One of the most passionate professors you will find! Asynchronous class. Homework are quizzes you can keep retaking until you end up with a score you are satisfied with and will provide you the correct answers after the first attempt. A lot of questions tho and the midterm was 100 questions. Every single question came from the homeworks.

Everything was asynchronous. He tried to make accounting not sound boring. This class is work heavy. Hes very flexible. You can take the quizzes repeatedly and he counts the highest score. The only thing is that theyre kind of long and taking them multiple times gets tiring. Other than that, hes good.

HW & Quiz due on Sundays but super easy all questions come from the lectures. You can repeat quizzes until you get 100 & HW will take a few points off for repeating but EASY. Lectures may seem boring but he is to the point & they go quick. Final & midterm worth less than HW & Quiz, questions are exact from the quizzes. TAKE HIM for an easy A.

Lectures posted each week never more than 3 or 4 at a time & they vary in length (4 minute - 1 hour). Quiz for each lecture but follow word for word, HW for chapter due 1 week after the quizzes for lectures are due making it easy. You need to get the textbook for online HW, but you will never read it unless you want to master the class. EASY A

I just finished Professor Davis' last video lecture and I'm crying, man. I love this dude so much. I imagine the feeling is akin to leaving a loving family for college; I really don't want to leave Davis' class. He's truly the best professor in Baruch, full stop. His lectures are so amazing and entertaining. I wish he taught other ACC courses.

Davis is a so great professor. We can feel the passion from him when he teaches the lessons and the energetic passion from his attitude to live. Professor Davis is also a romantic person. In his beginning of the introduction lecture, you also can enjoy the piano music too. All in all, be lucky one to learn from him.

Prof. Davis is an exceptional professor and is highly respected by many. I took his Advance Financial Acctg course 20+ years ago and of all the college courses I have taken, I felt his course best prepared me for the accounting profession. As a sign of respect to Prof Davis, interviewers who are familiar with Baruch always ask if I took his course.

I do not typically rate my professors, but I had to for Professor Davis. Although his lectures are long, he is hilarious and I honestly enjoyed watching them. The class is asynchronous so you do have to dedicate a few hours of your day to the class or else you will fall behind. 100% recommend!!

Best prof i've taken during my whole year at baruch. Tips: -i never read the book, watch his videos as many time until u get it - if class is taken online responds to the posts(u'll understand what i mean by that when u take him), he gives extra credit for that -the exams are the SAME questions as the quizzes you submit every week He's HILARIOUS!

At first I wasnt sure what to expect with this course since Ive heard from a lot of people it was going to be difficult. However Im glad I ended up taking Harry Davis, hes a very nice professor with a great sense of humor. The quizzes and homeworks were not at all hard and I definitely recommend taking him!

Watching lectures + doing hw/quizzes take very long, so make you reserve a full day to do them. Hws are tedious. Exams basically quizzes so very easy. Just do them over and over until it's stuck in your head. Post questions on Discussion Board (can't email him unless personal Q's). Don't need textbook at all (everything in lecture videos).

Professor Davis is really one of a kind. Staying up to date on the lectures is essential - there is typically weekly work assigned, but not anything that will make you tear your hair out. The lectures are the same as a typical synchronous class, so nothing crazy there. Simply do the work, watch the lectures, and it you'll learn while getting an A.

If you need ACC during this semester, TAKE this class. Put some time towards this class and you'll receive an easy A. Test aren't counted heavily in this class! Get 100s or 90s in the hw and quizzes, and you'll be fine.

It's an easy A if you are willing to watch the lectures and do the quizzes and homework. Lectures are very clear and you can re-do the quizzes as many times as you want, only the highest grade count. The exams are hard, 100 to 200 questions in one hour but only count a small portion. If the quizzes and homework got over 90, you will be good.

In this asynchronous class, your success is determined by the amount of work you're willing to put in. If you're willing to watch every lecture he gives out, do every single lecture quiz (which you can do repeatedly at no penalty to get a 100), do every homework (12 for the semester), and read the textbook here and there, you are guaranteed an A.

Easy A. Quizzes and Homework in Connect. For quizzes, you have unlimited attempts to get 100. For homework, it takes points off from the second attempt. But dont worry. You still get 94 in your second attempt. Professor Davis only uses the highest score. He is funny and enthusiastic to teach students. Its my honor to be his student.

Really great Professor! I took him online, and it was super easy. Lectures were a bit long sometimes, but he does a good job keeping them engaging. Quizzes were also a bit annoying, but again they weren't hard. At best, this is an easy A. At worst, it requires some time every week. All things considered, I'd recommend taking his class.

If you plan to major in accounting or finance I strongly suggest you take Davis' class as the lectures are well explained and the information taught is essential.

He is an amazing Professor. If you have the chance to take him then do. He made accounting 2101 at Baruch College very easy. Even though it was an online class it was easier to handle than other classes. He gives you a whole week to do homework and quizzes. The best part is he gives you immediate feedback and makes sure you are onto of things.

Professor Davis is an instructor you must take if you can. He is understanding, clear, and easy to reach. I had him in an asynchronis Acc class and he made this difficult class a breeze.

Had him asynchronously and would take him again! Quizzes, hws, and exams are all on connect and he explains everything very clearly. The video lectures he posts on blackboard are very helpful!

Do your homework and quizzes and youll get an A. You can find the answers to the quizzes online if Im being honest. Class is recorded and asynchronous there is no zoom. Its work but busy work. He is a very fair teacher.

Professor Davis is the best professor I ever had, he gives you updates on your grades every week which most professors don't. The class is assignment-heavy, exams are only a small part of the grade. His lectures are explained well and have humor in it. He is super sweet, the only professor who leaves a thank u note after completing the evaluation.

Literally a free class with this professor. Your grade is made up of mostly homework assignments and you have unlimited attempts on them. Homework is every week and sometimes can be heavy, but as I said, you have unlimited attempts and the questions are not difficult. There is also one midterm and one final exam.

He is a professor with clear grading criteria laid down. He can give your GPA a boost with A, but you need to work for it. homeworks and quizes are based on lectures and textbook chapters. every week you have homework and quizzes to complete by Sunday, recitation class didn't happen which wasn't a big deal. sent out weekly emails to keep you updated on your progress. midterm and final consisted of questions from the quizzes so make sure you have it all in one doc, helps a lot with studying :). Harry Davis is honestly one of the best professors I ever had. There is no better accounting professor. Being in his class made learning the basics entertaining. I actually learned from his async lectures. He lets you take quizzes as many times as you want and will take the highest grade. Tests aren't difficult. You won't regret being in his class

Overall, a very good professor. His lectures are long, but a must watch. The course can be confusing at times, but the grading criteria is clear and its easy to pass if you study well and take good notes.

Professor was understanding and caring of issues that students may have had or been affected by due to COVID, overall there's a lot of work on Connect and lectures are impossible to watch due to the annoying background music and bad dad jokes, but the work isn't too difficult and he definitely curves students' grades so they end up looking good.

Take him!!! if you do all your work on time you should have no trouble. One midterm and the final but they are not worth a big chunk of the grade.

Courses was easy in the sense where if you understood what you need to do (homework and quizzes) itll be an easy grade. Just be wary of the tests, lots of questions but it wont affect your grade greatly. If you complete all the quizzes and homework and do decent on the tests itll be an easy B at the very least. Try a bit harder and youll get A.

Grading is extremely clear: Weekly Quizzes with unlimited attempts, almost weekly hw with multiple attempts (only 10% penalty after 1st attempt, you start with 105 points), exams are similar to questions on quiz, just watch the lectures take good notes and youll do great! Occasionally you might get some extra credit and his lectures are clear

His lectures are funny! My interest only lasts when I watch on 1.6x speed though (he recommended us video speed controller) because he speaks very slowly. I love how I can take quizzes again and again with no penalty. Encouraged learning from mistakes. Homework quizzes are different and hard. Also, he forwards students all kinds of opportunities.

This class was mad easy. Assignments are on connect, you also have to do excel for Cengage, and his exams, which is also on connect. is based on the Homework on connect. And the professor is always available by emailing him.

Super lecture heavy class but the prof does his best to make it as easy as possible. A lot of hw on connect and excel projects on SAM. All durable it's just kinda work, and the midterm and final are not worth that much (10-20%), they are both hard tho so study a lot. Lastly, do all the quizzes and try to get above 95, it helps a lot tbh

His asynchronous Intro to Accounting class was great. Multiple online lectures a week which followed with quizzes on Connect. Homework is given by chapter. 1 midterm, from the quiz questions, 1 final, from the quiz questions. Easy to get an A.

EASY A! Only thing is it's a LOT of work. Midterm and final are pretty intense but they're the same as the weekly quiz questions. HW and tests are on Connect. SAM projects are also super easy. He seems intimidating but he's actually a nice guy.

He's a pretty chill professor. Like any accounting class, you have to self-learn via textbook and videos. Gives a review sheet for midterm (usually one for final, but that wasn't the case when I took him). Be sure to stay on top of things and study for the tests ahead of time (1-2 weeks) since that's the bulk of your grade and you'll do fine!

I love the sudden elevation of his voice and tone. I love his voice change. Honestly, I learned a lot from him. But he's not concise enough. People are busy in life.

The quizzes reflect the lectures. The HW on the other hand takes more time. He pre records his lectures and clearly explains everything. After deadlines, he calculates potential grades and tells us what we need to work more on. Definitely take him

Async class. For all ACC classes, you obviously have to put in more work than other classes, so ignore the other reviews of people complaining about the workload. His lectures did not help with the weekly homework, but they did w/ quizzes. 4 SAMs, 1 MID, and 1 final. Take tutoring for SAM if new to excel. He gives extra credit & curves. Easy A!

Prof. Davis is extremely proactive and has put a crazy amount of work toward making the content of this class easy to digest. There is quite a few quizzes and assignments on this class but if you won't succeed in this class with his level of care and supervision you most likely won't perform better with another professor. Very easy A one could get in an 3-credit class. This proffessor claculates what one will potentially get for the class and email it to us individually. Replies to emails within a day or the next. Asynchronous. And he's funny.

He was very responsive in emails and help-centered discussion boards on Blackboard. His lectures were hilarious at times, but some were, unfortunately, annoyingly long (but college isn't necessarily supposed to be fun, I think). The homework and quizzes are very useful. Having a notes sheet is vital (at least for me). SAM Projects were useless.

Professor Davis is dope. He makes his lectures easy to understand and makes his homework and quizzes right off of them. His syllabus is a little scary at first glance but he really just wants you to be clear about his expectations. You'll have about a quiz and a homework every week but nothing that should catch you by surprise.

He was a very understanding professor. Try to take him if you can. This was an asynchrinius class. He sent out personal emails to each of his hundreds of students every week about all their grades, their overall performance in the class, and their expected grades. Definitely the best professor I had so far. His method of teaching is what every student wishes they had, assignments are easy and you actually learn. His homeworks arent usually too bad but overall he is one of the best and easiest professors ive taken. He is always available outside of class and awards points for unfair questions on homeworks. He also gave our class (of over 1k people) a 10ish point curve to make sure anyone who was lagging was able to make up the work for an ok/good grade.

Professor Davis is the best professor in zicklin. It is an asynchronous class and this is a lot of work. He prerecords his lectures and explains the material very well. All the work is on connect, but SAM is added to overall grade later. He points out after every deadline what you are missing. Take him!

Great Professor, I learned a lot about accounting. The course was not too hard. It is asynchronous. If you do the quizzes and homework on time you'll be able to pass this class. The professor also sends out personal emails to you about your grade. Amazing professor.

This is an asynchronous class meaning that the lectures are pre-recorded and posted every week. There was a lot of homework and recorded lectures, but it helped me pass the exams. He gives a lot of extra credit opportunities and makes the exams worth a meager amount. He really wants you to do well. All in all, it's a lot to handle, but it's doable.

He gives the students a lot of homework but he is a very good teacher and the lectures are fun.

He's a great option to take for Acc 2101. While accounting is not the easiest subject to learn asynchronously, Davis gave us a lot of ways to earn extra credit. He also sent out weekly emails to each student to let them know how they were progressing in his class.

This Class is good especially considering how difficult accounting can be. Having the lectures so accessible is a big plus and makes the homework and quiz not as hard. Be prepared to put in the work in the beginning of the class so that the later parts are easier to understand.

Professor makes the most boring topics of accounting seem fun and enjoyable. He loves cracking jokes on lectures and has a unique way of teaching. Homework can be retaken unlimited times and tests are 120 MC questions but are the ones from the homework. No attendance and course is great.This professor is a must take if you are taking accounting!!

He is the greatest accounting professor at Baruch. Definitely recommend taking his classes, he is very respectful and gives an update of your grade weekly. Midterm and final are very heavy so make sure to go over the quizzes you get over and over again, however, he grades mostly based on quizzes. I'd def take his class again. 10/10

In the beginning of the semester he emailed my class to do series of "sign ups" with class codes that I realized now is for him to know that you actually read his emails and are paying attention. His class is pretty much straightforward and easy as long as you do the work which isn't complicated either.

The homeworks and quizzes are online and they're easy to complete for the most part. He wants to give you the best grade possible so the exams are only worth 25%. If you do well on the hws and quizzes you'll get at least a B+. Take him!

Wonderful professor, really wants to see you succeed. The bulk of your grade comes from homework. Keep on top of the Connect homeworks and SAM assignments and you will do very well in the course.

Professor Davis was very diligent at teaching and especially providing feedback to each of his students. He emailed regularly giving us a progress report because he really cares about you acing the course; you just have to put the effort in to complete all work conscientiously. There are a good deal of assignments on Connect. Very knowledgeable.

Professor Davis is truly one of Baruch's best Accounting professors! His grading criteria is straightforward. Quizzes have unlimited attempts so it's an easy 100. Midterm and Final have many questions but it is extremely low stakes. The only difficult part of this class is the homework but he provides ample opportunities for extra credit.

Loved his class, He makes everything clear at the beginning of the semester. Make sure you read his entire syllabus to get an understanding of what he wants from you. Async. class. Easiest A you will ever get, professor is great and genuinely wants people to get an A in the class. Doing the work early will yield you a lot of extra credit, I had multiple assignments I scored a 120 on. Great professor.

His online-asynchronous class is a hidden gem for those who work full-time and look for flexibility with learning/doing homework. Be prepared to allocate a decent amount of your time to watch his lectures and do quizzes/homework. He motivates you to stay on track with learning material & doing a homework ahead of time by giving you an extra credit.

Everybody says Harry Davis is the GOAT. And yes, they are right. Its an asynchronous class. He gave extra credit for doing homework early, he was accessible and had consistent office hrs. Take him, get that easy A to B+ (depending on how hard you try lol) and ace the class. Finally, you can fail the finals and still pass the class, which is nice.

Brilliant professor, absolutely, a gem, very well organized. Make the subject so interesting and pleasant to learn. Great lectures, full of real-life examples. Mozart helps a lot to focus on the material. Plenty of homework but doable even with full-time work. Lots of flexibility and plenty of extra points to encourage you to work.

Very easily and enjoyable class to be in. If you take the online course, it is much harder to get below an A then it is to get one. The quizzes were long but easy and so were the midterm and final. If you do the work, you can easily pass the class with above 100 as all of the assigments are given extra credit by just turning it in before its due.

The lectures are organized and come with a table of contents in the syllabus. Exams count for such a small portion of the grade that it's much less up to chance how well you do. Tricky bit to watch out for: 7% of your grade will be based on whether you understand present value calculations.

Professor Davis is a great teacher. He teaches financial accounting in the most accessible way, and it was easy to stay on top of lectures with the syllabus. He provided extra credit as an incentive to get assignments done early, which helped a lot!

No required live classes. Just do the weekly Connect assignments and you basically have an A. Extra credit is available for all the homework and quizzes so its pretty easy to get an A even with 80s on final/midterm.

You could literally never watch his videos, fail both finals and midterms, and as long as you do homework and quiz on time (for extra credit), you will pass with an A. He is the best Acc professor. Very organized Professor. I took his course during the summer term and it was asynchronous. Everything you needed to know came from the lectures he posts on blackboard. The lectures were very well presented and entertaining. If you want to do really well, submit homeworks and quizzes before the due date for extra credit. Highly recommended.

Lots of extra credit, assignments weren't bad for an accounting class. Final does not count as a big part of the grade which is super nice since you spend more time on the quizzes and hws anyway. Def take him if you can. Great experience as someone who is not good at math.

He is definitely one of the most easy professor in Baruch. There are few sam excel project from the department. This is a asynchronous class and recitation is not required attendance. He give quizzes and homework. Two exams. The most excited part is the exams are all based on the quizes and homeworks. He gives many extra credit. Easy A! Love it!

One of the best professors in Baruch College, it's surely a lot of work in his class but it's worth it, I learnt a lot. His lecture videos are fun to watch, his grading criteria is also clear and fair. Easy class if you stay on top of your work. There was an error on the exam and he offered students an option to retake the exam so the error would not hurt our grades. Very kind and caring.

Yes you will get weekly connect assignments but they are doable with time. I suggest latest you do it is Wednesday then Thursday ask for help if needed. They due sunday for full 100 or Thursday for the most extra credit. Always do the extra credit. Great lectures and is lecture heavy. Exams are straight from connect so no confusion from hw or exams

He's an amazing professor, you aren't obligated to be present at his Zoom lectures but I recommend it just to see others' questions being answered that you may have not thought of them. Also, do your homeworks and Quizzes and get good grades on them, and so you should be fine. He's also very relax and calm when explaining some problems.

Get ready to spend a lot of time in this class. It'll be worth it in the end Follow the assignments as it is in the syllabus. Just his lectures are effective in teaching accounting. If you still don't get it, ask in discussion posts which are open until the end of the semester where they provide advice and explanation of everything in the course.

Great professor, if you take him i suggest not leaving all the quizzes and assignments until the last minute because they will require calculations and they are a little time consuming.Recitations arent mandatory but if you need help or want to learn more about a certain unit you should attend them.

For quizzes, we get unlimited tries and the HW has a 10 percent deduction for each try but it's very few questions and super easy to get done. The midterm and final were the same as quiz questions literally identical so as long as you are smart with that you will have no problem. Seriously his class was a breeze. Trust me, bro.

This was an asynchronous course for me and it was by far one of the easiest. All you need to do is watch the lectures, take the quizzes and complete the hw assignments. It is important to stay on track with all the due dates. Very easy class, the midterm and final is all old quiz questions.

What a joy! Simply restores humanity in professors for me. Accounting is not the easiest class but with Professor Davis it doesn't feel so hard. His lectures are funny and he gives you multiple opportunities to get as many point possible. Just be punctual and do what your supposed to do, get that A.

Give EC for quiz, hw, and loan problems; you can do multiple attempts to get highest grade. Only for hw you get 10% deduction when you try an additional attempt. Mid+fin together is only 25% of the grade, questions similar to the quiz. Give grade calculator (excel file), weekly letters (agenda), and personalized emails of your current status.

Prof. Davis has proven to be an exceptional educator and mentor, consistently going above and beyond. He understands the importance of timely completion and multiple attempts, which is why he offers extra credit for quizzes, homework, and loan problems when submitted promptly.

Take him easy A. Yes; there are 50+ questions for the quizzes, and the hw has a lot of steps, but if you get them done early, you get a lot of EC, then you won't be worried about the midterm or final. Overall, take the class you will be fine; just know how to plan your time.

Tried out this new thing where if you are late ONE time turning in homework or quizzes, you were instantly blocked from the course and will automatically fail. Midterm and Final was just repeated questions of the weekly quizzes and homeworks. Only watched a few lectures and he played this annoying classical music in the background of all lectures

This class was pretty good in the sense that it was clear what was to be done but in a fun way especially with the lectures which simplify accounting with terms like the big bath analogy with classical music in the background. Remember to keep up with your homework/quizzes online, take tests (not the end all be all), attend class, and do your best!

Prof. Davis has maintained a perfect 5/5 rating, which speaks volumes about his teaching ability. I found ACC 2101 to be an easy A and learned a lot from him. Although the quizzes and homework can be lengthy, they are still manageable. Additionally, his instruction has helped improve my Excel skills. Overall, I highly recommend him.

Truly wonderful professor. Accounting can be very tedious and boring, but professor Davis makes it less painful. There are some heavier homeworks, but they're very helpful, and the midterms are based on those. If you ever have issues, he's very accessible and has an optional zoom meeting which is extremely helpful. Would 10/10 take him again.

A fair amount of assignments to keep you busy but what you see is what you get. There are no trick questions. Professor Davis is very down to earth, tech savvy, and fair. EASY A! he does have a lot of rules so be sure to read his syllabus carefully (its 80 pages lol). very hw heavy. hw is all on connect. he lets you do the hw as many times until you get a 100. tests are over 100 questions and only 1 hr but its completely online. he sends weekly update emails on your grades. overall i would def recommend him!

This class was online asynch, most of your grade is HW quizzes, some are really easy and some are a bit challenging. If you spend the time to do them and do decent on your final and midterm you will get an A.

You should take Davis if you're extremely good with time. There is extra credit for doing things early. You can keep retaking quizzes, but I don't recommend retaking your homework more than once because your grade will keep dropping. The lectures are entertaining, but they are also long, and they don't cover everything on the quizzes and homework.
