excellent professor...fun in class..explains thoroughly..i hate math but she made me appreciate it...

This profesor is what all students want. she would always be on time in class, explain lessons thouroughly, would repeated if some were distracted. she surely belongs to math department becuase of her wisdom in that subject. People would not understand if they would not speak english, she was well-explained with a precious accent.

During Summer I, 2007 I took Elementary Statistics with Mrs. Amro. She is an excellent professor. She is very helpful. She cares about her students. I like Mrs. Amro teaching style, she explains the material so well. STC should hire more Math professors like Mrs. Amro. I recommend her for any Math class.

She's a very easy teacher. She's nice and explains everything in class fluently. She does everything off the internet.

Really like this teacher! Took Bus. Calc and no textbook needed. She made things very clear and very easy. Little hmwk that she doesn't grade, its for practice. Great personality, usually all smiles. Slight accent, but speaks great English. Take her if you can for Business Calc. You won't regret it!!!

Mrs. Amro is an excellent professor. Her teaching techniques are awesome! She is very clear, helpful, and is willing to go the extra mile for her students. She has examples on web ct that students can access and not only see the problem but also listen to her explain step by step. I got an A in college algebra. She totally rocks!

my class was online and it was amazing! extremely easy to follow. the tests had to be taken on campus but she provides an audio cd which gives examples of everything and even explains how to do it on the calculator. if u just go over the review you should get an easy A!!!

Mrs. Amro is the best math teacher at STC! At least compared to Kazerani and Li. She explains everything so well and she doesn't waste your time if you really want to learn take her. I got a 100 average in her class and I learned so much.. her tests are just like the problems from the homework and quizes which serve as study guides.. SHE ROCKS!

I did not believe that there could be an easy-easy-really easy class in college, but after taking her class I noticed that her class is the easiest class @ stc.she is cool & easy to understand. u don?t need the book but u need a calculator T83. Easy 100's. A+. Highly recommend.

I TOOK HER ONLINE....REALLY EASY....TEST ARE EXACTLY LIKE THE STUDY GUIDE. YOU NEED TO SHOW UP TO SCHOOL IN ORDER TO TAKE THE TESTS. OH AND ONE THING I DID NOT LIKE WAS THAT SHE MAKES MISTAKES ON THE STUDY GUIDE..OVERALL GOOD TEACHER.

She is an amazing teacher. She explains everything very well and always goes over any problems you might need help with. She is very understanding as well and works with you in case you need to be out on a day that a major exam is taking place. GREAT teacher.

Great teacher. Show's problem solving methods step-by-step. Does not go by the book. Has a slight accent, but she will make sure everyone understands what she's saying. Very patient and good sense of humor. Gives extra credit for perfect attendance.

Mrs. Amro is a funny professor she makes class seem easy to understand. I have always been good at math but thanks to her i feel i only got better.

She teaches good, however, she expects for you to keep up. If you don't understand, stop her and ask questions. She does have an accent. Go to her office and feel free to ask questions. She will try to do everything in her hands to help her students. Five tests lowest droped and no essay.

OMG TAKE HER! This was my 3rd try at algebra n thought i was never gonna pass. Im HORRIBLE at math. I studied n w/her teaching I passed w/a B! if i can do it, you certainly can do it better lol. I took her in the summer and i recommend that because u dont have a chance of forgetting de material btween exams. register early, classes fill up quick!

One word: Great! No text book required which is a plus (; extra money to spare, 10 points extra credit either by showing notes or attending tutoring (optional). Four exams plus final exam; study guides are VERY similar to all exams. Homework is also optional but very HELPFUL. Attendance is up to you, although,for attending you recieve 2pts on exams

ONLINE: SUPER EASY AS LONG AS YOU STUDY AND DON'T PROCRASTINATE. JUST FOLLOW GUIDELINES AND STUDY AND YOU'LL GET AN A. Only 4 test and 4 quizzes. I studied for the first one and got a 100. The last three I procrastinated and I barely passed them. Overall grade was a C. So just study and don't procrastinate!

I really enjoyed taking two classes with her...I took algebra and calculus 1 and I got B's...she's a sweet woman and very helpful...Tests very similar to the handouts....Nothing compared with her husband...don't take him,he's the oppossite.(rude and not very helpful :/)

Best professor at STC. Don't need the book. No homework as long as class passes 1st exam. 5 exams 1 essay. Drops the lowest exam. I hated Math, got an A. Reviews are like exams. Attendance for extra credit.

She is absolutely great. i got a 99 average in her class. she is easy and helps out a lot. she gives extra credit. she assigns homework but its your choice to finish it although doing it will help you alot. and her notes are great to have i recommend her completely!!

I took her for Fundamentals of Math II online and it hasn't been hard at all. She gives you all the notes that you need to pass and it there to help you if you need it. No book needed. Exams must be taken on campus though, but other than that, a breeze.

She is a great teacher. If you do the homework you will get A, good notes,she is also helfull.

Took Ms Amro for Statistics 1414 online during summer. The class is a little bit diifficult, but Ms. Amro is the best. 4 test & 4 homework assignments & a final. She drops the lowest test grade.

I took her for STATS online and though this class is very hard she was very helpful even invited anyone who needed the extra work to go to her on campus class. i did have to go to tutoring cuz math is my worst subject, but she is very helpful. 4 quizzes, 4 tests, and final. she drops lowest test grade :) good luck!

No book is needed she is very helpful. I was able to learn math something I was unable to do before. Gives extra points for attendence drops lowest test score. I actually learned A LOT thanks to this lady. I highly recommend her she is great.

Dr. Amro is a great professor if you want to learn properly. She is helpful, friendly and funny. I got a B in her class I think I could of gotten an A but I was always late, I had her at 8am I'm not a morning person. You can not be late if you want extra points. I highly recommend her for College Algebra if you want to boost your GPA :)

I just absolutely HATE math and always have. BUT, this Professor takes a bad and horrible situation and makes it great. She makes sure that you understand and will not move on until you do. She goes above and beyond the call of duty. I vote her unnamimously as 'Teacher of the Year' and she should teach other Professors how to care like she does.

Highly recommend Amro. It's easy if you make it easy, by showing up to class and listening to her lectures. Pay attention and you'll totally understand every inch of College Algebra. She makes it incredibly understandable and it kinda made me like math... yeah like math.. cause I completely hated it, but now it's manageable and fun solving.

Dr. Amro is truly a gem of STC. I never thought a math lecture could be so much fun before taking her class. Attendance is a must. She offers a lot of extra credit. There is a mid-term, which she provides a study sheet, and the final exam is comprehensive, but certainly not overwhelming. I highly recommend this professor.

sad to say i took stats 3x but i pass her class with an A. NO text book. Participate & it helps U in the long run, trust. few easy opportunities for extra credit. Many quizzes and hw but easy if you listen and take notes. one final and midterms. The class is easy if you listen and put a little effort. accent maybe make things to hard but she good

If you pay attention to the lectures material is easy to understand and a definite A. She is very helpful and gives multiple examples. I liked her class because even though there is a lot of homework/quizzes, everything is online and I had the opportunity to use my notes. Only problem is she rarely gives second chances on missed work.

I took online courses. The course is neat and easy to follow an easy A if you follow the plan for the class. Midterm and final and couple of discussion board. By the way, if any student mentioned bad things means they are failing. this course easy to follow and its not about a teacher, its about what can you lean. (100%)

She's a good teacher overall, and really does want to help. There is a lot of homework, but she does her best to offer extra credit so that your avg is bumped up. She also bumps up the midterm. Very helpful overall, responds to emails relatively quickly. Always eager to meet you and help you irl in her office.

Dr. Amro really helped students who sought out her help. She made it very easy to get an A, giving extra credit for both the Midterm and Final. You do have to put in the work and really understand the concepts, but the exams are doable if you study and review. She does have a heavy accent so be careful when taking her in person.

She is great, if you have a familiar issue just let her know and she will give a chance to make the homework or even the test! Great! She is hilarious and knows about her class very well!

Easy, well design course. weekly Homework and quizzes due Sunday using MYMATHLAB 50% Discussion Board 5 to 6 which is 10% Midterm and final 20% each timed and proctored extra points for midterm and final if you finished on time plus course evaluation

Very caring teacher! She helped me get through my "stats struggles" and thanks to her patience with me, I graduated right after her class :) I could not have done it without her help since I am terrible at math. She really looked out for me. I fully recommend her. (online stats)

Great Professor everything is very organized and clear! The only bad thing is that you have to purchase MyMathLab which is a little over $100. Its just HW, Quizes, Midterm and Final. The midterm and Final are have to be taken through webcame.

Dr. Amro is amazing. Pay attention, go to class and do your homework. Lectures are pretty heavy but you can learn a lot. She's funny and her accent is just adorable, shes such a nice lady.

Took this class online and Professor Amro had it set up very clear as far due dates and material that was needed. We used math lab and did not need to purchase a book. She would upload chapters and even had reviews for the final and midterm. Lots of homework, but that's how you learn. I def recommend this course. Great professor

EASY A! Homework every week, it will be easy if you attend class and pay attention to her lectures if you skip you'll probably be lost. There are discussions once in a while and a total of 5 quizzes. She gave a review for the midterm and the final and goes over them in class. She offers extra points for midterm and final if you complete the review

Dr. Amro was one of my 1st professors when I first came to STC (Pecan). Her accent isn't hard to understand but overall she's very clear in her lessons. She gives bi-weekly tests on 2 sections via LockDown Browser. Her lectures are recorded for anyone who misses out. But it's the student's responsibility to be caught up with the course and to pass.

I am not the sharpest tool in the shed, but Hanan Amro made sure I left her class with some knowledge of math. I genuinely loved her class and would recommend it to anyone who is considering taking it.
