Prof. Nguyen taught us by applying what we learned from the readingsssss into actual case studies of many different real life situation. His lectures were always jam-packed with interesting concepts. He does not give exams but he requires a lot of writings. He made organizational behavior to be a very interesting topic. He expects a lot of you.
Requires A LOT of readings and writings but doesn't give exams. Very interesting and helpful, makes class interactive. Make sure he knows you in class or participation will go down since he doesn't take attendance but remembers by face. His grading criteria is different and easier, 90+ is A. Not hard to get A if you do all the work. Would recommend
A LOT of group projects and papers, but doesnt give exams. Really helpful and fairly easy if you do all the readings. 2 individual, 2 group papers, one final paper (8-15pg) doesnt take attendance but remembers faces. the workload is a lot but his grading criteria is easier, above 90 is A. Def need to put a lot of time aside for all the readings
Make sure you don't procrastinate. His grading style gets much harder as the semester moves forward as he starts to challenge the class. His expectation level for you would go from 0 to 9 by the second month. He might joke a lot with you, but he doesn't accept mediocrity (2nd lecture topic)Read!! A professor that cares for your potential success.
Accept his Harvard method way and his Wall Street mentality. Readd, analyzzzz, writeee. I never had to read, analyze, and write so much for a course at CCNY. You do those 3 and you get A. A younger Trugman always giving life advices. Crazy guy started quoting Voltaire out of thin air. Did I say you really need to read? Alot of readings from Harvard
Being from Wall Street, he's very smart and arrogant about his success in a funny way. He changes his approaches to grading and his lectures depending on how he feels the class is progressing. Be warn he randomly calls on you. Be prepared!!Must read required weeklyreadingss or not he takes points off if you can't answer. Anything else I expect an A
Prof is very accessible and approachable. Always asked you what you want to do with your future. His teaching, grading and advising are very unorthodox. One thing I got out of the OB class is to get a job it has little to do with how smart you are. He made you face reality and tell you how you are hired for your persona less your merit.
Not an easy class to get an A. Writings are do every week. He enjoyed crossing everything wrong. I wrote 5 pages and he crossed out 3 but he gave an A-. He looks for certain things make sure you know what he looks for. Theres ind. weekly 3pgs reflections, 3 midterm 5pg paper, and 1 giant group paper.
Good professor to have before I graduate. Was very helpful in giving me many life options to think about. He likes to think he's not smart but he's really smart. Be ready to read and write. Enjoy his class. He hates if you come in late so don't do that.
So far this has been my favorite professor because his method of teaching is very interactive and exciting. I learnt so much which we incur on a daily basis, in addition the lectures and readings makes you use your imagination. Very good professor, smart and very helpful. Thanks professor enjoy your new career.
a lot of readings, but helpful and interesting ones. He gives very useful life lessons, would not regret taking him. But you really need to keep up because there is a lot of work and you will get stressed if you leave till last minute. Learned more from this prof than any others. Participate in class. Extremely helpful and nice.
U should take his class if wanna learn. hes my favorite professor. Very caring always asked me about how my work is. He knew what everyone was doing outside class. very personable and caring. Very demanding prof. Very smart. Might want to think twice abt taking 2 classes with him in a term. he wants you to meet his expectation and exceed even more
Took Prof 1 of his capstone course. Struggled for me because technology wasnt my thing. He transformed a boring class into a very interesting course on strategic mgmt. I learned a grade deal and will take his moneybanking class next term. lots of readin/writing/case studies and GROUP PROJECTSSS!!!!
very professional swanky dresser. very smart. had him for 2 classes. he knows psych and mgmt. he knows alot from finance, economics, mgmt, psychology. He knows every company you asked about. great resource when i need advices.I hate reading but because of him i read so much now and enjoying it. he opens my mind to so many thoughts
very demanding expects a lot makes you to go beyond his expectations. not your average ccny prof. workload is 10x more than any prof i had. i learned a great deal with him. Remembered his 1st day lecture. he said he will try to throw everything at us and see if we can catch any he wasnt kidding when he said even the kitchen sink. be ready to read
Someone hate the prof. I was struggling the first half because i didnt get his way of teaching. i came to his office hour and he clear what i should think and do. dont know why someone hate him. each reflections he commented a lot of what i was doing wrong. participation matters so talk up in class.
As a senior you normally want easy classes to just be done, this class was not one of those. However, it was amazing! I felt challenged and like I would actually be prepared for the real world I was about to enter. Every class is filled with personal experience and great advice. The work is challenging but you feel extremely proud in the end.
I had him to cap. He's all about case studies. A lot of them. He wasnt clear on what he wants for cap. He expects us to come up with a thesis. With all the case studies reading and writing. Didnt have time. Very layback professor. At same time expects a lot. Heard he's making next semester harder. Knows a lot about coffee.
This class was great. This professor really connects "real-life" with classroom life and that meant students had a better understanding of everything he taught because it was real. He really likes participation and showing that you can connect the dots. Take him if you want a worthy challenge. You will benefit by the end of the semester.
This is not an easy A class but it's a very rewarding and fulfilling class in the long haul. You read and write a ton of papers and if you don't like to work in groups avoid this class. He's very helpful but sometimes can be inconsistent with what he truely wants from the assignments. P.S - towards the end of the class he is going to get harder
Professor Nguyen is my top two professor I had at CCNY. His requirements are beyond most business professors. A lot of reading and writing of reflections based on Harvard Business Review. He made me think. I made a mistake. You need to prioritize in his class. Take his courses if you want to learn. I gained a lot from him.
He is a smart professor you will learn a lot but it's difficult to understand that he wants because it changes. He says an A is for someone who thinks of something no one else has it's a bit on an enigma. Also if you show up late for his class more than twice you may lose a letter grade. Expect more work than most your other classes combined.
I like him a lot. At least he really wanted to teach and wanted you think beyond what book said. You will hate him like a few if you don't want to put in time to learn. Thx Prof, my first A+!!! If you do everything he wants when he wants, i am sure you will get an A. Very helpful but requires a lot, not a hard professor just very demanding
This is one of those courses where you either learn to adapt or sink into a bad grade. He will seem easy enough in the beginning but once he's gotten momentum, boy are you going to wish you had known beforehand the amount of work you'd be doing. If you're not prepared to push through and consistently put effort into your grade then don't sign up!
I have to say if I have never a fairer professor than him. He lays everything on your plate and its upto you if you can digest them or not. Read the book, do all the homework problems and test problems. He gives you the answer to them. Do all the multiple choice and memorize all the short responses cant stress it enough. Great person as well!
Really smart professor. Great man. Very caring. Act likes he doesn't care what you do. Literally do everything he asked though. His exams all came from his lectures or optional homework. Do well in the beginning because his final will make you cry. Would take him for every class but graduating. Sux! You will learn a lot about finance from him.
Learned greatly abt International Finance. He has real world experience that he applied with each topic. Book was hard to understand. He made the problem solving very easy. Warning attend his lectures and do the problem sets. Actually do all the problems from the book. Everything on exams was from his lectures. He has dried humor but very funny.
Took him at Hunter. Lectures were always interesting. He tried to be animated. Make sure you copy everything he writes. Problems he chose to solve in class were often the hardest questions on the exam. No surprises. He threw everything at you. Make sure you don't skip the lectures. He's funny but has a no nonsense attitude. Generous grader!!
Prof. Hank was great. He was not the typical prof I have had last 4 years. I felt I learned so much with him. He is by far my favorite Professor at City College. Was very inspiring!!! I can't say more. You can tell what type of professor he is when within a week, all 3 of his spring courses were already overtallied. Not an easy course or professor
He is very intimidating. One of the best professor in school! I learned a lot. If you are reading this, thank you so much for changing my outlook.
Take Prof. Nguyen if you want to learn. Don't take him if you want to sit in class and do nothing for your grade. He is the opposite of Trugman. He's deceptively easy. He also deceptively wants you to think he hates people but if you go to his three days of office hours. Just talk with him you will be surprised about yourself.
Prof. Nguyen is very inspiring. He knows his mgmt and finance. I took him for both. His grading depends on his mood the day he gives the final grade. He has a harsh syllabus in case you want to challenge his grading. In the end he's subjectively kind if you do what he wanted. Empathy is what he teaches. He's very empathetic during office hoursssss
I had him for both international finance and corporate finance and is one of the best professors ever. He genuinely cares. Do what he tells you to do. Do the homeworks, case study, the extra credit case study and study the practice final. And take really good notes in class. I learned a lot from him. A+ in int fin and A in corp fin
Hank is hard with the assignments but if you do everything he asked he will give you an A. LOTS OF WORK!!! Lot of case reading!! VERY GENEROUS GRADE. If he knows you and you show effort, he will nudge your grade.
I took Prof. Hank for his Financial Modeling seminar over the January break. WOWWWW!!! He went from how to answer a number on Excel to modeling for leverage buyout deal. He is very personal but get ready to work. I couldn't believe I learned how to model corporate finance!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! My time wasn't wasted. DO NOT SKIP ANY CLASS!!!
"It's epic!!"
Be prepared for casing. He will cold-call. Very smart and personable. His class will make you think and question yourself. Keep up the readings because by midterm and final papers, you need to use all your readings. If anything go to his office hours and talk with him, he will change your life outlook for the better.
As I graduate, I advise others to take Prof Hank Leadership course. It has changed me forever. Hank truly cares for his students. I was in a different situation and he was there for me throughout my whole ordeal. If there is anyone qualified to teach leadership it's Hank. He taught what he practiced. He has so much empathy for the students. Thanks.
A LOT OF WORK. Make sure you are ready for whats coming if you take his class because its going to be hard but you will learn a lot.
One of the greatest and caring professor Econ dept has. Seriously a lot of work and relevant work that prepares us for the real world. His courses are so different from what you typically learned. His syllabus is "only" 34 pages.I learned how to read and write a lot better because of him. If you are serious about learning, take all of his courses
Get ready to read. Do not take him if you don't want to put in the work. He has changed my outlook on how to invest. His teaching style is like someone from Wall Street. Bold, arrogant, say what he wants, no filter. I wish I started reading what he gave in the beginning. If you want to find "value" take his class. Kind grader at the end
Lesson 1: Don't procrastinate. Lesson 2: Don't procrastinate especially in Prof. Hank classes. He assigned readings without homework. Don't take that as him being easy. Everything he assigned was requirement to do the project at the end. I like that he wasn't only teaching but he was trying to change the mindset of the students.
In a few words, ready, get set, go. Read, read more, analyze, and write. Wow the readings and writings! I have never read and write this much in 4 years at ccny total. Great course in discovering myself. Take his leadership course he will change your mindset. boy the mindset.
Not your typical professor from CCNY. He makes finance so simple. Get ready to do problem sets. I took his real estate finance this summer. I wish he could have taught more of the real estate than the finance. Not his fault/ Most students didn't take finance before this class so he spent half of the course on the finance. Overall great guy.
I took his Summer Real Estate Finance and Investment course, having never taken a single Finance or Accounting course. Hank was disappointed that a majority of the class hadn't either-- but he took it in stride. He took it upon himself to teach us the basics of finance, before going into real estate. Challenging, but great professor.
I took him for corporate finance. My advice: get ready to do problem sets every week. Spend 10 hours! Midterm was so hard and long. If you study you will do well. I am 2 days from final and Im scared. He likes to do social experience on the students. Give options for taking multiple choice or solve problems. Even gave the all the questions ahead.
You learned by doing psets. Come to class and listen to him teach something different. Somehow he ties what you did at home to what he talked in class. Take every note possible. He's easy going but his exams are super hard. Very different from most CCNY professors. I like his teaching style. Was very caring in the end. Gave 3 hours of review.
Leadership course !!! Oh boy, the truth hurts. it will change your mindset. This course is definitely good for someone who is lack of experience in the real world. Give a try
With Hank, either you hate him or love him. There is no in between. Don't take him if you think you can do nothing and expect a passing grade. Do take him, if you want to learn and do his massive PSETS (10 hours a week) I did all my PSETs, got B average on exams, but he gave an A. I wish I met him early on instead of taking him in my senior year.
Took Hank's Leadership. Many weekly reading and writing assignments!! Forces me to discover my failures to help me discover my true north. Hank is anything but a typical professor. I don't want to say too much about this course. You should experience it first hand. He is very inspiring and compassionate in this course. Thanks for waking me up.
Not often you randomly picked a course to fill your schedule and it was the course and professor that changed your life forever, Hank's Leadership was that. If you take this course seriously, I meant read and study everything and come visit Hank in his office on a weekly basis, you will discover how great you could be. Not your avg CCNY course
Hank is neither easy or hard. He seems easy and approachable yet his psets and exams are very hard and time-consuming. He is very flexible depending on how strong the class is. He expects a lot yet he will slow down the schedule and doesn't force the materials into you. At the end, he is very kind with the final grade if you did all his PSETS.
Hank is the definition of a GREAT professor! Never in my life has someone been such an inspiration! He is intelligent, caring and knows how to actually teach!!! The material however is hard!!! But if you put in the work and show effort he will meet you more than half way!! Hes so compassionate although at times he can seem intimidating.
Hank thinks he can come and expects every student to adapt to his way of teaching and grading. One of his PSETs had 80 problems. Each problem has a, b, c, d, e and even f parts. This was due in a week. Huh. His grading scheme is so complicated. Read his massive syllabus word for word before you start his class. At the end, I was bruised but alive.
Many here has mentioned - either you do well in his class or you fail. TRUE! There is really no middle ground with Hank. His exams were so hard. His final was hard but it was easy because he went over most of the questions. How can anyone fail an exam if he went over it? On you to do well. To his future online CorpFin students, GOOD LUCK! U R BRAVE
Prospect Theory? He was teaching this throughout the course. He tested this topic in the worst way. He used it to test our decisions on how we wanted the exams to look like. He lets you vote. What is the catch? Open-notes exam so awesome, NOT. Choice of multiple choice or short answers for final was awesome. What a kind man, NOT!know your gain-loss.
Get ready to put in hours of work. Imagine your average class at city, now multiple that by 5 classes of work. Do not think that enough. His exams were so hard. You need to do the work or there is no way for passing. Exams were tied to PSETs. He is kind at the end if you did the PSETs. If you do not do the psets, get ready to receive a C or F.
Hank is a GPA dropper. You get what you deserve. When taking his class, make sure you can manage your other courses. His assignments are very time-consuming. Not a class you can take lightly. Have to be on top of everything. In the end, your grade depends on how you did against your classmates. Warning advisory, don't take 2 courses with Hank.
Professor Hank is one of the few professors who really cares for your well-being and future. He will challenge you left right up down. You have to do work. My paper that he returned to me was like a war zone. He crossed so much out and wrote so much feedback. He let you resubmit for a better grade. He changed my life with the leadership class.
I respect Prof Hank so much. He brought a new way of teaching that I have never seen. I wished I had him in my freshman years. He inspires you to give it all. I love his deep understanding of the world and how it relates to me. He made me cried in his office in a good way because now I realized my mistakes and how I can achieve. He is greatness.
I never had Hank as a professor. I seek him out. I heard scary stories of him. It was very terrifying the first time because he asked questions that no one else ever asked me before. Meeting went from 30 min to 2 hours. He really opened my mind up to the possibilities. I left confused with things I was clear and clear with things I was confused.
Even if he says he hates people, he's motivational. His lectures are amazing, but the value-added was his office hours and just talk with him. He will give as much as you need to talk with you. Make sure you book consecutive slots. Talking with him is daunting because he will subject you to think deep into stuff you never thought of before.
THE MOST CARING professor! I struggled throughout his CF class but he spent so much time making sure I got the weekly materials in his office. That's not what makes Hank special. He talked to me for hours and encouraged me to never give up. He will help you if you ask him for help. He is godly difficult in exams but a kind soul in person.
Read the syllabus word for word, seek him for office hours, be prepared to write a million essays. As cliché as it may sound, this class is a life changer. If you take Leadership seriously, you will learn an enormous amount about yourself and your peers. It will make you dig deep into what's stopping you from being a leader. This is a test of grit.
Hank is really Da man. One of the few really good economics professors who actually can teach. He is so relatable. He really is inspirational. BUT he is really cruel! He does social experiments on the class. Make sure you know the social experiment. Hank does everything with a reason. Nothing is free. Make sure you know what behavior he is testing
Prof Hank is so amazing, he literally makes you learn by yourself! So try to make yourself a good friend.
You can choose to hate him because he gives so much work. I meant massive amount of assignments. He doesn't even go over all of them but he connects your readings back to his lectures. I can vouch for the majority of the class that he has made a difference in our lives and changed our mindsets. He has helped us see our failures.
I will not tell you about this course but take Hank's Leadership class before you graduate.
I would absolutely take another class with Hank if he offered one. You have to devote a minimum of 24 hours/week to his homework, which counts, just because it involves tedious myPearson problems, which are generated by the book, not him. A former hedge fund manager, all of his lectures are really cool real world scenarios. Work hard, learn much.
Hank is very cool if you come talk with him. He really gives deep thoughtful life advices. You will learn a lot from him in class. THAT SAID - Do not take him if you do not want to spend time doing problem sets or reading and writing essays. He teaches by you doing most of the learning yourself. He will add his tidbits after you do the psets.
Summer Accounting class, only 7 weeks long. Just took a final, but cut down the lessons. Made it fun, and allowed me to finally discover what I'd like to do. Caring, inspirational, and funny as well. Talks about important things outside of classwork, and life lessons. Intellectual, respected professor. Just read, and do as many practice questions.
Don't take Hank's digital strategy class if you want an easy path to graduation. Every week we had to read 100 to 200 pages of 10 to 20 articles and do 2 to 4 case studies based on what we read. Taught nontrivial ideas and how to see things in different ways. I only had him for 3 weeks and we are already up to writing assignment 9.
Hank is the most inspirational prof I've ever had. Its been 1.5 year and half since I've graduated but I apply his teachings & things I've learned in his class to my work. At first he seemed very intimidating, but its the total opposite. He always kept an open door, if he see you work hard, he'll give you a deserving grade.
You know about Hank from reading the review. lectures are structured but he can deviate away from his agenda when students wanted to discuss other stuff. I like that Hank is flexible. His lectures are thought provoking. Paper is 50% worth. Better be smart when you take Hank's course. Do not procrastinate or waste any free time. Start right away.
Hank is the most caring professor. It was hard for me to stomach his criticism in class. It took me half of the semester to realize what he said was my failure all along. He gave me hours in his office to talk about simply my life. I really think many students in the class took advantage of him by not taking Hank seriously. their loss my gain
Hank is great!!! I don't know why students are intimidated. Do your work on time and you will be fine. You can easily guess in class by the presentation who will get and A or a C. That being said don't procrastinate as the work is abundant. His feedback is not straight but greatest lesson from class is when you say or write something, explain why??
Lots of reading. I will say, either you hate him or you love him. There is no middle ground. Those you did all of the work often get the higher grades. You will only hate him because of your insecurity or lack of work. He is painfully a great professor. Do not take him if you think you often leave until the last minute to do the work.
Hank is a finance professor but he could really teach digital marketing. He taught everything from business strategy to omni to psychology of marketing. Really smart guy. He didn't teach the tactics but the strategy. Just do all the work but if you want an A make sure you know what he wants to see in your paper. It's painfully simple.
The most caring professor in the dept if you care to do his work. My friends told me never to take any of Hank' for anything. I would have continued to be ignorant if I listened to them. His values are his deep thought provoking lectures (sometimes viewed as offensive because of our insecurity or lack of true north).I cried in his office like many.
Hank isn't hard but the best professor. Taught strategy, model, platform design, omni, & the economics and psychology of consumer behavior. It's up to you to do his work. Don't take Hank if you don't like to learn, read and write. That is why students hate about him. He wanted you to be a competitive student. In office hr, I learned my potential
Quality guy I would give him a 5 if he could get the assignments back faster. Took him too long to give feedbacks but I get it. He had 100 students in 3 classes doing papers. I got my assignment graded when I bothered him in office hours. He would spend two hours with me. I don't see why others complain about his workload. It's manageable.
I was proud to receive a B+ in his Adv Financial Eco and graduated. He changed my perspectives of how the world, economy and market work. His class is very easy yet it's super hard. Easy because he doesn't give work. Super hard because at the end you have to pitch to your investments thesis. Your grade depends on how well you defend the thesis.
Teaches irrelevant materials from the test. Not the best teacher. Avoid him if you can.
CorpFin with Hank was pure pain and suffering. PSETs were 10 hours a week. I made it out with an A-. You should not take any of his classes if you think you will learn anything from him. You pretty much do the PSETs before he even teaches the topic. His lectures have nothing to do with the text but more what the text does not teach.
He is very helpful if you need extra help with study. He is an inspiration instructor.
Recommend taking this Professor, very knowledgable and respected. The summer session is not a joke. If you slack or even for a second and think you can coast a week you will fail the final. Do the problem sets in the book, write down everything that is written on the board and make sure you never miss a class.
Don't expect an easy A. He makes you work for your grade. He DOES NOT tolerate cheating and somehow figures out who cheats and who doesn't!! So if you want a good grade, just read the textbook. Even if you barely show up to class, you can get an A in his class if you're on top of your reading. His lectures are still a complete waste of time though.
Avoid him. Won't learn anything in his class. Doesn't follow syllabus and you won't know updated syllabus changes unless you go to his office hours. Do not take him. Ask your peers
Hank's leadership course is scary. He made you see the worst in you. His lectures are thought provoking if you want to listen to his message and useless if you choose not to listen. He held your grade hostage unless you see him in his office. For me, he showed me the worst of me and my potentials if I want to get there. It's up to you to decide.
Prof. Hank unlike many CCNY professors is tough in a good way. If you want a good grade in his class he has to know your name and the easiest way to do that is not to be lazy and go to his office even if it is just for 15 minutes. Be prepared to redo a lot of your work if you give it to him to proofread though.
Got an A, but didn't learn anything. Didn't read the books either and barely went to class. As long as you go to his office hours and asked him 1000 questions about his life you got a good grade
Leadership was about me. It was up to me to read and analyze all of the books he mentioned. If you don't want to learn through reading and thinking, Hank would be the worst. He will let you see the worst in you. If you come to talk with him about your problems he will guide you. I got an A- because I neglected to do certain assignments.
Learned a lot from Hank's leadership class. This was a class i really enjoyed going to at the end of the day and it didn't even bother me that i was getting home late. He really makes you realize who you are as a person. Grades fairly, didn't do the work so i deserved what i got. I take full responsibility on that. But other than that great class.
I took Prof Nguyen's Technology Strategy when he first taught at City. Even though I didn't get high grade, he has changed my life for good. Over the years, I kept taps on me. I ran into financial troubles. I don't know anyone who would spend 4 hours on multiple Sundays helping me sort out my financial problems. He is a blessing for my family.
By far one of the best classes Ive taken at CCNY. For the ones worried about which class to choose for their next semester, Ive been in your shoes, take this class. Honest feedback, interesting readings, class discussions are great, and professor is available for office hours. Reasonable and fair. A+.
Hank is the most controversial and popular profs in CCNY. You either love or hate Hank. You have to be consistent, and work hard for a good grade. His class can change your life for the better. If you have any financial problems, go to him. ALOT OF PAPERS. The class fits "survival of the fittest" because many people couldn't handle his workload.5/5
He was always there when I needed to talk with him. He talked with me for 4 hours in his office. I think he's the only prof at CCNY that would do that. The leadership class was intellectually painful. Each thing he said it was like him throwing darts at me. He threw reality in your face. His weekly emails to the class often made me cried.
His money & banking class was an eye-opener. I like that he took 15 to 30 minutes of lecture to explain the situations that affect current monetary policy how they connected to the text. He always fielded questions about the complexity and break it down into pieces to make it simpler to understand. His T/F final was anything but easy. Study!!!
1st, I wish I took Hank's class earlier. I would have been more prepared for him. Students that hate him are the ones that never do the work. He gives you PSETs that he will never teach. You need to self-teach yourself. His class was all about drilling you about your regional market. You need to come to lecture prepared or not he will crucify you.
Taking Corporate Finance with Hank is "fire and flame". Fire because PSETs took 4-6 hours a day to do. Flame was his exam was so hard. I average 98 on the those tough PSETs and I got a 70 on the exam. He explained stuff really well and the PSETs really helped but the exam wa just in another world. I needed to study even more for the next 2 quizzes.
I recommend you take finance with Prof Hank. He is the far the best. He answered every questions and even asked to make sure what he said made sense. His lectures were inspirational and had taught me to think very differently about investments and finance. He is straight and demanding but if you follow what he demands you would do well.
This was a summer online class in accounting. It was like: Get Ready, get set, go!! Don't walk but run. Don't slow down or stare up into the sky. The professor taught well but the PSETs! After you were done with one PSET, he already posted 3 more. They were due each other day. His lectures were good. What was great was when he ranted his wisdom.
I survived! That's all I could say. Corporate finance with Hank was really like "survival of the fittest". Your ability to adapt to Hank's workload immediately once class starts and to the end. Hank is deceivingly kind and lay back. Don't let that fool you. He is very demanding and his expectations are extreme. Hank is a 1-of-a-kind Professor!
Took this class in the summer. had to withdraw it. He does teach well. However, he is quite inconsiderate. Hegives lots of case analysis, quiz (not MCQ), and project even in a summer class. would have taken it if it was fall or spring class. But he sees this class same whether its summer course, or not. There is DUE every day even in saturday.
Very strange binary reviews on him. Clearly being established, well-respected, and with a long positive track record both in his professional life and as a professor, he teaches career preparatory material. If the issue is wanting an easy A please consider taking a course to fulfill that objective. You earn what you put in+ that's life preparatory.
I'm an alum and took most of Hank's classes. His classes had lots of ambiguity because you have to think on your own. He will give you all his time if you want to learn. He challenged you beyond your limits. Many hate him because they were not ready to face him. I went from a jobless vet to having a career because he helped me confront my fears.
I took this professor for his money then his corp fin. He taught me more about life and investing than course materials. I followed his investment advice. I paid off my tuition and still had profit. The materials were densely hard. He made every lecture very relatable because of his worldly knowledge. Follow his advice and you will be better off.
Material wasn't hard. Had to learn a lot outside the classroom. Professor isn't clear during lectures and goes off topic to talk about his own life that has nothing to do with lesson.
