BUAD 590 is not hard, just a lot of work - case studies (2), 20 page paper. Dr. Tavakolian did'nt lecture that much - mostly just INTERRUPTED Student case study presentations. Could be fairly off the wall.

He is one of the best professors I've ever come across. He is very helpful and makes the class very interesting. If you attend all his lectures, you can do very well on the exams. He is a very nice person too.Highly recommended to take his class.

This class is an automatic C, if you become group leader, you're almost guaranteed a B. As long as you do the work, you're fine. He blasts people that are dumb enough to re-use past projects as there own (he's seen it before, so use one that got a good grade). He's helpful and has good advice.

First few weeks he just lectures business topics. Final is on first 6 chapters. Rest of class weeks are presentations. Groups discuss companies. Two presentations per group. Everyone gets C at end. (Group leader gets B). If anyone wants higher grade take final-its optional. Final is tough. I got C.

Class was super easy. TAKE THIS DURING THE SUMMER!! Project is pretty easy just need to grind at the work and go to his office hours. The work load in this class is heavy but not hard. Hope you get into a good group. I recommend this professor however I don?t agree with his grading system. Tavakolian grades you based on your three midterms alone. You do not have to take the final. The group project is a pass/fail. My group did exceptionally well but it had no effect on my grade.

Tests are from a test bank. You MUST read the book to pass. Lectures are minimal and he goes off on wild tangents. Group project is pass/fail. 2-3 hr presentation. He grills you big time so KNOW your company inside/out. Final group paper 20-25 pages on your presentation. Easy to pass if you're on top of things.

Hamid's class involved a fair amount of readying and writing but the presentations are your group could be thrown together in less than two to three weeks and you could still get a good grade. he made the requirements for the write-ups very clear and graded fairly easy.
