask questions that he deems as obvious. He doesn't allow laptops. He goes through power points at lightening speed. He goes on tangents. Tests are easy though as long as you do the review. IMO okay professor, not a great personal experience, easy A though.
He wants you to write down notes while he's teaching, but I personally just brought the review questions to class and wrote down the answers to whatever came up. Very easy class to get a B or greater in. No book required and your whole grade comes from the tests.
Madani's lectures can get pretty lengthy, but I usually work on his projects or do the reviews (which are exactly like the tests). He is strict on phones and sleeping during class but only because he finds it rude. I use my laptop almost every day in class and he doesn't mind. You'll have 3 tests, 1 final, 1 group project, and 1 individual project.
This class is all lecture, the good thing is though, it can be an easy A. If you go to class, and pay attention, you'll ace the tests, which is all that he grades. Since there's only 4 tests in this class to grade, he does offer a LOT of extra credit. He does put up PowerPoints online to help with reviews, and if you do those, you'll ace the tests.
Lectures are pretty boring. Gives 3 test and group project. He always gives extra credit for every test though. Always turn in something for extra credit; most of the time, he forgets what the extra credit is about and gives you 5-10 points on your test.
Madani was a pretty easy teacher. there are three test and extra credit opportunities. His lectures throughout the class and it isn't mandatory but you may want to come to a few to have an idea of whats on the test. The test were pretty simple he gives a review and goes over it. There was one group project and he is not a harsh grader.
I liked him. A nice guy who enjoys and is knowledgeable about the subject. He's easy going and laid back. 3 test (that includes the final) & 1 group project. I decided to do the project by myself, he doesn't mind. Lots of opportunities to get extra credit.
Complete and memorize the review sheets and you'll pass the tests. The lectures are generally very long and painful to sit through, but this is not a challenging class.
His lectures are excruciating and he purposely like to call out his students to make them feel stupid. His class is mainly the tests and make sure you memorize the review to get high scores on the test. Show up to class and do not focus on the laptops/phones. He just really boring, so do not sit in the front of the class either.
I took his US Government class last fall and it was easy. My class was lecture hall, didn't even have to listen to his lectures. Don't sit in the front. Beware if you bring your laptop, he may ask you to look something up. Do the review and you'll pass. Also do the extra credit, it can help a lot as well. He will talk to you after class.
a very amazing and caring teacher. he understands your situation and tries to give you extra credit so you can pass.
Professor Madani is a good teacher, he doesn't require a textbook for 2306, instead uses an online source and his own powerpoints. Pay attention to the lectures and you'll do fine. Professor Madani doesn't intentionally try to make US Government difficult. No papers, no homework beyond the assigned reading.
Wasn't a bad professor overall, but his accent is think and his lectures are tedious. If you have trouble paying attention anyway I would not suggest this class at all.
His lectures are boring. Just get the review and answer them well, because it's like the exam questions, just worded differently. Not too bad, but I would have preferred a different professor.
His lectures are very boring. He talks super slow and it's easy to zone him out. His accent is too thick. Do not take his summer class. The slides he has don't even cover all the stuff on the review.
Mr. Madani is not going to keep you awake. By making you laugh or doing some crazy stunts. He lectures and takes question & that is it. With that being said. He class is easy if you show up, do the reviews, and pay attention. He offers a lot of extra credit, and WILL ALWAYS HELP YOU OUT.
He doesn't give out reviews anymore and that makes the class really tough because there are a BUNCH of slides on the powerpoint... too much information.
Hardest professor , all he does is lecture and you are left alone to learn and read on your own. Only 4 tests to determine grade, provides extra credit but it didn't help. So boring , no fun. Don't take , warning.
DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS UNLESS... You want to be graded on only the 5 test grades. He gives you extra credit but it does NOT help. He does not have reviews anymore & lecture is so boring and his accent is very thick. Its difficult to learn in such a boring classroom setting. Go to office hours for more extra credit, but he may not help you much.
Very difficult, his accent is very thick. His tests are super difficult. He doesnt specify what he wants you to study.
No reviews. Lectures are long and boring. Accent isn't too bad. 5 tests are the only grades in the class. Some are easy, others are super detailed. Study notes and reading in detail to be safe. He does offer extra credit that will probably help your grade enough to pass the test. Good luck.
His extra credit system isn't ideal. The most points he gives for extra credit on a test is 3 and that depends on if you did the most or averaged the most amount of extra credit opportunities per each exam. I took him Tuesday and Thursday 8:30-9:50. I didn't do so well because I do bad in early morning classes.
For my class he was really nice and I learned a lot in his, he doesn't really have a thick accent idk why everyone thinks so and he did give us a review by giving us the exam questions and answers orally before the exam which really helped. I do recommend him for govt classes because he gives a lot of extra credit opportunities.
This professor is not the best professor but he is not the worst either. He is kind of boring but he isnt that hard to understand. The class consists of 5 tests and thats it. It helps to go to class but you really dont have to every single day. All you have to do is the review and study it and you can get an A.
He says to buy the book but I didn't use it most of the time. Most of the answers on quizes he will give in class, you can even ask him & he will tell you the answers. 2/4 exams I found online too! He likes when people participate. His accent isn't that bad either. Don't skip class!!! Extra credit is only for the beginning of the semester btw
I took him for summer 2. Super cool guy, reviews are identical to the exam. Lectures on PowerPoints. You dont really need the book unless you want just extra help, I rented out the old version and was fine.
He does not speak clear English and most of the time hes mumbling instead of speaking louder and more clear for the whole classroom , he even insults or talks negatively about his students once they leave the room but once they return he gets silent .. which is very unprofessional and displeasing I will never recommend him honestly , sorry .
He only has 4 tests throughout the semester so make sure you do good on those. He gives you a review for every test. Make sure you write everything down from his power-points or you will get lost.
super easy class, no homework, just study the review up until the test and you're good to go! the only grades are 3 exams and the final so make sure you study that review!! Professor Madani is very patient and wants you in class on time as well as minimal class participation! For those that care, he has an accent but his English is perfect!
Mr. Madani class was very boring he is one of those boring teachers that stands and rambles all day but his class is easy the only grades you get are 3 test and one final thats it. He offers some extra credit at the end. There are better gov teachers at the school but if their class is full you can take him he's not strict at all very laid back
Hard to understand and he gets off subject to the lecture for papers often
Its simple if you study good youll get an A. I took his class and Id study our test review only the night before for about an hour and a half and would still get an A on the test . Beyond easy if you just study ! Great teacher , really knows what hes talking about and you can tell he enjoys teaching , would definitely take his class again!!
At first I didn't like him because he would yell at students who would leave the room and then give us a separate lecture about why we shouldn't leave the room and how we should never stop writing down info, but as the sem went on he was better. The textbook is really only needed if you need extra help. There are only 4 tests so be sure and study.
Professor Madani does not give reviews, assignments nor quizzes. Only four tests and you must study his slides and your notes and book for the test. There is no guidance on what to focus on. Its extremely lecture heavy. He is very knowledgeable and credible but the way he formats his class is horrid.
Professor Madani only gives 4 tests the entire semester and is super lecture heavy. He provides extra credit, but it can be difficult to understand exactly what he wants. There arent any test reviews so youre left in the dark on what to study. It wouldnt be so bad if most of the notes werent nonsense that wont be in the test. Good luck.
Hes very rude to me and my friend, yelled at us when we tried to reach out for our grades! Hes not very straightforward when answering questions either! And his PowerPoint reviews are so badly organized, its a mess! And his extra credits are so confusing because you never know what he actually wants in these extra credits.
I took him for federal gov and he was horrible but when I took him for Texas gov he was a little bit less horrible if that makes sense, for Texas he gives you a review which really would've helped out in federal but oh well. Still very rude and heavy on lectures. There are 4 tests and we didn't use the textbook at all.
Took a summer class & wasn't impressed. Powerpoints of up to 100 slides with some repeating or left blank, book was unused, and had points taken off because that I disagreed with his political opinions. Dr. Madani preaches his opinion as fact and leaves no room for any opposing views in his class. He also told us to google answers he didn't know.
If you're a busy person this is the class for you. His class only consists of four discussion board posts and a four tests, there isn't even a comprehensive final and all the due dates are all spaced out with like 3 weeks. But you do have to read about 3 chapters of the book or just look up the test review up on google (thats what i did)
You have to attend each class because he takes attendance that way. He also answers all questions that students want help with. These questions are in a list and are all used in the test. If you review these questions over, you'll do great on the exams. So take advantage of the time in class and ask all the questions you need help understanding.
class is pretty boring. just him talking for an hour and a half. does have accent but understandable. just download the test review and answer it through class. attendance isnt mandatory but he will bump your grade a little if you show up. non proctored quizzes outside class. you can tell he is very knowledgeable about politics. easy, boring a
This class is 80% test grades. The problem with this is that the tests are made in a way to try and trick, or it's just outdated and wrong. The tests will often have questions based on material that was hardly covered, or not covered at all. Very frustrating, would not recommend.
Professor Madani is lectured heavy! He really cares and wants everyone to pass. His class is easy though, and you should pass with an A if you attend class. There's 4 test, and 4 discussion boards.
He lets you use notes for test and only 4 test and 4 discussions
Professor Madani is a very kind teacher. Although the classes felt lengthy I never doubted if I had enough information or was underprepared for an exam. Professor Madani only gave 4 exams and 4 discussion boards. This was honestly one of my all-time favorite classes.I took him for both federal and texas governments and loved it. I 100% recommend
The semester is made up of 4 tests that are 80% of the grade and 4 discussions that are 20%. Every test had questions that weren't talked about in class and had mistakes. Each unit powerpoints have up to 200 slides. He does allow notes on the tests but they are still hard. He's nice outside of class but it's not worth it. I don't recommend him
hes kinda mid tbh
Took him for 2305 and 2306. He gets really offended when people are on their phone or if they use the restroom during class. 80% tests and 20% DBs which are a free 100. The tests arent that hard but some of the questions are worded badly and confusing. The tests are done in class but he doesnt walk around so most people just google the answers.
The professor is very kind, but his slideshows are very long and it takes time to understand the material, the test are nothing like the slideshows in class.
Madani's class has 4 exams and 4 discussions - a solid structure, though his tests can be tricky. The lectures are lengthy but engaging. Definitely use the review questions and unstuck AI to study - it really helped me ace this class.
Hes a very great professor!!! i recommend
Very lecture heavy, but if engaged and prepare the review questions ahead of time than tests are easier in my opinion. I have taken him for both 2305 and 2306, very nice and seems to be extremely passionate about teaching.
There are four modules, four discussion boards and four tests. Failing one assignment/ test means that you potentially fail the whole class. He lectures a lot, and he takes time to ask students questions about the lecture. He will call you out if he sees that you are distracted, he is not afraid to call you out. The tests can also be split screen.
Best Professor Ever. Take if you want a high grade.
Sometimes funny with what he said or his stories. He spends the class before test to go over any review questions and the test is like the review but worded differently. Is strict about phones being used. Lectures a lot and if there's a video then pay attention because he likes to call people to answer questions to make sure you're listening.
He is very passionate about Gov/Poli Sci & it shows in his lectures. If only his PP, exams/quizzes & grading ethics reflected the same. I study very hard, take notes every class, but still manage to fail. Permitted 1 cheat card for quizzes. But there is no security that he is checking for cheaters. And the language in quizzes never are consistent.
He reads off the slideshows and provides lots of anecdotal lectures. Very interesting guy, and the class is more interesting when you participate. Theres 4 discussion posts and 4 tests. He provides the test questions, so you can make study guides. He allows cheat sheets!! Very obviously 'politically biased' , but hes not annoying about it.
