Great teacher for Evolutionary Psychology. Challenged our minds, to think outside the box, was very open to discussion. Good difficulty level, workload very fair. By far one of the most interesting psychology courses to date. A+

Presented the course material in a clear and often amusing way. Truly knew he was a good teacher when I went to study and realized that I didn't really find the material that interesting on its own. He MADE it interesting and I loved going to class.

This man is like a late night talk show host. Definetly read the textbook, but go to his lectures because they are so much fun. He is a funny funny man.

Read the textbook and GO TO LECTURES! his tests have questions about stuff ONLY covered in his lectures as well as the text. He also takes questions out of the study guide :) Really funny and makes things easy to understand due to his stick-in-your-head funny examples

Over fond of his own voice - encouraged student expression of opposing views but he doesn't actually 'listen' to them. I wonder if these high ratings are actually due to the overly simplistic course content. This is not a challenging course - even though "Hank Baby" tells you it is. Btw I got an A.

'Hank Baby' is a very funny guy. Never heard so much trash talk in my life! lol READ the textbook and go to lectures as he enjoys pulling stuff directly from a lecture. He talks the whole time and doesn't allow for much discussion but the course is so easy WHO CARES?! lol

Never been to such a fun class before that actually makes you think of the way things are in everyday life! I look forward to my psych classes and can't wait to take another class with prof Davis!

Most entertaining lecture I've had...make psychology sound really interesting. Go to lectures, they're actually worth it and show up in a big way on exams. This guy is AWESOME.

Hank Davia is the best prof I've had. He is absolutely hilarious, every lecture is so much fun and interesting. His exams are not too difficult as long as you read the text. I would suggest to anyone even if you don't like psychology to take a class with Davis as the prof. Amazing.

Hank Baby is thee best prof I had this year. My favourite class to go to, he's so much fun, and so natural up there, it's not like he's teaching a bunch of half asleep ppl, he talks to us like he's having a conversation with a pal.Exams are tough tho, pay attention to the text and study guide!

Davis is thee best prof ever! so entertaining and interesting to listen to, gives real life examples and made psych a lot easier then i initially thought it'd be. I'd recommend this prof to anyone, I'm a bio major, but because of him i may find myself taking other psychs.. he rules!! go hank baby!!

He was a great prof who used helpful and funny examples in his lectures. You have to pay attention to what he says and take notes. Read text for exams too. I definitley recommend this course!

He made the class go by so fast and i didn't want to miss one. He was basically a stand up psychology comedian which was good because it helped keep your interest. He built up our self confedience level way up which in some cases are good but for the exam it wasn't favorable as it was hard.

Class interesting topic but be prepared that you may find some of the jokes crude or be insulted by some comments. The midterm was easy but the final was really hard. Read the textbook for sure. Class time seemed to go fast and material well explained.

hank baby was definately the best prof ever. he made things really interesting and was very approachable. You could actually sit through his class without falling asleep. I advise you to take his class for intro psych courses, you wont regret it!!

He was a good teacher and kept the class interesting but he was much to vague on what could possibly be on the exams. He also didn't cover very much material in the classes so you were on your own for the readings. He was funny though and I'd definately tell u to try one of his classes!!

He was great. He is really intelligent and is really good at giving examples for the concepts he talks about. Could definetly be a little arrogant but it didn't really interfere with his teaching.

Awesome class. Despite the fact that I found most of the concepts boring as sin, Hanky-Baby always managed to make them tolerable through a million "for example" stories. I'll never understand that man's hatred for cats, though... Probably just his love of hooded rats.

I love hanky-baby! From the grey hair to the hawaiian shirts! Any teacher that quotes Star Trek is cool with me! lol I found his classes so interesting and the stories were great for illustrating points. He's the reason I took another psych class! Definately recommend taking one of his classes!

I took Stats last semester and BARELY passed. Today in Hank's class he tought us some basic principles of stats and I learned more from him and the way he approached it than the entire semester of Stats.

Hank is an awesome prof! He explains things in such great detail and in interesting ways. He always keeps the class laughing! I <3 Him!

Hanky Baby's lectures were sooo funny and interesting! I admit that I looked forward to going to them. I appreciated his humour, I just sometimes wished that he would spend more time in lecture going over the boring stuff so we didn't have to on our own (but that's why there are SLGs, which you should go to!!!). Definitely recommend him!!!

Professor Davis is a kind, caring, sensitive, hilarious, intelligent, amazing prof!! He challenges you to look at life objectively and critically. Good prof, liked attending the lectures. he kept you interested. Absolutely hilarious, yet usually stays on topic. However, sometimes felt a little uncomfortable with some of his comments, especially regarding religion. Exams were fair if you were well prepared.

Wow. Six weeks into the semester and I can say this is the most amazing class (and prof) I've ever had. The classroom is supposed to hold 100 people but it's often Standing Room Only in here. I've never seen anyone teach with such passion and humour.

I loved my classes with Davis!! Very entertaining speaker, he's hilarious! May offend some people but it is difficult to teach a class about evolution without offending religious individuals. I highly recommend his classes, but if you're religious with no sense of humour, his class is not for you. Definitely one of my favourite profs!

JERK! So basically he said on the first day, in my first class at university, if you hold any value to any religion what so ever aside from the theory of evolution, you will fail his class. I did ok and I happen to hold a lot of value to my religion. As far as tests go he is sooo random and unfair about unrelated topics to the course.

AMAZING! Absolutely incredible professor. I wanted to go to class and was sad when lecture was over. Most interesting professor you will ever have. You NEED to take evolutionary psychology with him, it will change you forever.

Hanky was amazing. Blunt, direct, and gave effective examples that made the class really interesting! Loved him.

A lot of other posters are coming on here saying he`s `disrespectful`, but he covered that on like the third day of class when he discussed the conditions for knowledge instead of just belief, and the scientific method. He talks REAL talk. No astrology, no superstition, just science. Mad respect to this man.

He is smart funny and the reason I get up in the morning for class. He says things multiple times in unboring ways to drive the point across so you understand and get high marks. This class is also educational of life's many questions. Very Interesting. I'd recommend IMMEDIATELY! Snipe it quick before other people figure it out.

I thought he was really interesting and made it worth going to lecture although you mainly have to read the textbook. They were funny if you went to class in a good mood. I got tired of the inappropriate comments pretty fast though.

Straight up the best professor I've ever had. He is passionate about what he does and one of the most interesting lecturers I've had the privilege of listening to. I've heard rumours that his controversial lecture content has led to his forced retirement, but I so hope this is not true. It would be a huge loss for the university.

Hank Davis was my favourite professor throughout my whole university experience. His lectures were well thought out and his communication skills exceed those of most profs I've had. I never missed a class because his lectures were too good to miss. Because I never missed, I did well. His classes are one of my fondest memories at UoG.
