Hard course. But clear teaching. Sticks to the point, and writes good notes.

Boring teacher, but hey,, it's math. Math 200 was very easy. I liked the teacher because he explained well and the structure of the whole course was very fair and agreeable. Homework was very dooable.
hey guys its ..math..The prof is one of the best for it. He explains everything well...and speaks english:)
I went to the first and didn't go again. too boring.....
Is better off teaching at Dawson College!
I think he is a great teacher who explains everything very clearly. If you ask him a question he'll do his best to explain it to you.
Easiest class ever but he gives you everything you need.
i highly recommend this professor, very student friendly and understanding when you dont like math like myself.
BEST TEACHER GUYS!! IM SERIOUS.. EXPLAINS EXACTLY WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW AND DOESNT SUGAR COAT ANYTHING. TEACHES THEN DOES EXAMPLES FROM THE BOOK. YOU ABSOLUTELY CANNOT GO WRONG WITH THIS GUY!! IF YOU HAVE A QUESTION HE WILL ANSWER AT HIS BEST AND YOU WILL UNDERSTAND EVERYTHING!! NO JOKE!!!!
hes all great n stuff till u hit the final.he doesnt prepare u well at all. hes is virtually unaccessible with horrible office hours (like 5pm-530pm on fridays downtown!) unless you really get math and you can interpret his really easy examples to difficult exam questions, then take him. otherwise, theres better. hes so impersonal.
Good professor. The classes were too easy at first, but I needed a revision since I've been out of school for a while. He gives decent advice on how to solve the problems your faced with. However, the prep for the final exam could have been better. The questions in the final are much trickier than the stuff you're asked to solve in the book.
he's a good teacher, very calm and is helpful
Great prof!!! Explains really well, patient, takes his time. Teaches the concept and then does examples from the book. If you go to class & do the homework, you can't go wrong! Take him!
He is very nice teacher. Explain well either in class or office hour. Both midterms are easy. I got perfect A+ for this course.
INCREDIBLY CLEAR.Unassuming (no ego issues), nicely mannered and clearer than anyone else I have ever studied from. Makes it as easy as ... as... *sigh* easier than writing this.
Excellent teacher. His explanations are crystal clear and the organization of his classes are logical and easy to follow. He does a lot of example problems to cover every possible question you might encounter on the final. He is also very endearing and sweet! Highly recommended.
Approachable and very helpful, recommended. He clarifies the course very clearly and makes the math course easier to students, but book reading still being suggested if you want to learn more. Go with him, you won't regret
hes very .., no really hes not very . hes accyually the best math teacher I have ever met in canada so far. hes very straight covers as possible in such a unic and simple way u still need the text book however u can ask him any thing and he will welcome you any time and he won't let u go without understanding what u came for
I absolutely love this prof. If you dont understand algebra after having him you have serious problems.he explains so well and is so nice and approachable.he reminds me of my grandpa.he gives you samples of exams and goes over them in class He wants everybody to get a good grade.. as every math class theres the Math XL (Super easy) a midterm and fi
Great teacher all around. He explains things clearly and only takes the time to teach things that are needed for the exam. I felt well prepared for the final and passed the exam without much problem. Take him if you can.
To not take this teacher if he is available, is a crime. I never opened the text book or did examples from the book, and using only his notes and examples, i got an A+. Not trying to brag, he just gives you literely everything you need to know to get the A.
By far the best math teacher I've ever had. He explains things so clearly, that you instantly understand the math. If you have a hard time understanding a problem, he'll take the time to explain/solve it. You barely need the book in class; just use it at home to practice problems before the exams and you're set. Had him for 2 courses, best prof!
This prof is fantastic. he has a great sense of humor. i like when he makes mistakes and laughs at them himself. he has a nice body.big belly with slim legs. but he is super good in his field. take him.
Awesome teacher, he is so approachable and nice, and he really knows the material. He tries his hardest to make his students understand and knows his job is to help them learn. Probably one of my fav math teachers of all time, just don't expect to pass without doing the work. Highly Recommended!
Best math teachers great example very clear and open to ANY questions
Very good prof. Clear explanations and very easy exams. He makes you enjoy such an easy (and boring) course.
Take him as first choice, you won't be disappointed. Very understanding, very good knowledge of material, always willing to help and go out of his way for you. Hard course but very possible to get a good grade if you practice the questions a decent amount. He always takes the students' side, very approachable.
Love this teacher! I haven't taken a math class in over 7 years and was very afraid of not understanding the material. This teacher was extremely clear and very approachable! Take him and you won't regret it!!
Nice guy and helpful teaching.Always reply to ur email, even in Christmas!I forgot to do one of the MATHXL assignments and asked him for help, he extended my due date right away! Highly recommend!
I've always been a total idiot in everything involving digits, but this professor explained everything so well, even I understood. Best math teacher I've ever had.
This guy made me feel math is that easy!! Come on, I was bad at math before and English is my third language, but this guy made me totally understand everything and I got A+ without spending too much time on it!!!!! This guy is really really patient and give you everything you need to get high grades by the simplest way! The best teacher ever!
He isn't bad but most of the time does examples which i prefer, but not everyone seems to enjoy this type of teaching. The midterm and finals are like past exams but don't expect to get good grades if you don't study.
Get this prof, he is excellent in any kid of way, easiest A+ you will ever come across
I had to take the time to write this review for this guy because he really is one of the best math teachers I've ever had. He help built my confidence in math. I find he teaches you what you need to know in the most clear and effective way. Best of all; HIS ENGLISH IS SO CLEARRR!!
HE IS REALY VERY GOOD TEACHER, GIVE A LOT EXAMPLES.
Very clear explanation and prepare you ready for exams , at least make sure u go to the review classes. Easy marker and easy going , patient
RECOMENDED HIM!!!VERY EASY TO GET A+.
Harry is an amazing professor. He made calculus seem easy and makes it very easy to get an A+.
Great math prof. Clear explanations, lots of examples, always ready to help students and answer questions.
Cancels class often. Openly admitted that final will cover subjects that weren't part of our curriculum. Make sure to pay attention because he sometimes makes simple calculation mistakes which could mess up your notes (ex: forget a "-" in a formula)
good prof. though I was disappointed with the final. didn't go through many of the topics that were on the final throughly. (though this is mainly due to the math dept.) great teacher, clear and super friendly.
Great professor, clear, friendly. Always answers emails. Does not cancel classes often (if so, fully covers missing topics). Very approachable and always gives you tips and good recommendations for exams. You have to study and make assignments if you want a good grade. Highly recommended! Fortunately, I'll have him again as teacher next semester.
Best math prof. You can do well even if you haven't done math in years. Just PRACTICE as much as you can. He gives clear examples in class and goes through problems from the book, step by step. To do well on the final, make sure you do all the assigned problems and work through ALL the previous finals several times.
Amazing teacher, explanations in a math course will not get better then his. And if you do good in his course he is more then happy to write you a letter of recommendation
He is the best math prof I've ever had. I recommend EVERYONE to take their math course with him. Perfect English, very clear, super nice, makes u confident and gives u good grade! What else do u want?!!
He is the best math prof I've ever had. I recommend uou to take ur math course with him. Perfect English, very clear, super nice, makes u confident and gives u good grade! What else do u want?!!
He's a great guy. Explains the material very well. Very helpful.
Great professor, great man, very approachable, perfect english, fair marker, prepares you for exams. He always gives you tips in class for succeeding in exams. TAKE HIM!
He is so knowledgeable and clear. He explained problems extremely well and made sure the class understood each step of a problem before moving on. The exams were very fair.
Really really great professor. I wasn't even signed up for his lectures, i was registered for a different professor but only went to the class i was registered for once. I went to Loyola just for this teacher because his lectures were helpful, examples are precise, well chosen and clear, and allowed me to understand and work through my homework.
Great prof, does many examples on the bord and encourages students to ask questions.
For someone who's not good in math this teach is amazing. Provides many examples, explanations are clear and he encourages you to ask questions.
His lectures and explanations are very clear, plus he answers all questions no matter how trivial.
Great teacher, the course material was clear. We did a lot of practice problems in class that help me understand the concepts
Great explanations , provides many work problems , great lectures class passes fast, he is hilarious at times. I definitely recommend this professor.
An excellent teacher who is keen and dedicated and always there to help. No matter how many questions you ask he is always there to help. One of the best teacher of maths. An awesome teacher and a nice person.
Mr. Greenspan is a great prof, he always does reviews for midterms and finals. He makes things simple and easy to learn!
Great teacher!
Easy class, good professor, explains quickly at times, but he is still very clear and you should not worry about whether or not you will grasp the content. The assignments are sometimes tedious but nothing too difficult. Would recommend this prof to anyone.
He is a really good math teacher! Took him for math 208 which is an "easy" math course. What really helped was the fact that he went over past finals and he always does problems that you will found in the midterm and final! Take him! He can be funny at times lol. Go to class, solve past exams, you'll do well!!!
Great teacher! Prepares you for your midterm and final, you just have to make sure that you show up! He loves answering questions and staying after class for anyone who needs help. Would definitely recommend him for any math course.
Love him. He's the most adorable guy ever and he really knows what he's talking about. Great prof.
Awesome teacher! Would take his class again for sure!
Good dude. Nothing negative to say
I attended this teacher's class over my own assigned class. Teacher gives lots of examples, teaches a way that promotes my type of learning. Unfortunately NEW course examiner has some unreal expectations of what 208 exams should be. Not the teacher's fault.
He explains mathematical concepts very well (except for probabilities) and is clear and organized. However, he tends to go pretty fast. This year the midterm and final were much harder than usual because of the new examinator but Greenspan made sure to give us additional marks for the completion of a problem. Great teacher and super nice.
Great teacher, took him last winter for math 200 and will take him for math 203 this winter! He explains everything clearly and is accessible outside of class. Very good teacher, keep up the good work sir!
Solid math prof. Math 208 isn't all that challenging, so he moves quickly through new material and doubles back for long review sessions around mid-term and finals. He is able to gauge the understanding of the class, and slow down or speed up accordingly. Beware- the new course examiner is not nice! Not Professor's fault.
Great teacher! Had him for math 208 and he goes over every type of question and how to handle and solve everything! Dont be shy to ask questions in class he'll explain it until you get it. Great great great teacher! I didn't open my book the whole semester though, the online exercises were enough
Great professor. Cares about all students. Does a lot of past finals which is very helpful.
Great professor! You will never regret to choose his class! He explained everything very clear and care his students. Will definitely choose him again and again!
Great teacher, very smooth and collaborative. highly recommended and good luck
Absolutely take Harry Greenspan if you want an A+. I was nervous about taking Calculus but went into the final with a 98% all thanks to him. His explanations are clear and he actually makes math an interesting and fun subject!
Professor Harry was very nice. He explained very thoroughly the material. Questions were encouraged and nicely answered in his classes. He taught pretty fast the material to save time for more exam practice. However, participation was not required at all, so the lectures were sometimes a little little bit boring. Recommend him anyways!
amazing lots of exemple
Had Mr. Greenspan for MATH 208 and it was a breeze. He made class easy, explained everything, and even told us what to look out for on the final. He prepares you well, to say the least. I would just suggest looking at past finals and doing them a few times (don't just focus on your class notes). Great professor altogether.
The course is not hard at all and Harry teaches it in a way that is easy to understand. He gives a lot of examples and even does a couple of past midterms/finals to help us prepare. You can easily pass this course by attending classes and do past midterms/finals on your own.
He is nice. His lectures are clear, lots of examples. But you need pay attention in class, he often takes some small mistakes. Like, forget (-) or calculation error. Overall, he is good. I'll take it again.
He is teaching so clear, doing a lot of practices, but math 205 is toooooo hard for me
He gets confused easily, his courses don't follow any logic, just kind of aimlessly wander out. I feel he could have been a better, more attentive prof 10-20 years ago.
He's a fantastic math teacher. Attended multiple sections for MATH 209, and I have to say he's the best. Goes at the most perfect pace and takes the time to listen to students questions. All in-class exercises are from the textbook. Writes very neatly on the board and speaks clear English, which is important for a math class. Highly recommended.
Honestly, the best math teacher i have had in concordia so far. After his last lecture was over, everyone in the hall gave him a round of applause. However, for math 205, if you're aiming for an A, you have to practice and self-study a lot, but harry greenspan is definitely enough to pass!
He is very knowledgeable and demonstrates many examples for all the topics. However, it is not enough to fully master the subject. The evaluations are not complicated if you do some textbook exercises as well as the past exams which he provides.
amazing sir
Very clear and concise explanations. Take notes, pay attention in the lectures, Do and understand all the assignments and you will do well.
He is the sweetest human being ever! Whenever you need help he's there. He understands student struggles, if something is not taught in class, he won't grade/count it and give a free point instead. Very helpful, never condescending. If you do exercises from the book you can easily get 80% and higher! TAKE HIM IF YOU HAVE THE CHANCE
He's not bad. I think it's the subject that he teaches that matters...a friend had him for Math208 and loved him whereas in 209 i felt he didn't care much. He explains but just flies through expecting everyone to remember everything from the past. Make sure to pay attention and sit infront if u can. Not the worst, not the best
Pretty good overall teacher, his lectures were useful and he clearly knows what he is teaching. I believe his age is getting to him but is still a great professor! He does tend to make mistakes (so does everyone) so make sure to follow along in class and catch mistakes and CORRECT him. I would totally take him again.
He's a good professor. He writes everything on the blackboard so it makes it easy to follow. He also does a ton of examples in order for you to grasp the concept. However, sometimes he doesn't ask for questions and he goes quite quick. He answers emails very quickly which is great, and he is very approachable.
He is a great professor. He makes everything really simple and easy to understand, answers emails quickly, and is very approachable with questions. I enjoyed taking the class with him.
Where do I start so I had the pleasure to have Mr Greenspan for my math prof for 208, the first few weekends of class were decent he tends to be all over the place whenever he teaches but I gave him the benefit of the doubt due to his age. But while preparing for the midterms he was absent when it came to getting any assistance and for the finals
Up until the midterm, everything was going great. After that he started missing some material and making some mistakes (due to his age). On the final there were some questions that weren't really explained in class I emailed him & he explained that the professor writing the exam made it way too hard. I would take him again but beware of the final
Best math prof. ever! Clear lectures, lots of review sessions, and reasonable exams.
He was very well prepared before coming to class and delivered lessons in an orderly manner. He constantly reminds you of the rules when solving the questions, that's why it's so helpful attending his lectures! Since in-class time is limited, you should go through the material beforehand to be able to follow in class and learn extra exam tips.
This class is fairly easy if you work on it on your own. However if you plan on actually attending his class, I have one tip. Bring a pillow so that when you lose consciousness your head won't slam onto your desk...
He's just amazing and the best math teacher ever. He explains so well! I had him for Math208 and went to his 209 lectures, though I wasn't registered in his section, because my actual math teacher was very bad. Best decision ever! His final review sessions are aawesome, we did a complete review of the whole material with some past final samples.
He's an ok teacher but makes a lot of simple mistakes. His lectures are dreadfully boring and its hard to pay attention sometimes. The midterm was fine but i feel the final was way harder than what we covered in class, but that might just be me. I recommend taking Franco Romanelli instead if that's an option.
Passionate about his class, knows the course material like the back of his hand. Best teacher to pass the class.
This prof is the best!!! He knows the material by heart and wants to ensure the success of his students. Lectures include many examples solved from the book step by step. It's really simple... T A K E H I M!!!!!
Professor Greenspan is a very good professor. he gives all the tricks to prepare for the final exam, and his lectures are very helpful to understand the course. But don't forget, if you want to pass this class you have to study a lot and practice all kind of exams.
Professor Greenspan is a very straightforward and caring teacher that walks out of the class making sure he's taught us everything we need to know for the midterm and final. Math 209 isn't a hard class and with a teacher like him, it just gets easier. Show up to class, take notes and practice the past finals for an easy A+
Great teacher, really cares about his students. Really stood up for students rights towards the cruel administration
Attend the classes, do the recommended numbers, past exams and you will pass. He focuses on what will be on the exam, is very clear and is available outside of class. Focusing on past exams and his examples and you will get A+
He is an excellent math professor . In class, he always explains the knowledge concisely ; and then he gives us many practice problems that are very similar to the midterm and final exam Even, he is willing to give us many past midterms and final exams and each solution before exam. Choose him!Your GPA will go up!
he's the BEST teacher for math 208 and 209. Prepare you well for exams, explain everything extremely clear. Really care about his students, his lecture may not be as fun as other classes, but he's there to teach you and help you to be successful. I won't never regret taking him, and if I'd given a chance, he'll always be my choice!
Prof. Greenspan is ways more than amazing. I took his Math 209 class. He always clearly explains everything in details. Even if you are poor in math, you'll do just fine in his class. He answers every questions students may have. He also responds emails fast and detailed. I highly recommend Prof. Harry Greenspan
I had Professor Greenspan for Math209 this semester. He showed pre-recordings of the previous semester that are available online, so attendance to zoom class wasn't mandatory. Very nice teacher! Available outside class hours and explains very well. He also gives extra notes to understand the material. Would def recommend him!
He is amazing, I need to give him a rate of 10 out of 5, I got A+ because of his teaching method
Prof Greenspan explains things extremely. His speaks at the perfect pace for students to follow along and to allow the lesson to sink in properly. On more detailed topics, he reiterates his explanation a few ways so that it's easier for different people to understand. While he teaches, he ensures that you are aware of what to know for the exam.
I had MATH209 online, but Professor Greenspan posted pre-recorded lectures from previous semesters that were very well explained. We had 4 assignments that are fairly easy 100s since you are allowed all of your notes and you have 3 tries for every question. The exams and quizzes were fine if you understood the material.
Not a bad prof, just is kinda not super nice when you send emails. He explains well in his lectures though, so if you don't care about him being passive aggressive, then I would recommend.
His notes are super clear and he explains very well. I loved the fact that he posted recorded zoom lectures during covid on the Moodle site. This helped me a lot.
Explains difficult concepts really clearly with tons of examples. Posted past midterms and finals with solutions, but some of the solutions were wrong. Do the homework! Don't bother going to lecture, because he just sits there and plays prerecorded lectures from covid on the projector that he posted on Moodle anyway, so just watch them on Moodle.
Math 200 is in and of itself an easy course to help you transition into taking math 201,202,203,204 and 205. Professor Greenspan made the course easy to follow with his weekly emails to give us a clear guidelines throughout the whole semester.
My class is 100% online, so I have never dealt directly with Mr. Greenspan. He is clear in his emails of what to do for the online course. However, no assistance is provided directly from the course. You need to book 1 on 1 tutoring or go to the Math Help Center if you need help. There isn't any support from the online course itself.
He plays videos and doesnt actually teach anything. lectures are also extremely boring
Graded on just midterm and final. Tough grader but other than that he's an amazing teacher. he posts all the videos online a week before midterms/finals and tons of sample exams. Really nice guy that wants you to do well
Only shows videos in class, but posts them all which is great for review he gives plenty of samples midterms and finals, and reviews them in full detail before exams is very helpful
he might as well be retired already he just plays his prerecorded lectures in class and calls it a day, avoid this retiree at all costs!
I took math 209 online and the lectures are so dated. He was a good prof but the layout for the online class was horrible.
This lazy individual, shows up presses the spacebar and lets the video play all class, then presses the spacebar again and goes to bed at 4:30pm
He gives exercises which are helpful and the slides are very detailed. The class is not very engaging bc he just reads from the slides word by word, equation by equation, so its better if you spent the class time studying the material on your own and ask questions during his office hours.
Goes by lectures way to quick and just reads off the slides that were pre done. Better to study on your own before class that way you know that topic because learning from this guy is way too difficult. Best of luck to those taking this course
He's very quick and doesn't go through concepts throughly. You're better off studying on your own because you won't learn anything based on his speed. He just reads off slides that have already been completed. All in all just study the course on your own because you won't learn anything from him. Good luck team
He reads the entire lecture off of handwritten PDF slides... and he does that poorly. That's his whole class, so get ready to study everything by yourself. Class is pretty much useless, go to the tutorials if you want to actually understand things. If you must take him, the course is pretty doable if you are good at self studying.
People say the professor just read everything from a handwritten PDF, but honestly, that's all you need to understand the material. Plus, he's caring, always willing to answer questions, and does his best to make sure you understand when you ask.
Professor Greenspan provides clear explanations and posts helpful recorded lectures. While attendance is mandatory, you can skip class and still do well by using the online resources. unstuck AI and the textbook are great study aids for this course.
Prof. Greenspan is a very nice man. However, he covered all of the material for the whole course before the midterm, leaving me ill-prepared for both the midterm and the final. During his lectures he went over notes made by a different professor. But, he was very responsive to what the class asked for, just not the best lecturer.
Avoid him at all cost
Avoid his classes no matter what. Very tough grader and doesn't teach at all, he just reads through the slides. I had morning classes and every single time I attend his lecture I left the class very sleepy. Don't recommend him.
Don't do it, it ain't worth it.
Greenspan is not good. Only 13.48% of the class passed the final and only 23.3% passed the class in the entire section. Nice guy however just i have to no idea what happened because most understand concepts quite well
The explanations in the videos aren't always crystal clear, but the book is very helpful and compensates well. The content is easy and pretty straightforward (I barely studied and got a B+ but if you put in the work, you should be able to score an A+). The teacher is organised and available. Would definitly recommend as an elective
Caring teacher, generous with his time and clear feedback.
Very friendly and accessible.
Easy enough course. Midterms were 30 questions in 60 minutes, which I never ended up being able to finish because i personally need more time. Final was no better (worth 70%). I also found myself having to self-teach a lot because the lectures and textbook are not sufficient to help you with assignments. However, most of the material is simple.
