Q is one of the best teachers I have ever had. He is funny and his lectures are captivating, if you are planning on going into med school or pharmacy this is the class to take. He gives a real insight into what those paths in life are going to take. He cares deeply about his students and encourages greatly to meet with him every chance.
Professor Q is by far the best teacher I have ever had. He knows his stuff like the back of his hand, making lectures intriguing and easy to follow. He realizes when the class isn't quiet understanding and will use a different method of explanation until it's understood. He is genuine, and encourages his students to meet with him. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Best teacher you could have by far!!!! He really cares about his student and will do anything to help you understand! He makes lectures interesting and is very funny. He's a very fair grader and really prepares you for tests!
You won't find a more caring, considerate educator at ECC. Totally accessible, e-mail or stop at his office anytime. He'll even let you stop by while he's lecturing another class to review past quizzes/tests. He truly cares about his students and it shows. His lectures are great, pay attention and write good notes.
Q is the BEST teacher I've ever had! He always made himself available to help his students and he teaches in such logical ways. He cares for his students as if they're his own and wants them to succeed. The course is not easy, but Q made it a LOT easier. If you put in effort, he will recognize you for it and it will make learning much easier!!!
He's honestly an amazing professor. He always had time outside of class to help you with any questions and concerns. If you sent him an email, he would respond in minutes. He gave everyone in the course his time and you could see that he loved teaching. I honestly should've done better for him because he did so much for us even in this epidemic. :)
He is an amazing teacher! If you put in the effort he will help you out. His lectures are clear and he makes time to help any student out. Teaching is his priority and he really shows how much he cares for his students. By far one of the greatest professors I've had. You have to put in the time to study if you want a good grade.
Mr.Q is truly the most helpful teacher ive ever had, he is available around the clock to help his students, he always answers his emails if you have a question, and he truly cares about his students more than anything. If you need to take Bio-110 take Mr.Q
Mr. Q cares about his students and is really funny. He doesnt use PowerPoint or D2L, but he will send out practice questions/problems via gmail that help you understand the content. Unfortunately though I dropped the class because it was a hard class to follow along with sometimes and without PowerPoints to know what is coming up I got lost
Professor Qasmieh may be the most accessible teacher that I have in ECC. He has a little accent, but you'll get used to it after a week or two. I took BIO110 with him as an online class, and we had a lot of homework. You may need to do a lot of reading and do a lot of homework to get a good grade.
Probably the worst teacher Ive ever had at Ecc his class is a joke. Give out handwritten note terrible note , Same notes for 110 to.. even though there differ classes.. the type of professor who gives really bad lectures hes even insulting and wont answer your questions dont take a Professor who starts out by sayings hes the king of lazy.
This is the hardest class I have ever taken. You have to watch multiple 2 hours lectures a week which are out of order so the notes are confusing. He is available often but is rude and wont answer any questions he has already answered. His notes are very confusing and in multiple different places and tests are any material he has ever gone over.
The class is very lecture-heavy, so you'll definitely need to put in the work to succeed. Mr.Q is very open to helping outside of class. So, if you need help then ask for it. Lectures are easy to follow if you pay attention. He's funny here and there.
In this Bio 110 class I was able to clearly learn what Biology was through instructor Qasmieh's teachings. While the course was certainly difficult, anyone could overcome it if he or she was willing and able to dedicate the appropriate amount of time needed to pass. After all, he went into detail about every crucial idea to help students learn.
Professor goes above and beyond to help those who are willing to put in the work. The course isn't easy, you must be willing to put in the time to study. He provides plenty of guidance and material prior to lectures and expects you to have read them. Extremely passionate about teaching and his students. It was an honor to have met professor Q.
Prof. Qasmieh is an experienced educator who loves his students and his job. Very detailed lectures that are prerecorded & always available, even from other classes to give you a diff. POV to better understand the material. He is available 24/7 and response time is VERY quick. Put in the effort, ask a lot of Q's, &don't wait to ask for help!
A slightly more difficult class than most others I took that semester. The material takes time to understand as it is majority memorization, so as long as you allocate time to study and actively watch his lectures you should be fine. Apart from teaching, he is also an enjoyable personality to have as a professor and very available if you need help.
His class was so ridiculous I had to drop after two weeks. He makes you watch all his 2 hour lectures from every other section of BIO113 and even all of his 110 classes as well because he never goes over the same content twice. He would start in the middle of content and say you must watch all the other lectures to understand everything.
I have never had a more passionate and dedicated professor, Mr. Q is available anytime you have a question or need help. He will encourage and inspire you to reach your full potential. The class is challenging, as it should be, but he provides all materials to ensure your success. Without a doubt the most rewarding class you will ever take!
This professor is very passionate in the material he teaches along with caring about making sure each student is doing their best to succeed in the course.
This class is slightly difficult, including a lot of memorization. As long as you set time aside and study, this class is manageable. There is not a lot of homework, if any they're quick labs. Qasmieh is a wonderful, understanding professor. He is great with communicating to his students and would encourage other students to take biology with Dr.Q
Professor Q is an awesome teacher everything he lectures is on the exam or quiz if you give your effort and time to study its an easy As. His very caring and giving. I truly enjoyed being in his class. His very easy to reach out and his always welling to help out if you dont understand any of the lectures.
As a junior in high school, this was a new and challenging experience. Luckily, Professor Q provided extensive notes and videos to help secure success in the class. He was also available almost 24/7 to answer questions or go over exams. This transition was not one without struggle but it was better knowing someone cared and was willing to help.
When you take this course with Professor Qasmieh, you must be ready to watch lectures, take notes, and to study those notes repeatedly. If you are ever confused, the professor is extremely accessible. Prof. Q. is a funny guy so the few in-person labs I had were a blast! If you are looking to genuinely learn, take BIO-110 with Hani Qasmieh!
Professor Qasmieh is always available to answer any questions we might have regarding test, quizzes, homework, or labs. It has been one of my more difficult classes so far as a senior in high school taking this class. He mentions a lot that you have to be committed and I agree. He also is constantly reminding us what we need to turn in each day.
I can say without Q being as great of a teacher as he is I would not have passed this class. The subject itself was hard for me, however he was able to help me understand things a lot better. He is fair and completely upfront about the difficult of the course and will do everything he can to help you succeed and understand the course.
Professor Hani is truly a great professor to have. That said, you will have to work hard to pass in the class. Professor Hani is extremely accessible outside of class and you can expect a response within minutes. He also cares very deeply for each of his students and hopes for their success. He never sugar-coats anything and tells you how it is.
It's definitely a class you have to be committed to if you want to to do well. He is always available for any questions you may have, and is in contact. He sends emails to remind you of any labs due soon, quizzes or exams coming up. It's a great class if you invest the time and effort.
BIO 110 itself can be very challenging at times and requires a lot of extra time outside of the classroom. However, with professor Quasmieh as long as you show proper work ethic and communicate with him there is no reason for you not to pass this class. He is over the top available and does a fantastic job at sending reminders.
I was very lucky to have taken Q's class last year and lucky to retake it with him this year. If you are serious about learning and want a professor who will inspire you along your path, TAKE Q'S CLASS! He's not only grown to become an astounding mentor, but a great friend to me as well. Some advice for his classes: take meticulous notes!!
He's a great professor, who does his best to help his students. The class is test-heavy and you will need to spend some time studying. Tests are sometimes long but he offers extra credit. Accessible outside of class and flexible.
Professor Qasmieh is great. Hes a passionate instructor and cares about his students. BIO114 is tough at the beginning, but gets significantly easier the second half of the semester. Overall, the class is much less intensive than BIO113.
I am a you get student taking thing course, 16. I learned a lot in this course, not just bio but learned skills important for college and school. Professor Qasmieh is always willing to help his students when needed and will make time available to meet with students.
This class was by far very hard for me. But with Professor Q he made it manageable. He was very easy to come in contact with whenever needed night or day. Not only did he help in class but is still willing to help even after the semester was over in my academic career. Overall would recommend him but you have to be willing to try in this class.
BIO113 is one of the most challenging classes I have ever taken, but Professor Q makes it all worth it. Not only did I learn a LOT, but I gained a mentor who truly treated me like his own family. I could not possibly recommend him enough! Professor Q is always available, which is rare for most professors, and he will always (ALWAYS) help a student!
It was definitely not an easy class by any means but it was really helpful that Mr. Q actually cared. He was always available to answer questions and meet with students. You have to be ready to put in the work but if you do Mr. Q will help you to be as successful as you can.
Professor Qasmieh is probably the best teacher I've taken at ECC. The course is not easy but the way he explains it makes it very simple to understand. He's genuinely caring for all his students and treats them like his own kids. He's also super easy to communicate with outside of class, responds within minutes any time of the day or even night!
The material can be quite difficult so if you dedicate time to study as much as you can. The fact that the class was almost entirely online made it a bit difficult for me to get the help I needed. Nonetheless, professor Q makes himself available for everyone, so it was a miss from me not to utilize his time availability to my advantage.
This was my first Biology class of college and it was great that he was my teacher. He was almost always available and would get back to you as soon as he could. Although the class was challenging, he made it a lot better to get through with all of the help he provides. He is a great teacher to keep in contact with for help in the future.
This class is definitely not easy by any means at all. However, despite that, Mr. Q is absolutely phenomenal at keeping in touch with students and he is always willing to meet with students to answer any questions they might have. He also really cares about all of his students and he holds them all to high standards that he knows they can attain.
Professor Qasmieh was a fantastic teacher, and I learned a great deal from him. You have to put in a lot of effort and time to get the grade you want. He is always available to answer questions and clear up any confusion. Overall, I would definitely recommend him as a professor!
Professor Qasmieh is definitely one of the best professors I've ever had. The class content is challenging but manageable. I've texted him past midnight and early in the morning, and he's always available to answer a question and help in any way. He's clear on what's expected of you from day one. Highly recommend him and this class.
Professor Q, has been the best teacher I ever had. He is accessible almost 24/7. He cares deeply about his students and wants them to learn and succeed. He gives 100% and pushes students to do the same. I learned so much in his class and was challenged in ways that helped me grow both in and outside the classroom. He's the best!
I would definitely recommend Profesor Qasmieh. He gives you everything you need to do well and goes above and beyond to be accessible to his students at all times. You can tell he wants everyone to succeed.
I took Professor Q for BIO110 this summer and he was amazing. Lectures range from 3-12 hours and were posted on D2L & notes were stored in a Google Drive that he shares. He is very organized and easy to contact outside of class. Hard class but, 10/10 would recommend if youre willing to put in the work. Studying isnt an option if you want to pass.
I have a Bachelor's degree and decided to go back to school. This Bio class was my first class back and he is one of the best professors I've ever had. He made my transition back into school the best possible. He is very available for any questions you may have and genuinely cares about students knowledge and understanding. 100% recommend.
Professor Qasmieh was a great professor. He made sure to communicate everything and tried to give a lot of extra credit so people can get their desired grades. As long as you work hard the class is great!
He is a great teacher that genuinely cares about his students success, he is also very helpful when any questions that arise from homework or lectures. Class can be a little challenging, but all the videos and homework given out helps tremendously!
This class is the hardest class Ive ever taken. Im new to college and my professor did not warn me as to how hard his class is. He doesnt assign homework, but rather 50-70 pages of notes to copy PER WEEK, and up to 8 hours of videos to take notes on. I took the hybrid option thinking he would teach, not only assign notes. I cant learn like that
He is cares about everyone and is passionate about what he teaches. He is very hard to understand (he has an accent) LOTS OF READING AND STUDYING. he said the minimum each week is 15 hours of study time. U can pass but you have to be willing to put in everything you got into this class if you want an A
Professor Qasmieh is an amazing bio teacher, if you have the time. He requests 10 to 15 hours of studying for his class. Even though he is a tough teacher, he still give you plenty of resources for you to take. DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS UNLESS YOU HAVE PLENTY OF TIME. He is also super funny which is always a plus.
Qasmieh is a respectable and caring; however, his class is very time-consuming, so commitment is a must. The class is lecture-oriented, the textbook isn't needed. There is a quiz every week and 5 tests total (they're tough, but do-able). Professor is very enthusiastic when it comes to helping students no matter what time of day. 10/10, great class.
Great and accessible. Very hard class, but has given me a great foundation. I feel challenged, but in a good way. Must know material down to its core to do well in this class. Most prepared for premed classes with this class.
This class is extremely challenging in the workload you are given. However, if you know that going in and devote time and effort into this class and the lectures and videos and notes then you will have great success. This is one of my favorite professors Ive ever had. He is always willing to help you and will accommodate to your time needs.
Because of the pandemic the class was all online, with no zoom meetings at all. Despite this, professor was always available to answer and zoom. The class is very content heavy. The test questions are also made to trick you, so you need to know your material well to pass the class.
Professor Q is a VERY intelligent person, he gives you everything you need to succeed, you just need to be willing to put in the effort. The class is not easy, but Professor Q really does care about helping you succeed, you just have to be willing to go out and take it. He is very accessible and will make time to zoom with you if you need any help!
Professor Qasmieh went above and beyond the normal roles of a professor. He was very accessible outside the class, even answering my questions at 7 pm on a Saturday. While the amount of coursework may seem overwhelming, he thoroughly prepared me for exams, assuring that I excelled. Qasmieh has made me a much better student than before. Thank you!
Professor Qasmieh is excellent. He doesn't sugarcoat anything, but you have to put in the work. He genuinely cares about his students and is always available to you. He gives you all the tools you need, and as long as you commit the time to this class, you will pass. He is a great professor as long as you do your part, and he will help you.
He is the definition of "perfecting the craft", from the lectures to his own handwritten notes he has perfected the method of teaching. Don't come to this class thinking that you could put minimal effort and still pass, it is a lot of hard work and commitment but ill tell you first that the amount of knowledge that you gain is irreplaceable.
Going into this class, make sure you are prepared to apply the appropriate time to really absorb the content as there is a lot of material and it is quite easy to fall behind. Professor Qasmieh truly cares for each student in his course and is extremely willing and available to help should you need guidance with either class or extracurriculars.
great overall experience, very communicative and understanding of his students situations/needs would definitely reccomend to anyone looking to go into the Healthcare field! you'll learn more than just bio in the class!
Professor Qasmieh is a really great person first and foremost. He cares about his students and that really shows with how accessible he is no matter what time of the day. His lectures go into a lot of detail and he stresses how important things are very often, emphasizing when to really pay attention in lectures. I will take him again if I can!
Professor Qasmieh is by far one of my favorite professors at ECC. You can tell he wants to connect with the class even if it is online. He is very understanding and is always willing to help a student. The material you learn is not easy but he gives you so many resources to help you. If you want to pass the class you definitely have to study.
The course is extremely heavy and does require a LOT of time commitment/self-study but he's very clear and concise when explaining the content. He's always available and eager to help with any questions or to just get to know you in general. Definitly worth it to reach out. Overall he's a great person and one of the best science teachers I've had!
This is probably one of the best teachers Ive ever had, very compassionate and very genuine when it comes to his teaching, he genuinely cares about his students and the subjects he teaches.
This is a very difficult class and requires you to put effort. That being said, Professor Qasmieh does his best to prepare you and helps you stay organized by sending constant reminders. He is a good professor.
Professor Qasmieh goes out of his way to make sure his students learn all the materials they need. Although you do have to be on top of your game for this class, professor Qasmieh is very helpful and always provides the class with notes and videos of him going over problems/quizzes to watch. I would recommend taking his classes!
I recommend this class to anyone, but especially those interested in rigorous fields like medicine. You will learn so much and the fast pace will make you a better student. The video lectures are interesting and in-depth ensuring comprehension; I'm sure the in-person lectures are even better. Work hard and you will enjoy the class a lot!
I really respect him for reaching out and connecting with each of the students. He would ask for tips on what to do better and he was always available to help. He responded very quickly when you reached out to him, but I do think that the class was difficult. I should have done better, but he did everything he could on his end.
This class was probably the hardest one I've had at ECC but Professor Qasmieh really did help us understand the content. He gives us all of the resources available to succeed in the class and is available to help at honestly any time. He's really passionate about teaching and really cares about his students. If you put in the work, you'll do good.
This is one of the best professors Ive ever had in my school years. He spends so much time on every individual student. In the lectures he repeats himself over and over so you understand. I remember at the beginning of the year I was in the middle of a quiz and it stopped working and I was scared and I called him and he helped right away.
Professor Qasmieh goes above and beyond to help his students. You can not procrastinate in order to pass this class. Lectures are very understandable but need a mastery of concepts in order to get a good grade in the tests. Get Ready to Study!
Professor Q is a great bio teacher! I recommend watching all of his lectures, especially since they help immensely with future quizzes and exams.
Qasmieh really does everything in his power to make sure you can succeed in a very difficult class. In a disastrous semester where I had to drop a bunch of my classes, I was able to keep this class because he was directly supporting me and helping me catch up. *Definitely* recommend doing the practice quizzes!
Hybrid class. Many lecture videos worth 4-7hrs of watching. Wanted us to watch them more than once in a week time frame. Quizzes & tests were very difficult. The terminology used was confusing, uses questions as scenarios, & tricky. Gave it my all. Fast paced & little time to study back to back topics. Never opened up the textbooks, waste of money.
I took Professor Qasmieh for a completely asynchronous Bio113 class. Each week you had to watch 5-8 hours worth of video lectures and do a couple chapters of reading. Not much homework. Primarily quizzes and tests. The only thing I did not like was that you could not see what you got wrong on the quizzes and tests. Skipping videos is not an option!
He does not teach entrance level bio. This class is the building blocks for ALL other science courses. He teaches as if you just came right out of AP Bio. Starts right off with Chemistry and is very hard. Get ready to do LOTS of reading/studying. He says outside studying should be a minimum of 15 hours a week. As if some dont have a life outside
Lectures were engaging and easy to follow. One of the most important things was to just pay attention. The professor cares about the success of his students. The content is heavy, so work is required outside of the class to get good grades. Grades are dependent on how well you do on tests/quizzes, so study well for those. Overall a great class.
You won't forget a single thing you learn in this class. Rather than focusing on memorization and repetition, he focuses on understanding; the key to learning. That is what really makes him such a fantastic professor to me. The class is difficult, theres no doubt about that, but he made it more an enjoyable challenge than an agonizing battle.
Professor Qasmieh is always available to help even through text. The course its self is very rigorous and something I was not used to. Studying is a must in this class in order to succeed, which is something I improved greatly on this semester. You learn something new every day in this class which keeps it interesting and sometimes difficult.
Prof Qasmieh is a great instructor. He gives us all the necessary information needed to pass. He is very thorough with his explanations and makes sure we understand all the concepts. This class is hard so we really need to put our time and effort into studying the notes and information he has provided us. You will fail if you don't give your best.
I had to take this class online so maybe in person is different, but it was the most stressful class I've ever taken. He posted 2-3 hour long lecture videos of him screen recording and writing out poorly organized notes. The tests were like 100 questions and took multiple hours to complete. Don't recommend unless you want to have a lot of stress.
Phenomenal professor! He is very passionate in every aspect and is always willing to help both academically and with any other question you may have. During his lectures, he will quiz you to make sure you are understanding the material and encourages you to ask questions. He provides thorough explanations and uploads all notes videos online as well
Professor Qasmieh is the absolute best instructor I have ever had at ECC. He takes the time to get to know his students and is always willing and available to help. He is one of those professors that you can never forget. The class is very difficult content-wise but with Qasmieh, it is a fun challenge. I would 100% recommend taking his class.
Professor Q has to be my FAVORITE teacher I have taken at ECC thus far. Although, he does not make it easy for you to just wing this class, it's only because he cares. He wants you to LEARN as well as succeed. He made the class fun, and he made it very clear on what you needed to do and the work you needed to put in to be successful. RECOMMEND :)
Lots and lots of expected information to be known/memorized/retained in a short period of time every week and even month. Difficult tests, quizzes and lab exams if you don't put in the work. You must put in the work and hours for it to pay off! PAY ATTENTION to his lectures, they are better to understand and easy to follow before he uses videos!
Professor Qasmieh is by far one of the most intelligent instructors I have ever taken! You will learn so much information in this class that will for sure prep you for future science classes. The class is difficult, but very doable if you take the time and effort. He is always available to help you, and cares about your success! highly recommended!
Professor Qasmieh is truly one of the best instructors I have ever had. He makes it clear how much he cares about each of his students and goes out of his way to help you succeed. You learn a great deal through taking his courses as he wants all students to understand the material, not just merely memorize it for a quiz.
It took me a few weeks to get dialed into his teaching style. There is a lot of information he expects you to master and apply. I didn't like the class at first but the more I interacted with him the more I began to appreciate his process. It's not an easy class but he provides plenty of opportunity to succeed if you put in the work.
This class is difficult as expected. Right from the beginning, it's important to spend your time wisely studying as quizzes and tests are the only grades put in the grade book. However, his personality made the learning environment fun and bubbly.
Professor Qasmieh made clear what was expected. Material that was to be tested on was clearly outlined. Said material was provided through lecture format and then again through his own notes and videos. Provided sufficient and effective resources. To describe his teaching style would be: organized, to the point, yet detailed.
Although this was a difficult class, he made class entertaining and always provided you with the resources you needed to succeed in his class. He truly cares about his students and was always quick to answer text about any questions or concerns.
He is a very good Professor who encourages all his students to do well. The Lectures have a lot of information, every detail is important. For this class I would watch numerous videos and take an ample amount of notes. It was difficult but very insightful. I learned and grew as a student through the different ways he taught this course.
This class is no joke! You have to put lots of effort and dedication into this class. Professor Qasmieh will make you question your study methods. It's not about being smart, its about how much time you dedicate to studying. If you want to take a REAL college level course, take this class with Professor Qasmeih! He is THE best teacher at ECC!!!
This class requires a lot of time and consistancy but it is very doable. The proffesor provides many resources and is always wiling help his students succeed.
The class material is difficult but the professor is really understanding. It is easy to talk to the professor and he is always available to help us out.
Professor Qasmieh is one of the best professors I've had, he cares about his students and wants them to fully understand the class. This class is not easy, understanding each concept is a must. Make sure you dedicate enough time to absorb all the content shared in class. If you are not willing to study, you will not do good in this class.
Never have experienced a class so fun, challenging, and rewarding and it's really due to how he treats us all like a family. You'll never meet a professor that cares about you and your success as much as he does. He is someone you'll never forget and someone you wouldn't want to. Plus, he tells the best stories.
I have had Qasmieh 3 times, and each time was a great experience. This was my first in person class with him, and it was incredibly enjoyable and engaging. There was not a single lecture that I did not enjoy attending. His classes do require a reasonable amount of studying, but if you do that then exams are not too difficult.
I had professor Qasmieh for both Bio 113 and 114 and I can say with full confidence that he is a truly phenomenal professor. He gives more than ample opportunity to succeed in his course while also challenging his students. Professor Q truly cares for each individual student and makes a true effort to get to know everyone beyond the surface.
Professor Qasmieh is a wonderful lecturer and such a caring person. I feel like I learned a ton in this class! Attendance is extremely important as well as taking notes. The class seriously takes a lot of studying; it's definitely a college level biology course, not as easy as high school. He also makes himself as available as possible for students.
This is my second class with Professor Q and he is amazing yet again. He genuinely cares about his students (life inside and outside the classroom) and is a very funny professor. The class is very content heavy, but Professor Q is easily accessible and you should not worry about reaching out because he will always make time for his students!
Professor Q is hands down one of the best professors I've had. The class is not easy and it requires a lot of studying, but Professor Q is always quick to make time outside of class to help as best he can. His lectures were amazing and every class was entertaining. He genuinely cares for his students like family and wants everyone to succeed.
Prof. Q is a great teacher and an amazing person. His class is very difficult so you need to spend a lot of time self-studying to understand the content. However, he explains things thoroughly and makes his class engaging and enjoyable. It's also easy to reach Q outside of class, he is always available. I would definitely take his class again!
The best, he's hard. But he is the best for people going into the medical field. He is an important landmark to begin ur career as a med student or a bio student for that matter. He will make you realize if this is really what you want to do. but he's super caring and will guide you well in life. Rest assured if you are in good hands.
Qasmieh is one of the best profs I've ever had and I wish I could take more classes with him! He's caring, supportive, and passionate about his work and sees the potential in every student. He's very approachable. The class is challenging but his lectures are amazing and I learned so much not only about the coursework but about life in general.
This isn't a class you would want to take if you just wanted an easy A. I can promise it won't be easy. In order to get an A, you will need to study every day. In one class period, you may write multiple pages of notes and they better be good because you need to know every little detail of his lectures. When I say every detail, I mean every detail!
If you can take another professor DO SO! Stay away from this professor if you don't want MAJOR stress. He lectures and acts like you are supposed to know what he's saying. In his in-person if you answer a question he asks wrong, he will make you feel guilty for it. 100+ question tests with little time. BE PREPARED TO STUDY LIKE CRAZY.
This one of the hardest classes I have taken. However, one of the best Professors a student could ask for. He texts, calls, and zooms whenever you need. He also provides his own material and drives to help you succeed. It is a lot of work, time dedication, and study-time heavy. Do your part, and I promise he will do everything he can to help you.
This professor genuinely cared about his students, and them doing well. He is always easy to reach, and provides the students with many resources to learn.
This class was quite challenging but with the help of professor Qasmieh i was able to pass. He provides more than enough resources for the tests which helps you have full comprehension of the lesson. Take advantage of this, put the time in, and study hard. He also cares and wants the best for his students and is very accessible outside of class.
In order to succeed in this class you must devote to studying and paying attention to lectures. (Do not procrastinate) Regardless, Professor Qasmieh is a caring person who wants his students to succeed. He provides students with a lot of material to help prepare for exams. Do not be afraid to ask for help, he responds to his messages quickly!
Professor Qasmieh made taking BIO110 online asynchronous much easier than I expected. He is very accessible for us students outside of class time and gets back to you in a timely manner. The course structure was set up very professionally and made it much easy to follow along know what needed to be completed each week.
I took professor Qasmieh's online summer class. It was fast paced with only 2 months to learn the material/ do assignments. Regardless, the syllabus was clear/easy to understand! Be ready to put in the time to study! The professor was VERY accessible throughout the semester, encouraging students to reach out via zoom, email, text, or calls :)
made such easy topics a struggle to learn, terrible at explaining anything. Would not take again if given the opportunity. Class consists of lectures not related to the tests and labs are fast paced and not enough time is given.
First, if you look at the reviews you can tell that all of them are fake. I'm pretty sure he writes his own rating because they all consist of the same wording and vocabulary, and the reviews are over consecutive days. He had a 101 class feel so stressed. He gave 100+ questions exams with littlest time possible. Please don't take this professor
Whatever you do don't believe the good reviews, first they look fake, second they or over consecutive days. This professor is HEAVY on tests and lectures. The thing is even if you stud, you are not prepared for his test! I will give him that he is accessible outside of class that's really the only good thing. He seems like a nice guy tho.
Do yourself a favor a do not take this professor!!!! Please do not be fooled by the ratings, first they look like he wrote his own ratings. You will suffer in this class with this professor! I took Professor Pearion after dropping and it was SOOOOO much better.
As a person who loves science Professor Hani made me hate going to his class. Study guides are not even related to his test or quizzes. The grade is determined by test and quizzes he likes to move test dates around or even join a test or quiz together. For the first test he basically said that if you had a low score to not even go to his office hrs
At ECC I have had the pleasure of working with many great teachers, Qasmieh however has very much been the exception to this trend. Everyday I would show up to class confused as to what was expected of me, and I would always leave feeling helpless and just as lost. Please don't be fooled by the fake reviews that he writes himself, skip this class.
Classes consist of mostly lectures and tests. This is a very tough class, but with the proper amount of studying, and reviewing you will pass. Professor Qasmieh is accessible outside of class. You can text or call him whenever and he will pick up. Before registering for this class, know that there will be a lot of studying.
He is truly an amazing person and teacher. if you ever need any help understand things he is always available. He will literally answer your text in less than 5 mins. Only thing about this class is to make sure to review after lectures and take a look at the google drive for more practice.
This class is tough. Professor Qasmieh expects you to fully understand the subjects discussed by the time you take the tests. It's a lot of reading the textbook, looking at the drive, and watching lecture videos, but all of the materials are accessible, and it comes down to how much you're willing to study.
Qasmieh was a good professor and very clear on his expectations. The material is a lot to learn but not impossible. His teaching style is unique and something very different from my teachers in past. He only grades based on tests and quizzes and homework is basically nothing.
Professor Qasmieh was overall a great professor. The class itself was very challenging and one of the most challenging classes I have ever taken. Professor Qasmieh was the fist teacher who taught me what it is really like to work hard in order to succeed. You must apply yourself and study on your own time. This class is not one to push aside.
His class was difficult, but the professor gives you all of the materials you need and more to understand the content. He makes great connections with his students and genuinely cares about how well they do. Although his tests are challenging they test if you truly understand what is going on. Just be prepared to study a lot!
Prof. Q was an incredible teacher and improved my science skills. He seriously cares about his students and is more than open to making connections and helping students out. His class involves long lectures but he does a great job at keeping them entertaining and funny by connecting them to real-world things. 100% worth taking, I loved his class.
Principles of Biology is a challenging class which demands both time and focus from students. However, Professor Qasmieh manages to provide students with all the resources needed to to not only succeed in, but to master the class. His expectations were always clear and he consistently engaged with and motivated his students throughout the course.
The class requires a lot of outside notetaking and studying (which is to be expected of a BIO class), but the teacher provided a really helpful Google Drive full of notes, practice, and lesson videos for if you had questions while studying. He is also always accessible for questions and genuinely wants students to be successful in this class.
He provides sufficient resources (google drive filled with notes/lecture videos). If you study the material using his resources, you will definitely ace the assessments. He is easily accessible through text message, email, or office hours. Responds quick. Cares about your outside life. Great professor.
Professor Qasmieh makes difficult concepts seem easy. His classes are tough, the exams are long and there's a lot of material. But if you want to understand the subject then you'll waste your time taking anyone else. Hes very kind, accessible and extremely intelligent. His requirements are simple, study hard, do what he asks and youll get an A.
Prof. Qasmieh's class helped me discover my love for biology and is the sole reason I've decided to switch majors. He cares deeply about his students and is always available to contact over email. His lectures are fast-paced and packed with info but he always provides pre-recorded lectures to watch online. I could write an essay on how great he is.
Science was a subject I had always struggled in, however, Professor Qasmieh's class was great because he provides you with all the material you need to be successful. Professor Qasmieh's teaching method makes some of the concepts easier to understand and to remember. The videos and notes that he provides on the drive are what helped me the most.
The way Professor Qasmieh teaches allows for class to be fun but also helps to make more difficult concepts a bit easier to understand. His lectures are fast paced but he provides a google drive with everything covered incase you missed anything in class! I absolutely loved his class and would definitely take another!
His class is wonderful and you will learn a lot. It is test heavy and it is important to study. All the material needed to succeed is provided during lectures and his documents. He is also easily accessible at all time and will help you with any questions you have. I highly recommend this class and I would definitely take another class with him.
The nature of BIO is that a lot of processes rely on making sure you understand every part of it. Dr. Qasmieh makes learning these processes very streamlined, makes all the information needed extremely easy to access, and is extremely easy to contact. It may seem challenging at first, but Dr.Q does everything in his power to have you succeed.
Professor Qasmieh has truly inspired me. Professor Q motivated me to always working hard. If you work hard and work dilligently, you will do amazing in this class. Im thankful to get to know Professor Q throughout this semester. Professor Q will respond to you ASAP. Focus on lectures and take/rewrite your notes many times!
I am very fortunate to meet Dr. Qasmieh. Dr. Qasmieh is caring and motivational as well as helpful. I have had many conversations with Dr. Qasmieh as he has always pushed me to do my best in this class. Work hard and ask Dr. Q questions if you have any. He will always respond back to you quick. Rewatch lectures that are posted and take notes!
i do not suggest you take his class. There is no homework or clear textbook pages to study off of. The only material you will get is notes. tests are always 100+ questions and your grade depends on them. He is very accessible so ill give him that. If you want to study for multiple hours on end, take him. Also many of the positive reviews look fake
Absolutely loved the class and the professor! Don't take the class if you don't want to put in the work because this class is not an easy A. You go over material that a lot of the other classes don't go over. The professor goes in-depth and is always willing to go over material outside of class. He's very accessible and absolutely amazing in class
Absolutely loved the class and the professor. Don't take the class if you are expecting an easy A because the class requires you to put work in. You go over material that a lot of the other classes don't go over. The professor goes very in-depth and is always willing to go over material outside of class. He's amazing in class and super accessible
First off, these comments look fake af, and they're mostly posted on the same day?! Let me just say "dr qAsMiEh" is NOT worth taking the risk. He's a tough grader. To some that's fine, but for me, I prefer a reasonable grader. Wasn't the right teacher to lead me to success. Big loss with his course, I know ppl had to drop it 1/2 way through.
Great class, the material can get hard if time outside of class isn't put in, but he really cares for his students and is very willing to assist. He also provides you with many resources to help you succeed, use them! Prof. Q was awesome, very helpful, and accessible whether it had to do with his class or not so don't hesitate to reach out.
Qasmieh is an outstanding professsor. He does a great job at throughly teaching you the material. Not only during lectures but he is always available outside of class to help. He cares about his students and wants them to succeed. He provides you with more than enough material to prepare for tests and exams. You just have to put the time in.
I took him my first year in the spring. Prof Q class is very hard, he takes it next level and expects us all to be right there with him. We started off with a full class and ended the semester with 5-8 students. If you want to do good then be ready to study a LOT. I recommend looking for another professor if you really need to take the class.
Worst teacher I've ever had. His lectures are difficult to follow, doesn't fully explain things, and are way too long. I took this class online and most of the lecture videos are from the semester before. I'd have to watch other videos on the subject on youtube in order to slightly understand the 5 hour lecture videos. Not worth it.
Professor Qasmieh genuinely puts his students first. He cares about how you are doing in the class and shows that, going out of his way to make sure you are keeping up in class. The classes he teaches are difficult, but he makes the learning environment very fun and friendly. I would recommend him as a professor to anyone!
Qasmieh was a great teacher to have. His lectures, while heavy, were easy to follow, and he made taking notes easy. I never felt that he was going too fast for me, and he made ample resources available for you to use if you were struggling. His class was tough, and test heavy, but not unfairly so. Plus, I never had any homework besides studying
I enjoyed taking his class this semester. He was an awesome professor who cares about his students and will help them if they are struggling. For the class material, make sure to study as his class isn't easy but if you put in the time you'll be okay. I'd definitely take his class again!
Mr. Qasmieh is a great instructor, His lectures do require a lot of effort from the student to understand the subject. He was always available outside of office hours to help me understand the concepts. Make sure you are reaching out to him and ask questions so that he can give you feedback and help in understanding the topic you are going over.
The class is lecture heavy, but there are videos online to watch. The professor does a good job at explaining concepts and helping with understanding difficult material. He helped me tremendously to become a better student by learning diligence and consistency. Once you stay consistent and do the work in this course, you will survive!
He is caring and goes out of his way to help his students. He explains different concepts well, and there are videos online to watch. Great professor!
Professor Qasmieh genuinely cares about what his students get out of his classes. The material is difficult, but he provides ample resources to study (lecture videos/notes) and is easily accessible outside of class. His classes will require a lot of studying but are worth the effort if you want to learn and retain the information. Highly recommend.
I loved the class but don't take if you're not willing to put in the extra time to study. The course requires a lot of work outside of class but he provides a lot of lecture videos/notes to study from. He's always willing to sit down and go over things but do not take the class for an easy A. It takes a lot of dedication and hard work.
Professor Qasmieh really cares about all students doing well in his class. He provides multiple lecture Videos and documents to study and watch to help you learn the material as well as in person lectures. He is always there if you need any help and he is very accommodating.
Professor Q was a great teacher. There are a lot of expectations in this class. If I had been able to quit my job, I'm sure I would have had a much better grade! You need to study A LOT, but he offers extra credit about halfway through so that will really help your grade. Overall, this class was great just challenging. Don't slack off!!!
Professor Q's online class was mainly based around his lecture videos, along with a google drive to study off of. Be ready to study heavily from the the videos and drive, as there is no homework aside from the labs. That said, he is very accessible and explains concepts well; if you don't understand something, don't hesitate to reach out to him.
Great professor, kind and caring for his students. Students have to study for their exams to do well in the course.
This class is difficult if you don`t take the time out to learn the material and be dedicated to the class but he is a good, and caring teacher. He cares about his students and makes sure he helps you in any way he can. Take it serious and study and you will do just fine. A very good teacher overall.
Very understanding if you need help on something or are confused just talk with him and he would help you out.
Qasmieh wants their students to do well and really cares for them. They also expect a lot from their students. If you're looking for an easy grade this is not the class for you. If you really want to learn the material in great detail then this is the class for you. They also are quick to help clarify any questions you have. Lots of lectures.
Professor Qasmieh is very knowledgeable about the material that he teaches and reserves a lot of time outside of class for students to ask questions and prepare for tests. Also, he provides many resources for students to study and practice with which is extremely helpful. I would definitely recommend this teacher to those considering taking BIO 113
Overall I enjoyed the class but be prepared to spend a LOT of time on it. I personally loved the labs and reports but definitely very time consuming. Professor is very accessible and nice but his lectures are long which I had a hard time with. Tests account for almost your entire grade so studying is extremely important.
I had a tough time with biology however this professor was amazing and truly cared about his students. 10/10.
Prof Qasmieh was a very nice and caring teacher. He really cares for his students and is willing to go the extra mile for his students to understand the lectures. He was very accessible outside of class and very helpful if needed. Bio is a hard class, but I managed to receive a B on top of working everyday, Thanks to him he made a hard class easier
Prof. Qasmieh is incredibly dedicated to his students. This class can be very difficult, but the time you put in is directly proportional to your grade (for me 2-15 hrs/week). All you need to succeed are the lectures and notes he provides. He makes complex topics simple and is always more than willing to lend extra help. Amazing professor & class.
Professor Qasmieh really knows what he's teaching and is very energetic and engaging. He gets to know his students and tries his best to help out. He posts online lectures and has a google drive that gives a lot of helpful practice problems. He's a pretty good professor.
I don't think that my recommendation for this professor could be any stronger! He truly cares about the success of his students, is available outside of class for questions, and will help you to succeed. As long as you are willing to put in a good amount of work to study and take notes, you will gain so much knowledge by the end of this BIO class.
Dr. Q's class was difficult, but manageable if you put in the work. He has high expectations of his students, but also provides every opportunity to learn. If you're having trouble, he will explain the material in different ways until you get it, which is a lot less common than you would think. Great class! Highly recommend taking Dr. Q's class!
Professor Qasmieh is one of the few professors I have had that genuinely cares about the students. He provides a lot of resources and is more than willing to answer any questions. The class is a lot of work, but that is to be expected with any Biology course, so if you were going to take such a class I highly recommend Professor Qasmieh!
Professor Q cares a lot about his students and he shows it. He's very knowledgable and passionate about the material which always made lectures very engaging. He provides many resources that will assist you outside of the lectures, so as long as you put the work in outside of class, everything will make sense and you will succeed.
Prof Q is a dedicated instructor who makes complex topics digestible. While the class is rigorous, he provides ample resources and support. Combining his lectures with unstuck study helped me master the material and earn a solid grade.
This professor 100% wrote his own rating on here. His class was very difficult to understand and if you ask a question, he belittles you. No point in buying the textbook, it was NEVER used. Quiz/exam every single week and the questions make absolutely no sense. I do not recommend, choose any other professor.
For a summer class it's very rigorous and it sometimes feels like its expected to understand something right away. A common phrase is "Of course, I already said that yesterday" even when someone asks just for clarification. So be prepared to study hard and understand something immediately.
In my two years of taking classes at ECC, this was by far the most challenging and overwhelming class I've encountered. The workload was simply unrealistic and impossible to complete effectively. I had to drop the class and retake it with a different professor, where my experience was much more manageable and rewarding.
His class is literally just him talking for 2 hours and that's it. I could watch a YouTube video and get the same knowledge for free. He expects you to do everything outside of class yourself. No class time to do problems, no going over problems, nothing… if you need this class don't choose this professor. Save urself pls I had to drop it
worst professor ever
The worst prof ever seriously. Never in my life have I done so poorly in a class... disorganized, unrealistic standards, rambles, expects students to give their whole life to this class, tests don't make sense, SO much stress I can go on and on... he's setting you up to fail
This teacher is amazing—kind, fun, and dedicated. If you want to do well, don't miss classes or be late, as it's hard to catch up. The lesson is challenging and requires listening and taking notes, but he explains everything clearly. He's an excellent teacher who makes learning enjoyable and engaging.
Professor Q was very knowledgeable about the material covered in class. If you had question he was always accessible outside of class. The course was difficult and if you do not put the hours in you wont pass but if you do you will exit the class with a deep understanding of the material. Overall Professor Qs class was difficult but its worth it.
Professor Q was a very nice and welcoming professor. He provided the class with a lot of resources to study and encouraged students to ask questions. Studying outside of class is definitely a must to do good.
Professor Qasmieh is very knowledgeable about what he teaches. If you are serious about Biology, you will walk out of this class with a much deeper knowledge of it. It is rare to find Youtube videos that go into as much detail as he does so you must listen to his lectures and study. He can be easily reached outside of class and is very caring!
Great Professor. Hard work is absolutely critical. All supplies to success are provided.
Prof. Qasmieh is extremely responsive and approachable. The material is very challenging because significant portions require an extensive amount of memorization. There is no homework outside of the labs. Overall, expect to view the lectures multi. times as the grades are based almost entirely on test scores. Taking BIO113 with him next semester.
Professor.Qasemieh was a very good teacher and his personality is very fun. You can tell he cares about his students and only wants them to succeed. If you need to take BIO 110, I would recommend this professor as your instructor.
Professor Qasmieh was the whole reason I was able to pass biology. He's a very good teacher and cares about his students success. He's very accessible in and outside of school and communicates online and in person. If you need to take biology at ECC I would recommend this professor as your first pick.
Took BIO 110 hybrid. You can tell Professor Q is knowledgeable and has passion for what he teaches. His class is a big time commitment with many lectures, the material is difficult. Expect a quiz or test almost every week, so don't procrastinate on the lectures! He's kind, funny, approachable and willing to help if you ask.
Great teacher—hard but fair. Very caring and accessible (a text away). Weekly tests/quizzes keep you on track. Offers in-person lectures, videos, and notes (no textbook needed). Focuses on what's important—no busy work. Expect 8-12 hrs/week of studying. Take this class to truly learn, not just get an easy A. Downside: Pearson access required.
This content of this class is difficult and requires a lot of studying. The professor is extremely willing to help and is accessible outside of class.
Professor Q is a professor like no other. He cares so deeply about his students and is super accessible. This man has changed my academic career. He is truly the best professor and an amazing soul. With this being said, if you are lazy do not take this class or professor. Q will actually make you think, not just use chat gpt for answers.
He is absolutely writing these reviews by himself. He is the only professor I've ever had who brags that people fail/drop his class. He's terrible at his job, unorganized, and will meet with you during office hours but will not actually help you with anything. Class is mainly self-study because he genuinely has no idea how to teach.
Professor fakes his reviews. He doesn't know how to teach and expects you to spend 20 hours a week on his class. Unrealistic expectations.
Mr. Q is a great professor. He cares about his student's success and it's easy to access him out of class! I took the Hybrid Version of this class, and I wish I had been able to take the full in person. There is lecture, quizzes every week. His class is slightly more difficult, but it is a biology class, and I learned a lot! I enjoyed his class!
While he is a really nice person and cares about his students. His questions are complicated, wordy, and confusing. There will be one word like "of" to change what you will answer completely. He over-explains everything making students more confused. He also will start raising his voice if he has to continue explaining the question.
Challenging class, but the prof is clear about what you have to do to be successful. His lectures are very clear and interesting. In addition to his video presentations, he provides notes and practice questions. He is incredibly accessible and very friendly and kind; he really wants to help students learn the material and do well in the class.
This class isn't easy, but it's definitely manageable if you put in the effort. Take thorough notes during lectures and labs—there's a lot of material. Creating summary tables really helped me prepare for exams. Don't hesitate to reach out to the professor if you're struggling—he's very approachable and genuinely wants students to succeed.
hard class in general, he breaks it down well. You have very little time to study before quizzes, adjust ur study routine. i hated how quizzes/ tests were timed to like 1 min per question. He does the opposite of motivate u so dont let him get to ur head. If you're not ready to drop the class, then don't. I regret not taking bio110 before this class
He is a good professor. You need to make sure to pay attention in lectures. You additionally need to study a lot outside of class and need to have good critical thinking skills.
Professor Q tells the best stories as breaks from lecturing for 2 hours and truly cares about his students individual success. Listen to him when he says look at the drive and videos! They seem excessive at first but end up being a lifesaver overall.
Take good, detailed notes and study them thoroughly; you can definitely get an A in the class. You cannot procrastinate since there are *a lot* of quizzes and tests, and there aren't many assignments or labs to cushion your grade. If you miss a class get the lecture notes ASAP. Do *not* fall behind in this class and take advantage of extra credit.
Professor Q. by far has been the most influential and caring professor that I have had the pleasure of taking at ecc. Although the class is challenging and requires a great amount of dedication, professor Q. is always there to help, and did I mention he is hilarious? Anyway, take professor Q. and make sure you make you reach out to him.
Lmao, trust these fake ratings at ur own risk. Definitely the worst professor I've ever had. Class was mostly disorganized, unclear, and weirdly hostile. If you like chaos and ego, he's your guy.
This class was definitely challenging, but I was able to improve a lot of my study habits because of the difficulty and level of content. He is willing to provide any help needed and is very understanding when curving tests and grades. Always study to prepare for pop quizzes. Lots of extra credit provided as well! Overall, amazing class!!
Professor Q is to the point, and he gives you a sense of reality. Q believes in you if you try, but you have to study hard for these tests and quizzes (there is little to no homework, which is extra credit). His tests are curved, so you can bump up your grade. All in all, it's a hard class, but an amazing teacher, you just have to work hard.
would never take him again. he also does not give extra credit, and does not bump your grade up.
Qasmieh is amazing, he is accessible at any hour of the day and will keep in touch with you after the semester is over. His class is difficult but he makes it all worth it. If you're studying biology, you will be taking difficult courses anyway, so give Qasmieh a try!
Reviews fooled me but don't let them fool you. Whatever you do, do NOT take this professor. I promise you will regret taking this class with him.
Other students have said this professor writes his own RMP reviews. The writing style matches his own and things said in these 5-star reviews are very inaccurate to the actual class. Not sure if he's doing this so people take his classes but this is horrible behavior. Tells you what kind of professor he is if he'd rather fake reviews than improve.
Took the class twice. Don't take the summer course if you can't devote lots of time to it. Fall/ Spring semester is a lot more reasonably paced. Lots of work but he was very reasonable. Makes himself available to his students & usually responded quickly. Bumped my grade up to a B on his own without me reaching out to him. 10/10
Do not take this class or you will be overburdened by the lectures, pre-made course notes he says are mandatory on top of the lectures, and quizzes that feel more like exams with how long they are. I even spoke to an advisor today who laughed and said they "get that a lot with this professor" when I said how difficult he makes a freshman Bio class.
First thing you should note is he writes his own RMP reviews. As also mentioned by other students. He has this weird hostile or strict manner of communication. Isn't much felxible at all. Everything is premade from years ago. get ready for hours of lectures.
He doesn't explain anything and expect us to know and understand. He just gives us some online lectures to watch and that's it. In class he speaks quiet and tests us based on the online videos that we should watch by our selfs. And if you ask for explanation he just says " common guys you should know"
Prepare for 25 hours minimum of work/study time and 100plus question exams. The professor was very nice and easy to reach but the work was just beyond ridiculous. No tests need to be that long for a prerequisite science class. I would not take this class in the summer especially.
Professor Q doesn't play around in his class. No one will tell you this, but Qasmieh's classes teaches you how to be a student. His notes and lectures and practice problems will help you. The textbook will not. People drop this class because they cannot keep up with the workload. Make sure you understand everything he says and you'll ace the class.
Could not understand in 4+ hours of videos we were required to watch for class on Wednesdays. Lots of wasted time during in-person day to rambling about things that weren't even bio-related. I wouldn't take a class with him unless you had to. I had no option because it was the only one open when I registered.
He's a great guy I have had great conversations with him and he's very accessible if you need help. I did drop this class though along with many other classmates, but I think my major problem was his online lectures online were very confusing and his test questions are worded really weird where you could easily get confused.
DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THIS PROFESSOR!!! HE WRITES HIS OWN REVIEWS!!!
Do not take this class with this professor! Hours long lessons that are very unorganized. The tests have nothing to do with anything you spent hours studying. He constantly makes comments such as “you shouldn't need to read the question” or “ you shouldn't need all the time given on the test”. You are given maybe 30 seconds to answer a question.
I really do not understand how this professor has a rating of 4. I wish someone would have warned me about his 80 + questions on his tests. He is ok at lecturing but everything he teaches in class has nothing to do with his tests. He is very disorganized on D2L. No clear grading criteria.
The positive reviews on here cannot possibly be real. Talk to any ECC student who has actually taken his class and they'll tell you all about how horrible he is. Even the ones who ended up transferring to some of the best and hardest schools in the nation.
My experience with prof is very nice. He gives clear instructions and when follow it you get the grade that you worked for. You can talk to him as he is approachable. He is direct with you and honest, no sugar coating at all. He makes sure to do everything to remind you about upcoming tests & labs. He does go the extra mile for his students.
This class is awesome, very intense, but if you actually put in work & effort to study you'll see the results you want. Professor Q is always there to review your mistakes and truly cares that you understand what is going on. He is so funny & nice and really makes bio more fun! I was super nervous before taking this class but am so glad I did!!!!
It was a challenging class but it ended up being so rewarding as I learned a lot as opposed to just memorizing content to pass tests. He cares a lot for students and their success. I would definitely recommend him as a professor, there is a lot of studying but just communicate any concerns or confusion with him, he is very open to helping.
I HIGHLY recommend taking this course with Professor Q if you are looking to go into the medical field, he will prepare you for other difficult courses and change the way you prepare as a student. Professor Q is also extremely helpful and caring towards his students. He's very easy going and will always take the time to help you if you ask for it.
It's a hard class that you need to study for if you hope to pass. He does give extra credit quizzes, he gave my class 13 of them which helped a lot. You need He's not a bad teacher you just have to show up and study a whole lots to have a chance at passing the class.
Professor Q is outstanding. When I had a question, he would usually respond within an hour. He did a great job of explaining in his lectures, and all that I needed for the tests was clearly outlined. He allowed me to try again when I didn't understand the directions fully. Above all, he is very caring for his students and wants to see them succeed.
Watch the lectures the SAME DAY he releases them!!!! The course is extremely lecture heavy and you need to make sure you are caught up with everything. You must constantly rewatch lectures and reread the notes in the drive folder. If something does not make sense or if you have a question, Mr. Q is always free to zoom call and meet in-person.
Professor Qasmieh is a very supportive instructor who truly cares about student success. He took time out of his busy schedule to meet with me on Zoom and help me understand material I was struggling with. His explanations and videos were very helpful.
A professor writing his own reviews tells you everything you need to know about the type of person he is!!! DO NOT DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS.
This professor asks students to write positive RMP reviews for him at the end of the semester. He also asks them for screenshots of the reviews when they are posted. Take that as you will.
I can't say certain things due to RMP guidelines, but I will say that you should look closely at the dates all the positive reviews were posted as well as their wording. Be sure to talk to real ECC students about their experiences with him as well. There's also another website with a review from over a decade ago worth looking at.
Prof. Qasmieh is a great communicator. He opened assignments when I most needed them open. His class did require me to set aside a lot of time to complete his assignments, and it was not easy since I work a lot. Follow his lectures, and be as attentive as possible. Biggest con is that he opens exams and closes them on the same day.
