Amazing professor. He is the best professor I've ever had. Harb is very kind and thoughtful; he genuinely cares about all of his students. He is happy to help you outside of class if you need it, and he will love you if you participate in class. The passion he has for his field is enthralling and inspiring. I hope to work with him again one day.

Harb was great even though we were thrown into online learning over zoom. His lectures were interesting but we were only graded on 4 things so watch out. If you do the reading and research for the essays, you'll be fine. Check for grammar issues. Sometimes doesn't answer questions and says to find the information ourselves, but overall a good prof.

I see a ton of good reviews, but I dont know if something changed online. This guy gives zero feedback, and he marks. SO. HARD. No cap. I had 95+ in English for all of high school, and Im just taking this class for a program. This man is giving everyone in the class <80. Expectations are extremely unclear, especially since there is no feedback.

ENGL 135 online with Harb has been one of the most confusing courses Ive taken. The class is completely asynchronous making it very hard to grasp concepts. There are an insane amount of tasks and assignments (12), some easy some hard for which the instructions are very confusing. On top, there is a final essay AND exam, both very hard and long.

Genuinely confused by the number of good reviews. Probably one of the worst classes I have ever taken. He provides no clear grading criteria and gives no feedback on assignments. Based on the lack of expectations and feedback, the way he marks is so hard and unfair. Would not recommend this prof if you're just trying to get a decent grade.

I took his class in first semester of my first year. A solid first year class, not too much reading and his literature choices are interesting and engaging. However he can give minimal feedback. I definitely feel like the course would have been even better in person. He is super passionate and likes to hear his students opinions!

Gives the worst feedback that wont help u improve on your next papers. He only fixes grammatical errors. On my final paper I only had 2 errors listed and I asked him why I received a 75% he said "its more to do with the fundamentals, I do that marking in my head". He wouldn't even verbalize that structural feedback when I specifically asked for it

Terrible feedback, rants on and on, overall nice guy but you won't improve as a writer taking his class. I went to office hours to get feedback on my paper and he would say things like "Oh it's about the structure of your paper", but gave no examples or critique when asked to expand. Super frustrating

This guy is very cool! You can see he has a passion for the subject in his lectures, using memories and stories from his past to make lecture relevant topics more memorable to the listeners. He is a very kind and understanding person and I highly suggest him at a prof!

I took ATWP 135 online, asynchronously over the summer and Dr. Sanghara was a great professor! We had interesting/engaging assignments and he was responsive outside of class time. The only things I didn't love were that we only had 2 days to complete the course portfolio and that his assignment feedback was minimal. Overall, a good prof & course!

For the time I had him as my prof before his sudden passing last month, he was so caring to all his students and gave me extremely solid advice for my research paper that I will forever hold to aid me throughout my degree. He will be missed dearly and anyone who had him as a prof would have been very lucky. Rest in peace, Harb.
