She tells you the class is hard.....listen to her, IT IS HARD!!...she doens have an attendance policy, and has her notes in the library fo ryou to copy...in class she basically reads her notes....exams are m/c and kinda tough, sometimes very detailed..
Reads her notes only. Rarely teaches. Will help students she's familiar with.Very little extra credit,Her classes are difficult and if you lag behind for a moment you will not recover. Little or no Q and A.
She is a nice instructor but you have to work hard for every grade you get in her class. She does not bend back on anything, so put your study hat on at all times.
Very nice lady. She makes an effort to remember names even though she has a class of over 50 people. Her exams are fare. She has a lot of information to cover and she does a good job at it. You have to attend class and pay attention to do well in the class. great extra credit assignments.
This course is very challenging;however, Mrs. Tresham prepares you for the exams. Due to the nature of this course, you must study to well.

She's a very nice lady, but her exams are hard and sometimes its not mentioned in the lecture. But she os fair though.
Great prof. She is not hard, but the nature of the material itself is - very detailed and difficult. She provides her lecture notes to students; tells you exactly how to study; creates useful chapter objectives. LISTEN when she says you MUST study almost every day for these two classes. To do well, U must go to class - attendance is not taken.
She is a good teacher, but the material consists of A LOT of STUDYING. If u dont study u will not do good in this class. You have to really want to understand the body system, if u dont this will not be a good class for u. I change my major because I realize i was not interested in the body like I thought i was. Good Luck! I dropped her class.
Mrs. Tresham is a very difficult teacher, she does not try to help you and when you have a question she gets an attitude as if she is frustrated with you. I received a B out of this class. I think you tries to make a difficult subject much more difficult. Do not take her class unless you have no other choice.
Very knowledgable! She knows her stuff...you really have to study to do great in exams, which were mostly fair. Her class will make you know Anatomy, and that is helpful especially if you will be taking Pathophysiology. Her class helped me understand Anatomy and I got an A, also got an A in Patho. Her class was a huge help!
The class is more difficult than needs to be. For 1 credit hr., get over it.
AWFUL! I am having to re-take this class because of her. Lectures are very very boring and the test are very very HARD! She is rude and not willing to help you if you are in need of it, so do NOT take her!!
very hard. lectures are extremely boring. she actually almost fell asleep during one of her own lectures. tests are made of very detailed quesitons and hard. She has no attendance policy and there is a reason why.
Come on people! Do you think Anatomy is suppost to be a breeze? Mrs. Tresham was a lot better than some of the other professors. She really knows her stuff, and wants everyone else to know it. Her tests were hard, but she gives a lot of bonus points. I never opened the book and I came out with an A. Know her study guides and you'll do fine.
Prof T made me enjoy human anatomny more than I expected. Though her test were tricky at times, if you came to class everyday and studied, there is no reason why one wouldn't do well in her class. Compared to other professors ( i fear) she's been awesome! And her lectures are NOT boring. You can tell, despite teaching this for 25+ yrs,she enjoys it
UUUGGGH! That is the first uttering that comes to mind when I think about this professor - terrible lectures, ridiculous tests and and horrible personality to boot...
I studied my butt off and got a C. Test are Very hard. Alot of material!! No attendance policy though. Be prepared to devote your life to A&P. Don't really need book (except for diagrams), just her typed notes. Does posts grades online :) Personality resembles a wall. I took her for Lab too, very helpful in Lab, But VERY hard class...whoa!
She makes the obvious complicated. Wont tell you what you need to study, "it can be over anything in the notes book or what we talked about" Be prepared to know 500 plus facts and only 100 will be on the test. Some of the questions are from her notes some are just random. Very boring, dont know anyone in the class who thought it was easy.
Tresham makes everything very clear. Her notes are extremel helpful and she goes over important things several times to make sure everyone understands. NO, she does not have a geat personality but she does know waht she is talking about and makes complicated things simple.I am taking her again for A&P II
Mrs. Tresham knows her stuff. Ask her anything. Her tests were difficult even if you studied -- BUT -- she gave enough extra credit to make up for the ones you missed. She also gave extra points for attendance in lab. It could mean the difference between an A and a B. Those who study and regularly attend class will be happy with their grade.
HORRIABLE, do not take her if you can. For older students not good she teaches towards younger students. Use her notes and then the book. Don't waste time going from chapter to chapter yourself. I loved A&P before her but I won't give up. She will tell you she has taught for over 30 yrs and she expects and talk to u as such.
The class is ridiculously hard! Spend most of my time studying for this class and still got a C. Anatomy is supposed to be difficult but this was insane. Lectures are useless, she just reads out of her packet. Nice professor but EXTREMELY BORING! Avoid for lecture at all costs!
Had her for lecture. She's a good teacher. the only thing I found hard was the true / false questions on tests. Study, use your logic and watch out for those. Overall, she's very clear of what she teaches and test you on.
Tresham is a good teacher. The key to passing the lab is just plain hard studying. The tests are hard only because there is no multiple choice, you have to know what you are looking at. I actually didn't mind Tresham for BIO 2221L, I made an A in the class, but I did study my butt off. Studying is key! I am taking her again for BIO 2222L
She's really hard, she can be mean as well.
Lab - i loved her she is amazing if you dont get it she will stand with you until you get it. showed you what you needed to know on the slides and was a lot of fun and nice =] i would recommend taking her class as well because yo get the information in lab a lot better if you have her for class as well..... LOVED HER!!!!
The class is hard but after you take her, you will know your stuff!! Respect her and she will respect you. What you make in the class, is what you get. She will not add points to save your grade, so work hard! It will pay off. Will help you if you need it, but you have to go to her. Don't expect her to ask you. Have heard her lec. is harder than la
Had her for lab. Fairly easy, but took lots of studying. Gives studyguide that provides you with number of questions per subject on test. Can get median "B's" on tests, attend all classes (including extra credit one), and still get an A in the class. Very knowledgable about material. Will be taking her for 2222L.
She is a good professor. I had her for lab and lecture. In lab she was helpful, it is just a class that you have to study alot for, but an A is def possible. And for lecture if you study efficiently you will do fine! I dont know why people think she is tough, she makes it as easy as she possibly can. Easy to get a B a little more studying and get a
She's ok. It really seems like there's too much material squeezed into 1 class. And it seems like she forgets what education-level most students are at. Her pre-typed notes are useful, but sometimes she leaves out key words or phrases that can completely change the meaning of the information, which is confusing. You REALLY need to study hours a day
I just had to post this because I am shocked that she does not have better ratings! She is an excellent professor, I got a B in her class without trying my hardest..I could have made an A if I tried harder. I think she is extremely clear on what she expects and tells you what you need to know for tests. Good Professor!
You buy her notes which has study objectives, study these & you'll do well on tests.I never opened the book & got an A!Gives take home quizzes.Very smart woman.Posts unlabeled diagrams on Vista which you need to know for tests, & posts diagrams that are in book. Her notes are extremely helpful!attendance not mandatory.but she's monotone
HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE!! tests are extremely difficult and too detailed. Lectures are boring and she has NO personality at all. Hated this class but took her because I had no other chioce.Should have listened to others when they said NOT to take her, She teaches as if we are all already nurses and doctors. Just NO.
This class was terrible! This class is so hard that when everyone takes the test we all walk out and say WTF! Too detailed...she words the questions funny so its like every question is a trick question. This class was so bad that I am leaving Kennesaw because only her and 2 or 3 other teacher lecture this class so your choices are very limited.
I had Prof. Tresham for two semesters. She is very nice, and sometimes funny. Her tests are HARD. I studied a lot for each test and made C's my first semester with her and B's my second. Come to class and her lectures are helpful, she is a good teacher and very knowledgeable. But, like I said, tests are hard!
Knows her stuff and so will you after this class. GO TO CLASS. Attendance not mandatory but sure does help. Test are hard so be sure you've really studied & understand because otherwise you will not do well. Plus test are 90% of your grade so one bad test will ruin your grade and she will not adjust for that. I was literally 1 point from a B.
I had her for summer semester lab and lecture. For lecture she gives helpful diagrams online and practice tests. You can buy her packet of notes from the bookstore. I used the textbook mainly for pictures. Gives bonus project at end of semester. It took all I had to make an A in lecture! Lab was challenging.. I got a B.
This is a tough class no matter who you take it with. You HAVE to study. She has notes you can buy in the bookstore which is great since she talks fast. She's sarcastic which is the humor I like. Print the diagrams from online, at least skim the book, read her notes, do the objectives and you should do well. I got an A no problem.
Read the chapters. Take advantage of the supplemental online program. It has video, test quizzes and exams. This is a very tough class as it requires lots of memorization. There are also flash cards that you can purchase in the bookstore that may help. Mrs. T is very knowledgeable but tends to move very quickly.
From the start, she is heavily involved with the book. You have to answer all the study questions she gives you and put your own information in it. Her tests seem easy when you take them, but your grade shows that you didn't know what she was talking about. Easy to approach but you need to spend 4 hours a day studying to get an A. Not worth it!
Mrs. T is an amazing woman. She may appear to be tough, but that is just her demeanor. She is very helpful with anything you need. Welcomes office hours and really cares for her students. I had her for 2221 & 2222 and recommend her with highest regards. The class is tough-prepare to spend enough time studying (like any other class). Enjoy!
Took her for lab. It's mandatory to attend. Class isn't hard. Make sure you study ALL the time because exams are ridiculous. You have 20 stations, 4 or 5 questions per station and only 2 minutes per station. I wouldn't recommend her ever!!!
Mrs. T knows her stuff and will help you learn if you do your part. Don't get behind and use your lab time wisely.
Treshman is the tough one, but you really learn your stuff and it sticks with you. Do the objectives and pay close attention to all the diagrams, they will be on the test exactly.Lots of T F questions and best of the following answers. All multiple choice test. Gives chance for extra credit to be added to FINAL grade, very helpful!!
Mrs. T is an alright professor, but if you are a student who asks lots of questions and have a hard time understanding things just through simple lecture, then take another professor. All she ever does is give you lecture notes and read through them during classtime, she doesn't really seem to have much knowledge on A&P. I had an MD for A&PI and go
The material is tough regardless of the instructor so be prepared to study. She knows her stuff- pay attention and take good notes. Having her for A & P gave me an advantage in pathophys and other nursing classes because you have to learn to think critically and logically on her tests. She is very helpful if you put forth the effort.
Teaches in-depth & applies concepts to real life situations. Getting a B is possible w/ attendance & studying. She provides you w/ her own set of notes which helps with lecture & studying. She is very clear about what you need to know for the tests. Grades fairly. Always willing to answer questions and help eliminate confusion. Highly recommended!
Tough professor, alot of material & mainly up to you to learn it all. Her lectures are really helpful to understanding the material. Exams are hard, but just do the objectives & study her notes. YOU will learn the material, which will benefit you later when other students took another prof & forgot it all or don't understand the physiology properly
Tests are lots of logical & critical thinking, so you truly have to understand the material. This only helps you though in other courses &real life situations (nursing students). Made A's just by attending lecture, do her objectives & quick review week before exam. A&P is hard no matter the prof, but at least you leave understanding everything!
Great teacher. If you put in effort and go to her for help, she will be there for you. Explained directions clearly and grading criteria was laid out at the beginning of the semester. She is hard, but willing to help if you ask.
Hard class with any prof, but Mrs. T knows her stuff. GO TO CLASS, it's essential to passing, but must also use her pre-written notes and the textbook or you are sunk. She gives you the tools, you must USE THEM or fail. I am taking 2222 from her too, and will learn a TON more.
Took Tresham for lecture and lab. Attendance is mandatory for lab, not lecture. Pay attention, take notes, and study hard to make an A. I made a B in lab and an A in lecture. Tells it like it is, but can go on rants from time to time about students that do poorly. Great teaching method and technique.
Mrs. T really knows what she is talking about. The key is going to class and paying attention (although it may be hard sometimes). Complete her objectives with every piece of info that you have and make sure you know them before the test. I made an A in both lecture and lab. If you really want to learn A&P take her!!
To be honest, I didn't really read the textbook for most of the class, but I still made an A. Most of everything she teaches is in the notes, which you need to read. I really liked her.
There is no doubt as to her expertise & honesty about the pace of the class and the challenging volume of material. The organization of her lecture notes versus the text was frustrating & confusing. It's twice the material to digest and assimilate. Learning objectives are numerous & detailed. Do not take this course in 8 week summer semester!
This class isn't overly hard, there's just a lot of information to digest. I think she did an excellent job teaching - she's extremely passionate and knowledgeable and continually relates the material to present research. There's a possible 5% e/c available. You need to study every day for a few hours to make an easy A. Tests are very reasonable.
She's an okay professor. I feel like she expected you to teach yourself. Labs were done on your own for the most part. She speaks very quietly, so try to sit as close to her as possible. Just know your stuff, study, and you can make an A.
Mrs. Tresham is an amazing professor!!! If you go to class and READ her notes with your class notes, you will be perfectly fine. She knows her stuff. I truly enjoyed her and thought this was easier than A&P I
AVOID FOR A&P 2. She makes tests ridiculously hard. She's not easy as most claim. She speaks quietly and is so boring to listen to. She's truly a nice lady, but expects you to know every little unimportant detail. She doesn't curve, even though 0 people made an A on lab midterm. Her notes are helpful but not as in depth as exams.
Definitely possible to make an A in this class. I thought her tests outlined the notes and objectives almost exactly. I thought this course as significantly easier than A&P 1 as well. Boring lecturer, but she knows literally everything about A&P.
Had her for both A&P I and II lectures and labs. This class is tough and requires a lot of time if you want an A, but it is possible. Lecture tests come from her notes and Ch. Objectives. Read her notes and use book for better understanding of some topics. She knows her stuff, and if you really want to learn A&P take Tresham.
She knows her stuff, seems rude sometimes but I guess that's who she is. Has notes she goes by that you buy at the bookstore. tells you whats on the test including diagrams to study. posts practice questions and all the required diagrams for your benefit. if you study like youre supposed to, you'll learn alot and get a good grade.
A&P lab is much harder than lecture. That being said, she did what she could to help ease us through it. I believe she is the most knowledgeable of all the anatomy professors at KSU though sometimes she assumes we know more than we do. It is difficult to hear her speak because she is so quiet. I would recommend for lab, but maybe not lecture.
Mrs.Tresham is very intelligent, BUT completely condescending. She is smart, but she lets you know it! She is very unhelpful, rude, and just doesn't seem to care about her students at all. Lab courses are challenging and you will want to have a professor that you feel comfortable asking questions. She makes you feel stupid for asking for help.
Professor Tresham is a very smart lady, but I would prefer someone who is more approachable and helpful even if he/she is not as smart. She was willing to answer questions, but seemed very condescending. I don't think she means to be though. I just felt like she expected us all to fail, and that made an intimidating course even harder.
I've had Tresham for both A&P 1&2 labs and lectures. She's an awesome professor. She tells you what you need to know, and is willing to answer any questions. Her tests are always fair. She can be witty at times, but I've never known her to be condescending. If you read, and study like you're supposed to her class is a breeze.
I had Tresham for both lecture and lab. Her tests were difficult, but if you study her notes verbatim then you can easily pull out an A. She also gives a lot of bonus. I would definitely recommend taking her. Just make sure you take the time to study in advance and not a couple days before the test.
Very smart, very knowledgeable, but kind of intimidating. She is very helpful and makes it very clear what you need to know and what you can kind of skip while studying. Its a lot of information to try to learn in the summer, but she's been super helpful so far. She gives bonus check offs that have definitely helped my grade. Would take her again
Not an easy class, even during the summer. 4 tests (one being a comprehensive final) & two mini assignments. She's fair and will help you, and gives a few bonus pts. Copy of her notes already made; she uses that through lecture. It is possible to make an A, but GO TO CLASS, use the book and STUDY HER NOTES, do the objectives, and form a study group.
She makes you work for your grade. If you are not a whiz kid, you will probably make a B in the class because it A LOT of information. Would NOT recommend taking this class with any other science classes ie) chem., bio, organic
She lectures A LOT. Most of the class you are just listening to her, so if you can't keep up bring a recorder. Her notes can be confusing, so I always reread it in th book. Be prepared to work really hard, but an A is not impossible.
Use her notes as a study guide. I barely went to class, but watching videos on all the sections of the notes better prepared me for her exams than going to class. Her exams are fair, and for the final cumulative exam, she even gave bonus pts! Be very thankful for that because that's the only extra pts. you're gonna get.
Probably one of the best A&P professors at Kennesaw. She's been there a long time and knows what she's doing. Use her notes to study and watch crash course youtube videos to help put things in simpler terms. She really does everything she can to help you pass. You just have to put in the work. She's a great lab professor too and really teaches you.
My only complaint is she has a tendency to be snippymoody sometimes. A&P itself is labor and time intensive, but it is very doable. Tests fair and straightforward. Come to class, know her notes, and an A is very feasible. Tests come from the notes, but read the book to fully comprehend. Always a little extra credit. I would recommend.
She's the worst prof I've ever had, and I'm a junior. I'm not saying this bc my grade is bad, bc it's actually good. Just not a fan of her. She speaks too quickly during lectures. Won't slow down, so don't ask. She's rude. Tests arent only from the notes like people have claimed, so read. Only 6-15 people make A's on tests out of 160+ students.
Very knowledgeable instructor and easy to follow. Is a tough grader but this is college folks, expect to work for your grade. If you have questions she is approachable and will get you to the answer. You will get more education from her than another instructor. I would take her again.
This class was a wake-up call. More than half of the class failed, but that's because of the content. Tresham provides specific notes and her lectures are very helpful. She's probably the best professor you could take for A and P. Good luck, and remember to study hard.
NURSING MAJORS, this professor is a MUST TAKE. You will absolutely hate her while in her class, but this class prepares you for the course-load in nursing classes. 1st test, only a few people made As and the avg grades for each test usually fall around a C. Don't stress if you do bad on 1st test, you will learn how she tests/grades. Txtbk/lec heavy
Seriously if you are a nursing major this woman is the bomb. Even if you aren't a nursing major she is the bomb. Pathophysiology after taking her class was a breeze! Study her lectures, she really knows whats up and you'll do fine, BUT you definitely have to study your butt off for her exams. Her lectures are provided and are ridiculously useful.
I had her for both lecture & lab. She's great and gives good feedback. I often had questions from lecture that i'd ask during lab & she was more than happy to go over the notes I had. You can even get bonus points for attending all the labs at the end! Lab wasn't a breeze, but making a good grade isn't impossible with great instruction!
I wrote the rating below and entered the wrong course number. If you're taking A&P 2, take lab with her as well!
Awesome professor!! The class itself is really hard, but Ms. Tresham does her best to help the students prepare for the tests. The tests are super long, but that helps you in the long run. She provides VERY detailed notes. Would take again.
Take her while you can because she's retiring soon! What I have to say is wow- Mrs Tresham knows her stuff. She is an expert in a+p and basically lectures straight from her head the whole class. She is amazing. Her tests can definitely be tricky but you will learn a whole lot from this woman. She has notes that are very helpful to narrow info down
she is great! gives tips and pointers and she cares, she knows her stuff, explains things well, and is straightforward and won't take any shenanigans. you have to work hard and study a lot to do well but she gives you lots of helpful materials
For a course that is already difficult, Tresham does not make it any easier. Although she says she is available to meet for you to look over her tests, she discourages it time and time again. If it is possible to have a professor that is too smart, it would be Tresham. This makes her lectures long and hard to follow. Read the text & her notes.
This was so hard. I never knew what would be important for the test and what wouldn't be. She has weird test formats with all mixtures of question types, and they're pretty long. She's very strict and doesn't get very specific in lectures. You have to do A LOT of work on your own to even get a mediocre grade.
I would avoid taking her at all cost. Her lectures are very hard to follow, she doesn't really explain well whats going to be on the tests, the tests are extremely difficult. She doesn't make an an effort to ensure her students are understanding the material. GO TO CLASS! Its hard enough to pass by going but not going isn't in the plan.
Very difficult material. Tests come from a combination of her notes, study objectives, and the textbook. You basically have to memorize the textbook if you plan to make a good grade in this class. Plan on spending hours studying for her tests. She doesn't have much patience for her students, and seems to be in a bad mood most of the time.
I loved Professor Tresham, and her grading criteria is extremely clear! As long as you know/ memorize her notes and the required diagrams, this class will be an easy A. I took 6 classes along with this class and made a 97. So as long as you pay attention, go to class, and study her notes, you will be fine!
I took her lab as a summer class, so maybe it's easier during the regular school year. She doesn't teach, at all. She does say at the beginning that the class is self taught but she literally doesn't do anything. She doesn't let you know what will be on the tests like the other lab professors she only says what chapters, which isn't helpful at all.
I really liked having her as a teacher! For her labs, they are pretty much self-taught which is fine with me since you really just have to be able to identify things and know the function of them. Its still a hard class! You only have 2 lab practicals, and then an attendance and participation grade for 15%.
Harriett Tresham is by far the most rude, unfrofessional teacher I have ever had. She does not care about you or the grade you get. If you raise your hand to ask a question, be prepared to get belittled by her. She moves extremely fast over hard concepts, and spends a long time on easier ones. Just be prepared to put in that much more work. Awful.
Tresham is by far the worst professor I've ever had. She DOES NOT teach. She spends the class telling you everything you DON'T need to know. She never answers any questions. There are 3 Exams and 1 cumulative final. Literally study everyday if you want to do well. Majority of this class is self teaching so be prepared and be warned.
if you have the chance, TAKE HER! unlike other professors, who just teach by power point, she teaches by her own notes. This really clarifies what is going to be on the test. I have made A's on all the test, just by looking at her notes. She is a little condescending if you ask questions but its fine if that doesn't bother you
She's not an overly sweet person, but she gives you the tools you need to succeed. Be prepared to study A LOT, but if you know her notes like the back of your hand and really understand them, you should be fine. I was taking 5 other classes (including O chem), and I was so drained all the time, so don't take a bunch of hard classes with this.
Great teacher. Take her. She demands respect, but she does not mind helping her students reach success. She always answers emails and questions. She has years of knowledge. Take her. Work hard and get an A. FOLLOW HER NOTES, SLEEP, EAT, and BREATHE them
This course is a hard course already. Her lectures are very long and she just reads off her notes. Be prepared to READ her notes 30 times a day!!! Be prepared to study all the time, and not have a social life! Her tests are very long, and be aware of the tricky questions. Her diagrams are straight forward and are easy points.
Grade is made up of 3 practicals and attendance/effort. So show up, that's an easy 100. She is a nice lady who seems harsh because of how blunt and honest she is. She made us aware of how difficult lab is. She gives you all the resources you'll need for lab. It's self taught, but she'll help you if you ask. Do all the extra credit she offers.
