Great teacher. He is funny and personable. Teaches english with passion. Keep this teacher, infact demand that he recieves a raise. His class is a pleasure to attend.

Very smart and very funny. His class was very entertaining. He quotes poetry from time to time. Pissed that I can't fit another of his classes into my schedule. Highly recommended!

Mr Keithley is the coolest!! He has a sweet personality, is funny, and you can tell he enjoys what he does. Just don't be late!! That's so rude!!

I thought he was very clear in his expectations and made writting the papers very easy, whichis good cause I suck at papers. He had a pretty easy grading system and if you wrote anything at all you pretty much passed the paper. He very rarely asks for re-writes.

I loved my 102 class, I had a really heavy course load to begin with and Hank was totally understanding about due dates. He was approachable and I thought he made the subject fun. (Which for english isn't that easy to do) Would recommend him in a heartbeat!

I LOVED this class. I took it online, and his discussion prompts were thought-provoking and he was active in the discussions. He's obviously passionate about the topic (British Lit). If I had the room in my schedule, I would SO take another one of his classes.

You will not be disappointed if you take one of Dr. Keithley's classes! He's an great teacher with an awesome personality. Plus, I actually learned something about literature from the guy! (He's also easy on the eyes if you know what I mean...)

nOT nice if you miss over 3 classes

I've had him for two ENH classes, but only online. So all based on online classes - he's a really nice guy, really lenient on work. The one thing he tends to do is disapear for a while, comes back and cancels assignments because he's behind on his work, which is odd but I'm not complaining.

Excellent Prof. Makes ENG interesting & fun. He cares about the students & is very helpful. Be on time for class & do the few easy homework assignments and you will do fine.

Professor Keithley is great! Had him for online winter ENG102 intersession course. Fair grader and offers a lot of very useful feedback and is very willing to help you succeed in his class. If you have to take ENG102, get his class. Very worth it!

I really liked his class. I took his class Fall 06 and actually met my fiance in the class! We wrote a paper together on euthanasia and Hank said that we worked extreemly well together in writing the paper, hehe, little did he know we were dating! He will get an invite to the wedding as an honored guest. :)Awesome teacher,his class changed my life.

Great, straight forward teacher. Always let us leave early. No BS. Intereting and entertaining. I hated the debate assignment but everything else was appropriate.

I took this class online fall semester and I must say he is an excellent teacher. He gives you all the tools you need to succeed in a reasonable time line. Stay on top of the work and you will get an A. He formats the papers to easily fill the minimums.

Professor Keithley was anything but difficult this past semester. I think anyone who would say otherwise wasn?t willing to put forth the effort on their papers. He was willing to read early drafts and allowed us to revise and resubmit our work if needed. I would definitely recommend taking his class.

Professor Hank is a great instructor, when I left the class I was more confident about writing and explaining my thoughts, he grades rather hard, but it is for the best.

Took the online winter class, got an A, but it was really hard! I had to write 24 pages in 3 weeks! Because the course is so short and online, he can't offer any real feedback. You read one chapter on how to write, then read a bunch more and write about them, so not much real learning. Only take winter online if you have a good grasp of English.

Such a great teacher. I did sort of an online class but got to see him during his office hours. He is very helpful and will answer any questions. His feedback on all of the papers are really helpful and the assignments are really easy. I'd recommend him to anyone!

Dr hank was very helpful with any question or problem I had. He was willing to work with me to help me understand, and that encouraged me to work my best. I recommend him.

Had him for winter online ENG 101 and took him again for summer online ENG 102. While it wasn't as fast paced, the assignments were more difficult. Get ready for a lot of reading and writing of scholarly journal articles. I think I ended up reading 25 in a day or two. Don't procrastinate or underestimate the assignments, but he is fair and helpful.

I would def rec this teacher. When you need help understanding something, have questions or anything, he is quick to respond and is VERY reasonable.

Dr. Hank is the way to go for any online english class. There is plenty of time to get your work done, and the writing assignments must be the minimum required to meet school criteria. You can pick your own topics, and actually learn how to write effective arguments. He is a little slow on grading papers, but he does have hundreds of students.

I took the winter intercession ENG 101. Dr. Hank was awesome to work with! He was quick to address questions, and gave very constructive feedback. The flexibility he provided us as students to choose what portions of the course material to use in our work was great. The work load was rigorous, but possible. He made sure to remind us of deadlines.

I took Dr. Hanks Eng 102 class, and it wasnt to bad. He can be pretty confusing when he explains assignments. It seems like he explains them in the most difficult way to sound more intelligent. Anyways, I got an A in the class, just pay attention and do the work and you'll get the same grade :]

He is THE WAY TO GO for an online english course!!!! It is VERY manageable with just a few papers and minimal, easy discussions here and there. If you study how each paper is supposed to be written, you will get a good grade!!!! I HIGHLY recommend him, this has been my favorite online course ever!! You also get to pick your own topics for papers.

Hank is the best teacher to take for English 102. There are 4 writing assignments, but he gives plenty of time to finish them. Most of his papers have required amount of pages to write, but if you fit all requirements into paper, he doesn't take points off for length. He explains everything very clearly and always offers help! Take his class!

Hank prompts very interesting discussions and very much enjoys student input and involvement. He was very helpful in his criticism, I wish I had taken his 101/102 classes because of that. I learned a lot!

I knew that writing wasn't so easy but by the end of the class, I realized that it's something that can be learned and Hank helped me improve my writing skills. There isn't too much work but there are major projects and class discussions to participate in.

Great class, he loves Defoe, so if you do a powerpoint and use Defoe, you are guaranteed a good grade. He is very helpful with any problems you may have during the semester.

Amazing teacher! Very helpful when I needed him and responded quickly via email. I've never been that great at English courses but he made it quite easy. Took online and as long as you do what he asks for each assignment you'll pass.

I took the hybrid 102, and Hank is AMAZING. Probably one of the best professors I've had at MCC. He emails back within a day on questions you have, and is very specific on what he wants you to do. First English class that doesn't give you a bunch of papers to waste your time.

He is so nice and friendly! You use the book a few times but not endlessly. He is very forward on what he wants... I took this as a hybrid class and loved it!!!

I absolutely loved this course, and this teacher. It was a lot of reading, but all of it was interesting. Class participation is a must (even online). There are a lot of books. You may get just get through by going to the library and doing your work for the module there. (Hey, free internet, with peace & quiet. win-win) Attendanceparticipation.

I had him for Mythology as well as ENG 200 in class last semester. You do a lot of reading in his classes but they aren't boring, they are books that have been used in classrooms for many, many years. I took him 2 semesters in a row because as long as you do the work, you will pass with an A. He gives wonderful feedback and helps any way he can.

Took this class online over the summer and it was very straight forward. I wouldn't say easy but basically he has 5 moduals and you can work ahead as much as you want. Great feedback and fair with his grading , this was one of my first online classes and his lay out was Very clear and structured. He emaisl you back within the day and is very helpfu

Avail yourself of an excellent professor. Dr. Hank is one of the brightest, and most interesting man, I have ever met. I would take his class for fun, they are fun. You will leave with a better understanding of literature.

There's only 5 plays you cover, after which you do term applications and reflection papers for each. The final exam is an essay, but by the time you reach the end of the semester, he's prepared you enough that it's easy. Great professor, gives good feedback and fairly easy to get and stay on his good side. Make sure you read the modules if online.

Awesome, supportive teacher. Very clear with his assignments and grading expectations. Is totally willing to help when needed. Funny and makes the content easy to understand. Definitely be ready for group work and presentations- but it's no sweat.

I took an online humanities course with Dr. Keithley. He rocks! His opinions surrounding the different topics for our class were very interesting and well put together. He is a very knowledgeable professor who seems like he actually cares! I am on the last two weeks of this course, and so far have a 100% in his class. Put forth the effort, easy A.

I took this class for my last HUM credit & it was extremely easy. I recommend to take this online & during summer if possible. 4 Reflections (one a week) based off the reading & 2 discussions a week. He gives great feedback & grades pretty quick. Just do the work & it's an easy A. He gives 100% on all discussion board assignments.

Dr. Hank is a great professor. I am taking his Hum 250 class online and I love it. The material is very interesting and he is specific with his expectations of students. I highly reccommend this man as a professor!

This class was pretty easy. There is a book and you read a few chapters or do a few writing exercises when assigned. Hank does everything on canvas. Class is usually lectures and little exercises-homework you can usually finish in class. Its not hard to get an A. Show up and do the work. Its easy people!

Hank is an amazing professor. I was apprehensive about taking ENG102 because I'm not the best writer, but he provides easy to follow instructions with every writing assignment. In class, there was some group interaction, as well as a group project, so be prepared to work with your classmates. Show up to class, do the work, and you'll get an A.

I took ENG 101 & 102 in a compressed time frame online. Dr. Keithley gave clear expectations & graded accordingly. If you email late at night he is likely to respond faster, I think he is a night owl. Participate in the discussions, do the work and it is an easy A. The big projects were self paced up until the deadline. I would take him again.

I had Keithley for ENG102 and he had a good amount of assignments, mostly discussions, but there are 3 major assignments which are pretty easy(annotated bibliography, 5 page essay, reflection). He took a while to get back with grades but he's an easy grader so I didn't really mind lol Would definitely recommend:)

Dr. Hank is an awesome teacher! He has a great personality and it shines through the way he converses online and the assignments he gives. He gives such helpful feedback and truly wants to see his students succeed. By far, the best teacher I have had since starting college. :)

Best English class Ive ever taken. Took this class over winter intersession, 4 weeks. I was a little worried that it would be too much over break. But honestly it was easy, you just have to put in the work. I was always allowed to work ahead which made it easy. There was 10 discussion post, 3 essays to write. Book required and lots of reading.

Be prepared to read and don't skip out on class discussions. I took the summer online class and did just fine. If you stay on top of assignments and your reading assignments you will pass. This instructor is not a tough grader and wants his students to be successful.

This class required lots of reading but the assignments were highly organized and easy to follow. His feedback was very rational and concise. The discussions in the class were professional and inspirational. Learning about the Pyramids and Mesopotamia, Egypt, Greece, Rome were participatory rather than just textbook knowledge. Tough but clear.

Super easy class, everyone can get an A. Ten discussions and three Mla essays, three pages each. Only negative is if you are an over achiever you may find essay point deductions without a rubric annoying. Hank is easy going and grades and responds to questions quickly. I took ENG102 online and ENG200 on-campus with Hank. Due to COVID-19, ENG200 was converted to online, but he did a good job at it. He even offered two modified schedules to let us students have a voice in where it should go. He is a great professor in both environments! Very kind and funny. Reasonable amount of homework and writing.

Discussion board posts were super easy; just say if an argument was effective or not and why. The main points were in the writing projects. Pick a topic that can be used through four projects. Online school library was helpful in finding sources and topicscheck it out when looking for a topic. Not a lot of helpful feedback, but whatever.

This is the second of his classes I've taken, and he continues to be my favorite professor. He seems like he actually cares. There were a lot of papers and he took forever to grade them, but we covered topics well and he doesn't grade harshly. I would definitely recommend taking his classes. A lot of reading, but worth it.

Hank is extremely kind and friendly. He does get behind on grading often which can drive me crazy but I went out of my way to take his Mythology class when I found out he taught it. He's passionate about what he teaches and you can feed off that energy. He's fun to listen to when he does lectures as well. I recommend taking his class!

Four papers and two bibliographies, with a few random assignments along the way. So easy and simple for an English class! Very understanding and helpful when you need it. Loved this class and would 100% take it again.

I really enjoyed taking British lit with Dr. Hank. He was very kind and understanding throughout the semester. His lectures were very detailed and I gained a lot of information from them. I really enjoyed this class and professor overall! I liked how he let us pick what to do for our own Capstone projects too.

He is very patient and understanding of his students. Lectures are engaging and fun, and everyone gets a chance to have answers to questions. He is readily available outside of class except for with emails. He may take a while to respond but will get back to you.

Professor Hank Keithley is possibly the nicest professor I have ever had. I dreaded taking ENG102 but it turned out to be quite simple. He is happy to answer any questions and responds to emails promptly. I did his class online and would recommend it to anyone who wants to save time

Didn't come into this class thinking I cared about the material but Dr. Keithley proved otherwise. He has a passion for what he does and always provided helpful foreword on his assignments. I enjoyed his class very much. He might take a while to reply to emails but talk to him, it'll pay off.

Dr. Hank is a very kind and knowledgeable professor. I took this class online, so it was accelerated. There was a paper every week as well as two discussion posts. The prompts always require you to think outside the box. This was definitely not my favorite class, but if imaginative thinking is your strong suit, you will love this class.

While Hank may look scary, he's definitely a great and understanding professor. When it came to reviewing rough drafts, he was honest and told us what's missing and what needs to be tweaked. His lectures were detailed and gave us the opportunity to jump in and say something that is related to the lesson (if we were comfortable to).

I had Hank for ENG101 and currently have him for ENG102. He is such an amazing teacher and has always been great at understanding that times can be tough. He is clear in what his expectations are and the assignments are fairly easy. He is so kind and good at communicating. If I could recommend any professor to have a class with, Hank is the one!

Just started college, and I'm so glad I ended up randomly picking this bald guy. Genuinely he's hilarious, caring, understanding, and I've participated so much in his class with lectures. I've only done roughly 4 discussion boards, and 2 total essays, and a letter. He is genuinely amazing, I REALLY advise taking his class.

I liked this online class. Usually had a quiz and/or discussion every week. There were 4 essays and 1 final project. There were lots of readings or videos some weeks, so need to plan accordingly. Overall, easy class and easy grader.
