This calculus based probability and statistics class is the easiest class a math major (like me) will ever take, but probably the hardest math class a non-math major will ever take. ok, let me preface this by saying I have had Hany for 3 classes at NEU- 3081, 4681, and 4682. I tanked my first 3081 test and then put my head down and studied really hard to get an A. Hany genuinely wants to help his students but you have to show up. Funny, kind, and genius mathematician. Last day of classes with him will def make you emotional.

Hanai wants his students to succeed and is there for students in office hours. My problem with his course was his quizzes were super easy, cut and paste from the slides, but his exams were harder problems from the book. He wasn't really clear on the exam material so the whole class bombed the first test. Do the homeworks and you'll do great.

Professor Sadaka is a good professor and knows the material well. He moves quickly and can sometimes be difficult to understand in class, but for the most part his lectures are good. The content is difficult, but you can succeed in his classes with the appropriate level of studying.

He publicly humiliated a student after catching them cheating. He also would yell at the class when we underperformed on test averages and called us lazy. He didn't assign homework but would blame us for not doing suggested problems that would be similar to the tests. We didn't know formula sheets were allowed until the last quiz. He can't teach.

Pretty standard Calc 2 teacher. Mostly just does examples and very rarely explains the theory, but if you ask him to he will. He's super passionate about Calc 2 and made me want to go to class even though it was at 4:30.

Please DO NOT take this professor! I kid you not, this entire semester he has been so passive-aggressive and it is scary to go to his class. He expects everybody to participate and raise their hands but if you say the wrong answer, he ridicules you in front of the class. You HAVE to attend class or else he'll lower your grade. Would NOT recommend!!

Grads depend on final(40%) 2 midterms(20%each) and quizzes(can drop 2). Sometimes it's not so friendly when you ask him questions. The Lectures are easy to understand, and he likes to teach some techniques to make things easier. For attendance, doesn't accept wellness day. And could be the last credit because of absence depending on his mood.

Northeastern's math department have made grading changes which sucks. 20% quizzes, 20% each midterm, and the final is 40%. The class isn't extremely difficult but beware that you're going to have to teach yourself. Hany teaches some topics better than others which is a bummer. He's also very passionate which makes the class bearable.

Hani is very hit or miss. If you are a student who shows up, asks questions, or just is present - He's good. He is NOT good for anyone who wants to skip lectures or just sleep through class. You need to come every class, pay attention and take notes. If you do this, really try to understand the topics - you'll do fine. Sucks that the final is 40%:(
