Very Nice. Pretty much all we did was a few papers. He obviously loves what he does. He loves to talk about famous essays also, fairly interesting.

Had him for Philosophy last quarter too. VERY AWSOME guy. Crazy smart about english too. Sometimes will go off on a tanget about one thing or another, but you'll learn stuff from it, unlike boring teachers =P He's nice, gives you the grade you deserve and doesn't have unreasonable expectations. You WILL come out better from one of his classes.

Very well educated in a variety of subjects. Friendly with a peaceful aura. Very deep thinker. He is also the chief negotiator. He is a lot of fun and will challenge your mind without overloading you. Has an open mind and loves debates and discussions. Very talented man. I would recommend any and every class he teaches.

Very competent instructor with a lot of interesting knowledge to relate. He does tend to get off track, and will be the first to admit it. Easy atmosphere, he's very fair. You do the work, you'll get a grade just for effort. I pulled a 4.0 in Mythology without too much trouble.

He tells you all the work you will be doing, but you never end up doing it. All we did was write 4 essays and take a final, which was an essay. Very easy. He is a crazy guy that is always off track, but very interesting. Take him for an easy 4.0.

He's an awesome professor who really cares about his students. He teaches because he loves literature and he loves to share his love of literature. If you care about literature, especially Shakespeare, take this professor's class - you'll discover a lot about litterature . . . and yourself.

hey beby, this guy has da game....cooolll and what else can be said. He teacehes teaches teaches and I learned a lot and still am taking classes whatever they be. listen to me, be happy, take his classes when you can, learn a lot, and chill out.

I took the Irish Lit course from Galmish and loved the material. The Irish writers are a lot of fun. Take this course if you like celtic stuff. You will read a lot though. Grading is fair.

Out of the 25+ teachers I have had in my life, Hank is definatly the best. Everyone gets a good grade because he teaches you how to get one.. he doesnt just GIVE them out. I love him and am re-arranging my schedule next quarter to be in his class again.

Not only one of the best teachers at GRCC, but also one of the coolest people I've met. Devoted teacher with never-ending excitement for his classes. He provides interesting information far beyond the scope of the class. Take one of his classes and you will find yourself rearranging your schedule to take another.

This guy is probably the best teacher around greenriver. He has his class in a discussion style. All you do in his class is discuss stuff you read out of the bedford reader and no quizzes. You learn alot and don't spend all day working. One final and that's it!

Awww I love his classes! He's such a kindhearted person and always so happy. Intro to Poetry always put me in a good mood. I definitely recommend taking his courses. His midterms are pretty beastly though, 17 pages on poetry...yikes, but other than that--EASY!!!

I love this guy. He reminds me of Robin Williams. I like his take on english. It isn't math - there are always style choices.

Great teacher; friendly, knowledgeable, and humorous to boot! He gives you plenty of help on your papers and there's little reason not to get a good grade from him. Accepting of nearly any type of personal writing style. Extremely patient too. If I was majoring in English, I would take any class of his that I could.

I took Intro to Poetry with Hank last quarter; few are as dedicated to their craft and to others understanding of it. A fantastic teacher and wonderful person to boot, I could sing praises of Prof. Galmish til' my face turned blue. A truly remarkable individual, you'd be foolish to pass him up.

THE BEST! Galmish is the best instructor I've had. Loves his job, and promotes self-thought. He has political and religious views, but welcomes everyone else's too ... meaning he will not grade you based on your world view. Awesome teacher, I actually looked forward to his class every day! Loved it!

Hank is so clearly in love with his job, and it makes class really fun. Textbooks aren't always required but class attendance is--everything is in the lectures. Go every day, take good notes, and answer every question on the midterm and exam essays, and you'll get a 4.0.

Very enthusiastic about the subject. Warning to those who are shy: Either be prepared for him to call on your name on a daily basis or don't take his class if you don't like talking. He'll break you of your fear of speaking in front of people by day two (from personal experience). I had no problem with his class and he was always helpful.

Hank is the BEST teach you could ask for! I took his Irish Lit class last year and it is still the best class I've had. He really cares about his classes. He does call on people often and be prepared to write a lot of papers. I'm a writer so I loved it but I think others struggled keeping up. Show up to class, write the papers and you'll pass easy.

He's a great teacher, very passionate about what he does and he makes everyone get involved. He made it super easy on us we just had to read like 500 pages so be prepared for that but its a piece of cake because he gets you interested even if you don't start off that way, I didn't.

I hate Medieval philosphy but I love listening to him lecture. Beware, he can get off onto tangents because he loves to lecture, but he made a painfully boring class very interesting. Mid term was take home and he gave you all the answers to the questions. I would highly recommend this guy for any class.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! HG is among my all time favorite college professors, he makes the subjects he teaches come alive in ways that are not commonly thought possible. His views on bridging different parts of campus are surreal and so incredibly awesome in practice (pottery with mythology!? YES!). Really glad tenure still exists for wisdom like his!

Probably one of the most inspirational men I have ever encountered in my short lifetime. He saw I was really responsive to Kate Chopin in class, and came to class with a brochure from her house-turned-museum that he went on vacation to and gave it to me. Later, he asked if I had ever read Wuthering Heights, I hadn't, so he gave me his personal copy

Hank is wonderful educator and a fantastic man. You're very lucky if you get the chance to take a class with this compassionate and brilliant professor.
