Love Hannale!!! No final exam or term paper. Tests were easy if you paid attention, very helpful, and she is very funny. Talks about Blind Date and other odd things. Every instructor should be like her. Taker her course, you won't regret it!!

She was an awesome teacher, the notes are all you need to take to do good on the tests... which are straight forward, just write looong answers so she knows you know what your talking about. She's really funny and likes to joke around alot, so speak up just not when she's talking, or she'll get mad!

Very very laid back. If you want structure this isn't for you. Things go way off topic really fast, but it keeps the class fun and interesting. Its like highschool. Her tests, she marks easy, just remember to write as much as possible. Go Fishing with lots of bait and your bound to get marks :)

wow the couple bad ratings are totally wrong, hannelle is a great prof, she cares about her students, and wants you to do well, her class isn't about making the tests difficault, but she watns you to get an understanding of the material, i think the last person who wrote that is a little up tight and has no sence of humor.

I've rated her before,but just to clarify,hanelle's classes will appeal primarily to people who are easygoing,have a sense of humour,and enjoy classes that aren't totally structured. She doesn't make learning a pain, and that throws some people off b/c they expect college to be all work and no play. I had fun but learned a lot too. EASY MARKS!!!

Hanelle Jantti is the best prof I have ever had. She makes the class so much fun and tells us her own expierences so it makes things more interesting. She doesn't use the textbook but it's definitly benificial. Her tests aren't hard but if you don't know the material it could become a little difficult. Overall she's an awesome prof!

She is a classic "earth mother" as she cares about and is interested in people. She has so much heart for people and readily shares her "life experience" to help students. She has a very unique style of delivering lecture material. She engages students with her awesome sense of humour. This class is extremely easy but you do need to study.

this class is exrtreamly easy there is no essays no midterm or final all quizzes and all of the quizzes are t or f so its really really easy, if u attend class u age going to get at least a b but probably higher. she is fun and extreamly easygoin. IF U WANT A GREAT MARK IN AN EASY CLASS TAKE THIS TEACHER!!!

Took the condensed class. Her tests were all true and false questions, with occassionally a few short answers. Overall I highly recommend taking her, because she's easy!

she is so easy, but she actually knows what shes talking about, she almost has a phd, and has knowledge, i loved her classes took her for multiple ones.college is about good grades, and a good gpa, along the way u wanna learn things, but really are the classical schools of crim important no, but that A in my transcript is, so take her...

She is extremely easy. There was no big exams whatsoever, just true/false tests that were basically free grades. Even so, she still somehow manages to teach efficiently. I loved coming to her class and she seemed to love having her students there.

Best teacher by far at douglas. Interesting, halarious, makes class a blast. You actually learn something. If your taking a crim class make sure you take it with Hannele.

so what if she doesnt give us midterm/final.We R nonetheless tested on all the material given in her notes.. Her lectures R organized&informative.She makes u feel comfortable in class by talking about her everyday experiences.This helps those students including myself who have trouble speaking up&voicinng there opinion in class. AWESOME PROF!

ive had this prof many times before, she says she will use the txt she never does, its good to read to get more info, lectures are interesting and she makes the class fun unlike some profs, tests are easy, usually multiple choice and she will tell you whats on the quiz or exam, great teacher and great class, highly suggested

Really nice and amusing. midterm was easy. she told us what was on it plus it was open book. no final as well. quizes every second week. mostly t/f. if she gives you a short answer she tells you what the question is. she's pretty laid back. fun teacher. great gpa booster!

Classes ended early but covered what was needed. No final exam for this course but a bunch of Test/Quizzes every few weeks which were multiple choice and easy. I see too many people saying the course is easy and all that but but yet there were kids who didnt even get a B.Its easy if you take the notes and you actually read them.

Always on time and well organized. Only one class cancelled during the semester. Tests were relatively easy as long as you reviewed her powerpoint notes. Minimal textbook use. Engaging prof who has a passion for her subject. Awesome control of the class. She never gets pushed around by students but maintains a really friendly atmosphere. Recommend!

I love her, DO NOT BUY THE TEXTBOOK. everything is from the class notes. DO NOT miss a class, she is funny and helpful. Ms. Jantti would like for you to get a good grade. 6 quizzes, 1 mid term and NO PAPER. what is not to love.

At first I thought that she would be strict and a hard marker, but she isn't. She is very kind and understanding. She will try to adjust to you when you write slow when taking down notes. Her quizzes are mostly MC but her tests are both MC & short answers. Don't worry when you study her notes you will get a high mark. No textbook; uses powerpoint.

One of the best teachers everr ... seriously a GPA booster..

If you do the work, she will give you a good grade. If you answer questions correctly she has no problem in giving you full marks. I took the course because reviews said she was easy and I think that its true because of her clarity of instructions. But no marks are awarded for just being there, you still have to do the work to pass the class!

Awesome, incredible teacher! I would take her classes over and over again. She was super helpful, would always slow down for those who needed it and was very understanding. Her tests were multiple choice and short answer but as long as you paid attention to the slides and videos it was straightforward.

I really enjoyed her class. We never had an exam or mid term we just had a quiz once a week. she is super entertaining, I can't remember ever having a boring class it became a class I really looked forward to going to. she doesn't post her lectures online but she makes sure you have enough time to write everything down before moving on.

Hannale is by far the best professor I have encountered. This was my third class I took with her, the other two were Criminology 1100/1150; in both classes I received an A. She wants all her students to do well and works with the class to see what bests fits them and herself. Is humorous, lenient, and understanding! Her classes are a GPA booster!

Hannele is such a nice, inspirational teacher. She knows how to keep her class interesting (better than Oprah) and is great at relating class topics to current examples. She gives clear outlines, the book isnt used, but USE HER PPT. NOTES (doesn't post it ) Quizzes aren't hard if you read over her notes and outline. She is always willing to help!

Honestly, unless you show up to class and copy the notes (she does NOT post notes online), you'll do great. I actually studied and got an A, and she actually wants you to participate in class. Such an amazing attitude and always wanting to make sure you succeed. If I could, I would take her for all my classes.. I ACTUALLY learned so much from her!!

One of the best profs at Douglas. She is so clear about what she expects from her students. There are a total of 6 quizes and 1 written assignment. No midterms and no finals. She makes class so entertaining and interesting and her notes are super clear. Dont skip her class, because her quizes are all strictly from her notes! She is truly a gem.

Hannale is easily one of the best profs at Douglas College. She's kind, caring and passionate about what she does. She teaches in a super fair way; grade is based on quizzes with T/F and short answer. Textbook is always completely unnecessary. I love this woman and would take all my classes with her if I could.

Even when students ask questions, she always do her best to help them. She understand the difficulty of international students who speak English as second language. If I can get a chance to take her class again, I won't hesitate to do so.

Hannale is the best instructor I ever had at Douglas college. She is an amazing teacher and a good human being. She cares about her student. If you have any kinds of problem-related to your course she will be always there to help you. I loved attending her classes as I was never bored by her lectures. I received A- in both CRIM1100 and 1150.

she is an awesome teacher. No surprise tests, even the test she takes tells about it in detail (how to prepare it, what topics are coming even which question she is going to put in exam). she just concentrates on hand written material, she do not gives printed handouts. i would prefer to take her again.

she is great. tests are easy if you study, no trick questions. very caring and lectures are interesting enough that you actually pay attention. she is amazing she deserves a 5 on here. doesnt make students stay the entire 3 hours, shes able to teach her content within a short time and students are still able to comprehend the content. just amazing.

She is a very hilarious prof. There are a few tests but usually its all T/F. There are no textbooks required, so you need to pay attention in class and take good notes to pass this course.

I took her CRIM 1150 class and I've never had a teacher be more straightforward with the content of the class. She also lets students know EXACTLY what is on a test so there are no surprises and you'll be basically a 100% ready.

I took Crim 1150 online with Hannele and couldn't be more happier with my choice. She is super sweet and understanding. During the semester, I never felt the need to not attend her zoom because the whole atmosphere of her zoom classes was easy going and fun. Grade is based off 6 tests that are very clear and straightforward. Absolutely love her!

Hands down my favourite prof.

She was really kind and respectful, and her course made you feel extremely safe and at comfortable. If you want an easy A, take her introductory crim class, it wasn't difficult at all. We didn't even need to use a textbook because she explained everything so well in her classes and notes. She needs to teach second year classes again.
