He's such a nice guy. Very helpful if you ask! Most of your grade is based off two analysis group projects. Only one exam, the final. He makes the class really interesting.
All grade is based off of 100 total pts, 3 presentations with 3 papers attached, and then one test at end. Id suggest this teacher if you like not being pressured into doing busy work, he views his students are customers, not students who need to be punished with work. He has a unique way of teaching, but id recommend him over some of the others.
You only use the book for the final and for one case analysis, so try to share with someone. The only bad thing is that he is unclear--what he gave us for the final content was much different than what was actually on it. The finaly is work 50% of the grade, but he must curve nicely because I didn't even think I passed & got a B in the class.
Principles of Management
Terrable Teacher. Isn't that hard but most of the grade is based on what a few people who actually come to the class think of your presentation. Stupid class with a terrable teacher. Do not take him for this class it was dull and boring and the worst class I've taken at WSU. And a horrible teacher!
Knowlegable and skillful, but very demanding. Good thing is that you dont need to attnd his class.
This is the WORST professor EVER!!! We were graded on four things alone, two presentations, a mid-term and a final. The class average on both exams was a D and he refused to curve. I did above average on both exams and had A's on both presentations and still recieved a C. Good luck understanding him... Completely unreasonable... AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
I took Strategic management and he was very helpful. We had lots of presentation and homework. His approach is unique and he knows his job.
Gave me a hard time during my presentation.
I took his management 495. He has good interactions and the course is reasonable but the book is very expensive.
He has lots to offer to students who are interested in the course. His course is difficult, but interesting. Personally, I had'nt any problem, but I worked hard.
He was very flexible and made the course interesting. Very smart and reliable.
Hard tests, lot of work and presentation....
His class was good and useful. You work on many projects. The gard is based on homeworks and final.
Good class
I had him for an online class which may be part of the problem, however he never answered my questions in a timely manner nor did he respond to the question I actually asked him. When he did it was with an air of arrogance. Do not take him for an online class. He may be more helpful in an actually classroom setting, but I do not know.
Hard course and lot of work. You should work very hard in his class, but if you are interested in hard work, you can take his course. Otherwise choose another instructor.
He is tough and demanding, but you can manage to get a good grade. The class was not boring but we worked hard.
He made a big effort to teach both critical and practical applications. The final was hard, but overall I found this class incredibly useful.
His approach is interesting and he offers a wide range of ideas in his class. He is tough during presntations. By and large a good professor.
Tough professor and lot of reading. He knows his work, but put pressure on you. You are suppose to read a lot and do presentations all the semester.
Do not take him unless you are prepared to teach yourself. Grading is on 3 presentations, midterm and final. Book is ridicuously expensive. If you ask a question, he will lead you in circles for over 20 minutes without actually answering. Not to mention the fact that he thinks he's always right, yet he has been proved wrong by our class many times.
He is one of the best professors I had in WSU. His approach is different, and you don?t need to attend the class. But, his course is not that easy because you should work hard. Personally, I managed to get good grades and I found the course very useful.
Prof. Yeganeh is so awesome, I really learned a lot in his class, especially about the international business. Very knowlegable and approachable. He has a good sense of humor.
Good course and a great professor. Well presented and useful course.
Very good course, but lot of works. Do not take with him unless you are pepared to work hard. He definitvely knows his job. The course was extremely useful.
He is a nice guy and will help you. The grading is based on term papers, presentations and midterm and final exams. I suggest him for international business and management related courses.
He knows his job. Highly recommended fo all international courses.
Good course!
The course was very useful, but do not take this course unless you are prepared to work hard. The textbook and lectures were not boring. He is a very good approach to teaching international business.
Great class, great Prof, great book
He is tough but his class is not boring. His approach to teaching is different and you should pay attention to group works. You can manage to get good grades.
This was an online course. Be prepared to be graded only on a midterm, 30-40 pg. group paper, case analysis, and final. It was a joke to have to write a group paper in an online class! If you have to take the class, start on your book assignment (group paper) early.
I took his international business and the course was really hard. Be prepared for lot of work and analyses if you take his course.
Be prepared for some hard tests. However, he has a different approach and makes international business interesting. Good for international business.
Take this professor! He is very flexible, cares about his students, and runs his class around the students. Great guy, great professor. Take him!
Take Professor Yeganeh! He cares about his students, works his class around to meet the students need, all of them! Its really hard to find a professor that cares about all the students like Yeganeh. I would suggest you take him! If you need something, talk to him, he is one of the best foreign professor thus far at WSU. Take him!
Professor Yeganeh is very passionate about international business. I really enjoyed this class and learned a lot. I would like to take other classes with him.
Great teacher. Very helpful and makes sure his students understand the material. Took him for two classes, both classes were easy with how he presented the material. Awesome teacher.
Really cares about his students. Is always willing to help in anyway he can. Very clear on directions. Presents the material very clearly which makes it easy to understand. Overall, I would gladly take him for more classes.
Dr. Yeganeh has been one of the best professors I have ever seen at WSU. I really enjoyed this class and learned a lot. Great teacher! I'd like to take him again.
I wish I could agree with all of the other reviews and say I liked him as a professor, but I really didn't. I can tell he is passionate about international business, but I didn't find myself connecting with the subject. His lectures are boring, and his tests are always highly curved because of the poor grades. I wouldn't recommend taking him.
He is extremely knowledgeable on International Business. His lectures are interesting and he is energetic about the subject he teaches.
His class periods are pretty boring but they arn't really mandatory, Tests are difficult but our class got him to tone down the tests by the end of the semester. Hes a great guy, His white board drawings interesting to say the least, Take him, I had him for a night class and we got out early almost everyday.
I enjoyed taking MGMT495 with him. I can recommend my friends to take MGMT 495 course with him. Cases are relevant.
Tests are pretty straightforward. Make sure to read the chapter reviews he puts on D2L and skim the chapters. Don't bother reading his PowerPoints. A group project is 20% of your final grade, so hope that you get a good group. You'll need the textbook for the project. He's quick to return emails. I took this online and would recommend doing so.
There's one big group project. Not really sure what he grades it based on. Test answers are all on quizlet if you take the class online. I would recommend him if you take his class online, in class is pretty boring. Not a terribly difficult class, just not very exciting.
Overall the class was okay. I hated his grading system. Everything was out of only 10 points, so it was very easy to do bad. He emails you back within 30 minutes of you sending the email, so that was nice for questions. Big group paper and 3 tests with a few discussions.
Since there is really no homework to back-up the understanding of the material you really need to read it to understand it. He is an extremely easy grader. I think you get an A if you just try. With that being said I didn't really learn much in this class outside of the chapter I did my group paper on.
Great class, awesome teacher. Highly recommended.
He was always available for questions or concerns. Unlike some others, he answered all emails and did not ignore questions. He is so clear and helpful in every email that he sends.
For an on-line class he is terrible. There isn't any feedback so really, you have no idea what it is that you need to improve on or what you actually learned or didn't.
He is a nice guy and cares about what he is teaching. Some of his lectures are too long. Grading is straightforward, multiple tests and discussions, a long paper.
Professor Yeganeh is a great guy in general and really cares about his students. I took his international business class and misses my fair share of classes but will still probably end up with an A or B. There are 4 quizzes (online) and 3 discussion questions, a group project, and a final worth 35 percent of your grade.
Actually a super great professor. He responds to emails within hours and understands that communication is key. There are three quizzes which consist of 20 questions, four discussions, a group project, and a final. I didn't feel too stressed about this class throughout the month (summer course).
Boring. Don't take him. He knows a lot but just doesn't make it interesting enough to learn. If you want to learn...I probably wouldn't take him. But if you want an easy B - this is probably your guy.
Hamid is a very smart professor but he gives very dry lectures. In fact, you can skip a couple times and seriously not miss anything in this class. For this course there were exams that could be taken outside of class and one big project. Pretty easy! He is a good professor
did not give feedback on papers
Dr. Yeganeh has been one of the best professors I have ever been around at WSU. Yeganah communicated very well with students, had a good sense of humor and was very fair in his grading. I look forward to taking more classes with him.
The course included 4 multiple choices tests, short papers and a country analysis project. Attendance is not mandatory. He is smart and fair. I got a lot of international business from this class, id take him again.
Super responsive online- probably the best online class I've taken at WSU because of his reminder emails, well organized page on D2L, and stress free.
Professor Yeganeh is one of the lesser professors Ive had in my 3 years of being in the WSU college of business. Doesnt really do much as far as teaching goes, as its a purely online course. His criteria for the final paper is extremely poorly laid out. Has really small time windows on exams. Randomly becomes a way tougher grade at the end.
Professor Yeganeh was always available for questions and responded immediately. I look forward to taking more classes with him.
We are halfway through the semester, and we all collectively are still unsure what this class is about. Group projects are given with little to no direction. Prof interrupts midway through presentations to critique us and ask irrelevant questions or make comments irrelevant to the content. Makes tasteless controversial comments about recent events.
There are only two assignments in his class. One is a group and on your own. After that, there are four tests and a final. You will not do well in his class if you slip at all. Slow at feedback.
Prof. Yaganeh is very prompt in responding. He is very engaged and responsive to questions and proactive in setting expectations. He uses D2L efficiently. There are 4 tests, 2 assignments, and the final.
The class consists of 4 quizzes, 2 group presentations (with papers), and a final. Group presentations are the hardest assignments in the class, so choose your group wisely since you'll be working with the same people. The Professor critiques you on presentations so make sure to pay attention to his lectures or ask questions so you are prepared.
This is a pretty straight course with a combination of multiple choices and homework. Professor Yeganeh sends out regular reminders and provides feedback if you ask. All in all a stress-free course with clear guidelines.
This professor is not good. He is very unclear about instructions for this course. He has not taught any of the material and it is a fairly difficult subject. He is very unclear about instructions and guidelines for assignments. You have to apply a lot of information for the case analysis but he does not help with explaining the material at all.
There is a challenging business case analysis in addition to the finals, 4 multiple choices exams and a group project. Be sure to plan for the business case and get instructions from the professor.
This was an online class, however Professor Yeganeh was always clear on course assignments, timely on posting his materials and very understanding. The tests were to hard and not enough clear information was given on what or how to study.
No engagement for the online class. Did not provide an feedback. Rude.
Professor Yeganeh always prompted our involvement in class discussions, can't say that everyone participated but it was encouraged. Throughout the semester groups in our class worked as a group on a Country Analysis project outside of that there was not a lot of interaction between classmates.
He seems to care about what he is teaching.I think there needs to be a longer time limit on exams. You have to click so many times before going to another question. Case analysis and group projects were alright.
He was engaged and responsive to questions. Proactive in setting expectations and appreciate the encouragement when questioning the methods for studying.
Not a bad guy, attendance is not mandatory. One group project and all exams are online. 3 papers at 2 page max, they're all about videos he provides. Only issue is he doesn't give feedback on papers so it can be tough to know how to improve. He provides a textbook for free on d2L. Often rambles on during class and has some good one liners.
He failed me and I was 2 points away from the C. He does not keep in touch with his students besides the email he sends out before each exam. And does not care about his students.
He is an excellent teacher, and his communication via email was exceptional. The course included four tests, a group project, an individual assignment, and a final exam. The final was a combination of multiple-choice questions and essays. The class was straightforward, and I thoroughly enjoyed the concepts we covered.
He communicated very well for an online course. There are 4 multiple choices and a big project is kind of confusing. He was fair in grading.
There were 4 exams, 4 assignments, group project and final. He responded immediately when my group had issues with a classmate. I enjoyed the subject and appreciated the tips given with each chapter review. I am not the best test taker and I felt rushed a lot of the time when it came to those.
Good guy, appreciate him as a teacher. Everything was stated the first day of class. Always a fast response at e-mailing back. Case analysis guidelines were very clear. For tests, we were told what we were to be tested on and the professor communicated this very clearly.
There are four exams, two term papers, and a final exam. He responded quickly to emails and sent reminders. Overall, good.
