MMKay? This prof was the reason I didn't get pelted by the HUGE READING in the LibArts Freshman Seminar
hahaha...you're right about the mmkay's...good teacher, I learned a lot
I counted the number of times he said mmmmmKay...went to class 6 times...got a B...nuff said
The record while I was taking his Liberal Arts Seminar class was 132 Mmmkays in a single lecture. Excellent professor though.
great prof

This is a class you can skip and still manage to do well. But highly suggest not to because exams are based on class lecture notes. yes, he does say mmmmKay alot. Very nice guy though.
One of the smartest and most inteeligent person i have ever met. He knows EVERYTHING about history and modern day affairs to just name a few categories. Do your self a favor and go to his classes you will learn alot about history. GREAT GUY TOO!
Can vary from extremely good to extremely unreliable. If you're interested in the material he knows more about history than God. Don't bother buying the books. He'll tell you everything you need to know.
I only went to class 3 times....First exam, mid-term and final and I got an A...enough said
never went to class only b/c i could get a grade and exams are pretty easy. but regardless, this guy is great. if you care about an education and not just grades, you'd go and marvel at life.
he is a great professor, very nice and is extremely intelligent. you never have to read because he explains everything in class and there is only three exams, that are very easy.
He knows his stuff. It's one of those classes where you dont need to worry about it. Study for the exams the night before, you will be fine.
GREAT professor. Knows his history, class is actually really interesting and he's a great guy. Easy grade too as long as you study, no reading really necessary.
Great class, he's very fair and he'll teach you so much. His exams are pretty easy, essay and short answer but he gives you the questions before the exam. Take his classes!!!
Very very easy, make sure to take him. Gives you exactly what is going to come in the exam
A very knowledgable man, doesn't need to read from a book for his lectures. Very helpful if you see him before exams. Classes not mandatory, but everthing he says can be used for the exams. This is a perfect history class to take!
This guy's an absolute gem. You really don't have to go to class. 2 essay exams all semester and one 5-7 page paper. Gives you the topics for the exams beforehand and you can choose 2 out of the 6, meaning you only need to know a few things.
Great guy
HUBBARD IS THE MAN....nothing else to say.
such an easy class. such a nice guy. def would take!
Awesome teacher and very good history class to take. Nice guy
If you've seen South Park, he is a real riot...says MMM KAY all the time!! Don't buy the books and you never have to go to class. He gives you the vocab and essays before the tests.

Good guy. Cares about students
D MAN! what more do you need. Gives Study Guide for EXAMS. needs no books. Nice guy(MMMM Kay!) dont buy the picture book. Just do your reading and guaranteed A. no hw, cw, or papers. Sit down and enjoy the A -Train. Would take him again in heart beat. Pretty interesting. Hubbard is my Homie!
Awh, gosh. He's such a sweetie. You can't not like him. Exams are kind of a pain to prepare for, but he's not too hard of a grader.
You have to go and get all the notes, give study guide. Grades on grammer a lot which isnt good but not too bad.
He was late to every class, barely making the 15 minute rule. Not much you can do with this class, but he at least attempted to wake people up. "Mmm Kay" will be heard after every sentence. A jolly guy, can't really go wrong with this class. Don't worry about being late. You'll have time to spare.
MMMMMMMMMMMMkay?
Helped my GPA, and never took one note, or bought the books, went to class just so he knew I was still alive. Trust I am not a genius. He is the man though he knows what he is talking about doesn't need a book cause he is that smart.
overrated teacher.....so boring and takes over a month to corret tests.....by no means an easy A either....im a solid B student and i got a C+
2 papers and 2 tests. Not an easy class to take tests in. Classes are boring too, but he's a cool guy.
Prof. Hubbard is not as easy as everyone around here is saying. Although he gives you exam questions ahead of time, he really expects extreme details. You have to read the textbooks thoroughly to get at least an A-. If you depend solely on the lecture you'll most likely end up with a C.
OVER__RATED!!! Gives study guides for all three exams(3 exams = whole grade) and they are still hard. Tough to get over a B in this class. Not the best professor at Bryant as some claim.
he grades very harshly and is vague, but hes a good guy and well just dont expect to get an A but do expect to do very little
You gotta work for an A, but as long as you take good notes he prepares you well for tests. If you don't think so, then yer just dumb. Knows almost everything there is to know about anything. Great person, great teacher, glad i got to take him as a freshman, junior and senior...
mmmmmmK! if he is your first class, then he will be 15 min late, expects tests to be detailed. But honestly he gives u the test a week ahead so u can do it. A cool guys, will go on tangent if u talk about school parking! Has a creative excuse for every absence. Continue the HmmmmK tallie!
Great guy and great professor. He is very lenient and understanding. He is a tough grader on the tests but definetly worth taking.
Great guy... Tough grader
Such an intelligent man - knows so much history it's almost amazing. Take him if you want to learn something and enjoy going to class.
An excellent professor and a smart man, you will learn a lot about the current state of the world from his interesting tangents. It is incredibly hard to get an A in his upper-level classes, as he looks for extreme specifics, but trust me, the facts that you don't have to do a lot of work and that class is always interesting makes him a keeper.
Expects a lot from your essays on the tests but gives all questions on study guide week before. Surprisingly interesting class. Guy is nice as hell but dont expect your tests back in less than a few weeks.
There are onlye 3 exams. Gives the study right before the test so that you know everything on the exams. Puts 80% of the exams on the essays so you better know them. Make sure you go to class to take notes bc this is what is on the exams even though there is no attendance policy.
Excellent teacher, only counts three tests for your grade, each valued at 33%. Good lecture class.
Great professor. He's very clear with his information, if you go to class and take notes you'll be fine. Gives study guides right before exams so you just have to study that. Only problem is he takes forever to get exams returned.
Take his first class of the day. I had a 10am class, he came consistantly 15-30 min late every day for a 50 min class. The 3 tests aren't hard b/c of the study guide with every test question on it. You just have to study the review sheet right before the test. Can get boring, but often its obvious which lecture will be on the exam.
Hubbard's class is by far my favorite this semester! I never get bored in his class. He has so much knowledge on so many subjects and can keep you intrigued for hours. He makes class interesting and has a great sense of humor. You can't resist laughing when he does, and he's never in a bad mood. He is a pretty hard grader, but really makes you lear
Overall the class is one of my better classes this past semester. He talks about current events for at least half the class every class, he is intelligent and informed, and only has 2 tests and 2 papers for grades. Def recommend him.
So Hubbard's class is pretty interesting and he's enthusiastic about it...you have two tests which aren't too bad and one paper. But honestly--this man is SO LAZY. Right now I only know 1/3 of my grade...he is AWFUL at getting things back ontime and gives the LAMEST excuses that everyone just laughs at b/c they're such bull--it's very frustrating.
The class is interesting, and you will learn. However, he is the laziest professor I have had. It took his 8-weeks to get back out first paper, and we got our midterm exam back on the last day of class. For the papers, pick an easy topic, copy it right of Wikipedia, you wont get caught, because he is too lazy to even check.
this guy is so nice and such an easy professor TAKE HIM IF U CAN! as long as u pay attention in class to what he says about the books and use those points later on in ur essays ull get a good grade He doesnt give u a lot of work either He told us we were going to have 5 short essays and we had 2 and he always extends deadlines overall GREAT GUY!
awesome professor. no attendance policy, but takes attendance. 2 exams and 1 paper make up your grade. class is interesting and this man is a history genius. take notes in class. detailed study guide for exams. i would definitely take him again, very lax class.
I hated history in high school but Hubbard made it really interesting! He REALLY knows his stuff and could teach about any year at the drop of a hat. Study guides made tests easy and doable. My only complaint.. as many others have said.. hes a little lazy getting stuff back to you! But def take him if you can
He chedked out years ago. He repeats the same material in every class. Class and essays are useless. Just look up the material on Wikipedia and you will ensured an A. Do not even bother putting in effort, because he doesnt. He is one professor Bryant would be better without.
Class is simple...you think you'll get an A on every test because you memorized the study quide. NO! Hardest grader ever..i dont think he even reads what you wrote. Shows up to class at least 10-15 minutes late everyday, sometimes even 25 minutes or not at all.Never got tests back. Seems to be an easy class...dont be fooled
talks about world events for half the class, keeps you informed. copy down everything he does say in class (besides the news) and you'll do fine on exams. very fair grader
Prof. Hubbard is great at teaching FFL because he has done it for so long he doesn't necisarly go by that boring book. Allows you to ask him ANYTHING and you can discuss whatever you want in class.. keeps it interesting as much as possible. Just do you Journals and your good to go!
Had Prof Hubbard for Hist of Britain and enjoyed every minute. This teacher has extensive knowledge, and very strong command of English language, able to articulate historical events vividly. I have had most of the hist teachers in this school, he is definetly one of the best.
best history professor there is. talks about the news for half the class. takes attendence with a sign in but it doesn't count. two papers and two exams very straight forward. exam topics are essay form and given to you before the test. takes a while to grade your papers but is a fair grader. if you have to take a history Harry Hubbard is the one!
Hubbard is a nice guy, he knows a lot about his subject, much more than any normal human should ever know. I probably wouldn't mind him at all for a 50 minute class but NEVER EVER take him for a night class. I made the mistake of taking the class and it was the longest 3 hours of my life. He never hands his papers back.
Showed up 15 minutes late every class except on test days and made up the craziest excuses ever, which was nice to get a laugh about. Took 6 weeks to get a paper back, and 4 weeks to get a test back, once again more excuses.
Awsome teacher. KNows everything about everything. Has no flaws as a teacher.
Pr. Hubbard is a good guy. Never ever ever will give your tests and papers back so don't even bother. Papers 8 pages on anything you want in history and the exams are pretty easy. Attendance isn't mandatory and the night class is wicked easy. Definitely take him if u want an easy A
There are certain individuals who disrespect this great professor. He is excellent and i have a lot of respect for him.
LOVE HIM. he knows more about history than any person should. he also knows everything about sports. He is a laid back guy and I like his class and teaching style. He is the best history professor ever. TAKE HIM.
One of hte smartest professors. he doesn't even use notes and class and just talks about anything and everything. very nice guy, always shows up at last 5 minutes late. 3 tests and a final and a 10 page research paper onanything you want. great class
Not a good professor. Doesn't give attention to students, does not return emails. Does not return tests of papers for months if at all. Will not explain the grade he gives you.
It's 9:20 and we're still waiting for him to show up to a 9 AM class. Happens everyday.
smart professor but lazy, gives you all the study guides and grades easy, nice man and a great, easy class def take him for your his class
He's an all around nice guy and his class is a really easy B, you need to work especially hard to get an A, or ridiculously low to get a C. His tests are 100 percent what he gives you on his study guide so don't bother reading the entire chapters, just look up or wikipedia the terms that are on the guide. Also, he never gives you back anything.
Harry Hubbard, where do I begin? Harry is the most amazing professor at Bryant University. I would drop out if he wasn't teaching here anymore. I wish he wouldn't run so fast when you are trying to add into his class. I also want to know what's in his lunch box?
I can't even put what I feel about Harry Hubbard into words. He is one of the best professors at Bryant. People venture to his classes hungover just to hear him speak. You cannot leave Bryant without taking this man!
Hubbard is soo sweet, and keeps the class entertaining with his humor. You don't have to take notes, and you don't have to read anything, just review the study sheet he gives out before each test and you can easily get an A.
Hubbard is the man. His facts may change from day to day, but he always has an excellent reason for the inconsistency!! Constantly late, students tend to mob him in the parking lot and the halls. Don't believe him if he says he'll email your grade, go to office hours. MOST INTERESTING MAN AT BRYANT!
This guy is literally the man. By far the smartest prof at Bryant. Tally up every time he says "in that case" and your notebook will fill. Comes to class late but always has an interesting talk. Very lenient with papers if you have a good excuse. Passed one in 4 days late no penalties received an A. Talk to him and sit in the front row.
EASY CLASS BUT DON"T EXPECT AN A. I recorded what he said directly and put it on the test word for word. B+.It was as if he gave everyone the same grade. LIKE HIS STUDENT, HUBBARD DOESN'T CARE ABOUT GRADES. That being said he's a great story teller and if you pay attention you will enjoy the class. JUST DON"T EXPECT AN A. Also no one pay attention.
Comes late every day, never passes back corrected exams or even tells you your grade even when he promises repeatedly that he will. Just lectures during class -most students don't pay attention. Before exams, he gives you study guide - you can just look all of the terms up on Wikipedia the night before and still do well on the exam.
the person who posted before me hit the nail on the head. Hubby is so easy and compromises a lot. i play backyard baseball on my computer every class. no homework, one paper, 3 tests
Hubbard is great. I like his lectures, although most don't pay attention. He has interesting stories and if you put some effort in on the tests and paper, you'll do fine. He takes weeks to hand things back though.
TAKE HIM! if you dont want to read then you dont have to. we did nothing in class every day. he takes attendence but idk if it actually matters. no homework no tests no quizzes. two or three 2 page papers. very easy. two 5 page papers. also easy. the final is a take home essay. definitely TAKE HIM if you dont feel like doing anything in class
TAKE HIM! no quizzes, no tests, take home essay for final exam. you have to write short journal entries every other week. very easy. we do nothing in class
In his us history since 1865 class right now. We've been learning about the black death for an hour, aka Europe 1340s. So irrelevant. Guys a nut but really entertaining and informative.
Great lecturer who keeps class entertained with stories and is able to deliver information vividly. He takes months to hand things back. You don't have to read the textbook, just look over notes and the study guide and you'll at least get a B on tests. 8 to 10 page paper on anything you want, graded easily. Good class, definitely take him.
A really easy professor but he has a habit of showing up 10 min. late for every single class period. He takes forever to hand things back but is overall an easy grader. He hardly lectures on the topic of the class but when he does he knows his stuff. His tests and paper are easy.
Doesnt really talk about anything relevant, but when he does its good. Seems to know everything about history but doesnt feel the need to inform his students until the paper is due. Easy assignments and everything too.
Easy class, he's 10-15 mins late every day but always has time to stop for coffee before class. Don't bother going to class since he doesn't talk about the subject material. He also fell asleep during our final presentations...
Very boring class but really easy too. if you just want an A, definitely take him. Laptops allowed in class. Only 2 papers and a group presenttion so you should do good.
Knows what he's taking about, not sure if it's that important for assignments though.
Nice guy, but incredibly lazy. Class consisted of him coming in late, asking us about the news, and then lecturing for ten minutes. Only gave us back one grade, doesn't respond to emails, no rubrics provided, and fell asleep during our presentations. I doubt he even read the papers we handed in. He clearly put no effort into teaching this course.
One of the easiest professors i have ever taken. If you are looking for an easy grade then this is the class for you. only had two papers and one powerpoint project for the final. no need to pay attention cause he will fll asleep in class and is usually alays late. Take his night class if possible garunteeded B.
2 (6-8 pg) papers, a midterm, and a final. Takes forever to give papers and exams back, you have to remind him about it and everything else. Really interesting lectures, have not opened the books besides to write the papers (as a source). He is a nice professor and I would definitely recommend him for this course.
He falls asleep during class. You don't do anything during class so bring something to do while your in the class. Doesn't give back any of the papers, i doubt he even reads them. You basically get a B for just sitting there and do nothing. You have two papers, a midterm and a final project.
TAKE THIS GUY. If you want an easy A deff take Hubbard.. you don't even need to go to class & you legit have 2 papers which he never grades or hands back, he plays a bunch of dumb movies and falls asleep half the time. .He even fell asleep during final presentations. If you dont care about learning the subject and want an easy A deff take him.
TAKE THIS CLASS! Its so easy you literally don't even have to go. The downside is that he did not put a single grade online all semester so i have no idea where my grade came from or what i got on any paperassignment.
He comes in late everyday, right before the 15 minute mark when you are allowed to leave. Always with a different excuse. Usually about the drive over. I've had classes when he never gets to the topic. Spends 45 of the 50 min (Sometimes over class time.) talking about the news, weather, or complaining about the school. I use it as a study hall.
Gets of topic majority of the time. Took the genocide course, and rarely discussed genocides. Doesn't give grades back for a very long time.
As a senior, I've only had 4 classes in which I got less than an A-. In Hubbard's freshman-year class I got a C. Hubbard does not teach. He leaves the room to snack. He falls asleep during 100% of student presentations. He has problems. He did not post any grades throughout the semester. He refused to explain why he gave me a C.
I recommend Hubbard for anyone looking for the easiest professor on campus. I took GFCL and only had 2 papers and a midterm, the final was a group presentation, which was so easy. He falls asleep during presentations!, He gives everyone good grades. Don't bother buying the book! I only used it once for the first paper.
Took Hubbard for GFCL: A Century of Genocide and the class is really easy. He assigns reading with the textbook but he did not follow the syllabus' schedule at all. If you are looking for a solid A, good luck because he scrutinizes student's answers to make it impossible. He is really nice overall.
Hubbard is a very nice guy and clearly knows his stuff, but this class is a joke. You don't even have to show up. The grade you receive has no basis for it. He never hands anything back because he never actually reads it. Definitely an easy B, but if you want an A it's tough because he doesn't take the time to read your work.
Easy exams. Classes are extremely boring though.
Hubbard is the man!! He always makes the class laugh and he is an all around good guy! You don't really need the book most of the time, just borrow it from someone when you do.
Great guy. He will accept papers no matter how late they are. He was very considerate if you missed classes for a good reason as well.
Hubbard never hands anything back. We turn in papers and every class he says they're in his office and he 'forgot' to bring them. He doesn't use blackboard, so it's impossible to have an accurate read of your grade. He doesn't follow the calendar on the syllabus at all so we always have to ask him when we're going to have a paper due. I'd avoid him
Professor Hubbard's class is the easiest class I've ever taken at Bryant. He talks A LOT about things that have nothing to do with the class, shows up late, and doesn't check to see if you read. You only need the text book for the first paper, but besides that you don't have to read because he doesn't even pay attention to the syllabus. Easy A!
You will learn nothing in the class. He will often not even talk about the topic he's supposed to talk about. His assignments are really easy, but he doesn't even both reading them. Grades are a lottery system in his class. He randomly assigns grades and doesn't given a single paper back.
Hubbard is a very nice guy. However, he consistently shows up late and never grades anything. Since he never posts anything on blackboard it's difficult to get an idea of how your doing in his class. Overall, very easy with a midterm, two papers, and a group presentation as your final.
Hubbard knows what he is talking about, I'll give him that, but he is not a good professor. He would frequently go off on tangents about random things when he should have been lecturing and would also talk about politics a lot. He sleeps through final presentations, and never hands work back. However you don't do any work you will still pass w/ a B
DO EVERYTHING YOU CAN TO TAKE THIS MAN. Hubbard is a really funny guy and will talk about anything and everything in his lectures. Take his night class if you can, as he often lets it out early or puts a movie on after the break. Class: 1 paper, 1 midterm, final is a group presentation. only warning: hard to reach outside class.
The man's a legend
Hubbard is truly a legend of Bryant. He is a genuine guy who cares about his students and understands how it is to be a stressed college student. One of the best professors to take on the East Coast.
Hubbard is a great guy overall. He has you sign in for class, so just show up. You can use your laptop during class. He also gives you a helpful study guide before exams and you can find all of the terms and essays on google.
I love him so much. Did not get into either of his classes and he signed me in with no problem. I can not explain to you how easy this class is. I would show, do any other class work but his and ended with an A-. 100% recommend. The only hard part about his class is actually getting into it because he is so popular.
Incredible the mans absolutely amazing.
